labchick 11-28-2004 09:55 PM

Hello

Well, I'm done with work for the week PHEW! This weekend was a hard one with lots of patients and everyone needing more than the usual. 'tis the season to be sneezin'! I got my review from my new supervisor today. I almost fell over! She was so nice. It's so nice to be appreciated for a change. I haven't lost anymore, but it's ok because I haven't gained either. I'm just hoping to lose that one more pound by Tuesday or Wednesday so I can make my goal.

Debbie - I'm glad you found your way back from technical purgatory!

Jodi - HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHICKIE! I hope this next year is a wonderful one for you.

Holly - When you're done with your house, you are always welcome to come start on mine. ;) I'll even pay you. I completely suck at painting and so does my hubby.

Susie - I'm crossing my fingers for you on your final exam. I wish I was as organized as you are. I haven't even begun to decorate for the holidays yet. But this week is the week I need to get it started and done.

Hope everyone is well, I'll check back in later,

Nan

debby if you click on "last page" that will usually bring you to where we are now. we really should start a new thread to shorten it up, i hate to step on anyones toes though.

Hi, wonderful chicks!

Well, the kids and dh are back where they belong today (school and work) so I can get my house back in order. I may pull out the Christmas decorations today and try to get some of that done. This year is going to be difficult in gift buying for the kids. They really don't want toys anymore-more into video games. I did very well yesterday with the food, but not so good on Sat. Thinking about going back to WW just to have some kind of accountability each week. I REALLY want to lose this weight. I'm so tired of not fitting into MOST of my clothes and don't want to buy new ones in bigger sizes! We can do this, girls!

Our weather was gorgeous the last few days. The yard turned out beautifully-it looks so much better with all the leaves sucked up. I would like to get some pansies to put out now that the geraniums have finally died.

Holly-Wow! Your hall sounds so cute. I'm okay at painting but am scared to try the different techniques available now. I love the country look. I'm glad you had a date with your dh.

Jodi-I'm so happy that you are feeling better. It's scary when you get so sick. I hope that they can let you know what's wrong. Happy belated birthday! 37-just a baby!
Where did you go out to eat for your bday?

Labchick-Congrats on a good review! It sounds like you like your job. I have my fingers crossed for you to make your goal.

Susie-You are much too good at getting everything done and studying and running your life. I hope you did well on your final. :)

Debbie-Hope you're doing well. It's so frustrating when you can't access things online.

Well, gotta go clean up, exercise :) and get out the Christmas things.

Have a blessed OP day!

Jill

Hi Ladies,
I'm running behind today! Things at work are crazy! I'll get things caught up here shortly.

I haven't given my notice yet and I really need to do that by Wednesday of this week. I want to go and sign the papers from the other company before I give my notice and the HR person is out until tomorrow. Hopefully I can get in to see him tomorrow. I'll just feel better when I have those papers signed.

I laughed when I read how most of you think that I run my life well. I sometimes think I'm losing it!

I didn't get a chance to get online yesterday but I did make it the Y for a workout. I hadn't worked out on a Sunday for over 2 weeks and I was bound and determined that I would make it there yesterday. I sure felt great about myself that I did! I had bought myself some new workout pants at Walmart and I just felt "stylin". I think it's important to buy new things for ourselfs along the way so that we can feel nice in our smaller things and even if they aren't smaller, we all deserve to look nice! Don't you agree?

Holly: It sounds like you are having a fun filled day! I don't know how you do it all! I saw your comment about a new thread. What does everyone else think?

Jill: I can really relate to having everyone out of the house so you can get back on track! I operate that way also. Your comment about being tired of not fitting into your clothes is something I also relate to. That's what started me on this journey. Keep that thought in the front of your mind...it will help you get to where you want to go!

Jodi: Happy Birthday. Sorry I missed it! (how does everyone know when everyone's birthday is?) I'm glad you are feeling better.

Nan: Glad to hear that things are going well on the job front. I hope that you make your goal. I know you are trying your hardest and I want you to be able to say you achieved it! Keep up the good work!

Ok..I need to get back to what I'm suppossed to be working on.

Talk to all later.

Susie

greenlass6103 11-30-2004 07:46 AM

Hi, beautiful chickies! It's a cloudy morning and I am going Christmas shopping! Yea!! It should be fun. I am going to stop in at Barnes & Noble and try to pick up the book The Thyroid Diet. I am going to read it and see if it helps any with the weight loss. I am doing excellent so far today. Breakfast was 2 egg whites scrambled, sprayed Pam on the griddle, and 1 piece lo-cal whole wheat toast with ff smart-beat and tiny bit of jam. Since I am leaving the house to go shopping, that will help with not grazing. Moo!! I LOVE to snack. I think my biggest problem is portions, though. I always want more than I am supposed to have. I need to change my mind set to be satisfied with what I can have. SIGH!

Debbie-It's great that you're feeling good today. It is too early for sleet. Yuck! I am also glad you figured out about your computer.

Gotta go shower and run. Bye!

Hello Ladies!

I took the kids out to the egg lady, butcher shop and park too.Soon it will be lunch and nap time.
DD is on a playdate all day.
Food is good today so far. I will WATP.

Hugs to everyone.

MyChoice2bfit 11-30-2004 12:00 PM

Hello Everyone,

I had a little bit of a setback last night. I had 3 cupcakes! 3! I made myself stop when I realized that I was just stuffing them down. I did it when I came home from work. I'm pretty sure it's stress. I haven't given my notice to my company yet because I need to sign the papers at the other company and until I do that I don't feel comfortable giving my notice. However, it's getting down to the wire. The HR guy at the new company was out yesterday and should be back in today. I'm hoping so! I tried to call but got his voice mail. After my company taking it's offer off the table I just am a little gun-shy.

This morning before work I wrapped a couple of presents. I'm going to try and do that a little each day so I don't have so many to do at one time.

Well, time for lunch. I brought 1/2 a ham and cheese sandwich and some chips and some califlower (raw). I'm going to read my book. Yes! I'm reading for pleasure for the next couple of weeks...no more Accounting until Jan!

Susie

I just read the greatest thing. A woman listed 5 things she did RIGHT that day.
Why not do it every day. What a geat positive spin!!!

justjodi 11-30-2004 08:56 PM

hello everyone,
you all sound good, i am having a really bad week. dh took the boys to help his uncle cut down a tree on sunday. the tree was covered with poison ivy, yup they all 3 got it!! my youngest has it the worst of the 3, i just got back from the dr with him he prescribed a steroid for him to take. poor little guy has it all over his face, he is miserable. my dd got hurt in gym class today (knee) the nurse called and they sent her home on crutches. the dr checked it while we were there and said she could of pulled a ligament. i don't want to see another dr this year!!! i did a good job not over eating because of all this i feel pretty much in control of the food situation so far. keeping my fingers crossed!! thank you all for posting here all of your inspiration gets me through each day!

holly- sounds like you had a good day! congrats to your son on the good report card!

mychoice- don't beat yourself up, good job catching yourself with the cupcakes. i hope you get the job situation worked out i know how stressful that can be. good luck.

debby glad you found us again!

greenlass- you sound so positive!! keep up the great work!! let me know how the book is. i am a diet book junkie.

greenlass6103 12-01-2004 07:42 AM

Hi, everybody! I had a good day food-wise yesterday, probably because was busy all day. I need to get the exercise thing going as a habit again. It's amazing how quickly I can lose the good habits and keep the bad. It's weird-I don't hate walking, usually I like it when I get out there and get going, but it's SO hard to get my rear in gear and just do it.

Well, I need to get up and go do some housework and see what kind of trouble I can find to get into.

Jodi-Poor girl! Poison ivy is a booger to deal with. A few years ago when we went camping, my youngest son got a bad case of it. It was all over his face, also. It was so hard to get him not to scratch it and spread it! I'll be praying for him and your dd to heal quickly. How old is your youngest ds? I'm so proud of you for not using food to deal with the stress of this situation!

Susie-I can relate on the cupcake thing. I'm glad you stopped yourself when you realized what you were doing. I hope you get to sign your papers with the new company today. How did you do on your final? or no grade yet? Are you reading anything good? I'm a bookaholic.

Holly-Sounds like you are super busy. You're a good woman, taking all those kiddies about with you! How was the WATP?

Well, gotta go. I just started the Thyroid Diet book last night. Haven't gotten to the actual diet part yet. Keeping my fingers crossed that I will stay in control of the eating monster today. Being home all day is my worst time. God bless you all!

Jill

MyChoice2bfit 12-01-2004 08:32 AM

Good morning Everyone,
Thanks for all the positive words about my cupcake binge. I'm ok with it and I'm moving forward. I can truly say that because when I got home from an employee meeting last night (I had to go because I've not given my notice yet; my boss isn't in today! If he isn't in tomorrow I'm going to HAVE to call him then. I can't really wait any longer.) I felt like having a snack (stress eating) but I didn't, I thought to myself, it's not going to make anything less stressful. I just brushed my teeth and went to bed!

Jill: I'm glad you had a good food day yesterday. It is hard to get back into exercising, but once you start its easy, so just start! How's the book? I have a low thyroid myself and I take medicine for it. You asked what I was reading; right now I'm ready "Hard Eight" by Janet Evanovich. Have you ever read any of her books?

I am signing papers with the new company today. So at least that will be done. I haven't heard what I got on my Accounting final. Hopefully I know something by the end of the week.

Holly: I think listing 5 things we do right is a good idea. I'm going to be aware of that today and have my list tomorrow! Thanks for giving us something new to try!

Jodi:You really are having a tough week ((HUGSSS))) to you!

Ok, time to get busy at work. I've got a lot to do.

Susie

Been a busy week or so...

Hi all. Sorry it's been a minute since I've checked in. With Thanksgiving and all, it's been nutty. Also had a knee problem over the holiday which wasn't much fun.

Greenlass - We're on the same page with exercise! I love doing it, but getting up off my rear is the hard part. Can't really exercise for about a week right now (knee), but will pick it up next week. Just do it, girl!

Jodi - Way to go in making good food choices, despite the stress!

Debbie - You and I have a similar problem (I'm also a 26/28). The sleeves seem to be SOO long in some of those clothes! But neither of us will have to be concerned about it much longer, right?

Holly - Love the 5 things idea.

Hope everyone has a great day. Talk to you later.

Debbie 12-02-2004 08:06 AM

Good Morning Everyone, Im Having Trouble Sleeping Again. Hope It Passes, I Dont Like Taking Meds For It. I'm Still Working On Portion Size. I Dont Snack Much. But I Eat Too Much At Meal Time. SLIMMINGSI: HELLO HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT DAY

MyChoice2bfit 12-02-2004 08:33 AM

Hi Everyone,

I'm still in limbo because I haven't told my old boss about my decision to leave. He hasn't been in the office. I'm thinking he will be in this afternoon. I hope so. I need to get this over and done with and move on!

Here are my five things that I did right yesterday:

1. I didn't have thos cookies and milk that I was thinking about having last night at 9:00 p.m. when I was watching the Nick and Jessica Christmas special. I really talked myself out of them. I waited 20 min and after that 20 min I didn't want them. Of course seeing Jessica Simpson's body in that one white outfit that she had on helped me to make my decision. Wow! Wouldn't it be something to wear that and look like she did?

2. I had a good walk at the Y.

3. I didn't wimp out on the weight training. I used it to get my energy back and my head clear.

4. I help someone who I know did me wrong last week with something that she wasn't able to do. It's easy to be a good person when people are nice to you, but it's hard to be nice to your enemys!

5. I told my husbad that I loved him and that I needed him in my life. I think he's been doubting it because I'v been in so many directions. So, I made sure that he knew that I consider us the most important thing going on.

Debbie: Congats on the 3 lb loss! I hope you get the sleep problem figured out. Have you seen a doctor about it? The reason I ask is that I had a friend who was having trouble sleeping. He went to the doctor and was wanting a sleep aid, but the doctor ran some blood work before giving it to him and he found out he was a diabetic. That was his problem. He's doing very well now with everything.

Heather: I hope your knee problem resolves itself soon.

Slim: Welcome! It's nice to have you on board with this. You sound determined! I know you can make it.

Holly: You are such a busy woman! and yet you seem to take life instide. I hope I learn to be much more like you!

Ok..got to run.

Susie

Hollyhock 12-02-2004 09:04 AM

My day yesterday was fairly uneventful. I spent a lot of time rocking the wee baby and then a sick 18 monther. I got lethargic as the day went on. I did wash the floor at nap time.
Dh did not do any tiling. He slept on the couch from 10am-3pm and then again from 8pm-11pm. Then he came to bed and slept through the night. He must have been one tired little man.
The old me would have been pissed off. The new me felt compassion and realized how exhausted he must be to sleep so much. That would be the right thing #1.
I was grumpy after supper and stopped myself from yelling.#2
I went to TOPS and weighed in. I was down .5. I also borrowed the No Gain Holiday Challenge from the thread here and the group wants to do it.#3
I had to call the nasty Mom from SS and I have put it off for 4 days, I did it. #4
I did some stretched last night. #5
I thought I didn't do anything of significance. Maybe this is a good exercise!!!
I have 4 kids today. They are palying well. Tomorrow is a school holiday. ARG! It will be chaotic. I have asked a grade 8 boy to come and help out.

Slimmingsi~Welcome!!

Hevron~ How's the knee feeling?

Debbie~ Congrats on the 3 lbs, that's a huge loss!!!!

Susie~Hope all goes smoothly for you today. Our hubby's can take the back seat a times. I try to keep mine in the forefront too.

Jodi~ How's the crew doing today??

Have a glorious day chicks!!

Girlie 12-02-2004 11:59 AM

Hello everyone!

First of all, WELCOME to anyone I may not have "met" yet.

I apologize for being so bad at posting lately. My computer at home is so slow when DH is not on it...and here at work, it's hard to get on here with all the smiley faces and stuff - not businesslike ya know? So I try to sneak a post here every once in a while! LOL.

I have been a little lazy. The wisdom tooth surgery went well but I took it as an excuse to be lazy. In honor of the holiday season and all the challenges that will come about with eating, I started a kickboxing class! I surprised myself.

New Year's is a weird time when I get depressed...but November and December is typically a good workout time for me...it's January that is the hardest. I'm not sure why. The gym is always so packed during January and February and I think I just feel more self conscious or something. I tend to lose weight in the winter...but fall out of it around March or April. So I'm taking my cues from how I know I typically act during certain times of the year and work on changing those behaviors.

Anyway, the kickboxing class was a little hard since it has been exactly 2 weeks (!!!!!) since I have been out for a workout. If I had not stopped going, it wouldn't have been very difficult for me. But I have learned that the body builds itself back up pretty quickly when it is given the chance. I'm going to kickboxing again on Saturday and I hope I can get the moves down and into the whole routine before New Year's, when I expect the class to become packed.

Sorry for the big post...I just wanted to throw out an update. I'll be back soon.

Girlie

labchick 12-02-2004 03:20 PM

Hello All!

WOO HOO! It finally happened! I'm down below 230! It's two days later than my goal, but I'll take it! I almost fell over in a dead faint when I looked at the scale this morning.

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I've been so busy taking care of stuff for this next class and getting my kids ready for their winter sports that the computer has not been part of my daily routine. It feels good to be back though and see how you all are doing.

Girlie - I don't know where you find all the energy to do all those classes. I think one kickboxing class would be enough to do me in.

Holly - I'm glad you're feeling better about your reactions and all. It's nice to see progress on any front.

Susie - I hope your situation with your boss sorts itself all out. It is hard to do sometimes, but remember even if he has a conniption over it, wasn't he the one who told you you were lucky to have a job? HMMM, and now technically (for the moment) you've got TWO! ;)

Debbie - I am so very happy for you on your loss! That's awesome! And just think, it's usually much harder to lose it this time of year so it's an even bigger accomplishment! YOU GO GIRL!

Hevron - I hear ya on the clothing not quite fitting right. My biggest problem is the shoulders. They always drape almost half way down my upper arm and I think it looks tacky. Things are fitting a bit better now that I'm down to a size 22, now the shoulder is only about 1/4th of the way down my arm. It's not much improvement, but it's better than nothing. I can never wear the same size top and bottom either. I'm always one size bigger because I can't stand it when tops pull over the bustline. It makes me feel like Dolly Parton whenever I see that in the mirror. I know it sounds stupid, but it's just a pet peeve of mine with clothes. Oh well, someday I'll have a body that fits the clothes better.

Slim - Welcome aboard. Hope you reach your goal!

Jill - Please let us know how that thyroid diet book is. I've also been looking at the blood type diet. It sounds silly, but I figured these books usually have a little food for thought so why not look into it?

If I've missed anyone, I'm sorry, but I have a preschooler yelling downstairs and that's NEVER a good sign,

Nan

greenlass6103 12-03-2004 08:18 AM

Hi, girls & guys! Truly enjoy reading all of your posts. It helps to know we're all in this together! I worked yesterday so the house is in major disarray. Still haven't gotten to the Christmas stuff. It would be good exercise to haul it up the stairs fromt he basement. I AM going to walk today. My eating has been pretty okay this week but no real exercise since Sunday.

5 good things I have done today: 1) Got three adolescents off to school without losing it. 2) Got dh off to work in a timely and loving manner :> 3) Ate small bowl of high fiber cereal for breakfast 4) Checked in here and felt good about the day ahead 5) Got up from the computer and walked for execise and fun (Can this count as is in future?)

Has anyone seen the new Bridget Jones movie? I would love to see that in the near future. I think Hugh Grant is so cute. I did find a new workout outfit. Yea!

Nan-I'm doing a happy dance for you! It's so great to reach a goal! Have fun with the winter sports.

Susie-Very good things you posted. I'm glad you are doing so good at your exercising. It is important to keep DH first in life, even though it's hard to do at times. I love Janet Evanovich. Stephanie and Lula are a hoot.

Holly-Continue doing good work, girl. You are terrific!

Good to hear from Debbie (3 lbs-WOW!), Welcome, SI! Hi, Girlie-good luck with the kick-boxing-that would kick my rearend!

Ashamed to say, I haven't looked at Thyroid Diet book anymore yet, but promise to over weekend! Going out to walk! Bye!

MyChoice2bfit 12-03-2004 08:50 AM

Good morning Everyone,
I was able to get up this morning and start the day out with a fresh clean attitude! I've told my boss my decision and it went really well. Now, I'm looking forward to starting my new job in just a week. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time!

I had my weigh-in last night. Down 2.5 lbs! I'm in a new set of numbers! I work on this weight-loss 10 lbs at a time. So, that's my focus...those next 10 lbs coming off.

Jill: Yeah! You went for a walk! Didn't it feel good? I want to see the new Bridget Jones movie also. We are going tonight to see Christmas with the Cranks tonight. That looks so funny!

Slim: It's so cool to have a guy here with us!

Holly, Jodi, Nan, Girlie, Debbie and anyone else I've missed I hope you are doing well. Looking forward to seeing all your posts.

Girlie 12-03-2004 10:52 AM

Labchick: Congrats on getting below 230! It's so difficult for me! I hope the next 30 pounds drop off quickly for you!

Slimmings: Welcome! My kickboxing class is more of a Tae Bo sort, but it's still rather effective. I'm SO sore today, especially my upper calves. I will have to take it very easy tomorrow in class. They do a lot of jumping jacks and a lot of jumping in general. I am going to stretch a lot. What part of the UK are you in?

Greenlass: Hello! I like Hugh Grant's roles as well. Did you About a Boy, Notting Hill or Love, Actually? All very fun movies of his. Love, Actually is one of my favorites.

MyChoice: Congrats on the 2.5 pound loss! And Congrats on the new job! Such new thing happening in your life!

Yikes my calves are so sore. I'm having apple slices and no sugar rice pudding for breakfast. Not sure about the rest of the day.

Hope you all are well. I know I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend.

Good afternoon!
It is a school holiday here. The grade 8 boy didn't work out. So I took 6 kids to the early years centre and then out to lunch at a local diner.Nice not to mess the kitchen up.They are all playing quietly and soon 3 will be off to nap.
I went to bed at 9 last night. I am afraid I am getting the virus DS had. I am popping echinacea and vitamin c.
Lots of hockey stuff tomorrow. I really want to decorate for christmas. My border is in for the back hall and shelves are painted so I need to put that together.
Both kids had outstanding reports from their teachers too!!!! I am thrilled. My son is not an easy child but he is doing very well.
I ate well yesterday and so far today.
No extra exercise this week.I will try for some this weekend.

HUGS and a BIG HELLO to everyone. Sounds like we are all rolling into the weekend on a good note!!!

Good Morning, I Had Such A Wonderful Day Sunday. Every Year Hubby Goes To A Toyrun. (motorcycle Rally To Raise Toy For Kids), But I Have Passed For Several Years. You Dont See Many Fat Chicks There! He Convinced Me To Try On My Leather Jacket Since I Had Lost Some Weight. It Zzzipped!!! So Off I Went And Had A Great Time. Talk About Motivation. I Got Up This Am And Found A Old D. Austin Tape
And Did My Very Best. Holley: Yes I Use The Pecans For Holiday
Goodies. But The Are A Great Snack Just Raw.
You Can Toast Them With A Little
Salt And They Are Good That Way Also Slimmingi: I Have Always Wanted To Visit The Uk. My Fathers Family Come From Wales. And My Mother Was Irish And Cherokee. What A Temper That Redhead Had.

Hugs To Everyone.

Girlie 12-06-2004 10:59 AM

Debbie:
Whoo Hoo on going to the rally! Let's make 2005 a year for many new beginnings!

Slimmings:
I'd love to visit England, outside of London. I was in London this time a year ago and liked it, but it was so big-cityish and everything moves so fast. Plus, it is hard to find larger sized clothing there, especially since a women's US size 18 is a UK size 20. All the stores I went into only sold up to a size 20UK and barely fit - where do people who wear larger sizes shop? I did go to a secondhand store and found a lovely wool duffel coat that I just love.

Holly:
I have trouble with the water. Maybe we could make that a goal this week.

I think I mentioned to everyone that I am in a Healthy Heart Group. It's a program through one of the local hospitals and a group of women meet each week to talk about our challenges and goals for the week...not necessarily weight loss, but just heart healthy changes. I've been making one exercise goal and one food goal each week. For example, mine was to get four workouts in and eat my full servings of veggies for at least three days this week. We kind of tailor our goals to what we're having trouble with, and we are advised to start small and gradually add on. Some people aim to have an apple or two a day...some aim to get their 8 glasses of water in a few days a week, etc.

I think I will do that on this thread starting next week. Wednesday is the last day of our class and so I'll want to continue with the weekly goals. It will be sad to leave the group...we've been together for 12 weeks!

BTW, the kickboxing is kicking my butt. I almost cried after class on Saturday. Not because it was too hard physically...because I have so much trouble getting the moves down. For example, I'll be jumping when they are moving on to squat, or I'll be kicking when they are punching. It's hard for me to listen to the instructor and watch her and predict what she's going to do next. So I'm always a few seconds behind and it's embarassing because I feel like they are all watching me and laughing. I felt like a totally fat cow the other day. All the girls are so thin, doing their perfect kicks and stuff...I felt so, so sad and never wanted to go back. But before class, I signed up for another 4 classes...I wish I had waited until I saw how the class went before I registered...but I'm determined to go to all four classes. Maybe I'll even catch on and will enjoy it. But I felt really ashamed on Saturday. I don't want to give up.

Whoosh!
We are having a freezing rain storm so all the busses were cancelled and work for DH. All the other parents still had to go. I was looking at 8 kids and Dh who was sitting on the couch barking out comments etc. I was ready to scream. I meditated instead asked for patience amd strength. DH changed his tune and was pleasant and one family stayed home.We have coloured and done crafts and now the big kids are out sliding around the yard.It has been nice.
It is almost lunch time and then nap time for 4 of them!!
I rock.
Food has been good again. Water is much better. I am usually really good with water but i was out all day Sat and wasn't prepared.I am mostly at home.
I got a big chunk of housework done last night.
All is good.
I need to make peanut brittle for a cookie swap on Friday. Dh and the kids eat most of it. If it was a cheese and cracker swap i would be in BIG trouble. LOL.

Debbie~ you are a power house!!!
Girlie~ I admire your perseverence!!

How is everyone else???

hevron 12-06-2004 01:20 PM

I hate being injured!

My knee is healing very slow, and I'm ticked off because I can't really exercise. Walking at Wal-Mart is a challenge right now. Oh well...healing's on the way, so hopefully I can pick up some exercise soon.

Girlie - You'll get those moves down. Once you start becoming familiar with the moves, it won't be any problem at all. I had that issue when I started step aerobics (w/o the step), but you get more familiar with it in time.

Jodi - Thanks for asking about the knee!

Hope everyone is doing well. Can't talk long today, so I'll write everybody again tomorrow. Blessings to you!

slimmingsi 12-06-2004 01:33 PM

don't worry about being behind in kick boxing girlie just cut down the reps to keep up with everyone so if its 30 kick on each leg but you can only do 20 when everyone else moves on stay with 20 then the next time try and get in 21 thats how i started i never had any probs from the others but it was a propper fighting gym with 2 national champions in it so the fact u were there blowing out of your arse and sweating badly was enough to get there respect i went one stage futher and stepped into the ring and sparred with them to

MyChoice2bfit 12-06-2004 02:00 PM

Hi Everyone,
This is a "drive by" post. I'm so busy trying to get everything wrapped up at work before I leave on Thursday.

I'm looking forward to going to the Y tonight. I need the workout to destress!

I hope everyone is doing ok today. If not..let's take a minute and take a deep breathe and get our heads back on straight! I know I need to do this..so I just did it.

This board is so wonderful that we can come here and cheer together when we are doing well and know that when we aren't we are here to give each other a hand up.

Susie

Afternoon all!

Sorry I've been so remiss about posting, but things have gotten very hectic around here. I'm almost ready to start back at class and my nerves are shot. I'm hanging right at 228 and very happy about it. Only 3 lbs to go this month and I'll have reached my goal of 225. WOO HOO! I would love to be below 220 by the first of the year, but we'll see. One lb at a time.

Susie - I hope your new job is everything you want it to be.

Hevron - I hope your knee heals quickly. It's always a bummer to be limited by any injury.

Holly - We're having freezing rain here too. It sucks, but at least I don't have to drive in it.

Girlie - You'll get the kickboxing down pat in no time. It's when you are the most frustrated that the biggest breakthroughs come out.

If I've missed anyone I'm sorry.

Nan
