Penny, I gained 40 lbs. with Alisa, 39 lbs. with Ally and 50 lbs. with Andrew. So far I've gained 25 lbs. and that is excitement for me.
I go every two weeks until the next time on the 4th, then I'll go every week.

Roxy, Chris - Ouch!! I'm getting frostbite just reading your posts!! Dang, that's cold!

Well, I managed to do aerobics afterall this morning. Figured if I'm going to get sick, I'd better do it now, and it wasn't too bad once I got started. And it'll help me get my water in today. (And I'll need more water to wash down those malted-milk balls - DOWT!! )

Oh, Jilly - I had a gross moment nursing DS this morning - snot was all over my breast. Blllaaaaaaaahhhh. Ick.

And to answer questions on the picky eater - she's almost four, and refuses everything but bacon, Cheerios, the occasional apple, pizza (I always get it with spinach, har har), peanut butter, toast, and milk. (I'm sure there are a few other things, but it's pretty severe.) Oh, and ice cream. But she even resists sweets - won't drink juice, even. So it was an accomplishment. At first, I got her to take the tiniest taste (and if I do say so, I make a beechin' lasagne) and she said, with shock, "This is good!!" But she wasn't used to so much texture, so she still didn't eat much. We're going to work on something new at each meal.

Okay, off to shower my sweaty self. :)

mamawithdreams 12-22-2004 11:08 AM

Tracy, don't want to burst any bubbles and let's hope I'm wrong, but wait until they eat it once and the next time their like, "I don't like this". I HATE that. Alisa is terrible about that. One time Alisa loves lasagna and one day she hates it. It drives me nuts.
Okay, I'm working on some house stuff and doing laundry which isn't fun because my washer and dryer are outside and it's COLD!!!
I'll check in later.

hi -fly by for me....long laughing night last night thanks to some ladies.....names go unmentioned. :) Anyway, I am going to surprise attack my housr today and get it cleaned up! IT looks horrible, the dogs have have socks and underwear drug out all over the house the desk is piled, the kitchen has dishes, and crap everywhere, the entry, kitchen and living rom have christmas presents strewn everywhere from Sunday. and I have nothing wrapped that didn't gp with us on sunday...and out friends are coming over tonight to eat with us and exchange gifts! YIKES! I am over whlemed. Hopefully I can get it all done today! :)
SO if you wanna fly, I'm your lady! LOL! I will get back her to get personal. no gym today for me, just probably thre challenge, but definately tomorrow while dd is at pre-school! :)

TTYL! :) IM me to FLY !!!

chrily 12-22-2004 12:12 PM

Guess what? It's snowing!!! I should have looked out the window before. I hope its stays but who knows around here anymore

On with the food discussion. Tiana is picky...no potatoes, not much into meat, but loves chocolate, macaroni and cheese. She has allergies to bananas and eggs, peanut butter and yeast. Kayla is my little "nothing" eater right now. She will eat breakfast, touches most of her lunch but dinner time rolls around and every night its "i don't like it" to everything on her plate. She hasn't eaten more then 3 bites of her dinner in like a month. And get this...she hates corn but loves peas. What kind of kid is that? Nicole is my walking food disposal. The kid doesn't miss many meals and loves her snacks. She's becoming a little more picky at dinner but not too bad yet.

QOTD: I asked my dh for some pajama lounge pants, the Garfield movie, and a scrapbook cd. I'm not into recieving presents. Whenever anyone asks me what i want, I have a hard tome figuring out anything. I probably the worst dressed because of that fatal flaw. I can go out with the best of intentions for myself and come back with clothes for the kids. Anyhow, not sure what I'll get from dh...I don't know how much money he has in his wallet. Kind of tight this year and I think I took most of his paycheck to get the kids their gifts.

Hey I got a SNOT moment too. Nicole was snoozing in our bed the other night (like usual anymore) and she sneezed. I could hear the stuff but didn't get the kleenex fast enough. She wiped her nose on my pillow. YUCK! Now why couldn't she have faced the other direction to do that?

Michelle-We're finally getting some snow. Not much accumulation though.

melmcc99 12-22-2004 01:23 PM

Hey all! Back from the gym and still have to hit the showers.....don't you just smell me from there? Anyway, I did 35minutes on the Precore Machine and burned 400calories. Give or take about 5 ..when the machine stopped I was at 388 so I kept going for another minute or two. I was burning 11.5 calories per minute. Anyway, I also did about 1/2 hour of sit ups and Foam Roller. Something new the trainer has been showing me. It helps losen muscles and helps with circulation and all. Hard work though. Hurts like heck!

Crystal, WTG on only gaining the 25 so far. Good job staying on track.

Chris, thanks for routing me on. I'm routin for you too. You are doing awesome, especially with that darn RA. You are almost there too. Keep it up girl.

Roxy, You garden must be beautiful. In the spring take a pic for us and send it our way. I'd love to see it!

Penny, have a great day watching you nephew!

Tracy, sorry, I meant dd, your daughter earlier not ds your son. Keep it up with the food. Make it interesting. Picky kids are tough. ds on my end is picky. DD is not at all.

Kristin, hey girl! How's that house comin along? Mine is a disaster. I need a good couple hours to get it spick and span. Good luck.

All from me for now, I have to hit the shower before bugga wakes up!

sharqueen76 12-22-2004 01:25 PM

Good afternoon ladies! I am feeling much better. I have a house full of kids today. I've gotten 480z of water in so far. I am determined to get 100 oz of water in today! It's going to be a great OP day for me.

Mel~ You really are making this a great year to remember! You're well on your way to a new and thinner you.

Crystal~ You have some big babies! I thought 8 lbs 10 oz was big. Hope you're having a wonderful day.

Chris~ You are doing great with the challenge. You seem so motivated. Lets make this another great day!

Michelle~ Your weight will be back down before you know it. YOU CAN DO IT!!

Penny~ Hey!! How's your day so far?? Sending lots of cheers your way for an OP day.

Kristin~ Where are you girl? How's your day going?

Jill~ It must be nice to sleep the day away..LOL! I hope you're having a wonderful OP day.

Roxy~ Hey!! I love gardens! MY family had one growing up. I really miss it. I should start my own. I think I will this summer. We have plenty of space for one.

Tracy~ I'm glad you were able to get dd to eat. I only have one picky child. LIke one of Crystal's kids if she doesn't like the way something looks she won't touch it. You wouldn't think she was picky though because she's a big girl. She'll be 4 on the 27th and she's the same size as her 5 year old sister. They wear the same clothes and shoe sizes.

Well I better go! I hope evryone is having a great day!! I'll bbl.

sharqueen76 12-22-2004 01:31 PM

ooohh QOTD~ I would love a gym subscription for Christmas but it would be hard to get there. If I had to settle for something else I would like my husband to stay home Christmas night instead of volunteering at the ambulance Corp. He said he has to because no one else is signed up. Everyone else wants to spend the day with their family. I told him that's what I want but he didn't say anything, so we'll see.

mamawithdreams 12-22-2004 01:38 PM

I forgot about the QOTD. But I really don't want anything. I mean, dh and I don't swap gifts and I'm not expecting or asking for anything from him. But for my family that will buy me stuff I asked for things for the new house. New linens and I want an electric griddle. I didn't ask but was also wanting some things for the new baby. Diapers, wipes, recieving blankets, lotions, baby bath, powder and such.
But otherwise, I don't get into the gift part of Christmas very much.
Okay, gotta get lunch going. TTYL

sydsmom 12-22-2004 01:43 PM

okay real quick QOTD: I asked for a digital camera.......and I got one! :) WHO-HOO! He gave it to me early so I can use it on X-mas, etc. I love it! I will post the link so you all can see which one it is. I highly recommend it ! :) The other things that I want are a computer program that help you design your own home, it will be helpful for my architectural engineering classes. and also for fun :) and I wanted also a arm band radio for running again...hope i got that too....who knows. :) who cares, I just love the season! :)

I am doing horrible with water today, still on my first glass and its the freaking afternoon! I gotta get moving. Someone asked what we are having for dinner. IT will be LOw fat beef strognaoff, and "lite cresent rolls"....I think I will throw in some msuhrooms and onions (sauteed in mrs dash) for a veggie! :) okay dd is begging for lunch...gotta get moving. i already got the chlean clothes folded/hung and put away and now I am working on general straightening up of the upstairs! :) Love to you all !:)

Kristin, Great Camera. I wish I had a new one, but mine is ok enough for now.

mompen 12-22-2004 03:50 PM

HI Ladies....

Just a flyby for me :(

I am so sick of this house being upside down. A tornado has ran through it!!!EEEEEEEKKKKK!!

So I am cleaning like there is no tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chrily 12-22-2004 04:49 PM

I've had 73 oz. of water so far and have visited the bathroom so many times...arggghhh....

Kristin-That is the same camera I got. You are ABSOLUTELY going to LOVE it. It's called Easyshare for a reason I guess. But it has so many options, its hard to take a bad picture. I know I wouldn't trade mine for anything else.

Melissa-How can you keep up with all that hard work. I'm huffin and puffin my way through mine.

Jeniqua-How's the day going for you? I sure wish your dh would stay home for Christmas night. That would be great for you and your kids. Drink, drink, drink that water. This is supposed to be the easiest of all the challenges but I forget to drink.

Penny-Come clean my house....please!!!!!!!!!!! I got my nephew here today too. My sister is the parent helper in her dd's preschool today. My other sister was busy so I got him. Poor little guy has a goopie eye too. I hate to say it, but I think Nicole spread it to him. Uh oh! My sister still has eye ointment for him though from the summer when Nicole threw sand in his face and he got about a sandbox full in his eye. I have an "angel" .

I better get back to getting them all ready to go get Tiana from school. That'll be about a 10 minute load into the van, for a 5 min. ride, and then the 10 min. unload and round up as they all scatter in forty different directions.

~chris

melmcc99 12-22-2004 05:47 PM

Chris, I've been doing this now for over 2 months. I was huffing and puffin for a while. All though, I am huffin and puffin here too, just a good kind.

Anyway, DD is sick :( she has a 202.7 fever and rising. I hope it;s not the flu. I don't think it is, but always nervous about that. So you won't see me back on tonight. I want to stay with her and snuggle her. DH is doing that now. He's going out later with a friend. I got my water in though. bbt
