Yes I did have a good birthday, Sunday I woke up and could smell bacon cooking :lol:, I am like a damn blood hound when it comes to smelling food!! So hus made breakfast, cake and the kids got me some presents. I got a beautiful arrangement of flowers delivered from my brother in CA. They have sunflowers, lillies, roses, carnations, and greenery. They are beautiful.

Noelle how are you? I hope your day got less crazy for you :dizzy:. My ds starts pre-k tomorrow and has a physical with four or five shots after that. Ugh, I am not looking foward to that. It was easier when he was a baby, well not really, but the holding him down part is going to be harder and bring me to tears :^:.

Angie and Kempy: I am really sorry to hear about your pets. I have not owned a cat in several years, ever since I learned I'm allergic. I am working on getting Ashley a dog. She's wanted a black poodle for over a year, so we are checking often with the humane society here. They have us on a list for a black poodle, if they happen to get one.

DH will be home in 10 days (Ashley's counting) :D In fact, she's been crossing the days off since Sept 1. Hubbie said it snowed today and the weather forecast is for up to 3 inches of snow by tomorrow evening. I think he will be glad to leave when he is. Of course, he has asked me if I'd like to move up there. I think his brain is already frozen. :lol:

Noelle: I'm looking forward to hearing from you and getting your travel info. My sister and I are looking at hotels now in the Disneyland area, but I would like to know where you will be staying and maybe we can get close by. We will be there on Sat, Oct 2. My sis has to be back to work on Monday, but I may stay over. PM me with your info. I'm really looking forward to meeting you.

Cal, Have you checked on Petfinder for a poodle? You can look specifically for poodles. It usually doesnt matter what state it is located in because there are people who will help transport it to you. That is what happened with Mickey. He came from Tennessee.

Kempy, I heard on the news this morning that your governor has told everyone to move to higher ground. Do you have to leave? Do you have anywhere to go that will be safe?

I am down one pound from my normal weight so that is pretty good. Just 70 more to go. :lol:

Good Monrning guys. It is pandamonium down here today. The gas satations are starting to run out of regular gas and we still have one day b4 the storm makes land fall somewhere. They still really don't know where it is going to hit so everyone is making preperations. The interstate going into New Orleans is closed so they can atleast keep people from heading into the city. They issued a voluntary evacuation for NO but we don't have to leave. NO is like a bowl so they can flood pretty easy. In fact some of the houses are below the river level and when a ship passes by it is riding higher than their house. Really weird to see that. I think we are just going to stay at home. I think we should be ok. The only think I worry about it our hugh windows on the back of the house. They are 84 x 96. Those are pretty big and I have three that size.

Cal when is it again that you and Noelle get to hang out? Yiou guys better take some pictures and post them here. That is just the coolest thing I have ever heard. I never thought any of us would actually get to meet.

Joe just called me from the store asking what I wanted for food. I can see now that this storm is ging to be a reason to eat. He is getting cookies and chips. Just what I need in the house. I have to cook dinner for my eighbor tomorrow night. It is her b-day and her hubby is out of town. I hope she doens't mind if it is pouring outside.

Kempy, I hope you guys stay safe. I would be scared to death. Do the pups flip out when you get storms? I would use it as an excuse to eat too. :lol: I got Julie the same thing you got me for my B-day. It is a neat idea. I never knew you could do that until you did.

I got in a walk this morning. We are only doing the 1 1/2 mile walk but it is the one that is half uphill. By the way me and Candi are breathing I guess it is something. :lol:

Joe got some ply wood to cover up the windows. He said he saw one of ouor neighbors and they are covering their windows so I guess he thinks we should too. he is getting one of his friends to come over and move all of or furniture off of the deck and into the garage. I cant help him with my arm hurting still. The dogs don't really mind. The only bad thing now is that Echo is in heat so even if I give thema bath to stay inside we are going to have to get some sort of diaper on her.

I send those gift certificates to Joe's family. It is easier than trying to ship something to them. That way you can just pick out what you want. There are lots of sites that offer that. You can even sent bigger stores gift cards. As long as you know that one is in their area.

I don't think I will be getting any walking in this week. Good for you though.

Well about my day....snif, snif, he is act school. When he walked in the classroom he asked where is the organ and piano? He wanted to go into the upper part of the church and play it :lol:. He looked scared to death walking out the door this morning but I think he will warm up in no time! I feel a little sad, did not cry as much as I thought I would, I did not let him see me cry ;). It feels like he was just a week old and had that special brand new baby smell and I was rocking him in my arms. Well I shut up now :lol:!! Sorry for rambling.
