Thursday Night

Hi Ladies

I'm getting things together here since we'll be away until late on Saturday night. My 'baby' turns 21 on Saturday and wants to go to Shreveport. UGH! So DAD was so willing to say "let's go!!!" So we'll leave at 5pm, get there around 8 or 9 (probably 9 with the Dallas rush hour traffic) and then have dinner.....Chris will be walking in legally at midnight.....can you believe that this is his birthday wish, to be in the casino at midnight????? :?: Anyway.......

CJ ~ Happy belated Anniversary girl. I'm so, so sorry for missing it. I am so bad about looking at the website but will try to make an extra effort to do so from now on, I promise......are anniversaries on there???? And don't worry about that little gain.....next week, it will be gone PLUS some more.

Sherry ~ yes, I love your images. I have no earthly idea how y'all do it....I'm such a dummy with this computer thingy. So, where DO you get those things???

Hi to everyone else....hope you are all having a great night....have a wonderful Friday and Saturday and I'll be back Sunday. Hopefully, heavy, rather than lighter.

Kelster 03-22-2001 09:41 PM

Helloooooo......

Sorry haven't been around much.........but got a dreaded sinus infection....that pretty much knocked me off my feet....today has really been the first day I can stay in the upright position without getting light headed and flopping over.........soon it will be gone......I HOPE......

as for the eating thing....I am one of those when I am sick.........I can't even think about food........I don't want to hear smell it taste it...nuttin......and I know that is just as bad as eating too much.......my daughter was sooooo sweet though.....Mom do you need anything Mom can I get you something from the store........she is a good kid.......and she did make me eat........she knows that if she makes me something I will attempt......S......so how I have done this week.....I have no Idea......but like I said I am feeling better.....and should be back to my stunning self......L.....

Hope everyone is doing well

CH 03-22-2001 10:19 PM

CJ 1/2 lb. could be that last glass of water you drank or something not digested. Don't worry about a half pound. Remember this time we are going to win. It will take some time. You are doing great! I myself worked to long today and when I got home I grabbed whatever I could find. Therefore I am over my points for today. But I will be better tomorrow. This thread is very hard for me to figure out or I'm awful stupid one of the two. I couldn't find us tonight until I extended my search to the last 5 days instead of just today. Did that make sense? Anyhow be good to yourself and in a day or two that 1/2 pound will be gone.

Zoe Zoe I'm always curious about your "son of Texas" I'm sure you've explained it before but I missed it. Would you do it again?

Kelster I'm glad you're feeling better. I feel the same way when I am sick but I sure do recover fast when it's over.

Well I'm having my grandbaby this week-end and my daughter (my baby) home to celebrate her 22 birthday, so I may not get back until Sun. or Mon. Everyone have a safe and on plan week-end. Love Carolyn

angel-eyes 03-23-2001 08:05 AM

sorry....plum forgot.....

Hi Ladies....I can't believe I forgot to check in and post my stats!!!....well thats a first, I say...just plum forgot. I usually do it wed pm...but took a day of R&R and I guess it really was...lol
But I'm glad to say that I've lost another 4 lbs...hard work and sweat I tell ya'. Hope everyone is geared up for the weekend, they're predicting more snow (can't believe it...must be true, I'm looking out my window and can't even see too far across the fields...UGH!!!)
Stay on plan and be strong! I'm going to play catch up on everyone's posts over the last few days...we are a bunch of busy ladies...bye

ginabob 03-23-2001 10:21 AM

Hey gals,
Just had to brag a little bit. My newest nephew was born last night - Skylar Lane. Skylar arrived at 7:17 last night. He is 9 lbs 6 oz and was 22 inches long. His proud Aunt Gina just happened to be right outside the door when he was born and got to hear his first little cry.
:) Pretty cool to hold a newborn again. Sure makes me want one of my own though! Better get over that quick.
Also I weighed in this morning. I am now at 231. Which from 244 at my first weigh in brings me to 13 total lbs so far! Woohoo! Of course I am still 13 lbs away from where I was a YEAR ago and 60 lbs from my goal weight. . .but let's not get negative.

CJ - BRAT! Sorry about the allergies and the fact that you didn't win any $$ maybe next time. I sure wish Allergy season could just pass us all by. I am already tired of being sniffly.

Zoe - I didn't know you lived in Dallas! I lived there for two years. I still miss it. I even miss the traffic sometimes. I hope you have fun in Shreveport!

Gotta run now. Looks like it will be a crazy day. I probably won't check in again until Monday. I'm going to go see a hockey game in Tulsa with a bunch of single guys. . . :)
Go me!

Love you guys
Gina

Gail 03-23-2001 11:32 AM

Good Morning to Everyone! :D How are you all doing this morning?

I see Ms. CJ has been busy again. Go CJ!!! A belated Happy Anniversary to you and Dick. Hope you have many, many happy years together. Can't wait to see the bracelet - what a romantic gift.

Sharon, thank you so much for the encouragement. I really needed it. Been having such a hard time getting onplan lately. But, yesterday was a good one, so thanks again for helping me along. :)

Ch - WAY TO GO GIRL!!!!!!!! You are doing so terrific! Lucky you having Rachel for the weekend and your daughter as well. Have a wonderful time - and I know you will.

Gina, Congratulations on your new nephew. So very nice that you were there for his birth. That's really special. Have fun at the hockey game and have a good weekend.

Angel, what a thrill to lose 4 lbs. You are doing great! Hearing about your snow makes me feel guilty for complaining about having to do yard work this weekend. Our weather here on the West Coast is heavenly. The lawn needs mowing and everything needs cleaning up, so I guess that will be what we are doing this weekend.

Kelster, sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. Let's hope your suffering has a bright side and you have a good loss, although, when you are feeling better, everything will taste twice as good. It's great that you lose your appetite though - I never lose mine. On my death bed, I will probably want just one more piece of cake. :o

Zoe, I remember when my baby turned 21 too. They do grow up so fast - and now he is getting married in May. Lately, it seems, time is flying. Is it just me, or is that how it goes? Hope that you have a wonderful time at the Casino and a terrific weekend too.

Sherry, I love your images. I have tried to post some, but they don't print out. Only once did it work. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Will have to take some time and experiment a bit. Glad to hear that your brother and aunt have improved. Must have something to do with all the TLC from you.

Katie, are you still out there? You have been on my mind the last couple of days. Hope all is well with you - I miss you.

To all of you, hope your weekend is just great. Will try to pop in, but if not, see you on Monday. Hugs to everyone. G

Trish 03-23-2001 03:50 PM

Hi! :)

I only worked a half day today so I have some time to post a message. I'm glad to say my back is feeling better. My husband and I vistied 9 wineries during the last two weekends. We tasted and bought lots of wine and got some recipes for the delicious foods they served with them. Not low fat!

I also am a fan of Survivor. Alicia made a big mistake when she jumped off that post in the middle of the water. If she had gotten immunity, her tribe would have been in control, but now they are the ones getting kicked off.

CJ, brat! Happy anniversary!

Gina, congratulations on your new nephew.

Kelster, hope you are feeling better soon.

CH, it sounds like you have a busy weekend planned with your daughter and granchild. Have fun!

Jo, sorry to hear about your divorce problems. I hope your ex comes to his senses soon.

My husband has a conference in Orlando next week, and "partners" have been invited, so I'm taking a vacation and going with him. It should be nice. It's being held in a very nice 4 star hotel, and I plan to relax by the pool and catch up on my reading. We also plan to go to Sea World and Disney's Animal Kingdom when the conference is over.

I still have some packing to do before we leave on Sunday, so I'd better get busy! I'll try to check in again before we leave. Have a great weekend!

Trish :)

Kelster 03-23-2001 10:05 PM

Thanks Ladies....I am feeling much much better today...:)

Gail........you are soooooooo right.....had a sandwich today you would swear I had never had one before......it was sooooooo good.......L

Well ladies the weather was beautiful today but they say it will be cold this weekend.....YUCK.....but I am sure in no time the temps will just keep climbing......

Everyone have a Fabulous weekend....

MK 03-24-2001 12:14 AM

Hi everyone! I got to thinking,(see the smoke) lol, I haven't really lost a whole lot of weight since I started here. Well, I guess I have lost about 20 lbs. But that was awhile back. But here is the thing, I check in here when I can and listen to all of you talking about the weight you have lost and start to feel sorry for my self. That is really stupid of me!:( If I want to lose weight, I will just have to get myself on the ball. I have NOT gained any in at least 4 months, so I will be happy with that. You have all helped me to keep from gaining. Now I just have to lose a little more so you can help me keep that off too. I can do it!

My son has moved back home. There were problems with the couple he was living with, not with him but them . He came home and they got back together again. Now he can save for a car.:)

My husband had a echo cardio gram done. They found out he has a defect that he was born with tha shows up later inlife. One of the areas of his heart has a thickening of the lining. This is what some of these athelets die instantly from. He is in no danger now. They changed his blood pressure med and he goes back in a month. This is a condition that is not caused by BP or colesterol and anything you do. The worst case senereo is that one day he may start blacking out. They will then have to go in and scrap some of the lining off so he can have proper blood flow. This is hereditary.

Gina: Congrats on your nephew. I know he is handsome!:)

CJ: Happy belated Anniversary too. Hope it was wonderful.

Well, it is late and I have a long day at work tomarrow. Talk to everyone later. Mary Kay

angel-eyes 03-24-2001 08:26 AM

Its the weekend!!!

Hi Ladies, what a long week. I'm soooo looking forward to todayand tommorow. We take the boys to see "Disney on Ice-Beauty and the Beast"-can't wait!! We've been to other performances....and spectacular.
Got the munchies a little last night while watching the pairs skating, ate a little Lays ultra low fat chips....not too bad really..(sort of like a pressed together chip though), they are baked not fried..anyone try them?
Other than that little munchie-fest, I've been staying on plan...I now weight 204!!!ta da...I even put a skirt on that fits now after 8 yrs!!!Now I know what you're thinking...what the heck was she keeping clothes that are 8 yrs old? right...well don't we all have fat and skinny clothes hanging around? well...finally I fit into them again..and there's lots more stored too. Since having my son 7yrs ago...I haven't fit into any of my old clothes...so here's to "before kids clothes" yipee!!!

Gail- I've been meaning to ask 3 questions to you.Crocuses??Grass?? Yardwork???---not fair!! Where is Abbotsford? Last nov, dh surprized me by flying me to Toffino,BC for my 40th birthday. Had a lovely time...stayed at the Wiccaninnish Inn for 3 fabulous days and then went back to Vancouver for a day. And you'd think we would leisurely sleep in (as we were kid free) but we were up at 6 am to see the sunrises every morning....Mike took some fabulous pictures!(his hobby)

Ginabob- Congratulations on a new nephew. Be sure to give him extra hugs! Also wtg on your weight loss!

Trish-Your hubby's conference sounds really rough! Great that you can tag along...some R&R sure sounds
good right about now!! My husband also goes there for conferences every year but spouse are not allowed, boo hoo.

Sassy- Also been meaning to tell you how cute those happy face angels are...I LOVE THEM. ~~sigh~~ sure wish I knew how to do those.....hint,hint....

Phew...along one...but it had been awhile. Have a GREAT WEEKEND everyone. Stay on plan and be strong!!!bye

Gail 03-24-2001 03:20 PM

Hi Guys! :D

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. I am taking a break - been working all morning. The weather isn't quite as nice as it was yesterday, but still pretty good. They said it may rain this afternoon, but doesn't look like it yet. Anyways, the grass is cut, the Christmas lights are finally down and put away and now Ken is working in the flower gardens. He said he will putter around out there for awhile. I have had it myself for today. Will work inside now.

Angel, Abbotsford is one of the outlying suburbs of Vancouver. We are about 35 minutes from the ocean and close to the mountains. We love it here - country living but close to the city too. Glad to hear you enjoyed Tofino. Very beautiful on Vancouver Island. Can't beat the climate out here. :smug: You are doing so great! What a wonderful feeling to be able to get into clothes that you've had hanging in your closet for so long. That is so inspiring.

Kelster, great that you are feeling better. I laughed at your remark about the sandwich. Isn't that just the truth.

MaryK, nice to hear that you are still around and you're doing well too. You sound so happy to have your son back home with you. I'm sorry to hear about your husband's health problem. It's lucky that they have diagnosed it and can keep a watchful eye on him now. Hope you will post more often. We have missed you.

Trish, enjoy your wonderful vacation - sounds dreamy. Take care and have a really good time.

Well, guess I had better get the lead out and get back at it. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Talk to you soon. Love, G

Gail 03-26-2001 11:07 AM

Come out, come out, wherever you are!

Hey, where is everybody? :D

Well, I had a bad weekend foodwise and felt pretty low this morning until I gave myself a really good talking to - tried for a BUTTKICK, but have a sore back from all the work I did this weekend.

Seriously, this has been a very low period for me and I have to get myself back on track for more than one day. One day at a time is great, but I need a few in a row to get the ball rolling. Do you ever have times like that where you just can't get going?

Thanks Sharon for being such a good buddy and pushing me along. I really needed that. You are an angel. For sure!

So I am recommitting today! I will do this - I have to do this!

I'm glad this place is here to come to. You guys are my lifeline right now. I know you're out there whether you're posting or not. So come on everyone, let's SPRING into action. :D

You all have a good day now. Love, G :D

Kelster 03-26-2001 08:07 PM

Gail.....

I do understand.....ever since I became sick last week...and not being able to eat.......I feel I have fallen into a slump......sigh......I think some of the problem is I feel sooooo overwhelmed at work.......and it keeps snowing........yikes......but I like you........have to find the determination that brought me to where I am.........and I know it is in there......as I know you have it to..........and I also agree 100%......this is a fabulous place to come to.........

I know you can do it.......You Are Worth it!!!

Sherry 03-26-2001 08:12 PM

Hello Friends...

Sorry I didn't get to post this weekend.I was so busy running around getting things done and spending time with my Mom.

Over the weekend I did something VERY GOOD!!! I stopped putting "all that" sugar in my tea! I figured if I didn't comsume that much sugar,I would lose weight more.I started using Sweet-N-Low! I'm STILL trying to get use to the taste.Someone told me today that I might like Splenda .Going to find it at the store and try it.I'm proud of myself because I love my tea!! I'm not a soft drink (soda...to some) person at all.Could live without them. Here in the south...we call all "sodas" COKE...no matter what kind it is!! LOL...

Gail,
YES!! I know how u feel!! I guess we ALL have those days!:( But you know what???? Push all those no-no's :nono: out of your mind..and start back fresh! In order to survive this weight loss thing, I guess we all have to have those days! I guess the main thing is to get right back on track!! RIGHT?? I KNOW you can do this!! Since nicer weather is getting here...we can all take those nice walks!! Hang in there girl and when you're down...POST!! We'll try to make you smile OR even laugh!!:D Luv ya!!!

Now for all who asked or e-mailed me wanting to know how to do the images......Here goes.....

These are called "art clips".Just go to the web and type art clips in the box.Once you find one that you like....hold your mouse on the picture and click the right side. Then when a menu pops up....click "save as picture". Then after you post.....hit the "browse" button at the end of your post...then click the images you want.Thats all.....it will show up after you hit Submit.

If none of this sounds right or if I don't make sense, e-mail me @ [email protected] I will help you!:)

Better go...Oh By the way..My first day back at work from having Spring break went fine.I didn't have trouble at all waking up after sleeping in late all last week!! hehe:spin:

More later..
Sherry (Sher-Bear)

CH 03-26-2001 09:10 PM

Well it's Monday again, don't they come fast. They happen much faster than Fridays do. It's turned cold here, temp tonight supposed to be 18, that is just to cold for Spring. Somebody talk to the Weatherman!

angel-eyes ~ I love the Disney on Ice shows. The skaters make it look so easy. And I think munchies are required. It's not unusual to have clothes that are 8 years old (not for me anyhow) But hurrah for you to be able to fit into them. That's a goal not many people reach.

ginabob ~ Congrats on your new nephew! I love babies! When I retire I want to go to the hospital and rock babies! Skylar is not a little baby to start out with. How lucky he is to have a doting aunt. How many nephews do you have? I have one and he is special, I got to go thru childbirth with his mother, my sister. Of course that makes him partly mine. You're doing great with your weight. I know you feel better! Keep going girl!

Gail ~ I am jealous of you doing yardwork. We are not to that point here yet. One day is nice the next is to cold. Of course that's typical Ky weather! Don't worry about lousy week-end, you will pick yourself up and go forward. You can do it! I have faith in you. We've come a long way and we're not stopping now. Right? Hope to hear positive news about you real soon.

Trish ~ Next time I feel a need for wine I will know where to go. Glad your back is better. Backs are a tricky thing. There doesn't seem to be anything to cure it, mine just comes and goes. I know what the Dr. would say to me but I'm not listening. I do believe the first thing they learn in Med Schoo is "lose weight". And you are right I had a great time with my baby (22 yr) and my grandbaby (15 months) but I sure am tired today. Hope your trip to Orlando is great!

Kester ~ I know the feeling about sandwiches. Actually I am bad about sandwiches. My favorite here is a veggie grinder. It's my reward to myself occasionally.

MK ~ We all feel sorry for ourselves occasionally. It's a very normal feeling but you are right, we are here for each other. Never doubt that. Just show up and we will try to boost your spirit. Trying to keep that constant willpower going isn't easy but is very rewarding when we accomplish it! Stay with us! It's hard having a kid move back home but it says great things about you and your husband when your kids want to come back. You must be doing something right. Hope your husband has good luck with his heart condition. Keep us posted.

CJ ~ I am sending you an e-mail, looking for a new recipe. Hope your week-end went well. Sorry I missed your anniversary. I know it went well and you both had a great time. Later.

South Pacific is on TV and is calling my name. Everyone have a great week and I will check back soon.
Love, Carolyn

Regency919 03-26-2001 10:28 PM

Hi Ladies...

Boy do I need a cigarette :smoking: (and to think I quit back in October).... I can only blame myself its taken me 50 minutes to get this far..... I was still getting a message that the forum was closed and should be up on Monday.... duh.... then it took forever to find you guys.... but if I had been posting like I should have been I wouldn't have had these problems, right?

I am doing good..... well about as good as can be expected under the circumstances..... I guess. As Joanna may have told you I was sick a few weeks back and had to call "Da Mama" to come to Michigan to take care of me..... :o You might ask yourself why a 45 year old woman had to call her mom to come and take care of her? Well... I wondered too.... I had a severe sinus infection, my throat was almost swollen closed... and I had a temp of 102 and 103 that stayed with me for 5 full days.... when I get sick... I do it up right... I was scared because of the fever and called mom in the middle of the night to come here... and she did that very next day.... and stayed until the fever finally broke for good... I missed nearly two weeks of work.... (no big loss there.... hehe).

During this time I found out that I am diabetic, (I am taking medication in pill form for this, twice a day) I have high cholesterol (224), trying to get it down by diet right now..... and I've gone for an EMG which is an electro milogram.... (not sure about the spelling.... I am a legal secretary not a medical secretary.... hehe)..... the EMG showed that I have mild neuropathy... which is mild nerve damage in both of my feet and legs.... emmmmm.... I am 45, over weight, high blood pressure, holding water, diabetic, nerve damage in both legs.... and let's see, what other meds do I take? Dang I feel like damaged goods.... and this is what I have to look forward to? Gee I can't wait until I turn 50.... I do have a new doctor and she is really good.... I am so glad that I found her.... she knows her stuff thats for sure..... I have to go for blood work every month to check the sugar and the cholesterol..... and I have a mammogram due on April 5th.... keeping my fingers crossed on that one, since I have to go every 6 months... and my aunt (my mom's twin was just diagnosed with breast cancer). Things will start looking up now that I know what I am working with and feeling better, not just complaining about not feeling well.

Other than that I am doing great.... I have a new assignment at work.... alot of changes were made a couple of weeks ago. I used to work for two attorneys, and now..... I am assigned to one attorney and he is a sweetheart of a guy.... I worked for him before when I had two.... the executives decided to take away my female attorney and leave me with Jim.... and what a relief that has been.... but I don't have enough work to keep myself busy.... thats the only drawback.... I do like to keep busy.... but not stressed..... and I am certainly not stressed thats for sure..... these decisions were all made before I was sick and found out my medical news so that had nothing to do with the changes... someone just decided to give me a break I guess.

I have done good in losing weight... its not dropping off in 5's and 10's but it is coming off.... my scales show me at 297... under that 300 mark!!!! I finally made the 10% at Weight Watchers and received my key ring that I have worked so hard to get.... hehe.... the weight watchers scale show me at 302.... so I am going to take another 10% (in my head) and do 10% at a time.... I am already 1 pound into my next 10%, good start eh? All my clothes are way to big because I am still wearing clothes that I wore when I weighed in at 369 so, I do have all new clothes I just have to hem the slacks and press everything.... what a chore and I have been putting that off for so long.... will get on that soon....

I hope everyone is doing good.... I am sorry to say that I don't have time to catch up on the postings... but will make an honest effort to read them from now on.... I seem to get side tracked don't I? There are some days I don't turn the computer on.... Joanna has even had to call me because I haven't answered her e-mails or called her... or that I haven't posted.... she said that everyone was asking about me... I do appreciate everyone..... there are alot of positive things that are happening in my life and I need to thrive on those and not think so much on the bad things.... good things being, my house is done, things are great at work, I am debt free, except house payment and utilities... (I just refinanced.... and paid everything off.... hehe) and am thinking about buying a new vehicle which I haven't had a "nice" new vehicle in 16 years or so.... the last new vehicle I had was my 1986 pickup truck which had no air, no carpet, standard shift.... you get the picture.... just a truck..... hehe.... so things are going good for me.... well..... I had better close for now.... I hope everyone is doing fine.... take care... and I'll be back tomorrow... I promise....

Love.... Carolyn

Gail 03-26-2001 10:37 PM

Hi Guys!

It's so nice to come here and find some posts. I checked in a few times through the day, but there wasn't anyone around. It was a difficult day to get through, but I did it so far - so good, anyways.

Carolyn, so good to hear from you. Your weekend sounds great. The little one is hard to keep up with, isn't she? Their energy seems endless. Thank you for your words of encouragement. Really need it right now. You're right. We have been through a lot these past couple of years and we are going to make it!

Sherry, thank you too for your kind words. Great for you giving up sugar in your tea. I'm sure that was no easy thing to do. Regarding the images, I have been doing it right, but it never comes out in my post. Can't figure out why, but will keep trying. Thanks for your good advice.

Hi Kel, glad to hear that you're feeling better. Yes, I do have to get tough with myself again. As soon as I get a wishy washy attitude, my program goes to he**. I hope some nicer weather will soon come your way. You must be getting awfully tired of snow.

Hope you all are having a good evening. Talk to you soon. Love, G

Gail 03-26-2001 10:39 PM

IT WORKED! Thanks Sherry.

Sherry 03-26-2001 10:50 PM

GREAT GAIL.....I knew you could do it!!!:D

Gail 03-26-2001 10:53 PM

Hi Regency, we must have been posting at the same time. Sorry to have missed you.

Glad to hear that you are recovered from your illness. That must have been a very nasty sinus infection - maybe one of those superbugs they talk about. It's so nice that you have found a doctor that you like. Makes such a difference. Now they have a handle on your health problems and they can be dealt with.

Congratulations on your weight loss. You are really going in the right direction. Way to go! :D

Enjoy your lightened work load - probably a really nice break for you. You must be thrilled that your house is finally finished. It sure took a long time. Bet it feels great having that all behind you.

Keep up the good work that you are doing. I'm sure every bit of weight loss you have will really improve your health. Post often. We missed you. Love, G:)

Gail 03-26-2001 10:56 PM

LOL Sherry!

SandiH 03-27-2001 10:05 AM

Good Morning Everyone,
Didn't want you all to think I fell off the face of the earth. But I have been very busy. Worked 6 full days in a row. That's not easy when you are used to only 3 days. I give every person here that works full time so much credit to be able to do it and also run a household. I imagine you learn a few short cut tricks along the way. Well I am off to do some wash and then to the gym, which I have lissed lots too. I will come back later when time permits and address everyone. Love to all....Sandi

ginabob 03-27-2001 10:54 AM

Hey Everyone!
I sure hope everyone had a great weekend. I sure did. The hockey game was interesting. I'm definitely not a fan but it was a neat experience. Getting to be around some new people was nice too. Even if they kept calling me the "baby" of the group. I can't believe I am 24 and someone is still calling me the "baby" other than my mom. These were folks from the older group of singles at my church though so there were only 2 of us under 30. :P
There is a picture of my nephew on the net at www.sparks.org Click on the internet babies link and then go to "it's a boy" "Skyler Lane M" I am going to try and put his picture at the end of this post but it may not work like I want it to!

Trish - Sorry you are having back problems. BUT I am glad that you are feeling better. It is amazing how much of your life is altered when your back hurts. I hope you have fun in Orlando.
Mary Kay - Sure glad that they cought your husband's heart troubles now. Don't feel discouraged. Not gaining is an accomplishment too!!!!
Gail - I have had many times when I feel like I can't get the ball rolling. I sure wish there was some magic advice I could give to you. What I have done is made out a list of reasons why I am loosing weight (zipping my pants without laying on the bed :) , running without loosing my breath, wearing shorts and bathing suits) You get the picture. I also try and keep pictures in front of me of what I want to look like. Seems to get my butt moving when I don't want to. Just an idea.
Sherry - Giving up sugar is a hard thing to do. You get used to the tast of those artificial sweeteners after a while. I can't put real sugar in my tea anymore. It just overwhelms me now. And I grew up in the South where sugared tea is queen and a coke is anything with carbonation!!!
Carolyn - I have 3 nephews and one more little one on the way. Hoping for a girl with the next one. I have an overwhelming desire to buy frilly pink things!!! Sure enough the first thing I hear when I complain about my back is lose weight. Part of my problem comes from being a little shall we say "top heavy" in the first place. It runs in my family. Did you enjoy South Pacific? I really couldn't watch most of it. I love the original too much.

Well girls I gotta run. Work is calling me back. Waiting on my computer to chug on some of these reports takes HOURS!!

A big howdy to all those I didn't mention by name. :)

Love
Gina

What a Cutie!

Hi! Good Morning and Happy Tuesday to you all!!! :D

Gina, he is an adorable little angel. Thanks for posting the picture. I loved being able to see what the little one looks like. He is very lucky to have such a doting Aunt as you are. You are sure to enjoy watching all your nephews grow up. Yes, it would be nice too if the next one is a little girl. Thank you for the encouragement. Sometimes it feels like it will never come together but I guess the secret to success is not to give up trying. My determination feels stronger today, so it is growing. Pretty soon that other part of me will take over and start giving the orders. It's like having a split personality - Good Gail  Bad Gail  Time for the good one to take over again.

Sandi, so glad to hear from you. I was wondering what you've been doing. Working 6 days in a row is a lot when you're not used to it. Brings back memories of my working days. Kind of glad they are behind me, but I do miss the $. Great that you are back. I missed you. :D

Sharon, so wonderful to get your email. Thanks Buddy for all the encouragement. Don't think I could do it without you. I said it before and I'll say it again. You are an angel.

Well, I'd better go and get dressed. It is only 8am here, but I have lots to do today. Got to run out and get some veggies - running low. You all have a good day. Talk to you soon. Love, G

Buon Giorno Bellas!

I hope you are all doing well. Wow, I like the new look of the forum! I just hope it doesn't crash all the time:nono:

Yes, I am back from three GLORIOUS weeks in Italy! :D What an amazing experience:love: I did manage to lose about 10 pounds (even with all the eating I did)...I tell you, I should move there! Actually, it's from walking around all day for 20 days. Yes, it's true ... Exercise is the key to weight loss.

I just "popped" in to say hello and to check in. I do have quite a bit of work waiting for me, so I will give full details of my trip in a later post.

Missed all of you!

Ciao!

Hi Everyone......

I'm back just like I promised...... hehe.... today was a good day.... woke up 3 pounds lighter than a couple of days ago.... but its probably water weight... but as long as I can keep it that way until weigh in on Thursday afternoon.... it seems if I keep it off for a couple of days it has a tendency to stay off.... keeping my fingers crossed as I like to make the Weight Watchers weigh in official... the weigh in at home varies so often but it seems to keep me in line.....

There is a lady in my Weight Watchers that is a big woman like me and she lost 40 pounds right away as I struggled with my lose 2 pounds gain 4, lose 3 gain 1 routine.... she quit coming to the meetings as she gained all the 40 pounds back..... :( how sad.... she was doing so well...... now she has to start all over again... even though I struggled so, I've managed to keep off the 30+ pounds that I have lost ..... its hard, I'll be the first one to admit that.... I would like to make that great big mark and weigh in under the 300 mark.... now that would be a great day.... I've done it at home now just doing it at Weight Watchers!!!!!! :D

Gail Thanks for the encouragement.... I miss posting but sometimes I just don't have the guts to do it... although it seems to keep me in line a bit too..... thanks again.

Well..... its almost bedtime and another day at the office..... so I will say goodnight and everyone be good....

Love Carolyn

Good morning everyone. I know I have been scarce but with good reason … getting my stuff together for our accountant to do our taxes! And, am not too happy this week. Have sad news … my daughter-in-law who was expecting in October has lost her baby. I am feeling so bad for them … So, am sorry that I am not feeling like chatting this morning …. I should address a lot of you, and I promise I will soon, so please forgive me if I don’t now.

But, I do notice that this is the #29 post .. so I guess once a brat always a brat, so I will start the next thread …. And, I promise, I will be back soon to address you all!

Love to all!
CJ
