Amanda :bravo: Carri :cp: Faye :flow2: It looks like a lot of us has consistency problems. I have two things that royally mess me up, traveling and hormones. If I can get a handle on the hormonal urges that seem to be sabotaging me I will be in lot better shape. This stuff only started about 6 months ago and it sure does cause me problems. Carri: Glad you are cool again now that there has been a break in the hot weather! :lol: It is only 80 here today and was cool to do the pool today. Heather: I know you can do these things girly I just know it! Amanda: You are on your way now that you got the skittishness behind you. I am very proud of you for taking it on when you didn't want to. Susan: Inches ARE important and I would be lost without inches coming down and my body showing results even without lbs results. I got in my exercises as follows: 60 minutes Denise Austin & Lower body 5 minutes ABS Last night I got in all of my exercises too!! 60 minutes Denise Austin (upper body) 40 minutes : DA Shrink your Female Fat Zones 20- weights 20- stability ball Later on I Plan on doing some Step Aerobics or WATP. Water is ok.. Could be better. I only drank 16 oz so far. My breakfast was: one slice of French toast, one service low fat sausage, ½ c egg 1/8 cup lite syrup Total calories: 395 (not bad for me!) Anyways I got a lot to do today. I have about 4 stores to go to.. Which is funny since we have NO MONEY!! :lol: I have already planned dinner tonight. Here is the recipe, can’t remember if I gave it already… Shortcut Beef Stew from: Campbell's Kitchen Prep/Cook Time: 25 min. Ingredients: 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into 1" cubes* 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's® Tomato Soup 1 can Campbell's® Beefy Mushroom Soup 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 bag (24 oz.) frozen vegetables for stew (potatoes, carrots, celery)* * I use stew meat instead.. Too poor to buy that other stuff * I use canned potatoes and carrots so it can really be a shortcut! Directions: HEAT oil in saucepot. Add beef and cook until browned and juices evaporate, stirring often. ADD soups, Worcestershire and vegetables. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 10 min. or until vegetables are tender. Serves 4. Anyways…. I have to get going.. It looks like it’s gonna rain today! I’ll try to check back in later! I WAS gonna leave comments but my computer has froze up on me 4 times already… and I really need to go. I will come back later and leave comments only! I thin that may be my new way of doing this…. 4 points yesterday!!! I made it to the gym for the 1st time in forever. I'm starting out slow though. I have class mon-thur so I'm going after class for a 20 min work out. we'll just have to see what the weekend brings. Susan: We HAVE to reprogram our mind to accept slips and not give up the whole day because a whole day leads to two days to two weeks and pretty soon we have given up entirely. I am looking up infor for our trip to Vegas again next year. We were originally planning the week of Labor Day but if we go the week before I can save $200 on the hotel room. We are going to go for 10 days this time so we are excited though it is still a year away. We have to plan ahead so we can afford it! We want to rent a car this time and I found we can rent a Sebring convertible at the Budget rentacar that is across the street from the hotel for less than $300 for the whole 9 days. everybody have a great afternoon Faye :lol: |

I got 4 points yesterday - had a really good day and felt really ontop of things. :) However today has been the COMPLETE OPPOSITE! :( The PMS wobbles have really hit hard and i only had 4 hours sleep - so I'm sorry to say I have used that as an excuse to eat really badly and do no exercise all day. BUT - in the spirit of CONSISTENCY I am not going to allow this one bad day lead into another bad day - it stops here! I am not going to allow my PMS to be used as an excuse to undo all my good work! Well done for hitting the gym Susan - that is great and you are right to build up slowly. Your vacation plans sound exciting Faye! WEDNESDAY: Today is Wednesday's woes. What is troubling you today?
Amanda: I stuck your point smiley with the others above your last post so I didn't forget you! My woe is dh is ill and I am scared to death it might be West Nile Fever. Hopefully it is just a freak fever and chills etc but he is around a lot of mosquitos where he works and with his heart I get freaked if he gets a runny nose. Maybe he will be a-ok this morning. I will check in a little later when all you sleepy heads are up! Faye :) |

I got a pair of shorts ( hate shorts) for tomorrows sports day hopefully i wont be to self conscious We had mcds :mcd:last night for dinner my hubby had over 2000 cals and 100 grams of fat in one meal wow…. 3 points yesterday......no exercise. Tuesdays are just very low energy for me. Recovery days. I had kind of a revelation yesterday about time and weight loss and being healthy. Part of it was from Faye's post about consistency and part of it came from another site.... but basically I realised that I'm not doing this for a wedding, or a reunion, or any special date....I'm just doing this for me. I'm trying to get healthy just so I'll feel better and be around longer. I'm never going to be able to go back to the way I used to eat, and I don't even want to (mac n' cheese just turns my stomach now!) SO why am I in such a hurry? It doesn't matter what happens day to day, as long as I'm eating better and exercising more as a whole. I know it sounds kind of obvious, but it has made me stop obsessing so much about the number on the scale. I'll get there when I get there and it really doesn't matter if it takes 2 years or 3 years or 5 or even 10....as long as I get better and better. I came up with a yummy recipe alteration the other day. I HATE low fat salad dressings because they all replace the fat with sugar, and I like my dressings to be tart. So, I started making my own dressing with vinegar and mustard as a base (instead of vinegar and oil) and adding my own spices or a packet of powdered dressing spices. The mustard binds everything together and makes it stick to the veggies like oil does, but it has almost no calories and no fat. (Check the ingredients! Some mustards have lots of sugar. I use Grey Poupon brown mustard) Well, gotta go get something done. I hope everyone has a great day. Julie |
Hello Everyone! Ok... I LIED! I never got back on the computer yesterday. By the time I got home I had to fix dinner, got a major migraine.. and soon as hubby came in, which was about 15 minutes later, I went in the bed and laid down. You'd think that would be relaxing.... and I guess it was! But I didn’t get to finish my exercises... Oh well, today we aren’t going ANYWHERE! So I should be able to do everything as planned...whatever that may be. I didn‘t get off to a great start
! :lol: I got up at 6, fixed my hubbies lunch, fixed me some....get this.. COFFEE, and it was already almost 7!!! That's what time I should have exercised… right!!!! WRONG! I didn’t exercise until about 10.. After I finished procrastinating the baby woke up. I need to stop doing that!!! Well TOM is right on schedule... but PMS is still here big time! Why can't it be late sometimes?!? Maybe even like a day! :lol: Darn Wednesdays.. ANYWAYS…..I MISS MY ADIPEX!!!! :cry: I found some generic ones online for way cheaper.. but scared to buy them.... does generic work the same?!? Hmmm. Anyways Oh hold on…. Had to stop the baby from eating the foam paper plate!! While she took the cookies I gave her and threw them down. Why do kids do that!! :lol: Well anyways I’ve eaten breakfast . finally.. now I’m starving!! :lol: I ate 1/2 c of egg substitute... wow.... and some low fat sausage, and 7 mini pancakes. I would eat earlier if I didn’t have to cook it…. I HATE cooking breakfast! Those egg substitutes take too long.. Or maybe I’m starving by the time I get through and I’m just too lazy… who knows. Well anyways I already did my DA exercise with weights… now I plan on doing the Ultimate Fat Burner DVD when the baby takes her nap… I’m not even excited at the least about it.. Because I SWEAR that workout is HARD!!!!! I’m not good at cardio moves for long periods of time… just short bursts… but that one kills ya! Because yuck…. Heather- Don’t worry about everyone else and wear those shorts girl!! No one else matters but you and your hubby!! Faye- I hope your hubby is feeling better!!!! Please let us know!!! He has a dr appt tomorrow and told them on the phone of his worry since he has had a flu shot, it is not flu season and he has not been around anyone sick. They will probably test him, but there isn't a whole lot they can do unless he shows signs of it becoming bad. There is no medication for this virus. Paid bills today and plumber comes tomorrow and replaces a cartridge in the faucet so that will cost me a $100 bucks at least. Jack couldn't get it out to do it himself. (I proofed this and realized how funny that sounded :o :^: ) They are old so probably rusted in there. (just keeps getting funnier. I am just BAD!) Since he will be home tomorrow I am going to get errands done and grocery shopping while he is home I think. I need to scoot as I want to clean house so the plumber doesn't think we are a bunch of pigs or something! :lol: Faye :) |

Been busy busy busy working full time this week as my super is taking the week off :( I've not much time to myself when I get in :( I'm a bit peeved too because I have'nt been paid for a month (we're paid bi-weekly) and when I asked my boss for my paycheck he looked on the computer and all my hours have been "lost" so I have to figure out how many hours they owe me :rollpin: makes me laugh when we clock on and off :mad: Amanda, :nono: A cougar did'nt get me :rofl: I have'nt had time to go on my bike this week :( its my day off today so maybe later if I have time after grocery shopping :yes: btw i'm glad that you are enjoying swimming :cp: Got to run will try to catch up later :wave: |

4 point day yesterday!!! Didn't get a chance to go to the gym right after class because I forgot my water bottle and a hair tie so I'm going to go later...I swear! I have other ewrrands to run as well My woe is a little superficial, but with all the positives of the last few pounds coming off..."yay I'm smaller" and "yay I feel better" is the notorious " :censor: my clothes don't fit and I can't get new ones!" not that I'm complaining too much mind you...its just not so nice when 1/2 your shirts turn into tents. I'm still ok in the pants region, most of the inches seem to be coming off the top. Oh another woe...this site is giving me trouble...I end up having to sign in like 5 different times just to be able to post and forget about trying to switch threads and posting! its nutty.
