Checking in after a couple of days. I am down 3 lbs this week. I have been eating better, but not doing as much exercise. I need to do better on my water too.

Hello to all the newbies, I am a stay at home, divorced mom of 4 in Florida. I became a real estate investor somehow by accident! I am currently rehabbing one home and building two others. SO I am pretty busy at getting stressed out, and it makes for eating out alot or quick fattening meals. I just need the willpower to EAT less at night and better during the day. We can all relate right!

I am on xenical as well, started friday 2-25, so i think it is helping me jump start. We can do it anyway we can right!

I´m sorry to hear about your job situation. Even though we all have faith that 'everything will be alright in the end' I know that it can be really stressful until you secure new employment! Fingers crossed that it won´t take too long!

Well, I didn't exactly eat everything in sight yesterday evening. I went and got my hair trimmed instead. Thank goodness I thought of something else that needed to be done. I still ate more than I should have, but not nearly so much as I would have if I hadn't gotten my hair done.

My daughter is still with my mother this week. I don't think I've mentioned her yet. She's 8 years old. Her school had a winter break on Friday and Monday (25th and 28th) so she went to my mother's for a long weekend. And now she's snowed in there!! Which is just fine. Her school was closed yesterday and today for the weather also. And it's been kind of nice to have a break. The house has been soo quiet!

I'm handling the bit about my job a little better this morning. My boyfriend lives with me (since Nov 2004) and he helps with the bills. So, financially, everything should be fine. I guess I'm just getting myself worked up really for nothing. And if I have to go on unemployment for a while, my house certainly could use some work. I could use that time to spring clean and organize things better. And go to the gym. Wait a minute here. Did I say I would rather work? What was I thinking??!! :lol:

Congratulations on your loss! 1 pound is GREAT!! Think of it this way...that´s 1lb that you´ll NEVER see again!!

I know that I can be disappointed sometimes when it seems like a small loss but these 1 and 2 pound lossess quickly add up!! You´re going in the right direction!!!!!

Stephanie sorry about the job stress, but it will all work out in the end.

JME congrats on your weight loss, every little bit helps.

i am doing fine today, a little bummed but hey every little set back helps me become stronger. i gained another pound today, but yesterday i didn't drink my water and i didn't exercise so one pound i don't think is that bad considering what i ate yesterday. I made the mistake of going into the cafeteria at school and they had free ice cream so i ate a scoop of that, and then last night i had a really horrible headace and my husband went and bought me one of those extra thick bacon cheeseburgers at hardee's with some curly fries. i have done okay today though i have only had a ham sandwhich on wheat with lettuce and tomato. I have got to get on this thing i am not anywhere near where i want to be at this time, i can't even reach the five pound loss mark. i don't know what the problem is other than my eating.i think i need a good swift kick in the pants or something. lol anyway ladies i better go and try to start over again.

Oh Lord!, you just dont log on a day or two and you're lost in space in these board!!! :lol: Missed two days and when I come back i found you guys cross crountry, thinking about rewarding yourself with an ipod!, oh my God!, you guys are so doing this!!!!

Congrats to all of you who are doing an effort to look slim, and fit into those size 7 jeans!!! (may I say size 6???).

So, I've been a lilttle bit busy at work these days, and when i come home from classes just want to sleep away till the next morning.

Yesterday i went with my buddies to pizza hut :( , but i manage to make my way out of the pizza sin ;) , and ate an wonderfull cesar salad, yummi!!!, and of course had my ice tea :D (yes, i do love ice tea!!!), that was i big accomplishment, cause i was the only one out of 8 people doing the healthy thing, i almost fell for those breadsticks, but hey!, i thought no you cant eat those!, if you do so, you'll end up eating pizza!!! :lol:

I haven't weight in this week, so i hope to see a drop down in the scale next monday when i weight in.

Oh!, i forgot to tell you, im a sinner!!!, yes i am!!, i had 3 Keebler home maid style oatmeal cookies!!, i just couldnt resist the taste and smell of them!!! :D

Got to go now, i have to head up for class, my sister its taking me, so wont lose the ride. After class im going to the gym, and hopefully when i get home i'll log on again.

Hi everybody,
I saw that newbies were welcome here so i thought it would be a good place to start. This is my very first post!!! Im a 22 year old grad student studying math :) I need to lose about 30 pounds and have been struggling with my weight my whole life. As far as i can remember this is the lightest i've ever been. I have been counting calories trying to eat 1500 a day. I dont excersize nearly as much as i should. I am doing school work about 10-11 hours a day. I try to make sure to get in exersize at least three times a week and could really use some buddies to check in with so i can be held accountable for what i do and dont do. I have to say i read through a lot of the posts and you guys are AMAZING. There are so many of you that are such an inspiration. I hope to be frequenting here everyday. :) HAppy wednesday.

Welcome Adena. That is such a pretty name. I absolutely love this group of people. Everyone is so positive, and even when one of us has an off day, there are at least 5 people boosting that person back up.

Joana- it still astounds me that English isn't your first language. I wish I could speak Spanish about 1/10th as well as you write in English. Of course, I've never had a Spanish lesson so I don't see that happening :lol:

welcome welcome to all the new ladies. I just weighed myself again and now i am up to 254 but instead of eating i went and did 15 min on the statonary bike. so i feel good about it. i think i need to throw away my scale or at the very least move it out from in front of the fridge. i will start fres in the morning, the good news is all the bad stuff is outta my house because i ate it all lol. so i guess i can't eat anymore bad stuff because it's gone. ok well i am going to bed now. i will write again in he morning.

Good evening ladies! And welcome to all you new gals. This is a great place to get encouragement to stay focused.

I hate it when I can't check in on a daily basis. It seems like it takes me forever to read everything to catch up.

Work has been busy the last couple of nights. Last night was open house at school and tonight we had our district spelling bee. At least tonight I got home earlier then last night.

Tomorrow is WI but I feel pretty good about it. My scale at home is showing that I have lost about 4 lbs this week. Its a good thing because I was really starting to get a little discouraged because I have only lost a total of a pound and a half in the last 2 weeks. So this is just what I needed to lift up my spirits. But I guess I will know more tomorrow at WI.

Today is cold and rainy and I just can't get motivated to exercise tonight. The house feels really cool and it is so much nicer to just snuggle up under a blanket. It seems like we have the heat on one day and the A/C on the next. It is suppose to be back up into the low 70's tomorrow. (I hope!)

I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow and I will check back in tomorrow night when I get home.

Hi everyone!
Welcome Andena, I've been checking in everyday, but havent had time to post. ( well I did one then DBF distracted me and I lost it ). The diet is going really well, I think by tommorow I will have lost another kg. I feel great IK am still only planning on doing 30 min exercise everyday but mostly it is 35min this week and I can jog a little now :D woohoo even when I was going to the gym I never jogged. I even talked DBF into walking with me on tuesday night we walked over a couple of blocks to look at a newly renovated house that was done similar to what we want done to ours. Then we ended up at the park near our house it is a huge park with 2 cricket ovals and a basket ball court, tennis court and croquet area. It also has a huge rose garden and kids play area. it was 8pm so we were the only ones there we ran and chased each other like children, racing up and down the hills it was heaps of fun our dog loved it we could take him off lead and he ran around after us. So last night while I was walking I had the urge to start jogging , I started but I had the wrong bra on - maybe tonight. I cooked a wonderful pissa last night from scratch and we had garlic bread and some salad with it - AND I was still under on points - cause I was on 12hr nights and slept all day. I am finding it easier to drink more water on nights cause I get very dehyrated. Talk to you all soon

Adena - Welcome! We're all in this together!

Paige - 4 lbs. is awesome! Keep up the great work!!

Lisa - I'm proud of you for getting on your bike after weighing! But don't worry so much about what the scales say if you are weighing that frequently. I used to weigh myself daily, several times a day. And do you know what?? I drove myself crazy!! You need to concentrate more on what you're eating and getting some movement in. If you do those things the right way, the weight will come off. I'm so proud of you for making good choices when the scales didn't say what you wanted to see! That is how you do it!

Tess - That is awesome! To get all that movement in! And it's really good to get other family members involved! They'll keep you going when you don't feel like getting up!

And as for me, I am FINALLY starting to get back on track after being sick!! I'm still so tired. I haven't gotten any exercise in at all. I do have my diet on track for today though. I've eaten a 200 cal breakfast, I brought a 320 cal lunch to work with me, and I've brought some mini carmel rice cakes for a snack. Those are 60 cals for 7 mini cakes. And they taste great! I'm hoping that I can be down to 225 by Monday. I'm really anxious to see 225 lbs. and then push past it toward 220!!!

Well I woke up this morning still at 106. :( oh well My eating has been irregular so I gueess that is something I have to watch- I am eating all my points per day just I slept most of the day the last couple of days. Exercise is going well 30 min per day, I am still enjoying that. I'm glad youre better now Stephanie.
