New Year, New Goals, New Me - week 24
Hey fellow Newbies. I hope everyone is doing well, and has an enjoyable weekend. Dan, Chequita, Chachee - hope to hear from you. Anyone new - welcome aboard.
My goal is to keep on keeping on. I am slowly assimilating healthy changes into my life. Higher fat foods, on a day to day basis, don't taste as good. I still get urges, but they are not as often. Portion sizes are slowly coming down. And I am starting to find new ways to deal with life's little ups and downs, instead of getting "chip-faced" with my two best friends - Ben and Jerry. I feel good about that, even though I wish effort and good intentions made the results show up faster. So, I want to continue working on healthy food choices and portion control. Sticking to my menus. And working out.
Have a good one, all.

Hi All!
Thought I would check in before I put my son and dogs to bed for a nap.
My goal, a tough one, will be to not sabotage myself this weekend and to get lots of rest.
Sounds like we are all right on track. I'm hoping to have a great weekend and get some pictures and art hung. It's been almost a year, so I think it's time!! Heehee

Hi Everyone.
Well, I checked in this morning on the scales for the end of my mini-challenge. I was down to 221. That is a 17.5 loss while my hubby was home. My goal was 15, so I am happy with that! My scales weigh me about 3-3.5 lbs lighter than the ww scales, so I am still down so far this week.
I did not make good choices this weekend as far as food was concerned. It's something I continually do to myself, so I am making up for it the next few days before weigh in. It's tough, and something I need to work on.
Jolly: I understand about the bad choices. I made 2 loafs of banana bread, about 4 dozen chocolate chip cookies and about 4 dozen peanut butter chip cookies. I didn't eat the cookies once they were baked, but man, that cookie dough was amazing! I'm over it, froze the cookies and the bread for when I have my surgery, and it's all done with. Gave away half of what I baked to friends and neighbors. I do better if the stuff isn't even in the house.
Good luck on your weigh in tomorrow. Also to you, Chequita. Hi Dan and Lucky.

Congrats on your loss, Chachee. I know you will make your goal for your surgery. Also, congrats on giving the extra food away. Little steps make the difference.
Here's to a good week for all of us.

Jolly: Great job on your loss! Look at you go! That is a lot of weight to lose in a short amount of time. You will be able to move the bar down next week!
I've been bad this weekend, and am paying for it. Gotta undo all the bad I did, so we shall see if the scales are kind to me this week.

Hey all. Just wanted to say hi. Little lonely though. I have to work tonight, so will check back in, and hopefully hear that things are going wonderfully for all of you I feel pretty good. I went to bed very early last night. And did my weight workout and spin class this morning. Woo hoo.
Take care, and have a great day.

Hello Everyone!
Chequita: Great job on the loss again. You are such a great picture of how to lose weight sensibly! Keep up the great work.
Jolly: I was in bed early as well. I'm just pooped lately! I think I am finally relaxing now that hubby is home to help take care of things. Just need to get a really good rested sleep. Maybe one of these days..
Going to measure tomorrow. I think it's going to be good. I am up on weight. Having a bad week has really been bad for me on the scales. Oh well.

Hey all. Does anyone else think it is funny that one of the pop up ads for a "healthy weight loss community" is for a weight gain powder? Hmmm.
Chachee, good luck with your measurements. I did mine again, after reading your post, and found I was down. Really helps.
Now, if I weren't eating to stay awake tonight.
Ah well. Off to get some actual work done. Catch you all later.

Hello Everyone! (or just Jolly)
Was sick as a dog last night. OMG, haven't felt that bad in a long time. Still pretty woozy, but here at work. Don't know how long, but trying to make a whole day of it.
Weighed this morning, as normally do on WW Wednesdays. I was down from last week, but we will see if that holds true for the weigh in tonight.
Jolly: I'm amazed at some of the pop up ads here on this site. Strange who chooses to advertise, huh?
Well, off to work! I'll try to check in later.

Hey all. So, Chachee, how did weigh in go last night? I think you need to send Bat over to me. With some specific instructions to beat my butt. I am letting self doubt and old demons stop my efforts right now. With stress about the horse, and some work coverage issues, I am letting myself get over tired, which makes me overeat. I haven't missed a workout yet, but am not working out as hard as I should.
So, hope your weigh in went well, and send Bat to me.

Weigh in was good. Was down another 1.4, for a total of 30.6. Very excited! Got another 5 pound star and a great round of applause. The lady that joined one week after me was down 35, so I have to lose the 5 this week to pull back ahead of her!
I'll try to post more later, as I am running late this morning!
Jolly, bat is on his way!
