Hello Everyone,
I wanted to get here early because I'm going to be very busy at work today. I'm taking off tomorrow ,because tomorrow night I'm going to see Nora Jones in concert and I didn't want to be tired for the concert. My DH and I are going. We are going out to dinner before the concert. It should be a nice evening.

I got to the Y last night. I didn't push myself to hard. I'm feeling better, but I didn't want to overdue it.

I'm thinking I might have a loss tonight or at least stay the same. Sometimes I can just tell by how my body feels; you know what I mean?

I'm getting my computer back tomorrow, so on Saturday I plan to catch up with each of you individually with my posts.

Thanks for hangining in there with me. I'll talk to you all on Saturday (I don't get my computer back until late Friday night).

Good Morning Chicks!
I hope the sun is shining out there somewhere. we are on our 3rd day of rain!!
I was down 1 at TOPS. So 234.I am 231 on my scale at home in the mornings.I'll take it.It is the right direction.
Yeah Jodi!!!! I am so happy to hear you are feeling more postive.Enjoy your healthy lunch. More big hugs coming at ya. I am thinking of a healthy lunch too. Just not sure yet.

greenlass~ good for you for breaking the binge and getting re focussed today!! it is soooo much easier to give in to it. Great motivation.

I feel better when I drink lots of water but I get bloated and feel fat I truly dont understand how it helps you lose weight. Any explainations????

Susie~ got my fingers and toes crossed for a loss. Glad you are feeling better.

I ate late last night, and not just anything, oh no, not Nan! I had to have two candy bars last night. UGH! DUH NAN! Not that late in the day. At least I didn't gain and I just have to get my sorry butt back on track today. So far, so good.

Jodi - YOU GO GIRL!

Holly - Congratulations on the loss! That's awesome!

Susie - do what your body dictates when you're recovering from yuck. You'll be back on track in no time.

April - hope things are going better.

Very sad.
One of my hubby's childhood friends committed suicide. hubby went yesterday to his home town to be with friends. Andy leaves behind a wife of 14, years and 2 boys ages 10 and 12. I cannot imagine being in a place where you believed there was no hope at all or that your children would be better off without you.
it seems so pointless.Hubby is very quiet.I am worried. We will go to the visitation tonight.
I just put 4 kids onto the bus. I have 2 toddlers playing quietly. this is the first moment i have had to really release.I was still asorbing it last night.
It is soooo freakin sad.

The visitation was good to go to.it helps to say goodbye. Hubby seems okay.

I have eaten well for 3 days. Today will hopefully be the same. It is my sons 6 th birthday. I am taking 6 boys to a gym place for pizza, cake and basic tearing around like maniacs.The grandparents are coming tomorrow. Hockey will be played 3 times in the midst of all this. Yee ha.It will be busy and fun.

I hope everyone is doing well!!!!! It is lonely here without ya! Take care chickies!

better yet where is everyone? sorry i haven't been in here very much. i did manage to pull myself together and stayed with it for 2 days. i hate when i get in that sorry for me state but it does happen. i am back on the road again now though.

holly so sorry to hear about your dh's friend, glad you were able to get a little closure at the visitation. great job staying on plan!! congrats on the loss and keep up the great work!!!!

nan- i had a candy bar streak last week myself. hope you are back with it though. we all step off here and there, once in a while. be good to yourself!!!

mychoice how was norah jones?? i just love her voice, her music really relaxes me. hope you are back up and running on the computer at home.

hi greenlass- i was a little blue for a while but i am raring to go once again.

let's do this ladies!! do we need a little holiday challenge or something for motivation?? just a thought. i have a goal in mind to loose 10 lbs by christmas. i think this is doable, hopefully at the very least it will keep me from gaining during the holiday's this year.

Hi Everyone,
My computer is back home and up and running. Yeah! I'm just popping in to say hi. I've been trying to catch up on the posts.

Someone mentioned a Christmas Challenge? I'm for that. How else wants to do one here?

We went to see Nora Jones last night in concert. What a wonderful singer she is! She sounds just like her cds. Our seats were excellent! 5 rows from the stage and right in front of her keyboard. I was able to take some pics. Can't wait to see how they turn out!

I'm OP and doing ok. I've got a lot to do today. I have a take home test for Accounting to finish and then we have pictures at the church for the directory.

Just wanted to stop in. I hope to be back later on during the day.

Holly: Huggs to your DH. What a horrible thing to have to go though!

Mornin'!
Hubby just took son to hockey. Daughter is still sleeping. I am enjoying a coffee.
Yesterday was looong but nice. These are a great group of kids, who also have nice families. I feel blessed with our friends and neighbours.
The main topic of conversation with 6 year old boys is poop in all it's variations.Pretty funny.
My friend brought over pics from the holloween party last weekend. They are wonderful except the one of me where i am sitting,leaning back. My butt,thighs and stomach have taken over the whole province. A much needed reminded that I am FAT.
It is just not okay to be 5'5" and weigh 234 lbs.
I am thinking of doing a cleanse diet for afew days to get my body jump started and maybe functioning better.What i am doing isn't working well and I think that it should. I figure my metbolism is messed up.
I need to clean(vacuum,wash kitchen flor), ice a cake, go to Sunday School, entertain the Grandparents and it is my sons FIRST ever ,real hockey game at 4pm!!!! He is more than excited!!

I am going to stay OP. I will have 1 small piece of bday cake. I will NOT eat before bed.

Susie~I am glad you popped in and the computer is up and running.Glad Nora Jones was enjoyable.I am up for a christmas challenge!! I have never done well on a challenge but maybe this time is a charm!

Hello,
I'm trying to get going here this morning. I've got a lot to do! We will be leaving for church soon and then my tutor is coming this afternoon. I really am glad that I decided to get one to help me with this accounting class it's been a big payoff.

I'm doing ok and OP. I'm going to try to get in a walk here and there for the next couple of days. I would like to fit in a workout sometime today but I don't think that I'll have the time today, or rather I won't find the time. The reason being is that I have to pack for a conference that I'm leaving for in the morning. I'll be gone 3 days. The hotel does have a workout room so I'm taking my workout clothes with me. I'm also hoping that since I'll have the evenings to myself I can work out some new goals for me to take me through the end of the year. I've got two new magazines to look through also, Shape and Fitness. I'm sort of looking forward to my alone time!

Holly: It's nice to see you here this morning! I'm sure the rest will join us soon. Sounds like you have a full day yourself. About that picture of yourself, just use it for motivation, don't let it bring you down!

Hey Ladies, I have a lot in common w/many of you!

My Story:

I am 24 and married for three yrs. I have a seven month old son, and I am quite chunky.

I was bulimic until I was 19, and then I put on weight when I stopped. I was around 155, and before I was pregnant I got up to around 210 ish. My highest weight at the end of my pregnancy was 239, and I only lost a few pound after Kyle was born. I was stuck at 225 for a long time. Now I am up a size (18) and working my way back to 16, then 14, then 12.

My struggles are:
1.)Bakery supervisor hubby, who brings home yummy treats. I have disciplined myself to one dessert a week. Some weeks are easier than others.

2.) My own messed up mind!! I get so sad and down on myself when I make one little slip. I am really working on getting passed freaking myself out when I slip. Sometimes I lack motivation....but 80% of the time I make it through.

What I do that has been working:
Counting calories, journaling, and being active. I keep track of stuff on fitday's website. I stay active by working out to Denise Austin dvd's and walking 30-50 min. 5 times a week. Walking is great because my son loves seeing the sites at the park/trail and I get in my aerobics.

Seems like you are on the right track!!
You will adore the chicks here.

I ate 2 pieces of cake and had Smarties ice cream. 14 of us went to my sons first ever hockey game, including my 94 year old grandma. then we all went for a chinese buffet. I ate okay there but probably high in sodium.
Tomorrow is a new day!!! Thank goodness!!

Mornin',
I just took 4 kids to story time. I haven't over eaten yet and I have been up for 4 1/2 hours.I will make the kids lunch soon. I will have a salad and grilled chicken later on.
Need to have the chicken cooked and available thern I eat it.
I am trying to have anew resolve today. I have that butt shot pic right in front of me as a reminder of how I really look.
Oh yeah~ your pic was nice Susie~ is that one of your new blouses. It 's pretty.It's nice to put a face to the person writing! How are you doing today??

My goal for today is to stick to the induction week of Dr Phil's diet.

I"m going to a conference tonight through Wednesday and won't have access to a computer unitl Wednesday evening/Thursday morning.

I'll miss you all! Stay on plan..I"m going to work hard at that myself while I'm gone, because I'm just going on a trip..not taking a break from my healthy way of living..because that's what it is...a way of life..not just a diet!

WE CAN DO THIS LADIES!!

Well, so far, so good. I haven't lost any more weight, but I haven't gained either. I keep waiting for something to happen, but nothing is. I don't believe I'm doing anything wrong right now, but you never know. I'm still keeping my calories to 1200 per day and I am burning ketones, but still nothing. Hopefully soon though. I really wanted to be below 235 for my birthday and that's this Thursday so if I'm going to make this goal, I need to do something soon. Right now, I'm bummed out, but not broken down.

Kylesmommy - WELCOME! The more the merrier. We are all here for each other and would love to have you.

Holly - sounds like you're getting things in order quite well. Please let your hubby know I'm sorry for his loss.

Susie - cute picture of you on that website. Wouldn't it be fun if that website had before and final after pictures of you before you graduate?

April, Heather, Girlie, Jodi and Jill - where'd ya all go? We want updates, or at least to know that you are all ok. I miss you guys.

I had a great lunch of grilled chicken ceasar salad(homemade) no croutons,low fat dressing and then I ate cake and ice cream and more ice cream. sigh. I had a few chips this aft and I just now ate a small chocolate bar. sigh
This seems too hard some days. I am wondering if I really do want to lose the weight.If i BELIEVE I can.
Hmmmmm...sigh
