Okay, Kayecee I was wondering what the heck you were talking about. Thought maybe I missed something somewhere. I went to the bios as I saw BandAid and saw Skew.

Anyway, a big WELCOME to Skew and Bandaid (Alexandria)! Gald to have you ladies aboard and look forward to getting to know you.

Have a good one ladies! :)

Hi ladies,

Welcome to BandAid & Skew!

Marti - the really sad thing is that all these diet gurus are laughing all the way to the bank! I betcha if the Jaded Ladies got together, we could write a diet book! I could do a chapter on finding motivation, you could do the exercise chapter, Kaycee could do recipes, Angie could do a chapter on looking good while losing, Cristi could do one on goal rewards, etc. Now all we need is a publicist! :D

Cristi - do you and your family get together on holidays?

Angie - can your SIL get you a discount at Pier 1? I love that store!

Kaycee - don't you just hate it when you lose a post??? Wow! What a cool way to paint my toenails! I think I'll try that out afterwhile. :D

Hi to the others....

Talk to you tomorrow.
Jana

Thanks for the welcome! :)

Hello and Welcome to Skew and Bandaid.

Kayecee-- you had me rolling today!! I never even thought of that way to paint the toe nails!! Of coarse, I would have never been able to do it...way to small. But I can stick stuff on my back shelf!! (you know the shelf that appears when the butt get's to big!) I used to tell my friends at work that if they needed to put anything away,,, I got a place for it.:D

Angie--Box of crayons??!!! You ladies had me peeing my pants after reading all this! As I just said,,, I could probably have stashed those crayons on the back shelf!

Jana--I like the idea of writing a book. You have it all down just the way it should be. Now,,,, somebody find that publicist!! I'm in a "Team Building Skills" class and our intructor is having us get into groups of 6 and for our final grade, we have to find something that could possibly make money... and present it to the rest of the class. First day I was like... what the @#!!
But now that we're at week 5... we've got our topic and we have all the info. and are pretty much ready to put it together and present it. We chose to make a informational News Letter for people who have been in prison for some amount of time and are having a difficult time getting back into society because of their background. Sounds crazy doesn't it? I was a bit leery on the whole thing, but one of the girls in the group actually found a place that wants our NewLetter. I was impressed. We'll see how it all goes by the 11th week.

Well, I think I need to go find something to make for dinner.

Hi to Cristi--Natalie--Skew--Bandaid and the rest of the girls!!

You all take.

Marti

Hey Y'all!

Welcome Bandaid! (Uhhhhh..... can't find anything to rhyme with that! :dizzy: ) Hope you'll keep joining us. Hey to Natalie, Beenie, and Skew too. (Can't help myself)

Angie Drat it all- I had a wedding experience similar to that. Unfortunately, not only the bride, but all of the other bridesmaids were like size 3 and under! I had just had my baby boy and was at a size 18 or so too. I was so schizo doing all of the fittings and my hormones were still off kilter. I managed to keep my dress size a secret- barely- the saleswomen were not very helpful in that department. I was sooo freaked out that when one asked me for a shoe size in front of all those itty bitty skeletons and they all popped out with things like 5 or 6, I was a deer in the headlights. I was not gonna admit that this big cow :moo: with all of the post pregancy blubber wore a size 10 shoe at the time and I blurted out 8 1/2 which is what I wore BEFORE 9 months of pregnancy. Talk about the Queen of Denial. I know that everyone in that church watched me dancing around near the bride and wondered, "Why on earth didn't she go pee before marching down the aisle!" :o I just thank God Almighty that we don't dance at the reception around here.

Cristi Sorry, I figured that everyone would see Skew's name on the bio thread, but I didn't realize that Bandaid would post later. :D I am still fanning myself over the 5 kids. My nerves are sooo bad with just my 2 screaming at each other. Remind me not to drink the water around your family. Y'all sound... uhhhh... fertile. LOL

Jana Let's write our diet book right after we do our Extreme Makeover- that way we'll have really good before and after pictures. We can say something like Eat dirt and pick your nose every day for 10 days and you will be magically transformed just like us. The weight just melts off! We're living proof that our diet works! I bet we'll sell a billion copies. We can even include a special chapter on "The Joys of Duct Tape" at no extra charge. Oh, and girls, before the photo shoot, please make sure that you paint your toenails and clear off all the shelves! :snooty:

Marti Newsletter for people who have been in prison for some amount of time, huh? That reminds me- you are NOT in charge of generating publicity ideas for our new book. Actually, as weird as that sounds, I'll bet there is a market out there for that. Now that I have thought about it, I bet it would do pretty good. Do you actually have to follow through and do it for your class? Or do you just have to come up with an idea?

Well, as usual, I have had fun! Night all!

Kayecee 10-29-2003 12:26 AM

Hey Bandaid! I'm 10 days older than you! I was born on May 5th. So mind your elder, and come back soon! :p

Marti 10-29-2003 12:37 AM

Hello again everyone-

Just popped in for a minute. Kayecee.... you share the same Birthday as James!! Cinco De Mayo babies. What a way to celebrate. Our friends from one of our jobs (yes, James and I worked together at two different companies---met him at the first one) would tell James that they were going to celebrate his birthday and they always told him to join.

Ok.... that's it for tonight. Have to get up early.

 nighty night!!

Kayecee: Yes, m'am. LOL Glad my parents taught me manners. ;)

I think the newsletter is a good idea for prisoners who are transitioning from life on the inside back to society. The recidivism rate is extremely high because most inmates don't know how to function on the outside after being locked up and revert to past behaviors- but then there are those bad eggs that there is just no help and are comfortable in their own hierarchy of prison life. Sad, but true.

Good luck on BTW. :)
