Sorry the title looks goofy. I tried to bold it but it didn't work So, I'm an idiot

I watched "I am Sam" last night. Very good movie...very touching. Tonight will be "Chicago" then we're back to no movie channels.

What's for dinner tonight? We're having pork tenderloin.

Hi again!
Geri thanks for starting the new thread!! I'm not sure what I wil be having for dinner tonight. I'm going over to my DH's cousins house for the evening and we'll have dinner over there. If it is very high pts stuff (which it probably will be because she likes to fry alot and they don't eat veggies) then I'll nibble and eat when I get home. But I'm about to head out, today will be my very first tanning session!!! I'm so excited to start on my tan for summer. So I will post again before I go to bed, I hope everyone is having a great weekend, but I must say I can't wait until monday starts. TTYL!

Hi Ladies! Sounds like everyone has had a full weekend

I took the kiddos to a St. Patricks Day parade, McDonalds and a bday party yesterday. Then today they went w/ grandparents to a church party. So they had a full weekend.

I am very tired this weekend and have been off track
I will get back on in the morning. Weekends always screw me up

Have a great Sunday,
I'll check in later

Hey! Just a quickie. I am still suffering with this ear infection. I don't think I've been getting the rest I need. My cousin was in town this weekend so I spent the evening at my mom's and this morning we went to the meeting then tooled around downtown. It was a nice visit but I really should have been in bed!!! I haven't seen her since Sean was a baby though so I really needed to spend some time with her. We aren't very close due to the fact that we have never lived near each other (she used to live in MO but now lives in Jacksonville, FL). Anyhows, Andrea, so good to hear from you but I am so sorry about your credit woes! We had similar situation with our American Express back in 1999 when Hurricane Floyd came through. We were both new at our jobs and had to take a week off unpaid to escape the hurricane and it really messed us up. I ended up cancelling the card and switching the balance to another card. Hope you can figure some way out. Do you own your home? There might be some kind of loan you could get to consolidate and lower the interest. Also, I never went to college but I started out with a temp agency and got placed at a dr's office where I gained experience and was able to get a better job paying more but I know all that takes time that you really don't have right now. Just know we're thinking about you and hoping it all works out! Ginny, hope your hubby finds what he is looking for so you can get some peace!!! Geri, glad you enjoyed the cake and at least it wasn't the corner!!! I am not an icing girl myself so I alway opt for a middle piece and scrape off the icing! Penny, hope you get some rest!!! Sounds like you've been busy! Spryng, hope you have a good evening at your cousin's house! Your 6 week plan sounds good. I need something to jumpstart me after I get better. Maybe I'll try it too! Hi Ricci, Melinda and anybody else I missed! I'm gonna try and get some work done but will probably end up on the couch! At least my office is clean, that always makes it nicer to be in here! Hope we can all get back on plan tomorrow!!! Have a good evening!

Good morning.
Sounds like everyone had a good weekend. Geri thanks for starting the new thread.
Saturday, dh took us to golden corral for breakfast, and I actually did pretty well. I had a veggie omelet, and then fruit. I probraly ruined it though with the butter pecan frozen yougurt. It was so good though. We went shopping at walmart, and dh did not throw a fit about the whole wheat spaghetti, or the brown rice. We'll see if he actually eats it though.
I was wondering if any of your kids got the prevnar vaccine when they were younger. It helps keep the occurance of ear infections down. Those of you with older kids probraly didn't, because its only a few years old. Both of my boys got it, and it was wonderful. I think they each only had one ear infection since.
I did get in my pilates yesterday. I went to church fo the first time in about a year. I have been looking for a church to go to, and the ones I went to before just didn't seem right. Well, this one seems right, so I think I will go back next week. Cute kid story: They have children's church here, and before the kids leave, the pastor gives them a kid sermon, with a ventriliquist (sp?) dummy. I was sitting on the very back row, and Eric went down front to listen. Suddenly, when only the pastor was talking, Eric comes flying down the aisle and yelling, "Mom, he has a puppet!" and then ran back up there. Everyone got a good laugh from that. I hope every one has a good day.

Good morning all!
Ricci, I don't know if my kids got that vaccine or not, I don't think they did though. I've never heard of it. But it sounds like a great thing! That is so cute about your son and the puppet That is a great way to get kids involved. I do that also when I want to talk to my kids about something important like morals and such... I will set up my dd dollhouse and use her dolls and put them in the situation I need resolved or to talk about and let me kids tell me what should happen and what is the right solution, it really works out well with them and I think because it was visual and something they can relatre to they understand things better at their young ages.
Candy, so glad you got to spend some time with your cousin! And I hope you get some rest today so that ear will finally clear up. And I think it is great that you want to do that 6 week challenge with me. I won't start it until april 9th though. So it gives us a few more weeks to get ready for it.
Penny, sounds like your weekend was busy! I hope you are able to get back OP today.
I enjoyed my visit at dh's cousins house last night. We went and tanned first and that was a new experiance for me. I only did it for 5 min because I didn't want to burn and mostly nude (just wore a thong) sorry if TMI, but I was so scared of burning! I got in the bed and when I closed it over me I got really nervous as it heating up and all that. But after about 4 minutes I finally relaxed and then before I knew it time was up. But I am already starting to tan so maybe I tan easier than I thought. But anyway, then we went to her house and I really enjoyed being there. I haven't interacted with another adult in about 3 weeks!! Well since Dh was in last. So I was feeling very isolated and lonely and it cured that feeling fast. It felt so nice to chat with someone face to face. Not that I don't love chatting with all of you because I'd go crazy if it wasn't for you all lol, you ladies are the best. But she made fried chicken for dinner, mashed potatoes and gravy (full of butter and milk) and mac and cheese, also full of butter and milk so I had a little bit of each one and thought I did fine until she made everyone banana splits for desserts, I caved and ate one so I guess we all had a rough weekend OP, lol. But that is why I love mondays!! I think if we all get some extra exercise in this week we will be just fine despite going off plan some this weekend. I have to be really good the rest of the week because Dh comes home on friday and I always eat bad when he is in, so I have to start this week good to get a good WI. So I'm focused again.
What is everyone having for dinner tonight? I'm thinking of tacos or something like that.
Well I have alot planned today, I have to start cleaning out my laundry area because we are putting up the wall this weekend, right now our laundry room is open to our kitchen and I want to close it off and make it it's own room so we will do that this weekend. And the kids rooms need to be cleaned, their beds stripped and washed, etc. So I will be busy trying to get as much of this done as possible today. So I'll talk with you all later!! Have a great monday!

Good morning!
I am glad that this weekend is over.....not that it was an awful one, but I need some time to myself.

Geri- thanks for starting the new thread. And glad you and Will enjoyed that cake! Sometimes ya just gotta do that..... How was the pork tenderloin? Oh, and yes I was a child bride...........ahem............well, I ain't no spring chicken anymore!

Candy-I am so sorry that your ear is not improving. A few years ago, Dh had a similar problem, with an ear that would just not get better- he ended up in an ENT's office (ear-nose- throat) who had just the medication to treat it. On top of the antibiotic pills, the ENT put Dh on antibiotic ear drops- which after weeks of pain, cured him. Just an idea- I feel so bad for you.

Ricci- if you have not had the ww pasta, it really does not taste much different. The brown rice is another story- but I like the taste better. Funny story from your church yesterday- kids can be so funny. About Prevnar- Dh works for the company that makes it......and I used to work in the dept that fills the product into vials. Currently, there is a national shortage of Prevnar, and the pediatricians are only giving it to high risk patients and the first 2 doses (supposed to be 4 doses). My Dd is too old for the stuff- most doses are given before the age of 3 (I think). But it is a good vaccine- especially in preventing some of the illnesses that can cause serious injury to kids- meningitis etc...... And believe me, I did ask the pediatrician about it when I took Dd in- I knew all the background info, but am not up on all the latest, so I thought I would ask. Sounds like you had a nice breakfast too!

Andrea- sorry about your financial woes......I do not have much advice for dealing with the credit card companies. You might want to check out a web site- Crownministries.org (I think!). It is a Christian financial planning group- they do sell stuff, but also offer lots and lots of stuff for free. No, they will not preach to you......or get in your face. I used to listen to their radio show about finances, which was excellent. Anyway, there is a consumer credit bureau or something like that- that can help intercede with credit companies. Of course it helps that you have been paying all along and are not delinquent.
As far as jobs go- well, I have no idea what your interests are and can only speak for here in NY. I became a bus driver- because it fits my kids schedule- summers off etc...... I have a pension plan- some benefits (vision care, dental) and if I took a route with more hours could have major medical.
The district trained me for free- although I was not paid until I passed my liscence. Starting wage- again here in NY was $14/hour- and I am now making a few dollars more than that per hour. No, it is not for everyone, and your family is young. But an idea, and also a very family friendly job. I will pray for you....

Penny- weekends mess me up too!!!!!! Hope you get back on track.

Spryng- how did you fare eating last night????? Hope you were able to avoid all the bad stuff!!!!!! Did you enjoy the tanning session?

Well, I got a short walk in this am. Probably another one after dinner- before the 4-8 inches of snow we are supposed to get tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will this winter ever end??????????? Gotta go get the last load of wash out...... Have a great day!

Good morning ladies!

Ginny, winter never ends when you live up north! Luckily, we have been getting rain rather than snow so it hasn't been too bad. Of course everytime I look out the windows I see the leaves and sticks and everything that was under the snow and I want to get out there...but it's too cold to take Tony out and let him crawl around. At least it's starting to stay lighter later so soon I will get out after Dh gets home from work or on the weekends.
The pork tenderloin was yummy. I just cooked it in a pan with onions and seasoned it with pepper and garlic, but it was good.

Spryng, glad you got some adult interaction. I would go crazy without it. When I get off of here I'm going to go get a new cell phone plan with nationwide long distance so maybe we can really chat sometime. My mom wants a phone so I'll get some type of family plan also so we can share the bill. Glad Dh is coming in on Friday...maybe working on the wall will help you stay OP while he is home! My laundry room doesn't have a door that closes either. I keep hinting to Dh that it's too loud so maybe someday we will have a door! I would even settle for a nice bi-fold.

That reminds me...I started painting fish on my bathroom wall yesterday...so if I ever finish it I'll get those pics posted

Ginny, love the church story! I have been avoiding going because Tony's too antsy at this point and Will just doesn't like to sit. They have a mother's room but the kids just run around so I don't see the point..they don't learn how to behave in church that way. Don't sweat the dessert...at least it was frozen yogurt and not custard!!

Candy, I agree with Ginny...maybe you should go to the ENT specialist. I really hope you start feeling better soon. I don't know how you managed to visit this weekend.

Penny...it's Monday...a new week...I know you can get back OP
Glad you had a good weekend.

Hi Andrea & Melind and anyone else out there. Gotta do a couple more things and head out for some errands.

TTYL!! Oh yes, got my 3 mile walk in this morning thanks to my good boys and my friend Leslie!! And tonight is WI

Taking a breather for a sec.... this cleaning is real work, lol!
Geri, you can call me anytime! I use a cell phone too and it's all free after 9 pm central and I am always up so if you are ever bored at night give me a call!! I'm just going to post my number here for everyone because I don't mind any of you calling me (620-224-9601) hey, it may help those late night munchies!! I'm going to take some before and after photos of the laundry room too so you all can see what it looks like. I don't know when I will get to paint it. If DH works hard and gets it done saturday then I may get to paint the new wall sunday!! I really hope so. But if not, I'll probably go ahead and buy the paint and work on it after the kids go to bed during the week. I can't wait to see your bathroom!
Ginny I haven't tried the wheat pasta either. Is it lower in pts than the white? I'm assuming it probably is. If it doesn't taste much different than I should start buying it. I love brown rice though. That is all I eat. I can't believe you are going to get more snow! I would be very upset if it snowed here again. Today it is raining and then suppose to warm up all week and be nice. I hope so.
Well, I guess I should get back to laundry. When I lived in oklahoma my friend and I had laundry day parties. We would get all of our dirty laundry and take it to either her house or mine and wash, dry and fold together while we chatted, watched a movie and had a good time. It made laundry seem like fun instead of the chore it is, lol. Anyone want to come over for a laundry party?? lol. TTYL!

Spryng - What a good idea to have a lanudry party? My friends are not as much as a crazed clean and neat freak as me, so they probably go weeks without doing laundry. I think I am down to every other day, so not as bad as daily.

Ginny - Great story about church. My dh and I met at church. I went at 830 and he at 1100 so we did not meet up until 10 years later. Since we have been married we have been going to 1100, but JW is making us start 830 again.

Andera - Are you able to get unemployment for awhile until you get back on your feet? I have a couple of friends that do home shows on the side for extra money. Just some thoughts. I will be thinking of you and your family.

Penny - I am with you on the weekend, but I am a new person today. Had a 830 butts, ab, legs class. I am going to stay on program this week.

Geri - Hope weigh in treats you good today.

Have a Happy Monday. I am glad it is a new week too.

Melinda

Hi!
Just aquick hello---first of all, Ricci was the one with the cute church story. I got to church myself, but nothing funny happened.

Melinda- glad you could check in and say hello.

Spryng- happy cleaning!!!! Cant wait to see the pictures of the new laundry room.

Geri- want some snow????? But it is nice to get the longer days, as we have here too.
Good job getting that walk in.

Just got back from the Dr- and they are reducing my dosage of blood pressure meds, because my BP was so low!!! I am excited......maybe that will help inspire me to stay really OP- especially this PMS this week. Guess all the workouts and points counting are doing something good. On a bad note........as soon as I walked in the door, got a call from school that Ds ( if he lives till 15) got into a bit of trouble.....nothing awful but disrespectful- and refused to obey 3 requests to get into study hall........I am not a happy camper.......and he just lost the computer for a month. Hehehehehe.
Oh, well.....gotta go back to work. See ya later.

Hi again!
Got this in my email and thought I would share it:

A WOMAN'S (REAL) PRAYER:
Now I lay me
Down to sleep.
I pray the Lord
My shape to keep.
Please no wrinkles
Please no bags
And please lift my butt
Before it sags.
Please no age spots
Please no gray
And as for my belly,
Please take it away.
Please keep me healthy
Please keep me young,
And thank you Dear Lord
For all that you've done.

Five tips for a woman...
1. It is important that a man helps you around the house and has a job.
2. It is important that a man makes you laugh.
3. It is important to find a man you can count on and doesn't lie to you.
4. It is important that a man loves you and spoils you.
5. It is important that these four men don't know each other.

Foot Note:
One saggy boob said to the other saggy boob: "If we don't get some support
soon, people will think we're nuts."

Ginny that is fantastic news about your BP!!!!! A great NSV!! Sorry to hear about your ds, hope things get resolved.
Melinda, great job on getting to the gym! You really make me wish there was one with daycare around here. I would love to workout at a gym.
Well, I have yet to start folding clothes. I did get my kitchen spotless though and some straightening up done in the laundry area. I'll work on it more later. I got to the chat room late ( at about 2:25) and no one was there. Did anyone chat today?
Well , guess I will get off here and start getting dinner going. TTYL!

Ginny, do I detect a note of glee about the loss of the computer? Does that mean you don't have to worry about contracting any virus' for at least a month??? Sorry to hear about the trouble though. I really am dreading the teenage years!!!

Spryng, the renovating sounds exciting!!! It is always nice to have a little change and that sounds like it will really add a lot to the house!

Melinda, wow! Congrats on the early workout!!! For someone with a baby you sure get out and about early! I don't think I ever got up before 10am!!!

Geri, can't wait to see the fishies!!! Hope WI goes well tonight!

Ricci, hope you can get your dh eating the wheat stuff! Mine doesn't mind the brown rice but he is not hip to the ww pasta. I have gotten him eating much healthier lately though I can't speak for when I am not around. The pig pickin was this weekend and I am sure he consumed enough meat to feed a small country! Ugh!!!

I am still down with this ear ache. I called the dr and they scheduled an appt with ENT on Wednesday. I am hoping I will be better by then though! I just scheduled a weekend trip to Florida next month so I have really got to get on the stick and get in shape!!!! We are going to go to Sea World. The kids LOVE animals and I just think they would really enjoy Sea World and if we go before Kylie turns 3 we don't have to pay for her. Sounds cheap but that will save us $45!!! Can you believe that? Anyhows, I am excited but really need to get rid of this ear infection so I can get back to exercising. They have a couple pools and a mini-water park at the hotel/resort we will be staying at. It is one of those deals where you take a 90 minute tour and you get a good deal. We will get 2 adult tickets to Sea World ($54.00 a piece) plus 4days/3nights at the hotel which is located inside the resort and we get free access to all the resort ammenities for only $169.00. I am really excited. We don't have a lot of money for vacation this year with building the house (and since I refuse to run up my credit!) so it should be a nice time for a modest amount. The tour of the resort is only 90 minutes and we can do it as early as 8am so we will have all day Friday and Saturday to do Sea World and whatever else.

Ok, enough about that! Hope everyone is having a great day. I might work for a bit since I've found my way to the computer. TTYL!!!
