Excercise Tapes/Techniques

Hi everyone,
I'm a new member and I am currently looking for new methods of excercise that I can do to encourage my weight loss. Does anyone have any good excercise tapes that give good results? I am pretty much up for any type of excercise, so all suggestions are welcome.

Neka :)

Hi Neka--

Welcome!! Hope you enjoy this site...it is so wonderful to keep in touch with others who are in the same boat as I am...and I think you'll enjoy it as much as the girls here do.

I don't have many tapes at all.....but I do have some yoga and pilates tapes and I think they are just wonderful to work with. It's not strenuous and it really does tone the body. Plus it really helps relax your body! Right off hand I can't think of the names of the tapes...but they are for beginners. I think any of them would be great.

There are other girls here who also have tapes so I'm sure you'll get more responses than my little ones. :)

Join us in the chit chat thread...we would ALL like to get to know you more. There is also an excercise challenge that we're starting on Monday...check it out and see if that is something that would interest you and maybe get you going.

Take care and hope to hear more from you!

Hi Neka

Welcome Aboard!!
My favorites are Crunch Fitness Pilates and I also like the FIRM tap series, I enjoy anything with step aerobics and I also like Tae Bo...
You just need to get a little variety of different types of tapes that you enjoy, that way you can rotate them so you dont get bored!!!

Hi Neka and WELCOME!

As far as the exercise tapes go I have a few favs. I enjoy the WATP with Leslie Sansone, Richard Simmons (I have had forever but it is still fun) and Denise Austins Pilates. The WATP videos, I have the 2 and 4 mile ones, can't find the 3 mile. I just saw a commercial where she has a new Pilates video that looks interesting I may try. While I don't actually do the videos often I do like them. My main form of exercise is walking, doing weights when my arm permits me, and riding a stationary bike. Hope you get some good ideas from everyone.
