Jana~ It would be cool if Tommy had made some parts for Marti’s car. We have been trying to keep ourselves composed in front of family. But it is really tough behind closed doors so to speak! Brandon loves doing seafood….you know where they show you what they are eating. We were out late last night because of our niece Koryn’s birthday party, so I am going to give him his missed cereal in the morning and then again right before bed time. But I am thinking that that will be too much cereal. What do you all think?

Susan~ Thanks for the best of luck/good luck! Right now we really need it! Sorry to hear about Rachel getting hurt. I hope she is doing better today.

Marti~ Yup, I am usually up pretty late, although I should try and get things done early in the morning, that way I can head to bed at a decent hour. Although with the Olympics going on, I highly doubt that because me and Brandon have gotten used to watching them. Nice looking car girl!!

What a busy weekend.
Jana, I like the new bedroom look... and congrats on the loss.
Susan, when my Grandpa was alive we did alot of fishing and drying of the fish.
Marti, YAY for both the loss and the new vehicle.
Julie, wow, what a difference...were you doing BFL?
Elle, I had to laugh about your response,,,I did not come across these men in the bathroom but out in public, I was in my vehicle. And well I would have been just as grossed out with the FULL sexual display had it been a man and woman. Holding hands, kisses and making googly eyes to each other is all good....the rest...GET A ROOM!

Monte doesn't make too many comments about my cases,,,he did come with me once and hated it...TOO BORING...lol
So took Brandon to his DR appointment, he has surgery scheduled for Oct 7th, they will be taking a piece of his bone from his hip and wedging it into the long outer bone of his foot. I felt a bit confused and she (DR) wasn't giving me enough info. And I think she knew that...do you ever come across someone who can't talk in layman's terms?
Well anyways, Tanner broke his hand last night at practise, and we ended up at the Children's hospital (same one Bran will be going to) and his Dr. and I started talking and I told him about Bran's surgery. Anyways he asked me if Bran's feet grew REALLy fast in a short period of time,,and I was like he was a size 9 in grade 9 and then by 10 he was a size 11, and within 6 months of that, a 14. He said that is why he has problems with his feet...ahhhh now I understand...some parts of his bone haven't grown as long as some have...OUCH!
Tanner still suited up and went to his games today, and with alot of foam and duct tape played one out of the 3 games today...
I am soOOO sunburned! and with less then 7 days till Cuba,,,I won't need to go and fake and bake this week to make a base tan. I will give my minutes to Brandon,,,(my lil white chicken breast...lol)
We are going to a family thing tomorrow, Monte's cousin is a minister and he was given a church in rural Saskatewan.
Angelika, Becky, Lori and I got to gether tonight and watched Connie and Carla,,,hilarious, same actresses from my big fat greek wedding and the sixth sense.
We did makeup and hair too,,,well I did their makeup and hair,,,and wow they were impressed.

good cause I've been losing about a lb a week the last 3 weeks, so something is working!!!!

Well hope you all have a nice end of the weekend!!! We finally have nice weather here today, so I want to take advantage of it and do something outdoors today!!! Thanks again for all your support on the pictures!!! It really means alot to have such support from people who are experiencing the issue of being overweight themselves, sometimes it's not the same to hear it from people who have never struggled with a weight problem!!!

Mindee - sorry to hear about Brandon needing an operation, he's so little for that, but Im sure it will all work out for the best!!!

Jana - you can still send over that recipe, I'd be interested in trying it out?? Would you happen to have the point value for it as well??

Angie--Only 7 days until Cuba!!! I'm so excited for you! I wanna go, but since I can't, make sure you take tons of photos so we can see the luxury you experienced while you're there!

Mindee-I don't think feeding cereal twice in a day right now would be too bad. As long as it's not too much. He'll start wanting that stuff a lot more than formula or breast before too long anyway. They grow so fast.

Julie--Hurray for the pound down!! Take it slowly girl.....I have to do the same thing, so slow is a GOOD way to lose! And you've made so much progress so far...60 some pounds already?? Thats a great accomplishment!!

I've been trying to do a little Jaded Ladies catch up, but y'all are just too fast for me! Can't believe how many threads have been started since I left. Geez, I've only been gone a week!

Good news

* Met Susan! You all know that already. i'm such a brazen hussy - walking up to strangers in public parks :dizzy: Well susan- I had a 7$ bagel, too, only I had mine at Chateau Benoit in Lincoln City and it had cream cheese, smoked salmon, and tomato on it. Guess $7 goes a little further there, lol BTW, I can get Noah's bagels at Costco for something like 3.75 for two dozen - pretty slick. I freeze them in a little chest freezer I keep in the garage.

* the coast was great, It has been so hot in the Willamette Valley ( right ladies?) the beach was a very mild 65-70 deg everywhere we went - heaven!

* Was very polite to the X/W, and she to me ( Now my dad was another story :mad: ) but dinner went ok for the most part and Dad got to visit his grandkids. Brookings is a beautiful place to visit. It is the southern most city on the Oregon coast. My Dad lives in a gated community (gulp) on a cliff overlooking the ocean. It is stunning. He belongs to the yacht club and from where he lives he can watch all the boats going in and out of the harbor. kind of like a bourgois Gladys Kravits (from Bewitched) The gatedness of it all kind of cracked me up - it's so not me! When we approached the gate in our car, just on the other side was a large "Welcome" sign. I chuckled, "yeah you're welcome alright ...if you can get IN!"

* the REALLY good news is that my cousin from Florida has emerged unscathed from the wrath of Hurricane Charley. She, her DH, and their 2 y/o live in Clermont which I believe in one hour east of Orlando. She said they didn't even lose power but has had a 3 day boil water alert. Her Dh works (ed) at a bookstore in downtown Orlando that was right in the path of the hurricane, so, sadly, they suspect he does not have a job anymore. They hadn't heard about the building at last news. We have been very worried and so glad all are well - very scary stuff.

Bad news -

* I ate my way down and up the Oregon Coast. I was stressed about the family tensions and my TOM kicked in, so I just threw in the towel for the week and ate whatever I wanted. Time to put down the fork, missy, and step away from the table.... I'm not weighing myself for a week.......


Hey - that's really the only bad news! Life is good!

Cristi - I had my living room done in burgandy, navy and green until last winter! Got all that stuff boxed up, too, lol!

Mindee - Mary and Dale gave their little ones cereal morning and night, and they did ok with it. Before you know it, you'll be adding some applesauce to it, too.

Angie - OMG! You've really got a lot going on - Tanner's broken hand, Brandon's surgery and vacation in 7 days! When will you have time to pack? Did you get all the shots you need?

Today was just so much fun! I went to a reception for an anniversary and had such a good time. Then, spent hours outsidewith the fam, and a had a surprise visit from a sister and her BF. Plus, the house is all nice and clean, and that makes me smile 'cause I'm all ready for my friend tomorrow.

Rachel is much better. Funny listening to her on the phone tell all her friends about the close call with the go cart. Pretty soon you start hearing....." ya, and they thought they might have to cut the leg off ..." lol..........whatEVER....

Took them to church and it was great !! It really was........

I saw Calendar Girls yesterday and got Mona Lisa Smile & In Laws today but didn't have time to watch them.

Gabster went with her father tonight until Tuesday morning. He was a snot....I won't go into it but what a drip........a drippy snot!!! lol

oh...........brother has set me up. When Christian Sites don't work.....and really..........putting "Christian" in front of a man means nothing when they don't act like one.....so , brother has set me up with a friend of his........42 year old computer guy....he is suppose to call tonight. Mindee, both my boys were eating cereal pretty early. But then again both boys were over 9 lbs each and well I just couldn't keep up some days...lol I always say to its a great way for dad's to bond with baby if you are breast feeding to be able to feed the cereal. Fingers crossed all is well with Tommy's job.

Monte's cousins family BBQ went well, kinda sad to see them off. There are 11 great grandkids, and we had family pics done,,last time was when Tanner was 1 yrs old. Hes the second youngest.

Hello all my ladies!!!
Well, I had such a good time at my annual POlish Booyah feast. It was delicious as always and even though I was sad that not all my family was able to be there ( my mother has five brothers and four sister and they have spouses and children, Big Polish family) I had a great time visiting those that were there. Always nice to see my grandpa and my cousins little cutey patootie daughter ( the only great grandchild so far) was there. Took pictures of course, I will share when I get them uploaded. I told my boyfriend, " I want one of those!!" She is that cute. Anywho, I had a blast , stayed for about four hours and then everyone started heading home. which is sad. I only get to see them all about twice or so a year. It also get a little sad at these now, sicne my grandma!ma! is no longer with us. It has been three years now, she died two days after my birthday after fighting seven years with three different types of cancer. She was the one that made the booyah every year in the huge metal drum outside. I don't think I will ever get over it, she was very special to me, so it is both a sad and happy time every year. Anywho, Enough of that, I will share pics later this week.

Jana: yeah for another pound missy. You are on such a roll, that is awesome and I thought you quilted bedroom was very classic and beautiful. I am currently still putting my decorating and remodeling ideas in an accordian file for if I ever have ahome of my own. So if any of you ladies needs ideas or help, interior designer shanna can help you out. :lol:
Marti: yeah for the one pound too. I knew you could do it missy teeny tiny. Boy, I don't know if I can be seen around you anymore, I am going to look like godzilla next to you. I am soo ashamed of myself and how I look, I don't even want to go to the store or anywhere so people will have to see me. I just want to stay at home or in the car. Ugghh. I am soo proud of you though and hope you and james had a great time together this weekend, you guys earned it. I do have that book you wanted to borrow, it has four books in one in it and included is that other book I recommended. So you can borrow it anytime. Well, when I can get it to you next.
Cristi: I wanted to thank you so much for that wonderful uplifting card you sent me. It is nice to know that when I am going through a rough time , that your cards can bring a smile to my face and let me know that i am not alone. thank you for that, it was really apperciated.

Hello ladies…..how are you all doing?

I just gave him his first taste of cereal Thursday night! He LOVED it, and then got mad at me because I told him that once the bowl was empty there was no more until tomorrow. Then he got a bath because he kept putting his fingers in his mouth after each bite!

Well, things have taking a turn for the worst so to speak. My hubby came home from work today and told me that they suspended him for something that he didn’t do. They told him that when some one gets in on Monday, they will investigate into it. So Tommy is going to look around for a new job just in case or for unemployment until he can get a new job. And since money has been tight as it is, things are going to be extremely tight around here now.

On top of it all I have to call tomorrow morning an schedule Brandon’s 4 month check up. I guess it is a good thing that he is covered by Medicaid for a year after his birth. So that will help out, since his doctor’s visit was going to cost us $90 for 5 shots and the visit. ($15 co-pay for them all.)

Ok….Friday was a weird day around here! First off, I checked around 11am for the mail, and since it was rainy and drizzly I didn’t think there would be any. Well, there was, so I pulled it out since I couldn’t remember if we had pulled it out on Thursday. A little later when I was changing Brandon I had his blinds up in his room, and here came the mail lady again. So we went and got the mail. A little while later I stuck my hand out the door to see if it was still raining…..and lo and behold we had gotten MORE mail! So that was three times in one day!!

Before all that, I woke up to Tommy yelling at the dog because she pooped in the living room. Which is something that she has NEVER done here! Even when I was in the hospital with Brandon and Tommy was at work, and she was out roaming the house by herself, she STILL didn’t do it! So that was a little weird.

Then Tommy was getting ready to go get some hamburger to make mostaccioli for our niece Koryn’s birthday party on Saturday, and he picked up his cell phone. He had one voicemail, which is odd because it is my cell phone, and neither one has voicemail. He checks it and gets “oh, hi this is Britney Spears, and I have a message for you.” He dialed the number it said to, and on came a message with her voice saying “hi, I hear you are my number one fan, and I am calling to tell you about my newest product that I have coming out.” It was for some kind of perfume that she has coming out. Now this is the weirdest part, because for one, how in the world did I get this message on my phone. And two, I am by far her biggest fan!

Has anyone tried the new Mountain Dew out there? It is called Pitch Black, and it takes just like grape kool-aid! I love it….and so does my hubby. We like it better then that Pepsi Blue that they had out a couple summers ago.

I think me and Brandon have watched too many Olympics at night time or during the day. He thinks he is cute when he practices his spring board diving. He will scoot half way down the bassinet, and then when he realizes he is at the bottom, he will push off the bottom to scoot back up to the top. And then last night, well this morning, he decided that he didn’t want to sleep with any blankets on, so he kicked them all off, then when I put them back on him, he kicked them off again.

My sister Beth, offered to make Brandon’s Halloween costume for us! She is going to make him a ducky since he loves duckies!!! We are thinking of doing the ducky theme for his first birthday!

Julie~ My Brandon doesn’t need an operation. Angie’s Brandon is getting the operation.

Marti~ Thanks for the info. I gave him it twice on Sunday, and he loved it. Although after he had it at night, he was really congested and wasn’t drinking his bubba too well. So I think it was from his teeth bothering him because I gave him some Tylenol and then rubbed them with Orajel and he was a happy camper again.

Jana~ I was going to buy some first stage applesauce while we were out today, but I decided to wait on it for now.

Angie~ Thanks for the info on the cereal. Brandon (or Bdo as he is called) is bottle fed, so daddy gets to help in that department. And thanks for having your fingers crossed for Tommy’s job.

Jana--Sounds like you had a wonderful day. Your post sounded so cheerful. I too like seeing photos posted. I will try and get some updated ones up soon. May go to the coast tomorrow...not sure, but will get pictures!! About the car.....it will be a few months. Time for us to figure out if we can buy it or not.

Susan--You never know what someones "type" is until you meet and get to know the person. So go and talk with the guy and get to know him! :) What happened to CG?

Angie--I am happy to hear that Tanners hand is not broken!! And I will keep Brandon in my thoughts that the surgery goes well on his foot and that he won't have any more problems with it afterwards. Poor guy!! Which one is older again??

Shanna--Glad you have a great time at your polish gathering. I can understand missing your grandma a the event. The holidays just aren't the same without my grandma....she was the center of it all! This year will be hard. And as for the Godzilla comment....puh-leaze!!! You make me sound like I'm this petite little thing!

Mindee--Poor baby teething!! Do you have those rubber rings you put in the freezer so he can naw on them? Jhanai loved those. Very strange about the phone call!! I will check out the website and see your updated photos tomorrow when I have more time.

whew...I was trying to make my individuals quick! that didn't work did it? Today was a nice relaxing day. James called in for his four days off. Yeah I can hear you all now...but hasn't he already been off for four days? Well yes he has! :) Here is what he did. He got off work Wednesday morning and went to bed....got up and saw that he was 3rd out (they go down a list) and he was thinking that he didn't get much sleep and he was planning on taking those four days so thought he'll take a personal day on top. Well.....his personal day doesn't start until he was suppose to go out to work.....and that didn't happen until last night. (He would usually be sitting in the hotel waiting for the call!) So tonight he would have had to go back but he put in for his four days and now he doesn't go back until Thursday night. Nice time off isn't it? I'm liking it. :)

Ok...since this is so long I will go for now...I could say so much more but I don't want to wear out your eyes! :dizzy:

Marti~ He actually does have a toy sitting in the freezer, but I just wanted him to eat and get to bed that I was going to save that for another time. I am thinking about switching him to cereal once in the morning and once at night, to see what that will do.

Mindee - were you happy or sad to see Aunt Flo? The duck costume sounds so cute! I made 50's poodle skirts for the twins (16 mos. old at the time)last year, in red, and the girls looked adorable! I'm the grandma - what else would I think???? :D

That is ok Angie!! Rachel is fine. She got to know the youth pastor that night between sobs......lol.

I have to get to work. The chat with "Tom".....went fine. We have some things in common , some things we are far apart in. I think the main thing I would like in a man is someone that can accept my daughters, and of course worship and adore me. lol
So, we will see. He said he would like to take me to lunch on Saturday. I have to work , I forgot about that. So, might have to change that date.
