Good morning!!
I have been reading and must have been answering in my head. I thought i had posted.
Debbie~hugs for your woes. Hope DS will straighten up a bit. I was a bit like thta is my 20's. According to others.LOL! I was really sad inside. Didn't have self worth. It iwas realy no ones fault a series of life events. I also know that my DH went through a deep depression after his first marriage failed. Depending on the type of guy that kind of "failure" is unforgivable to them.
HUGS!!
Susie~ you are getting a real taste of all stages of parenthood. You are pretty organized yerself!
Annie~ Back in the saddle?? You can do this!!

We are getting some of the rain others have had. I was supposed to have 7 kids today but 2 are staying home. Dad's a farmer. I am happy about the lighter load.
I accomplished a great deal yesterday.Cleaning, banking, cooking, freezing, gathering of Avon Christmas stock, good conversation with DS's teacher AND the biggie!!~ the paret handbook for ur school I have been writing and edting since last Feb had gone to print!!!!!!!!!
If anyone is interested I could email it. It is a meaty tome.LOL!

Now onto food. I was HUNGRY all day. I ended up eating home mini pizza last night. It was darn good.
My weight IS down to 229.75 after the weekend blip.Be nice if it was 199.....
1 project down! now I need to focus on me a little.
HUGS!!

Good evening everyone,
I just got home from work, What a day!! This is the week we sell the rv's and boats. They are a lot more trouble. I'll keep this short it's almost bedtime.
Dh and ds are doing better. They usually get along ok.
I went over on my points as usual today. I went to the mexican buffet today
but they have some low fat dishes. They have a chicken enchilada with no cheese and a spicy veggie sauce, also they have a great squash side dish I've not been eating the beans and rice.

Holly: Cute pic of your furrbaby. We have 3 grown cats and 2 kittens. the 3 adults just wandered up as babies and we kept them. I've got to get my female fixed.

Susie: good luck with nephew. Just let him know you believe in him and know he will do what he needs to do to keep his life heading in the right direction.

Annie: I'm glad you are doing well. :) You go girl.

:cb:

I sleepy, so good night. God bless

annie175 10-14-2005 09:56 AM

TGIF Ya'll. hehe

Eating was ok, probably a bit over on points last night, got up to Auntie Flo...which explains a lot for the past few days. I have cramps, big time, and a tremendous headache. Hope the ibuprofen kicks in real soon.

Ms. Susie...my 3 things for me....I JOINED CURVES...It was free start up with a mammogram receipt, which I just had last month. So will be just the 29.00 a month, and work reimburses 1/2 of monthly gym fees, which makes Curves 15 a mo for me. Weee haaaa!! Cheap exercises, mostly just wanted to join to get moving a bit several times a week. So now I have WW on Mondays and Curves 3-4 days a week. Joining was one thing I did for myself, then I went ahead and exercised for 2 things. Get this eating back on track and I will definitely ROCK!! I did get my water in yesterday for 3 things. I know it is stretching it, however we have to take it where we can get it.

Holly - I would be interested in reading your school handbook. Email [email protected]. I don't have a puter at home and cannot access personal email here, so it may be a bit before I get to read it. I am sure it is great, like all the other things you apply yourself too!

Debbie - hope your world quits spinning so fast for you.

All the other rockin' ladies, where are you?? Please post, we miss you.

Have a wonderful weekend all.

((((HUGS)))) Annie

Pounding headache but an easy spirit.
I have this cold that DH and the kids have had but they are hacking and wheezing. Every cold I get goes deep into my sinuses so my head is about to explode.
Yesterday was awesome. I did not go to book club or to do my Grandma’s hair. It was difficult to say no to both. DH worked til 7 didn’t get home til 8 so we had chicken soup and grilled cheese in front of the tube. Both kids were in bed by 8.

I had 5 kids all day but they were relativley well behaved. I farted around on my computer just for fun.
I watched my soaps and rested. I stayed up to watch ER. I slept through the alarm and woke to a Mom knocking on the door. All 4 of us and the cat were sound asleep. Gotta love foggy fall mornings.Yikes.
DH’s has a great job right now. He freelances carpenter services. A lot of builders dont have steady houses lined up so if there is a few days break most guys will go find another job. This guy doesn’t have a house to start til Tues and he is paying Dh today and Monday to wait til Tues. WOW, a contractor with integrity and who appreciates my man!! Woohoo.Highly irregular but makes living with DH pleasant cause he is valued.
I will have my Avon booth at the farmers market tomorrow.Kinda excited. Going to do grandma’s hair in the aft and then hockey at 6. No church Sunday.Big event in another town and we are not going.
I have the cleaners coming again on Tues to fall clean the rest of the main floor. DH noticed it on the calendar and asked about it. I told him. He used to balk at me for getting help way back, so I stopped. He said, “oh good."Yippee! Gotta love a man who gets smarter every year.LOL!
I am irked by the Aunt once again. I only saw the family for 2 hours on Monday. It was enough to reinforced the limited contact. Too bad cause I love them so much. sigh.
My Mom must have mentioned, oh, 200 times that it was a short visit. I said,” better than no visit!” ,oh, 200 times.
Dad just rolled his eyes. Sis was okay. Nephew and my kids raced around for 2 hours. No time to fight.Great!!
The ridiculous aunt( I will remind that she is 62 going on 5) kept cuppng her hand around my sisters ear and wispering things to her. Made snotty digs about the turkey tetrazini I was going to make and killing my Grandma with it( I make frozen dinners for my Grandma every day and deliver when i do her hair). She also commented about how she HAS to go throught the meals I make to make sure thay are good enough. Hello??????? I was boiling but kept my mouth shut. Why oh why did I spend 40 years trying to get this #### to like me and be friends. Why did I believe all the negative bullshit she said about me and to me all this time. Between My Mom, sis and her it is amazing I didn’t throw in the towel long ago. And these are the people who were supposed to love me, nurture me and lift me up.
Why does my Dad put up with them. He is the “head” of the family. He hears it ,sees it, rolls his eyes, shakes his head but doesn’t stand up. It seems weak to me.I suppose he has to live with Mom but as for his sister........
I dont understand it.
It makes me thankful for my own husband and family. My former best friends think my husband is an *******....and can be. I love it. We are both strongwilled and outspoken. We both challenge each other all the time. No lack of backbone in this house. We are both willing to learn and grow and make changes.Thank God. Literally. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Our kids are strong this way too. Never dull anyhow. No complaceny or underhanded bullcrap in this house. It is wide open!! Lord knows it gets loud. We all make mistakes. At least we are “allowed” to. ARG!!
Off my emotional roller coaster. Releasing the irkedness. whooooosh.

Okay. I need to get cleaned up and putter.
HUGS!!!!

PS food has been abysmal the last 2 days. Better so far today.
Do ya think there is a link between binging on comfort food and seeing my family???

Hollyhock 10-14-2005 10:00 AM

Annie~ we cross posted. It is wordperfect11. Can you open it? I can put into something else but will lose the formatting and graphics.LOL. It is darn cute.

annie175 10-14-2005 01:29 PM

Hollie

I have Word 2000, if that helps. I can open it at the library.

Debbie 10-14-2005 07:08 PM

Good evening everyone,
TGIF, I just ate a ww meal and kicked back resting. I plan to do that the rest of the evening.
I've done good today on food. I ate a 6 pt ww meal at lunch and a applesauce. Dinner I had a 5pt meal and a can of spinach. Yes, the whole can. I think not having to cook at night is why I am starting to loose again.
I plan to go to curves in the am.
Things are still peaceful here. I love it when everyone acts civil towards each other.

Holly: Hope headache is better, you don't have time for the pain...LOL.
I hate you had problems again with your aunt. (((HUG)))

Annie: TOO COOL... You will like curves. Ours is like a little social club. I really enjoy it.

Susie: Did the donuts have sprinkles? I think I remember what they taste like...

Hollyhock 10-15-2005 07:45 PM

Bumping us up to page 1 again.

Good day, ong but happy. I did the farmers market in town for Avon this morning. I will do it every Sat from 9-12.
Went to do my grandma's hair & visit. She had ordered some stuff and usually writes me a cheque but wanted to pay cash cause the aunt had been going through her cheque book questioning anything written out to me. Egads. She laughed about it. It irks me of course.
Came home for a quick supper and Ds played hockey. They got creamed but they are playing better each game.
everyone one is in PJ's. time for bed fr me too. I still have a mild cold but killer headache.
I have no plans, not even church, tomorrow. I will do lots of housework and gardening. All the kids stuff is put away!!
Gonna cook a hearty fall meal of some sort.

Deb~ how was the R&R.
HUGS Annie, Susie, Penpal.

Hello All,
I think those of you who have raised kids deserve a medal for not killing them. The parent/teacher conference was a real eye opener. My nephew has this attitude going on. He has brought all his grades up to a C in the last two weeks. All of his teachers commented that they know he is smart it's just that he needs to focus his enegry. He sat in there with those teachers and was very respectful and came up with a game plan to focus on the rest of the school year. Then we left, went to his locker to get a few things and this DEMON overtook him! He was talking in such a negative way and he wouldn't get what he needed to out of the locker (his mother requested that he bring home some clothes and such that he had stashed in there). I finally, with my teeth gritted together and this hissing sound coming out of me, got across to him that he would do what he was told to do or I was going to kick his butt right then and there! He was mad at me when we left the school, but who cares. Someone needs to stand up to him and he did hug me before I left to go home. I've never been on such an emotional roller coaster! How the heck do you all do it?!

Today was my area TOPS rally. We had over 100 in attendance. It was our first regional rally. The theme was "Back to the 50's" and it was such a success. First of all we planned on having about 50 when we were first thinking about havingit. But the RSVP's were for 110 and we had 100 there.

We had constests where each chapter decorated themed centerpieces for the tables,a sock decorating contest, and a health fair board contest. My chapter one the sock and the centerpiece contest. There was also a best dressed contest for the theme. You should seen all those poodle skirts!

We had such a good time. We had a hula hoop contest, a twist contest and just a lot of fun! I was very proud of myself because at lunch we had a grilled chicken breast and I ate half of it! I don't like chicken but I know it's good for me, so I'm learning to eat it...I don't like being fat eithier so it's a trade off!

I'm working really hard for this coming Thursday's weigh-in.

I also took a step (or maybe a LEAP) of faith and accepted the Area Captain TOPS position. My DH and I had a talk about it and we decided that I am busy but I'mn so busy doing things that I have to do, I might as well as do something that I wantto do and I love TOPS and talking to people about it and I'm a natural organizer, so I'm going to give it a try. I think it will also help to keep me on track; I can't do that position and continue to be overweight.

One last thing that about the Rally. My chapter voted me the Chapter Angel. I thought that was so sweet of them.

Annie: My 3 things: I ate that chicken! I participated in the Twist Constest, the ChaCha contest, and I said no to Rootbeer this afternoon.

Debbie: Doughnuts with sprinkles...those are evil! I LOVE them...I'm not going to even think about them.

Holly: Enjoy your Sunday. I hope you find some time to rest...I sort of love rainy days every once in awhile; it's an excuse to just lay around.

See you all tomorrow.
Susie

Hollyhock 10-16-2005 11:20 AM

Susie~ re parenting. We drink lots of wine..... alone.... at night.Well, some days anyhow. It IS hard. Glad you like TOPS so much and you are doing something for yourself.

I slept in til 8, enjoyed my coffee ,had a long soak in the tub and then gave DS a haircut. he is now in the tub. DH is off tomorrow so he is going up north to spend the day and evening with friends. I hope like heck he gets at that bathroom tomorrow.
I have the kitchen cleaned, ready to wash the floor. There is a ton of tidying and filing and then dusting to do. I still feel pretty crappy so I am going slow and taking tea breaks. Maybe I will pee this cold outa me.
Hows' everyone doing? Girlie? Suzy?Spores? Jody? Judy? Helloooooooooo..........

MyChoice2bfit 10-16-2005 06:46 PM

Hello,
It's been a pretty laid back Sunday for me. Went to church and then came home did some laundry and then took at nap. I also just got back from the Y and a great workout. It took everything I had to get out from under that blanket and go, but I feel so good afterwards that I'm glad I did it.

It's about time to have some dinner. We are having meatloaf, and baked potatoes. I can smell it cooking and it smells so good.

After that I'll clean up the kitchen and then sit down to watch Desperate Housewifes.

I can't believe tomorrow is Monday again. Looking forward to getting this week in and over. My girlfriend and I are going out on Saturday night. We are going to the mall to the Sephora store, eating at the Cheesecake Factory and then hitting a club for some dancing. We try to get out and do this about 4 times a year; we don't get home until the wee hours of the morning and we feel like we are 20 again...until the next day...we don't recover as quick as when we were 20!

I'll see everyone tomorrow.

Susie

Holly: I hope that cold is gone...they can really drag on and get a person down.

Debbie 10-16-2005 08:11 PM

Hey guys'
I also had a laid back day. Dh and a friend went for a m/c ride and the friends wife and I went and bought her a furrbaby. She found a rat terrier "little girl".
Registered and all the shots for $50. The little puppy is so responsive. She is very smart.
We all had a big lunch afterwards. It was nice.
I slept late so I missed b-fast. I think I'm ok on points. I haven't figured them out yet.
After I cleaned the kithchen I just plan to watch movies...AAAHH!

Susie: I know these w-ends just fly by. Every 10 weeks dh gets a 4 day w-end. I really enjoy that.
Parenting! My youngest son really tested my sanity. I'm not sure how we both survived.
He still gives me grief but we get along ok most of the time. He and his dad are so much a like they a constantly at it over something. That hurts me.

Holly: Hi! They wine does help. Just a little to unwind.

Annie: Hi! :) Hope your w-end is good.

:grouphug:

MyChoice2bfit 10-17-2005 08:52 AM

Good morning Ladies,
I thought I better jump on here and get my mind in "On Plan" mode to start out the day.

I so wanted something sweet after dinner last night, but I had already had something sweet after lunch so I knew that I couldn't do that (to many sweets makes to much Susie!). I did have some mints so I sucked on a couple of them for a while and wrote in my journal why I wasn't allowing myself that something sweet and how not having it would someday soon result in my reward of smaller clothes, lower chloresteral. I had to do a lot of writing until I got past it but I got past it.

How's everyone else starting off?
Susie

Debbie 10-17-2005 06:38 PM

Good afternoon,
I ran a bunch of errands and ate at a pizza buffet at lunch. I did much better than before. Salad, with 2 sm slices of veggie, and 1 slice of spinach alfredo. I still need some work on selfcontrol...LOL
I went to curves this am and the new owner takes more time to make sure you are using the equipment correctly. I feel a little sore this afternoon, but thats good.

Holly: You must have very busy day, since you haven't posted yet. Hope you are feeling better.

Susie: Good job resisting the sweets. I only journal my food. I have trouble putting my thoughts to paper. I use ya'll for my journal. Glad ya"ll are here for me.

Annie: Hi, hope you are well. :)

:grouphug:

MyChoice2bfit 10-17-2005 09:51 PM

Hi,
Ladies, I need your help. I have to come up with an email address for a contact for my new Area Captain position for tops. I want something clever for the part before the @. Any ideas?

Thanks!
