Good Morning Everyone,
I am feeling great this morning and ready to get serious about losing this weight. I am making a pot of chicken soup with lots of veggies. I had a WW chocolate muffin with my coffee this morning and am feeling very positive. I know I can do this! I have been trying to get a lot of WW recipes together and thank you all for the ones you have posted. I'm the kind of person that needs to plan ahead what I'm going to eat or I end up grabbing the wrong foods. Bought lots of veggies and fruit for the week.
They cancelled the WW meetings here because they didn't have enough people for the 7:30 meeting. I work until 7:00 p.m. so I can't make it for the 5:30. I feel with your support, I can go it alone, if not I will check out the other towns around the area.
I am going to dust off the treadmill and give it a go. We had an ice storm here yesterday and I was so glad I didn't have to go out, I was supposed to go to a seminar in Toronto, but cancelled.

Wayne is home and doing pretty good. He had his heart attack in the bottom artery leading up to his heart. They put a "stent" in. It's the new medical release type stent.Wayne is 51 yrs. old and has had 2 heart attacks!! The first one was 10 yrs. ago and they did the balloon. This time they couldn't..they had to do the stent.

Thank You for your prayers, asking about Wayne but most of all, Thank you for your love & friendship.

I'll be back in later to post more. I just wanted to give you an update.

BTW: Shelley...Today is Drew's b/day too!! He's 17 today! I never knew that Drew & Patty shared the same day! Oh and he's "into" American Eagle & Abercrombie. These kids!! :chin:

Janice, I'm not doing WW's, but I am watching calories. Basically the same thing.

Sher, I'm glad Wayne is better! The miracles of modern medicine! I have several relatives who have the stent and just breezed through recovery. I hope it works out the same for Wayne. Are you guys going to try to do anything special today for Drew's birthday?

Sherry - So glad Wayne is doing okay. I know exactly what you are going through. Doug had his second heart attack July 1st this year he is 56. They did the stent as well, eight years ago he had his 1st heart attack they had to put in two stents to open that artery - that was on October 31st, I think God is trying to get his attention! Heart attacks on two holidays. He is doing good now except he gets tired fast. He is a bricklayer and went back to work after a month in July. Tell Wayne to take it slow and listen to his body, when he's tired have a nap. Hope he continues to recovery quickly.
Gayle I love the WW chocolate muffins because I eat them instead of cereal and they are full of fiber. I'm not sure about the calories though.

WW Chocolate Muffins

3 Cups All Bran Cereal
2 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 Package of Low Fat Brownie Mix (Betty Crocker I use)

In a bowl put bran and water. Let soak. Sprinkle baking powder over top.
Add brownie mix and mix well. I use the mixer to get a better texture.
Put in greased muffin cups.
Bake 350 for 15-20 minutes.
12-muffins = 1 point each 24-muffins=2 pounts each
Try this its really good.

Sherry-Now that you mention it, I guess in the back of my mind I remembered Drew had the same birthday as Patty. Wish him a very happy birthday.

What a mess this morning! We got there at 6:30, in the dark and waited an hour. Then they let the appointments in first. After waiting about another 20 minutes, we got up there and the computers were down and they couldn't input any new information for drivers that had never been issued a license before. Patty was so dissapointed. We sat there until 8:30 to see if the computers came back up, but they didn't. The lady gave us a preferred pass to get into any driver's license place in the city. We went to Cape Coral to my parents house, then I called the place in Cape Coral, and their computers were back up. Finally, we got it and were on our way by 10:45. What a fiasco that was! Anyway, Patty has driven a bit and is doing very good at it.

Shelley, tell Patty I'm so happy for her! What a great birthday present! Did you two have fun shopping today? Did you guys do anything special for Patty's BD tonight?

Janice, I found the ingredients to make the muffins. Do you use the orginal bran or the buds? I purchased the stick looking one, I figure I'll mix it up with the brownie batter anyways.

That is the ones that I use for the muffins - the ones that look like sticks. All-Bran, or Fibre One are the two that I use. Maybe different brands where you live though.
I had a really good day yesterday, stayed on program and had 21 pts for the day.

Janice, I purchased the original (sticks) All Bran. The buds must be new, they look like grapenuts cereal. I'm getting ready to make a batch now.

How's the weather for everyone? We have had only two nice days since the last ice storm. Today it is ARTIC cold with more snow expected. Did I tell you guys I'm ready for Spring???? LOL!

Dear friends, please say a special prayer for Doni and her family. Without going into details, she had a niece at the tender age of 25 pass away today after an illness. Please send all the support and love you can to Doni right now, her family is suffering horribly.
