DS and I are gym members and we know how to use all the equipment and everybody is nice. Even the tackless guy. We've been twice. We are experts.
Yesterday, we came out of a restaurant and there ... floating across the parking lot right-to-left was a ball of flesh. I couldn't figure out what horrible thing I was looking at. It was white and as big as a medicine ball. Then the pulled his shirt back down because he was using it to wipe the sweat from his face. I have never seen anything like it before. I don't know if you non-southerners have such fat people where you are or if they would pull up their shirts to make a headless blubber-creature float past you. The chicken bones are gone. I learned to suck them to destruction. |
OOOOOhhhhhh, Wabby, that's a great idea. The glass industry around here is huge because of all of the sand. I think I'll start a glass fruit collection. I have a lovely bowl to put it in...perfect.
Today I'm supposed to go to the shore with one of my close friends and her son(henceforth to be called AnnoyingBoy)...who is close friends with DS14. Yesterday, I took DS 14 to thebarber leaving DS12 home alone. AnnoyingBoy called within a few minutes of when we left and then went on to call three more times in a very short period. On the last call, DS12 picked up the phone, said.."stop calling" and hung up. DS14 talked to him since and everything seemed fine. DS12 is known to lack an internal censor....I supposed it was all over. But..... I called my friend at 10:00 this morning because we had plans to go to the shore, and I haven't heard from her. Do you think she is mad because of DS12???? I totally support DS12's attitude(all the while understanding that he can be a brat) because when Annoyingboy does this when I am home alone, it infuriates me. I just called and she is out and didn't call me to tell me she didn't want to go to the shore. Isn't that weird??????? I did outlet shopping this weekend. My hometown is said to be the "outlet capital of the world" but I never get to the outlets because I'm usually too busy to shop when I'm there. I got DD a Coach purse and wallet for $80.00 which is amazing.....it would have been $200.00+ at the mall Coach store. Even on sale, I would have only gotten 20% off. I also got her a bathing suit....I forget the brand, but it is the kind in PacSun..for $16.00. Again...I saved over half. I think she'll wear it outside our yard. It has a string top with underwires, without the underwires she can't wear that sort of top and they are hard to find. And it has board shorts...which she prefers. It is tres cute. Now we can talk about how cleaver I am. While I go contemplate blown glass fruit. Should I put in in a glass bowl or on a metal tray for contrast? bye |
You are very cleaver, darling. You are the cleaverist. Remember that song in the '60s? " I thought love was only true in fairy tales
Meant for someone else but not for me Love was out to get me, that’s the way it seemed Disappointment haunted all my dreams And then I saw her face Now I’m a meat cleaver Not a trace of doubt in my mind I’m in love I’m a meat cleaver I couldn’t leave her if I tried… I thought love was more or less a giving thing but more I gave the less I've got, oh yeah What’s the use in trying, all you get is pain When I wanted sunshine I got rain And then I saw her face Now I’m a meat cleaver Not a trace of doubt in my mind I’m in love I’m a meat cleaver I couldn’t leave her if I tried… What’s the use in trying, all you get is pain When I wanted sunshine I got rain… And then I saw her face Now I’m a meat cleavver Not a trace of doubt in my mind I’m in love I’m a meat cleaver I couldn’t leave her if I tried… Then I saw her face Now I’m a meat cleaver Not a trace of doubt in my mind Now I’m a meat cleaver, yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah Now I’m a meat cleaver (then I saw her face) Now I’m a meat cleaver (not a trace, of doubt in my mind) I'm a meat cleaver (Now I'm a meat cleaver...) " Sissy and I enjoyed that song. |
it must be THURSDAY for peachbig to have all that time to write Beaver Cleaver tunes--lohannie----------regarding the tubby boys---the one who has his family openly make fun of him------HOW TERRIBLE---- some weird families are like that thinking it is "all in fun"----i can't stand that type of behaviour----------- naturally dh and i make our own remarks to each other-----but not to ds-------he has called himself "Tubby" but doesn't mind taking his shirt off to swim----------he keeps talking about how he will get "buff" when he is 14 and can go to the gym!!-=---he doesn't drink pop,but lots of milk and juice----his "junk" food would be bagels and cream cheese or crackers----------we don't buy chips {more because of ME }---- he really loves "carbs" but last night i told him to eat some fruit and he ate three apples-----his dad is over 6 feet and i am tall so i know he will be tall------------BUT I DON'T WANT HIM TALL AND FAAAAAAAAAAAAT-------------dh used to take the golf cart out when he went with ds but now he makes him walk the whole 18 so that should help some.......... thanks for the input galsssssssssss

Bagzie, I don't know at what point we moms need to start worrying about weight. Like I said, I didn't and I probably should have. Sounds like you're doing really well with encouraging healthy eating habits. And if he has the bonus of height in the family he will probably grow into the weight.
I think Peach is very cleaver herself. Yes, there are fat ppl in the Northwest. Although they usually keep their shirts down. Lush, I vote for a clear glass bowl, very simple, with the colored glass fruit. I need to get out and go shopping. Lush and Kiwi are tempting me. Mr. Wabby loved his shirts and cologne. We bbq'd steaks and I made salad, parmesan bread, & grilled zuchinni. We had an ice cream cake for dessert. I did all this even though I had a screaming headache. As soon as dinner was over I crashed in my room. I woke up to no headache, but a disaster for a kitchen. I hope Mr. Wabby appreciates me. |

We ended up at Target for DD's bathing suit, so we "only" spent $25, but it wasn't great quality, and will probably disintegrate before next summer. It was deeply discounted -- they can charge prices like that because they sell the tops and bottoms separately and people look at it and think "$12.50? well, that's cheap". I mean I like Target, thank goodness they built one in Bangor since I hate and despise MalWart, but it's still a discount store. Since I found my lost bathing suit on board the sailboat, I'm not buying a new one. Even though that one is no great shakes and probably makes me look like a shiny green medicine ball on sticks, and my backup suit is a cast off of my mother's , I can't bring myself to try on bathing suits this year. Every time I do that I get depressed. Wow, Peaches, you were a Monkeys fan? DD is mad at me because I made her turn off her music downloading. It makes everything else on the puter slower than molasses and I don't have all day to download the email. Perhaps I will point out to her that what she is doing is illegal and I can put a permanent end to it any second now. I'm sure you all are such good citizens that you don't let your kids download music, eh? I disagree with the premise of record companies being able to say what happens to their products after they are sold, other than being copied and resold, so I'm in favor of civil disobedience. But not at the expense of my internet access... Originally Posted by Wabby: Bagz, sounds like DS will be fine. A kid that eats 3 apples isn't likely overeating -- he's just hungry. We have the occasional brief skirmish, which usually reminds me that I'm dealing with a rational near-adult now and I ought to try to be rational too, but things are good. She just got her date for her drivers license test. It's not until after we go to the beach, which is good and bad. Means I have to try to figure out what states she can drive in on the way to NC, but I don't have to do anything about the insurance yet. Peachy, I'm entering release notes on one of your books in BookCrossing. Do you still get email notices from there? I tried to make the entry earlier, but it crashed my puter . I just remembered I saved my 3fc entry before it crashed, so I have to go get that and copy it onto the top of this message. See? There it is; you already read it. :D Kiwi |
Food is something that men are grateful for - especially the home cooked, don't have to go to a restaurant to get it kind. Women are usually grateful for the taken out to a restaurant, have someone else cook it, serve it, clean it up kind.

I read the whole song and a few more posts before I thought to check my spelling on my post. Ha. You were cleaver to remember that song, Peachbutt.
Kiwi, I don't think the clothes at PacSun are necessarily of good quality, but my kids do like them...which is worth something. Everyone is getting picky about which jeans and tee-shirt they wear. I am doing financial stuff..I have to go see if it loaded. L |
LO--RD! I just realized my ad-free subscription expired. Ick. You guys been putting up with all those popup ads and crap all this time? Boy, I didn't miss those. I think I'll subscribe again.
|
Although I have to admit I can't complain about coupons for Angel Soft.
|
Let me think .... see ads or pay money ... hmmmm. I dunno.
I got a letter from a woman I don't remember who is organizing my high school reunion. It sounds like a freak show the way she puts it. *Come see who wrote and published a book. *Who is now a successful Atlanta attorney? *Is June Reddick as fine as ever? A whole page of that. |
Angel Soft TP? It would depress me to see ads for decent tp. I can't use it, clogs the septic system. I just got an email telling me to re-up. I haven't started getting pop-ups, yet. I guess I have a little time. Naturally I will procrastinate until I get hounded.
I am getting my finances in order. I am paying everything online. It appeals to the lazy person in me. Wabby, I think it is a different thing for girls to chunk up than it is for boys. Girls naturally hold weight, AND girls are less willing to do what you want so no matter what you would have done, she would have eaten as she pleased. I also don't think you can fool a girl with a "family shape-up" plan...they know. Boys, on the other hand...they're oblivious, like their dads. Today I'm going to the shore with the friend from yesterday and her annoying son. I am going to defend DS12 in front of Annoyingboy's mother so she knows how he bugs us by calling all the time. Aren't I a bore???? I can't stand myself. I'm going...bye |
I have not seen an ad for Angel Soft TP ... is this because I'm using Mozilla. DS is making me use it.
I am home. Home. HOMMEMEMEEEE. Post. |
What TP is best for septic tanks?
|
I didn't realize I might be compromising my septic system by using the wrong tp!! Now I have something else to keep me awake at night. We've always used Costco brand. What kind is the good stuff for septic systems?
No, Lush, you are not a bore. You have the life I wish I had. Your house is clean. You don't have to work 40 hours a week at a boring job. You're at the shore today instead of in a cubicle. My wonderful 3D friend has invited me to go on a garden tour on Sunday. There are 24 gardens featured, but we will only be able to get through about 6 or 7 of them. How do I choose???? There is a brochure that describes each garden, so I will have to study it today and decide. And of course we will need to schedule time for lunch. I'm cheap. I put up with pop ups. Bagzie, you would love this book The Way the Crow Flies. It's written by a Canadian with a Canadian point of view. I didn't realize how different that is. I guess we US citizens think the world revolves around us. Bet that's not news to you. |
