Well! That was an ordeal. It just took me about 20 minutes to sign on to the chat site. I guess it's my own fault when I don't sign on very often. I will just have to smarten up and sign on more often that I have been.
Dessiree - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That baby is finaly here. Way to go. Send pics...
I finally decided last week that it was time to get with the WW weight loss program again. Soooo, that's just what I did. I have been quite strict with myself and lost 5 lb. last week. Just another 18 to go before Christmas. From where I stand, it really looks insurmountable, but I am determined to do it.
There are 3 other ladies at work that decided to start WW on the same day that I did. We didn't talk to each other about it, just happened to come up at coffee break. What a great support, just outside the door to my office. We have also arranged to go power walking at the track 3 times each week. The campus that we work at has an indoor track, so it is really handy to get to.
Sylvia - Way to go on the weight loss. You need to keep that niece for a while longer...seems to be contributing to keeping the weight loss on the downward trend. However, there is a cost to that with no sleep. Keep up the great work and hope that your life settles down a bit soon.
CJ - You and I must be a very, very lot alike. I finished my Christmas shopping last summer, have most of it wrapped and have several gifts bought for next year. I think I have my daughter's gifts purchased for the next 5 years.

I still pick up stocking stuffers - at the dollar store - and will need to make a stocking for our son's girlfriend.
Our son moved back home from Winnipeg and brought his girlfriend with him. The house is full once again, to the point that we haven't got enough room to do anything. But, of course, we are still renovating. We gutted a bedroom/en suite a few weeks ago and will probably be back to painting the drywall this weekend. I will need to lay the ceramic tile in the bathroom after that, then have hubby install the bathroom fixtures. Then the only thing left is carpet in the bedroom, doors, baseboards/ window molding, curtains, refinishing the furniture for the room, installing mirrors, towel holders and toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom and then sitting down for a cup of coffee.
Last weekend I had the brilliant idea that I would make the curtains for the living room. I had some really nice silk that would go very well in the room. I decided that I would take Monday off, so the 4 days would let me make the drapes, upholster cornices for the windows, sew some cushions for the sofas, reupholster the dining room chairs. and perhaps finish some valances and upholstery work in another room.
Well....I never did so much work in all my life. I spent 14 hours each day and I still have about 20 hours of hand sewing on the living room curtains. After that, I will still need to sew in the lining and finish the pleats. But, they really do look nice.
Our son's girlfriend asked me when we were going to start to decorate for Christmas. Well, I said, that would be about the beginning of December. She was a bit surprised, then inquired about how many trees we would be putting up. Well, I said, that would be about 12 or 13 - I've lost count. I also have my puppy pics for Christmas that I will post in December. They turned out really well considering the youngest puppy is still wiggly and out of control.
I think that I have rattled on just about long enough. Time to say good-bye. Have a great weight loss week everyone. Take care.
