Default I'm baaaaaack...

but just for a few minutes again, not enough time to do individuals.

Went to Lenscrafters to get DD glasses. They are cute! I wish I could wear some of the cute styles they have but they just don't look so great on me. she got some with the black frame-they look good. Had planned on getting a haircut while there but once we got the glasses picked out and went to spend a little over an hour in the mall (so we didn't have to come back later) went around the corner where I usually get my hair done and they are remodeling the place, darn! Next is physical therapy for my arm, not sure how long that is going to take but won't be on the computer till later this evening and will post more then. Take care all.

Hope you all are having a fun friday!

TJ--Of coarse you're invited!! Everyone is! So don't ever feel like you're intruding.

We chat on Thursday nights, at 7:00 my time, so I'm not sure what time that would be for you, I'm in Oregon.......

But anytime you see anyone online.....just ask if they want to chat and then go from there!!

If I had more time, I'd go in there right now!!

Best get going!!

Afternoon,

Sneaking on the puter before I really have to buck down and get some work done.

Welcome Mindee!! I read your bio. You sound like a sweet young lady ( hey, I am 40.....everyone is getting younger!! lol). I lost 110 pounds several years ago and I think being a mother gave me a lot of motivation to live a healthier lifestyle. It was frustrating not being able to have the energy level I needed to keep up with little ones. Just blabbering.
Just welcome and I hope you enjoy your time here

Jana- It is a Biography. I think the author is young and works for People magazine. At least that is what I got from the backside. I am only in the first chapter. Struggle to find the time to read.

mmmmm, no CS in the mail. He said he mailed something Wednesday and $20 yesterday. Certainly doesn't take this long. Trying not to get PO'ld.....is that a word??? It is now.........lol
argh.........trust comes with time. trust comes with truth.....he isn't going to get my trust unless he ships shapes up.....

Anyway, MercyMe & Michael W. Smith in PDX tonight - wish I could have gone. Love that "I can only imagine " song.....

best get!!!!

HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To you all

Hi Ladies,

RK - if you still can't find your cervix, maybe Angie could be called in on the case... she has connections! Just as long as there's no undercover work involved. Or you could place an ad in the Lost and Found....

Cristi - I walked on my treadmill this morning, too. I usually do that in the evening before my shower, but wanted to get it out of the way. Hope your arm is feeling better. About the glasses - who says they don't look good on you? Could it be that you just aren't used to the style? You are very pretty, and I think most glasses would look good on you!

Jen - if I were you, I'd be doing my banking at the drive-through, lol. I'd love to see Journey! Can I tag along?? How's the new hair style?

TJ - the chat is at 10:00 PM your time on Thursdays. Sheesh, that's kinda late for you ... we could always start earlier. We Indiana ones were the furthest east until now. Just let us know how that works for you, ok, and we'll work something out? All Jaded Ladies are invited! When you get there, go to the Jaded Ladies sub-room, ok?

Marti - hope you've been having fun with James. When will he be back again? What did he think of the scrapbook pages you've done? I bet he's impressed.

Susan - hmmm... maybe you'll get your CS tomorrow. Sweetie, I'M the old one... never even heard of the bands you mentioned. I knew a Mike Smith in high school - does that count, lol.

Well, ladies, I had a fender bender with Neal's 2001 Dodge Ram extended cab truck today. He took my van to put gas in it, and so I took his truck. Some &^%$# in the parking lot of Wal-Mart was closing his door while I pulled into the parking space next to him, then let his door fly open, and I hit it. (crunch) The cop said it was my fault, since the guy's vehicle wasn't running, and mine was. It showed I didn't have complete control of my vehicle, he said. But I didn't get a ticket, so that's good. Then my insurance company calls and says "you might want to pay this claim yourselves, because if we do, you will lose your safe driver discount." I conferred with Neal and then told her to pay it with all the premuim money we have sent. Can you believe it!!

Neal was real sweet about it, asking only if I was okay. But I feel bad for hurting his truck! My BIL is a body man, so he can get the dent out of it for us.

Well, that's my big news of the day, lol. What's everyone else been up to?

I'm back!

My day has gone alright. I woke up way too early, so I was really pooped by around 2. I had grand plans to drop James off at fencing camp, then get a walk in with my daughter before meeting up with other parents of her incoming preschool class to play at Gabriel Park. The weather was NOT cooperating - lots of off and on rain today. I canceled on the park playdate, and worked out at home. At least got in some cardio on the stepper. I have some stretches I am supposed to do for my shoulder, but, man, it is hurting! I am taking 3 alleve a day and icing it down. I have another PT on Monday so hopefully I'll get some massage therapy out of this. I'm trying to figure out a way to convince the therapist that this shoulder injury has somehow managed to affect my lower back, so I can get that massaged, too

TJ - I posted over on the exercise thread you started, I think it is a great idea. I sometimes use videos at home, so I like to know what others are using. Of course, I am always willing to share what i am doing ( or bellyache about what I am not doing, lol)

Jana - so sorry to hear about the fender bender. I hate that kind of stuff, even when it is covered by insurance. It's a major disruption - to me at least. My DH and I were involved in a car accident in '92 that totaled our car. we weren't seriously hurt, thank goodness and it was ruled not our fault. Then my dh was rearended 5 weeks later by an uninsured driver. The ensuing insurance entanglements and lawsuits and whatnot were yucky and I never want to do it again.

Susan - hope the CS thing gets resolved soon...what a pain. Jana has a point - if he's filing tax returns, that ought to mean something. If he's getting paid under the table, that has to be supremely frustrating. I'm so glad you will be able to go to church on Wednesdays - that ought to cheer you up. I've had alot of emotional things to deal with this summer, but I go to church on Sunday and pray and learn a lesson and somehow it all gets put into perspective.

Welcome Mindee!
Happy Birthday, Carree

Hi to everyone else!

BTW - my cervix says hi - hee hee It is not very happy with me however for subjecting it ( her?) to incompetent medical professionals

Hi there girls--

James has just left for Portland so here I am.....not sure when I'll see him. It sure was nice to have the three days with him!!!

Now for my individuals!!

Angie--Is Chapters a book store? I haven't tried our book stores yet...I do have a coupon and so I may check it out. But I would love to read it while I find it....would Monte mind me borrowing it? I really would like to hang out with you on one of your stakeouts!! Just to watch you in action. Do you still dress up to disguise yourself??? Next time you do, get a picture done!!

Mindee--Once again--Welcome!! Hope you enjoy our little area!!

Jana--I will take a photo of what I did last night. I just played around with the stencil on a piece of paper to see how they looked. So I will post that so you have an idea of what I'm talking about! Sure does look purdy!!! So sorry to hear about your fender bender!! I can't believe they laid the blame on you! Who cares whose car was running! People should pay attention to whats going on around them! Glad that Neal was supportive and cared more about you then the car!

RK--The woman with the missing cervix!! What was your doctor thinking?? Now from one of my pass exams (soon after my son was born.....so that was quite some time!) I was all ready for the awful experiece....hated the process...well the midwife I had was getting ready to insert the "jaws of life" as I call it....and when she had it in place and was locking it.....what do you know, the darn thing sprang out and shot across the floor. Now....how embarassing is that????? I was only about 18 and man was my face red!! I just gave her this look like "was that suppose to happen?" It was horrible.

Cristi--I think you'd look adorable in any pair of glasses you get! I'm starting to think that I may need some reading glasses. My whole family wears them, so I am a little surprised that I haven't had them yet! Even Jhanai has a pair which can be a task to have her remember to wear them. But if you're looking for a new frame...try them all on and get someone elses opinion on them besides just your own. Sometimes we are just too judgemental on how we look. (And I bet you look adorable in any frame!!)

Susan--What does PDX stand for? I know it has something to do with Portland, but that is all I can think of. So clue me in!! James is heading up your way. Will be staying at the Residence Inn near the Lloyd Center. And this time he's taking his truck up so he's not without a vehicle to go places. And when he travels down south his truck will stay up there, and I will pick him up in Eugene....then he'll take the ugly yellow beast to the Eugene area and park it there so he won't have to have me pick him up. (did all that make sense?) Anyway....say hi to him when you see him!

Hello to the rest of you girls!

Well I'm going to take a picture of the cuts I made and get it on here for Jana to see. You may like it enough to go out and buy one yourself. (only $4) pretty cheap.

BBL

Smile Thanks for the Birthday Wishes!

Jana, Susan Christi and Jen,

Thanks so much for the Birthday wishes. I can't believe I'm 57! The latest with me this summer is that I am now on bioidentical hormones. Exactly one month today. I feel so much better! I haven't really slept well for about 10 years. I have slept through the night with the very first pill. You gals are probably all too young to know about most of this stuff yet. But I am so glad that when your time comes, there is help. You don't have to suffer needlessly.

Love,
carree

Personally I am not saying hello to anyones cervix, yuk! lol

PDX means Portland as far as I know, Marti. lol I will meet James!! Does he have any RR men pals?? Anyone in their 40's???

RK- he doesn't file taxes. I don't think he is THAT responsible. lol We''ll see what happens tomorrow. I hate to connect him seeing Gaby with $$ but it makes me just want to not let her go with him.

Anyway- I am sipping a diet pepsi. I had a bag of popcorn. Been chatting with a cable man for a week now.He is sweet............*rolling eyes* funny as heck. I don't know what he looks like though. .......minor details. He is a blonde Italian!! I never heard of such a thing, lives in Sherwood......isn't that where Robin Hood lived?? lol
He is suppsoe to call tonight, second phone conversation.........

I guess that is it. Basketball camp starts next week for the girls. Gabster is a hoot...............love my job! Finished 6 pages in my book, plugging along.

ttfn

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARREE

Smile Hello Ladies~

Carree~glad to see ya checking in and hope you had a great birthday.

Jana~you are too kind. I know I am too critical of myself. I had decided last night to start getting the walking in early that way I wouldn't have to worry about it the rest of the day. Doesn't always happen that way but I am planning on it. Sorry about your fender bender and glad Neal took it well, and of course you weren't hurt. My arm is better-the therapist is a good thing although when I left there I was in more pain-ouch! I have some exercises I need to do over the weekend and see her three times next week-we'll see how that goes.

RosieKate~Sorry to hear about the 5 lbs.-certainly it can't be right! I know I had that happen to me one time with my scales, they were so goofy. I finally had to go buy some new ones. Hope your arm gets better.

Susan~you are silly I do hope you get the CS soon. Glad you got your scheduled changed even if it is on a trial basis. Cable man huh?!

Jen~maybe it's the heat bringing out the bank robbers?! Think we were on the same track with getting a haircut, except that I didn't-bummer. I too want layers. Hope you got a new do and are having fun at the fair.

Angie~glad to hear Tanner is fine and it is not a hernia.

TJ~I will check out your thread as soon as I am done here. I can always use some motivation. Oh, when I say I will be back to Chat I mean to post. I have yet to go to the Chat Room-meant to last night and of course I forgot.

Jo~sorry to hear about you and DH. Hope things get better for you two. I can relate to DH not being home a lot-#1 DH worked A LOT which was hard in the beginning especially when the kids were small-he missed so much, and #2 works A LOT most of the time. I think I got used to it in the first marriage that it doesn't bother me as much now. I always seem to find something to do, sure get a lot of reading done and sometimes I actually enjoy my alone time. Anyway, I hope things get better for you.

Marti~going to have to go check out what you are talking about. The only person who wears glasses in my family is my dad and here me and the kids wear glasses, except DD's is just for reading. My eyes aren't bad and I can see without glasses but really need them to read. I wish I could say I look adorable in any frames but it just isn't true-or it could just be me. As I said to Jana, i do think I am too critical of myself.

So what is everyone up to for the weekend?

Me, I am sticking around the house I think. I say I think because V doesn't have to work the weekend and I am not sure if he want's to do anything. I do know I am going to give myself a manicure and pedicure and do some much needed scrapbooking. DD's stuff is still sitting on the table. Take care ladies, see ya tomorrow sometime.

Hi there girls...

James called me to get some info on the computer so I thought that since I'm on I'd go see how you're all doing.

I was flipping through channels when I came upon the Discovery Channel and it was about Face Transplants.....curiosity got to me so I checked it out. I was in for a surprise......this poor little girl (she was 9) got her (I think her hair...I turned it on after it already started) into a converyor belt and it just ripped her whole face off! I mean the whole FACE!! They even showed the picture of her poor face sitting on the table before surgery!! OMG...I wanted to turn the channel. But I didn't...wanted to know if they got it back on for her. They did! I was amazed. Her face had ripped off like a mask. But...that is all I watched...couldn't sit through a whole show like that. Too sad....and get's to me.

Cristi--The scrapbooking thing I just posted....actually didn't take long at all. I believe cutting all the leaves for Jhanai's page took longer!! It was fun and I will definately post a photo when I figure out how I want to incorporate into a page. As for glasses...I'm thinking I better go see how my eyes are doing....it really does get to me when I'm reading when all of a sudden things start to look blurry....(I always blame it on reading to long!!!) James tells me I look cute in glasses....hmmmm....should I put on a school girl outfit too when I have to get them??

My weekend will consist of reading and scrapbooking. I have only gotten into a few chapters in the Sue Grafton book "D is for Deadbeat".....really want to see what happens next!!

For all the scrapbookers...I sure wish we could all get together and do a day of scrapbooking and chatting!! That would be fun. Get some idea's from each other. New techniques.......

Oh...I'm starting to ramble. I better get ready to watch my show. The Jury. It's the season finale (already!) So I will check in later tonight or in the morning!

Take Care!!
