Good Monday Morning

Hi ladies. I haven't checked in since Friday sometime.
First of all, Penny when you start a new thread, it's prettier, colorful and more eye catching, I should have put forth more effort.

Before I forget, the other questions I missed...
I dislike 2 things about myself: one is obvious, my weight problem. The other is that I'm not always true to myself trying to make everyone else happy. Mostly my dh, I do or don't do what I know he likes or doesn't like. That could go deeper.
I like the fact that I'm a cheerful person, aside from this pregnancy, and I have very strong faith, in God of course.

Today's QOFD:
What is your favorite season and holiday and why?

My answer to that: I love Fall and Thanksgiving. I love that no presents are a part of this holiday. It is just for family and friends and thankfulness. It's the only true holiday to me. I love to bake and cook and entertain.

Okay, I read through all the posts but not sure what I can remember.

Penny, Friday I was busy cleaning mom's house, running errands, etc. My mom's kitchen didn't get started last week, it was moved to today, so I'm gonna be busy today. That dog is so cute.

Spryng, I hope you have so much fun. Be careful and hope to hear from you soon.

Michelle, so glad you are okay. I understand about reading the posts, just not posting, I'm guilty of that too sometimes.

Jaymi, I'm glad you went to the pool. Sounds like your dh needs to learn a few things. If you don't mind me asking, how old is he? I've learned that their age has alot to do with how they act and their priorities and such. My dh is guilty of the same thing at times. Hope you have a good day today.

Cindi, sorry about that rash. Is it from the Splenda? How is Christian, nothing serious is it?

Geri, how is Avon going? Something got into my garden, through the pen and shredded my cantaloupe. I don't think it was a rabbit, because the leaves and stems and everything were strewn out of the pen and the cantaloupe wasn't eaten, there were a few bites and that's it. It was the strangest thing. I have a few left and my zucchini is trying to make a comeback.

Hi to Cheri, Kristin, Ricci, Ginny, Melinda, Leigh and whoever else I missed. I am so sorry. I've got to get ready for the day, I've got to have 3 kids up, dressed, beds made and ready to leave before 8:30. It's 7 now, that should be plenty of time, but we'll see.

I'll check in later when I get back. Hope everyone has a great day.

melmcc99 07-26-2004 09:03 AM

Morning All!

Crystal, sounds like you are going to be busy! Hope you get all that cleaning done. Do you do it with all the kids with you? If so, that's tough. It's tough home, let alone at someone elses house.

As for me I am getting myself OP today. I Plan to do a walk of the pounds video, since I can't do the treadmill with the Bugga Bug awake. I have my 9 year old sister here for a few days, so it's a little more hectic. I hope I have the patients. TOM due and Bug's was up half the night.

QOTD.... I love Spring and Easter. It is a new beginning !
Yesterdays QOTD....I hate the way I look...especially in the shore pictures from last week of me in a bathing suit....man, do I really look like that? I love that I am a giving person. I always offer help when I can.

gtg, bugs is screamin' again!

Angel Marie 07-26-2004 09:12 AM

Morning ladies

Penny_I absolutly love your new puppy.Thats the kind I want. How big does that one get?I'm sure it's not much bigger.I want one I can carry around like a baby, since I can't have anymore.lol  The puppy is to cute. What's it's name?

QOTD
My Favorite holiday is Christmas.Because I love to watch my kids eyes light up christmas morning and we also bake a cake and sing Happy Birthday to baby jesus on Christmas Eve.I think that helps to show the kids what christmas is really about.

Well as far as my dieting.I'm not on one :p yeaaaah.I feel much better not worrying about it.But I'm still paying attention to what I eat and i'm going to make sure I exercise at least 3 times a week. When the kids start school,me and dh are thinking about joining the Y so we can swim laps.
Anyhow, today i'm just going to clean house and play with the kids.I still have'nt gone school shopping :?: not looking forward to it.
Ya'll have a good day i'll check back in later. :D

MichelleRae 07-26-2004 09:18 AM

Good Morning Ladies :)

Spryng I hope you have a wonderful wonderful time with DH this week!! You deserve it!! I'm getting a maltese puppy, we went to the breeders house yesterday and got to meet the mommy and daddy dog and then we also got to see some of her Chins which were adorable as well shes got 3 dogs that will give birth in August so our new puppy will come from one of those litters!! I'm so excited!! I told hubby I wouldn't mind getting a Chin instead of the Maltese (they were 200 bucks cheaper) but he liked the Maltese because they were so playful. Teagan just loved all the little dogs and Taylor was so gentle with them so I think it will be great once we get to bring our pup home!!

Ok for the QOTD for today: My favorite season/holiday is Christmas, not because of materialistic things like gifts but I just love the smells the beautiful trees, the christmas snow, seeing my kids and hubby opening gifts and making the supper.

Geri, I have a bike ride planned for today, and then I'm planning on taking the girls up to the playground at the school Taylor will just love that I bet!

Penny Rubie is just adorable!! I'm so happy for you!! You now have another baby!!!! I can't wait for my pup to come home, and as soon as they are born I'm going to go pick out the one I want!! Both parents weigh about 6 lbs so their pups wont get much bigger than that.

Ricci so glad your WW stuff came! TOM finally came for me too and man is he trying to wreak havoc on my eating!! I've beat him up and thrown him in the basement (I wish) LOL.

Crystal I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Ok I was going to post more but Teagan is screaming at me so I need to get going. I'll be back later. Hi to everyone I missed!!
Love
Michelle

melmcc99 07-26-2004 10:08 AM

Well, I did it!!! Yahoooooooo. Walk of the pounds 2 miles. My sister and DD did it with me. Even little Bugs did some.

DianeJ 07-26-2004 11:58 AM

Good Morning Ladie!

QOTD: I too love Christmas time and Thanksgiving, equally. Christmas because of the lights and decorations and Thanksgiving because of the giant family meal with out presents!

The boys are downstairs destroying their play room. I've packaged up a ton of clothes from me, (business clothes from when I worked) and a bunch of stuff from Logan and Ethan that doesn't fit anymore and some of their toys, books and a bouncy chair. I'll be driving them to the next town over, there is a Women's shelter there, where women suffering from domestic violence have a safe haven. I thought it would be a good place to give my stuff, where it could be put to the best use. I'll take it either today or tomorrow, it's at least a 1/2 an hour drive away.

I'm just doing OK with my plan this weekend. I had a case of the snackies last night and ate some cereal and oatmeal cookies, so I'm not thrilled that I caved in like that but today is the start of a new week so I should let it go.

Steve will be out of town this week, in Dallas I believe. The trip should give him some information in regards to a promotion he would like to get, one that would eventually move us to Idaho. I hope he gets good new in regards to it, as I've already been looking into real estate! LOL

So in regards to appetite suppressants, does anyone take anything over the counter that they find particularly helpful? I'm hoping to kind of give myself a jump start.

Oh yeah, here's my Bio info:

DianeJ - mommy to twin boys, Logan and Ethan (2 years old!), married to a wonderful man for 9 years and counting. I'm doing the W.W's thing with a Southbeach twist!

OK, gotta see what all the ruckus is downstairs and try and get something healthy into my body before I crave some junk food.

Bye for now,
Di

CheriBrorsen 07-26-2004 12:13 PM

G' Morning

I just wanted to pop in and say that I've done pilates for the day. When hubby goes to days in a week and a half. I'm going to do pilates in the a.m. and go for walks in the evenings. I had my first weigh in today. -6.5 lbs loss for the week. Granted that's not going to be my regular loss per week...but hey I'll take it. Ok...gotta get lunch started for the boys. I'll be personal with everyone in a bit. :)

sydsmom 07-26-2004 12:19 PM

Good Morning Ladies! Sorry no posting from me this weekend, I am terrible at weekends, just always going somewhere, and any home time is spent w/ Hubby getting stuff done or playing outside! IT was a nice weekend though. I maintained at my WI last week, but this week, I think I might actually have a loss! I have been eatting really well, and also I got to exercise 4 times last week! :) WHOO-HHOO!

So all the QOTD's: here I go!

One thing that I don't like about myself, is that I get really weak around things that I want to buy, even if I don't have the money...twice I have bounced a check to get something that I want. I have been really forcing myself to rethink that, money don't grow on trees after all! Two things that I like about myself is that I am a good mom, and love to give the gift of time...one of the best things (even though it sounds kinda wierd) is that I like to spend the last moments with someone close to me befor they die. I think it is healing for me too. I was there for my aunts death (she was 38, died of cancer), and all 4 of my grandparents, a good friend of mine that was in a car accident, and another dear friend that I had met in the nursing home where my grandmother was, who had no family to be there with her when she died. Sorry if now you think I am wierd now! lol! I just feel like it was so important to make it okaqy for those people to make the next transition and know that someone was there with them the whole time, especially my aunt, she was more like a sister..oh yeh, did I mention all those poeple passed away within the last 3 years..and I wonder why I have a weight problem, too much stress! :yikes: Anyway, sorry to get so long winded! On to the next question for today. My favorite holiday has to be Christmas, but the early morning part before the presents, when we lay around, drink hot chocolate, and get ready to go to families houses.

Well after that thesis, I would say that I need to get something done around here, and get personal with ya'll later! ;) SO have a good monday, and I will talk to you all later! :sunny:

need2losemore 07-26-2004 02:16 PM

Good afternoon. Well, I just spent a butt load of money. I bought a car from my brother for $1700. It could have been more I guess, but now we are a two car family. We've had one car for eight years, but with Eric and I starting school, we needed another one. Oh well, at least we had the money for it.
QOTD. I like all the holidays. My dh always goes overboard on Christmas, but its the only holiday his family ever got into. I really enjoy the Fall and winter with the smells of baking and all that stuff.
This afternoon I am going for a LONG bike ride when dh gets home. Its so nice here right now. Only in the 70's. I had to clean my bathrooms this morning. I hate doing that. Gotta go, boys are fighting.

Angel Marie 07-26-2004 02:20 PM

Hey ladies,Well i've walked for and hour and mowed the lawn and i'm in the process of fixing the kids bike .I feel like I run a bike shop sometimes.lol  I'm stuck with one of the bikes right now though.Because i'm tring to get a chian off the old bike to fix the other bike with, but I think i'm going to have to just go buy a chain because their is no way to get it off.Anyhow i've eaten really well today and have had lots of water.I'm tring to get rid of the apple pie with ice cream that I had last night. It was soooooooo good.I don't feel to guilty about it.Anyhow i've had a piece of rasien bread and coffee for breakfast and lots of water and a tuna wrap for lunch and i'm having something light for dinner.I'm to hot to eat big.Well let me get off here and figure out what i'm going to do about the bikes.ttyl :)

Jaymi_Dol_78 07-26-2004 02:46 PM

Hey everyone! No exercise yet for today, my daughter was awoken :) from the dog. So... a little crabby today. BUT..... my mission is to not let the little things get me down.. Chances are... I might not exercise later because the later it gets.. the lazier I get... but life isnt perfect. So... instead of being miserable and whining, I will keep on pushing on. I think the news is getting my attitude is worse. All they talk about is war, and murder... etc. No wonder! I'm seriously thinking about taking the kids to the park. I won't get much exercise, because I'll have to watch the baby, and she doesnt like heat that much.. But the pool and the beach are too hard. I don't have the energy. I still need to go to the library and take back those videos. I'm cooking chilli dogs today... so I don't have to worry about a big meal to cook for later. I ended up eating Wendy's today.. but I ate some nuggets.. I think only 180 calories for 5 pieces... and I didnt get any breakfast. I spend 2 hours waiting for the dealership to change out my cd player. So I just need to get out there and burn some fat. Sweat a little. Well anyways, I need to get up and do something. It's getting pretty late. I'll check in later! Jaymi

BTW- Crystal, DH just turned 24... and I will be turning 26 in November. He is immature in a lot of ways I never noticed before.. because we werent married then. But I married him because he was more mature in other ways... that now doesnt seem to matter as much as before!! weird.

OH anybody can tell me how to put pictures in my signature?!?!?!? gotta go!

sydsmom 07-26-2004 07:32 PM

well ladies! Slow day here, must mean fast day at home! :D Hope everyone had a great day..I am off to work....maybe tonight I can get some time to get back here and get personal....just couldn't hack it today, along with exercise which sucks! I just am really tired today, I need to get more sleep at night, I know that is my problem. well, off to work, I'll check back in with you all later! :)
hugs always :grouphug:

Hi my name is Jill and I am the proud mommy of a 10-month old baby girl, Bayley. Since I have had her I have been having a hard time getting rid of the baby weight. In the past I have been successful at losing weight but I am finding it harder to control my cravings. For example I am eating a brownie while I am writing this Anyway I found this site and thought it might be helpful to have a support group to help me out. I'm not real sure how to work all this posting and graphic stuff so bear with me till I figure it out. My goal in the next year is to be a size 8 and to lose about 15-20 pounds. Currently I am 5'4", 157. Any helpful hints would be great. I haven't read all your posts but sure I will get through them all in the next few days. I look forward to talking with you all. Have a great day!

Jill

melmcc99 07-26-2004 10:48 PM

Jill, Welcome. I am Melissa SAHM of 2, a 4 year old girl and an almost 2 year old boy.
It is very hard to stay away from lose cravings. I know all too well. If you are nursing your son, it's worse, but I don't know if you are or not. Anyway, stick with this group, they are a WONDERFUL bunch of women. They give so much encouragement and have many ideas that will help you. see the begining of this thread and view some of the profiles. Check back everyday or a few times a day. ENjoy !

mompen 07-27-2004 12:22 AM

Hi Ladies

It has been a long stressful day today. I am hoping tomorrow will be better. I am planning a day with the boys tomorrow. No house work or anything else but quality time. I never realize how many hours of day we spend together but it is just not completely involved time. Not sure what we are going to do but I will figure it out in the morning.

Michelle,
What is that other dog? I am not to good on doggie lingo. Hope your puppy is a dream when you get her. Have you had a maltese before? If not, are you going to get the little book that tells you about them? I know it was helpful the last time I bought our Yorkie, Macho. Did you weigh over the weekend? Did I miss it? Did you have fun at the playground?

Melissa,
I am so proud of you for being on plan today! That is just wonderful. Even with the added stress of having extra company, you did it! :cheer: YAH!

Hi Jill  It is wonderful to have you here! I hope you feel right at home! :)

Jaymi,
Did you get to make an outing this afternoon? I hope you and the kids had a great time!

Kristen,
You work? I never knew that.. Details Details..... lol :)

Angel,
It sounds like you had a great day eating wise! Congrats to you! I know how you feel about fixing the bikes. I feel like I am the mom and dad sometimes doing all the manly duties around the house..... LOL Hope it wasn't to bad.

Ricci,
Congrats on the car! That is just wonderful! :) YAH FOR YOU! Hope you enjoy it!

Kristen,
I think you are a wonderful person for being there for all those people that meant and mean so much to you!

Cheri,
CONGRATS :cheer: :cheer: on the weight! That is just plum awesome! Woo HOO! I know you are really inspired now! Congrats Congrats! :)

Di,
Don't look back girl! You are doing awesome! And you are doing a wonderful thing by bringing the clothes. We don't have a shelter here but we do have a Restoration Center. I bring my things there. It is women who are pregnant who have no where to go.

Crystal,
Sorry about your garden! Don't you hate that! Do you think it could have been a squirrel or raccoon? Not even sure you have racoons there..... Hopefully some of your veggies make it! That is so horrible! Is your next dr. appt tomorrow? Let us know!

sydsmom 07-27-2004 12:52 AM

hey gals - another late night for me. Got the neighbor kids coming over the next 4 days so trying to spruce things up before they come, they are great kid and it gived sydney something to do to!

Jill - Welcome, it takes a while, but you will get it all figured out!

Michelle - where are ya tonight girl? Can't wait to see the puppy! :)

Crystal - sorry about your garden, rightnow we wouldn't even have a chance at one, we have moles and ground squirrels we are in the middle of getting rid of...ugh, the people that owned this house before us, didn't do any outside maintenance, so we are getting it all done, slowly but surely! Please let us know how you and the baby are doing! :) I can't wait to be pregnant again! :D

Cheri - CONGRATS :cheer: :cb: on the #'s down, that is huge !!!!!!!

Di - That is also what I do with old clothes, it really makes a difference, when we went about a month ago -they let us pass them out, I got to the car and just cried, it was so moving. They really do appreciate it. (((((hugs)))) to you for the good deed! ;)

Ricci - glad that you finally got a car! That will be so nice for you, to have that freedom, I guess that I take mine for granted, but it really is a luxury! :)

Mel - YEAH! OP RULES! way to go. Wish I could say the same, if I could just get some more energy to start the cycle up again of making healthy choices I would be there too! Maybe if I was sleeping instead of posting??!?!?!

Jaymi - Hope you have a great day tomorrow, I know how you feel about getting in the exercise!

LEigh - where are ya today? Loved the pics of you and Liam. Toooo cute! I love wine!

Angel - I just can't wait for those types of fixes on kid stuff...NOT! haha - my daughter is too little to ride hers that much yet! It has to be frusterating! Heres to a new tomorrow!

Penny - thanks for the kind words about being there for others... ((((hug))))...I work at night, a few days a week for MY OWN money! haha! I get to do whatever I want with it..like my husband put it, "spend it on clothes, stuff for the house, ****, buy $400 worth of bubble gum for all I care! " that is a direct quote (its a running joke around here now!) :lol3: I work with one other person and we clean 3 banks and their mortgage center...its nice to get out and get some pysical activity, although its cleaning which I hate, I don't have to do anything gross like clean toliets, we just vacuum, dust, do the trash, etc. Its a great workout, I use it as a suppliment if I don't get a full blown one in that day....you move alot and its a way to get out of the house! Rubie is absolutely adorable, I fear if we ever got a dog that small sydney would rip it to shreds! :yikes: Koby (the one in my msn thing) is the smallet dog we hae ever had, and he will be up to 25 lbs. !

Leigh, Cindi, Geri, Ginny, and anyone else that I forgot, I love ya, and where were ya today!?!?! :D
Goodnight, I am going to do one more load of laundry and finish picking up this basement, and then its night-night for me...hopefully I can fall asleep :faint:..... TTYL!

Bayleysmom 07-27-2004 12:56 AM

Thanks

Thanks Melissa and Mompen for making me feel welcome. To answer your question Melissa yes I am still breastfeeding and hope to continue until close to her first birthday in September. I have heard that you won't lose the rest of the baby weight until you stop breastfeeding but am not sure if that is true or not. I guess I will find out.
I have had a gym membership for a long time but it sure takes a lot more effort to get there with a baby then it used to when I didn't have any kids! I hope to start back tomorrow and will also be grocery shopping so that I can have things in the house to eat and won't be tempted by fast food. I think fast food is my downfall. Sometimes it's just so hard to cook a meal after a long day of school, baby and sometimes work. I wish there were more healthy choices at fast food restaurants. I know they are getting better but there are always hidden fats and calories that you don't think of for example, salads.
Anyway thanks everyone for being here on this site for inspiration. I hope to weigh in every Tuesday and hope I can soon have a cute little chickie telling everyone how much weight I have lost. Talk to you soon!

mompen 07-27-2004 01:03 AM

Kristin,
I know what you mean about ripping the dog to shreds. I am worried about her but I was thinking we can always get a bigger dog for the kids to have but then I would have another one to worry about......grrrrrr.....

I am just worried about Rubie getting stepped on. She is a little scared right now of all the noise...... Hopefully she will feel right at home soon. She went to the groomer yesterday and the vet today for shots.... gessshhh that would be enuf to make me nervous.

That is cool to clean the banks and stuff. I cleaned apartments twice but it wasn't for me... I did try in home childcare for a year. Half of the time I was preggo with Andrew and then he came along and I watched kids for another 6 months which was at xmas time. I just couldn't do it anymore with my 3 plus the others from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm....

Whewwww...... I did Avon for a while and I might go back for extra money.... We will see though.

Anyhow, enough about me...... LOL I think cleaning is a wonderful exercise!!!! It is great to get out the house plus interact with other humans....lol Does your hubby watch Sydney for you? You hear me saying "for you". LOL I always say that by accident.... I always feel like my hubby is "babysitting for me"

Ok off to bed for me!

Oh the QOTD,
I love Easter. It is a wonderful time of year to celebrate Christ and it is not as cruded w/ gifts as Christmas. I just love Midnight Mass at church. :)

mompen 07-27-2004 01:07 AM

Bayleysmom,
You snuck in on me..... LOL

I also nursed. I just stopped when Andrew was over 10 months old. I didn't lose too much while nursing but did great afterwards. I did have some hormones changes but I think overall I wasn't as hungry. I say do the best you can while nursing.... :)

All though we are not allowed to give medical advice, just make sure you keep your meals balanced for the baby. :) I know you already know that though!

Have a great night! Hope to see you here tomorrow!

sydsmom 07-27-2004 01:09 AM

Penny - you are too funny - yes i always say "will you watch her"..I know what you mean...Rubie will be fine, judt gove her a little time! :)

Jill - I lost all my weight and went back down to my original size, and then after I STOPPED nursing, gained it all back! :yikes: My doc said it was because your metabloism is hgiher when you are nursing.....hope that it doesn't go that way for you, but you found the right place to be whatever happens !!!! This place is bout becoming, staying, and lifelong health, weight is a huge part, however, its not all! :) I think you will find that these gals are sooo supportive of whatever it is you are trying to acheive! :grouphug:

Have a good night, okay, really, I am going to get going ot bed now! SHEESH!!!!

Bayleysmom 07-27-2004 01:09 AM

Also wanted to add a thank you to Kristin for welcoming me. We posted at the same time and didn't want to leave her out. Also QOTD I like Christmas. I will be honest, as a child it was about the presents but I just love that almost everyone gets a day off and we can spend the day with our loved ones. It just seems like a magical time and I appreciate the closeness a whole lot more now that I have my daughter. Ok enough for me! Talk to everyone soon!

MichelleRae 07-27-2004 01:24 AM

Hey guys its late so this will be a quickie.

Hey Jill welcome  You can check out my bio in the beginning of this thread :)

Penny the other dog that we saw was a Japanese Chin oh so cute!! And very very calm dogs but hubby wanted teh more playful maltese. The breeder will give us a book about maltese when we get her! I can't wait!! How is little rubie doing? Do the boys absolutely love her? I didn't weigh, this month was a total wash for me boncing between 220 and 217 ugghhhh!!

Melissa good for you staying on plan!!! :bravo:

Kristin I like earning a little money too, I would love to just go splurge on myself but you know how it is having kids you always put them before yourself lol I always end up spending a ton of money on my girls.

Well guys I have a pretty nasty migraine tonight and my imitrex doesnt seem to be working, we'll see if I get any sleep I have my docs appt with weigh in tomorrow, I
am going to see if they'll give me phentermine for 2 months and then switch me back to the meridia, oh I dunno I would rather take the pills than to start B&P again :( Which sadly has been creeping in my head again, but I'm trying to do this the healthy way :D So I'm gonna talk to the doc about that tomorrow. I'll fill you all in when I get back. I'm off to bed!
Love to all
Michelle

Yes, please let me know about the doctor tomorrow!

I thought you didn't want to go on the phetermine?

Ok off to bed!!! It is 20 til 1 so I need to get some rest!

Talk to you tomorrow!

Oh I have another pic of Rubie to post.... See how much the kids are leaving her alone....lol

MichelleRae 07-27-2004 01:41 AM

B&P binge and p**ge swear words for me.....

I didn't want the phent. when my bloodpressure was elevated but I've been at a consistant 110/60 so I'm fine with it :) I'm just going to ask what the doc thinks about it. Ok my head is killing me now so I'm off to sleep.

Michelle

QOTD below

undefinedMichelle, stick with what works for you. My modo, don't mess with a good thing! I took phentermine once for about 2 months also, but it made me aggitated easily. It did help, but I didn't like how it made me feel. See what the doc says. You'll be in my thoughts. Taking meds is such a tough decision and it causes stress.

undefinedPenny, greating chatting with you last night. Rubie will be ok, she'll get tough, like the boys!

undefinedCindi, it was nice talking to you last night. I hope all is well with you today. Good luck getting the kids ready for school!

Jundefinedill, hope you are enjoying this thread so far.

undefinedKristin, I was sooo hungry when I was nursing, so I lost a little when I was done. But nothing huge.

Anyway, Good morning ladies! Hope you all are having a good day. Oh yeh, I'm down a half a pound this morning ....YES!

OK, I guess I am the first to post SOOOO Here is the QOTD:

:flow1: What is one thing you wish you could do over again...good or bad(something you would do different)? :flow1:

melmcc99 07-27-2004 07:53 AM

Whoops, something happened there with my colors~!

watkinsguru 07-27-2004 09:06 AM

good morning all. I didn't ever check back in yesterday. We were go go go all day it seems. I'm suppose to babysit this morning for a couple of hours and then I have my doc appt. this afternoon.
Sounds like everyone had a good day yesterday.

Welcome Jill, I'm Crystal. My bio is all at the top. I'm the pregnant one, with #4. So glad you found us and you will get all the support you could ever need here. Can't wait to learn more about you.

QOFD: I wouldn't have gotten married so young. I hate saying that because I don't mean that I wouldn't want my kids or yadda yadda yadda, but I would've waited. I married at 18, 4 months after I graduated. I wish I would have lived alittle independently. I feel like I'm too dependent for that matter. That's my answer.
I'll check in later. I started trying to crochet again and I'm still learning, it's tough for me for some reason.

QOTD?

I think it is that I would not have quit college. I quit when I was 5 months pregnant with Hunter and that was 5 years ago. I am still trying to go back. Now I look back.... I could be finished right now.....ggggrrrrrr.....

Oh well, Everything happens for a reason! And I am sure it is a good one... Just haven't figured it out yet......lol

Crystal,
Let us know how the doctor visit turns out!

Melissa,
It was great talking to you last night! Sorry I had to go so soon! :) Have a great on plan day! Thanks for the qotd!

Hope you all have a great day! I might run the kiddos to the park at the beginning of our adventure day. Or we might go to the library first.... Only time will tell :) Have a great day! Ooops I already said that!

OH BTW, Where is Leigh? Good morning girl! :coffee:

BIGtimeLOSER 07-27-2004 09:35 AM

Morning chicks!!

Sorry I missed posting yesterday, Christian kept me up the night before WAAAYY late/early, so I forgot that I never posted :D Hope had her check up and my eye infection seems to be back again, so I didn't do much!

Mel...it was great chatting with you! Why don't you other ladies get Yahoo Messenger and we can make a chat of it sometime? To me that's so much easier than going to the chats on the group pages. I never can get it to work right!

Hey Jill! Welcome to the funny farm!! You will love this bunch.

Okay, I must dry my hair, then I will be back to answer the QOTD and get more posting done!

Love to you all

Morning Morning

Hi everyone :) I missed you all during my brief absence! Savannah was, as always, wonderful, but I was completely off plan Sunday and yesterday. I had no flexpoints left for it, and Savannah has incredible food, but not low fat at all  Everything is okay here except Duncan (our doggie) has a scratched cornea and needs drops plus antibiotics. Poor little guy :(

Geri- I went to high school in Coral Springs (Taravella High)! My mother now lives in Boca Raton, my sister lives in Coconut Creek.

Melissa- the white wine was better thaty night :D You're doing great with the exercise :cheer:

Penny! Congrats on the arrival of Rubie! What a cute name. What an adorable little pup! Have fun at the park or library.

Jaymi - it sounds like you're doing an awesome job with the exercise :) Those pictures are adorable - and you're beautiful!

Angel- it sounds like you're doing what works best for you!

Michelle- I'm really excited about your new puppy too - I can't wait to eventually see pictures :)

Di- Well, as you can see, I went even more off plan than you, so today we'll both start fresh, okay? :)

Cheri - :bravo: on the loss!!! WTG!

Kristin- you're doing so well - it's awesome :D

Ricci- do you like the new car? What kind of car is it?

Hi Jill! It's nice to meet you :) I'm in the process of losing pregnancy weight too. The women here are wonderfully supportive so I thhink you'll enjoy joining us. Fast food is also my downfall. I absolutely love McDondalds!

Crystal- can't wait to hear the update from your doc. Are you working on your mom's place at all today? Just curious :)

Cindi- are you going to go back to the doc for you eye? Sorry it's not completely gone!

I hope Spryng is having lots of fun!!

QOTD: This is hard because I rarely have regrets - I tend to just make a decision about something and move forward. I'm going to think about this more and answer later.

I just got my Sweating in the SPirit video so I'm going to watch it now to see what it's like. TTYL!

mompen 07-27-2004 09:42 AM

CINDI........

HUGS TO YOU!!! I'm sorry I missed that you didn't post yesterday!

You are in my thoughts!

need2losemore 07-27-2004 10:14 AM

Good morning everyone.
Welcome, Jill. Hope to see you posting often, and getting to know you better.
Michelle, I hope you enjoy your dog. My grandma has two maltese dogs. They aren't very socialbe though. We call them her two dust mops. I think it just depends on how you raise them, around kids or not. I hope your headache is gone too.
Crystal, I hope you have a great day. Are you going to find out what your having? If you already answered that, sorry. I wasn't paying attention that day.
Cindi, I hope things get back to normal for you. I know how you feel about the kids keeping you up late. grrrrr.....
Leigh, don't worry about being off plan too much. Your doing so good.
Di, Kristin,Geri,Jaymi,Penny, and everyone else, Hi and hope you all have a good day.
Someone mentioned yahoo. I have it, my yahoo user is ricci_alcorn. The car I got is a 1994 Buick skylark. My brother took pretty good care of it, and he and his wife and 3 cars with that. I have been driving it since April, when I was taking my siblings back and forth to school. It's a smaller car, and my boys legs already touch the back of the front seats since they are so tall. Today is my second day on ww, stayed within my points yesterday, and doing well today. No flexpoints used. I am going to go exercise here shortly.
QOTD: I don't know that I would do anything different. If you think about it, if you had done just one tiny thing different, you may not be where you are now. I thought about saying staying in college, but then I wouldn't have got married when I did and had my boys. So nothing different here. Ok, I think this is the longest post I have ever done, so I am off. Might take my boys to the library later.

melmcc99 07-27-2004 10:26 AM

THis question of the day could be something that you liked too, that you would want to do it again. My answer, I would love to go on my Honeymoon again. It was in Hawaii and I was so relaxed.

need2losemore 07-27-2004 10:31 AM

Ok, I change my answer to the question. I wish I would have had a honeymoon.

Hey everyone.. Here is a great article that I thought you all might like:

http://www.lifetimetv.com/reallife/d...ng_weight.html

Anyways, today is starting off good. I got in my exercises as follows:

60 minutes Denise Austin & Lower body
5 minutes ABS

Last night I got in all of my exercises too!!

60 minutes Denise Austin (upper body)
40 minutes : DA Shrink your Female Fat Zones
20- weights
20- stability ball

Later on I Plan on doing some Step Aerobics or WATP. Water is ok.. Could be better. I only drank 16 oz so far. My breakfast was:
one slice of French toast,
one service low fat sausage,
½ c egg
1/8 cup lite syrup

Total calories: 395 (not bad for me!)

Anyways I got a lot to do today. I have about 4 stores to go to.. Which is funny since we have NO MONEY!! I have already planned dinner tonight. Here is the recipe, can’t remember if I gave it already…

Shortcut Beef Stew
from: Campbell's Kitchen
Prep/Cook Time: 25 min.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into 1" cubes*
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's® Tomato Soup
1 can Campbell's® Beefy Mushroom Soup
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 bag (24 oz.) frozen vegetables for stew (potatoes, carrots, celery)*

* I use stew meat instead.. Too poor to buy that other stuff
* I use canned potatoes and carrots so it can really be a shortcut!

Directions:
HEAT oil in saucepot. Add beef and cook until browned and juices evaporate, stirring often.

ADD soups, Worcestershire and vegetables. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 10 min. or until vegetables are tender. Serves 4.

Anyways…. I have to get going.. It looks like it’s gonna rain today! I’ll try to check back in later! I WAS gonna leave comments but my computer has froze up on me 4 times already… and I really need to go. I will come back later and leave comments only! I thin that may be my new way of doing this…. Anyway one day I will figure it out! Check you chicks later!
