chit chat #11
Welcome everyone,
We are a group of ladies who support each other through all of life's ups & downs, not just weight loss. Won't you join us? Angie |
Good morning everyone!
Jana, a close friend of mine had a daughter who needed that done. This poor kid had so many eye infections, and after the procedure had never had one since. Shoulder hurts, came home feeling really tight,,,then it moved onto throbbing,,,YAY for Advil. I took a nap and woke up to pain,,,took more advil and it did the trick. It still feels like I did a major workout yesterday. Today I plan to go to get a trim, I colored my hair last week. Then foun dout that my cousin (awesome hair stylist) is coming for the weekend, hairshow. Ive got a long shopping list for her to get me,,,so cheap. So after the trim I have plans of banishing the bunnies. finishing the laundry, bathrooms, and possibly vaccuuming. I went to buy the Dr. Phil book but none to be found,,,popular guy.....lol anywho thats about all thats happing here. Angie |
Evening ladies-
Well, I've been in school for four days already and it's so overwhelming. I'm only taking 12credits (4classes) and I'm wondering if I'm going to do ok. Accounting is getting me. I can get everything to come out equally, but how in the world do they find balances for certain questions??? I am so confused right now. I just had to put the book up and say... enough already!!! Been doing pretty good being OP. I've actually started eating breakfast again after months of not eating it. It was a difficult thing to do, but since I'm getting up early to go to school, I figured I'd better do it. Brain needs energy!! So that is my challenge on one of the other threads. Sounds like everyone is getting their hair done. Someday I would like to add some kind of highlights to camoflauge the gray that's in my hair. But so far, I've been too lazy. Someday though. Well, I believe I will go figure out what's for dinner. Take care ladies. Marti |
You know, hair must be in the air, because I've been thinking about some colour. I decided not to, because I want the silver to grow out nicely, and instead opted for a nice barrette and some good conditioner.
I can relate about classes--I am innundated with work and though I've been on top of it thus far, am terrified of missing a deadline because I got my 20 different projects confused. :) At this point, they are all blending together in my mind. |
Ok your all going to laugh at me,,,,but I did color my hair this week, infact I even colored the bathroom door with some red squiggles as proof....lol My cousin the hairstylist is coming tomorrow for the weekend, shes got some hair show and I just called to ask her to bring some color highlights for me,,,well somehow we got talking and shes bringing goldsm carmels, and some funky reds,,,,WAHOOO Im going funky again....lol
I am totally exhausted right now. I went and got my hair cut,,,looking short but cute...lol Then came home and cleaned for hourse,,,I have vaccuuming, one load of laundry left, and to dust a shelf,,,,not bad. DH and I went car shopping,,,his car is on its last wheel (leg) so checked out a Matrix,,,cool car. If nothing goes wrong (knock on wood) we are going to go for that one this weekend. Anywho better run,,,survivor and csi is on.... Angie |
Hi ladies,
Angie - good luck with the highlights! I think they really add something. Guess your bathroom door needed a new look, too, huh? :D Marti - I think the accounting will all start coming together for you - could you go get help? As the wife of a college professor, I know that most of them would much rather you stop by and get help. Hopefully the prof is not one of those pompous types that don't like to be bothered. Putting the book down for a while was a smart choice on your part. :cp: YAY for you eating breakfast again! Makes you feel good, doesn't it? Kat - I wish I had the guts to just let my gray grow out and admire you for doing so. What kind of conditioner do you use? I've been using Tresomme since it doesn't build up but am always looking for new products to try. Well, Macy's doc postponed the eye procedure since she has a double ear infection, so here I am! Mary and the twins and I are going grocery shopping in a little while. Then this afternoon, the big high school in town is having a homecoming parade so we're going to that. I can't wait to see how the girls like the bands. Have a good Friday! Jana |
Hello ladies
Well I did my paperwork for my job this morning,,,Im so excited! So much to learn and do. I have two days of meetings on Monday then Wed orientation. Im off the 9th and 10th for my surgery then Im working till who knows how long....lol They asked if I could do the hiring for all the part time workers, and asked if I know anything about computers since they don't. Brandon and I had a huge fight this morning, felt so bad but boy was I steamed. I had been asking him for 3 days to pick up his stuff hes got laying around the living room,,,yesterday during my worldwind cleaning I picked it up and placed everything on the kitchen table,,,he freaked,,,I freaked and it just got worse from there. We settled it hours later but I really am fed up with having to give 2-3 days notice to have him take HIS stuff and put it away. grrrrrrrrr Well I should get going, still have to vacuumm..... Angie |
Hi ladies,
Angie - your new job sounds so exciting! Teenagers! Katie is such a slob, too. I get so tired of telling her the same thing over and over about her stuff. A big hello to everyone else. Today I am going to be helping my son with his camper. He just bought a used one, and everything needs washed. I told him I'd do the curtains and he can wash down the walls and cabinets. It is supposed to be about 70 today, so that will be nice. Today is my son-in-law's birthday so we're invited to their house for dinner. I offered to take a vegetable casserole, but DD Mary is doing the rest of the cooking. Yay! Have a good weekend, and I'll talk to you later. Jana |
Good morning ladies-
Today is a gloomy day, but it's not raining....yet. James and I have plans to go to the one of the farms in the country either today or tomorrow... they have a 'corn maze' out there and it sounds like fun to try and walk through them. I take my daughter out there every year to the pumpkin patch. We ride on the hay ride and go search for a nice pumpkin. (she always manages to find a "huge" one for me to carry back!!) Started that tradition four years ago. I take a picture of her sitting on a pumpkin every year, and it always fun to look back and see how much she has grown. The holidays are just around the corner... I can't believe it!! I never get anything done early... I always say I will, but have yet to do it. Maybe this year will be the one!! Well, I hope all are doing well today. I'm going to hop in the shower and get my day started. Take Care Marti |
comfy!!
Evening ladies-
Went shopping today and I have got to say if you can... go get jeans that are "just below the waist" they fit so nicely!! Not those hip huggers or low waist or whatever they're called... the "just below" I don't feel like I'm being cut in half!! And my waist doesn't hang out!! How wonderful is that????  Just had to share that you with you all!! Take care Marti |
Hi ladies,
Marti - the corn maze and hay ride sounds so fun! Seems like you and your DD have lots of fun, too. Guess everyone is having a busy weekend. I have to admit I will be ready to get back to my weekday routine in the morning. I've been reading Dr. Phil's new book and made a startling discovery about myself - I thought I was mainly an emotional eater and after taking the questionaires, have found that I am mainly a habitual eater. I felt like smacking myself on the forehead and saying "DUH!" once I thought about it! But I truly hadn't catagorized myself that way! He offers suggestions to overcome it too. For me, it's a whole new angle to consider. I just know that the overeating has got to stop! I am miserable with it. Talk to you tomorrow! Jana |
Hello everyone
What a weekend, my cousin came down for a couple of days and since shes here for a hair show,,,she practised on me. I now have 4 different colors in my hair, deep red, bright red, carmel, and white. With my hair style it actually looks pretty cute. Anyways better run, first day of work,,,I am so nervous. BTW,,,Marti, we used to do the corn maze in our home town,,,,just love that,,even thou I would get lost,,I have a great sense of direction,,,everywhere but in there....lol Angie |
I am tired,,,,OMG there is so much to learn,,,,why did I sign myself up for this? Typing with one eye open.....lol
Then I had a band meeting, then went on and on....arghhhh plus Tanner's theatre stuff,,,which he LOVES! ok its worth his smile. ttfn Angie |
Evening ladies-
Well today I wasn't very productive. I went to classes then I came home and took a two hour nap!! I couldn't believe 2hrs. went by!! I must have been really tired. Today James and I have been with each other for 5yrs. And earlier today, he went to go get some dinner. He came back with groceries and I started getting stuff to cook. Once I started, I came to the office here and did some homework and he came in with me to chat...I thought nothing of it. When I finished, I went to the kitchen to grab my water bottle and what did I see??? A bouquet of wild flowers and a beautiful card!! I couldn't believe it! He went to town, but apparently, he left the flowers in the truck until he was ready!! I cried. It was so sweet and romantic. I can't imagine what our anniversaries will be like after we're married!! He just made my day complete. He makes it complete everyday!!! Looky here, I'm gushing!!:o I just had to share that. Well, I'm going to spend more time with my sweetie... take care Marti |
Marti
that is sweet,,,tell James I said so! As for the nap, Im thinking that you probably needed it. I can go for days with my normal regualr sleep 8 hours a night and then there will be a night where I will sleep for like 12 hours. Well my meetings are over and now my first day at a store is today. We are opening our store on the 29th,,,,I am so over whelmed with everything,.,,,,arghhhh My surgery is tomorrow,,,yes Im nervous. But Id raither take this chance. Anywho better get to work. ttfn Angie |
Hello ladies,
Angie - good luck with your surgery tomorrow! I'll keep you in my prayers. You will have time to heal before the store opens, right? Marti - awww, James is a sweetie! Happy anniversay, and I wish you both many, many more! Neal brought home flowers for no reason not long ago, and as he was getting out of the car with them, son-in-law Dale pulled up at his own house, which is very very close to ours. So after Neal came in and gave me the flowers and we talked a few minutes, he said he had to go tell Dale that he (Neal) wasn't in trouble or anything. I laughed when he got out the door! He was afraid Dale was snickering over "make up" flowers! Men are worse than women! I have been spending lots of time with Mary while Dale has been at work. The baby was due yesterday, and she is nervous. So I've been trying to take her mind off of it. She has been having contractions for awhile now, but nothing too serious yet. The baby is down so low that Mary walks funny. TTFN, Jana |
Hello ladies-
Well I took my test in accounting today and I know I did terrible. For one, I didn't study to much, if at all. Too much going on in my life on top of school. My timing for going to school is really bad. Last time I went I was pregnant with Jhanai, and she was all that I concentrated on! Oh well, I'll study for the next one. Have any of you heard of that show called "Extreme Makeover"? I watched it for the first time last week and I was amazed at the transformation. So I had to get on-line and look at the photo gallories of the ones I missed. OMG!!! I was shocked. They are all totally different people!! They looked wonderful!! I don't know if I could go through ALL of those surgeries at once. But the end results sure were amazing. I can't even imagine changing myself so drastically as these people did. One woman looked 20yrs. younger! Talk about a self-esteem builder. I would like to have some lipo done on these thighs of mine and maybe a little off the tummy. But I don't see myself going in for that. (unless it was for free!!:D ) Angie- I will be thinking good thoughts for you tomorrow on your surgery. I'm sorry, but I forgot what it was that your getting surgery on. Or did you not mention it? Hope you heal fast!! Jana- Baby not here yet eh? She'll be here by tonight! I can just feel it!! I hope the labor goes smoothly for her. My sister video tapes hers and she had me watch it.... it seemed like it lasted forever... poor thing. My labors both, lasted 2hrs.from start to finish. So it was very quick. I hope your daughters is the same way! well I better get some dinner. My tummy is growling. I hope everyone has a good night. And I hope to hear from more of us sometime soon. I think we've lost a couple!:( take care Marti |
Good evening ladies,
Feeling good, had the surgery this morning and came throu with flying colors,,,wishing I had this down years ago. Came out of sleep wanting a burger....lol Poor Mary.....tell her to go for a walk...and for her and Dale to ummm spend some ALONE time....which is a great way to bring on labour.... Marti,,,,so next test you kick it,,,,I just told Tanner who failed his math test miserably today that the great part of failing your FIRST test is you know what your having trouble in and work on that. Ive got tomorrow off then Im back at work,,,even working our Thanksgiving day...wich sucks. We are going to do the dinner on Wed when Im off and Monte gets off early. Anywho better get to bed,,,and I need a hit of Motrin...lol Angie |
Hi ladies....long time no see!
Ive been a busy girl once again. Ive been working on getting the house and yard ready for winter. What happened to summer? We had a few hot days, then BAM.....its cold again. Not that Im complaining. I LOVE fall. The trees here are starting to change, and look so pretty. My poor hubby re-injured his back, so Ive been taking care of him. He was bed ridden for three days. The doctor has him whacked out on 3 different kinds of pain pills and muscle relaxers. It scares me to death when he drives the car. He's already had back surgery once, about 10 years ago, and we're hoping that it doesnt come down to that again. Speaking of surgery...Angie,,, how did it go? I hope that your not in too much pain, and that everything was successful, and you'll be feeling healed soon! Hows the new job? Are you enjoying management? I was a store manager of a 20,000 sq ft furniture store in Toronto, with 30 employees. The funny thing was that I was one of the youngest people there. I dont think that I would ever want to manage again. I was a professional babysitter, as well as a punching bag for upper management. But Im not bitter...LOL Sorry....dont mean to scare you! I hope everything goes great for you! Jana....has the baby arrived? You need to get a digital camera so we can see!!!! Hows Mary doing? I hope labor wasnt too hard for her. So this is a little sister for the twins right? Are they all ready to be big sisters? Marti...Happy Anniversary! What a sweetie James is. Are you engaged? Im sure you told us somewhere, but I have forgetten. When are you getting married? Good men are so hard to find, and he sounds like a keeper. Extreme makeover fascinates me and repulses me at the same time. I'll have to go take a peek at the site and see the changes. Ive become an Ebay and Amazon-aholic. Ive cleaned the house and garage out, sold a bunch of clothes and made enough for two trips to Hawaii! Well it looks like im not the only one whos been missing. Hi to everyone else lurking around! Hope everything is good in your part of the world! Michelle |
Hi Michelle,
I feel pretty good, considering. The pain feels like menstral cramps. A little motrin and Im ok. I did over do it today and had to lay down for a bit. I stopped at the store today and bought a couple of shirts for work,,,paid 35 bucks for a really nice top and sweater and bracelet,,,cheap! Im going to be so fashionable... Even my hair is fashionable right now,,,its all the colors of fall. I was reading a mag this after noon and saw a really cool contest,,,can't enter cause Im Canadian,,,but thought you guys could... check out www.lifetimemag.com you could win a month of pampering. Mancure each week, cleaning service, flowers, a gym membership and a movie with the popcorn and drinks. Well I better run ,,,ha ha ha I mean walk ttfn Angie |
She's here!!! Caylin was born last night and weighed in at 7 lbs. 4 oz. and was 21 1/2 " long. She a cutie and looks like her daddy. And is sweet as can be. The delivery was easy according to Mary, and all is well. They have to stay for 48 hours and will be home tomorrow evening.
Marti - I haven't seen the Extreme Makeover show, but could use a lot of things done! I don't have many wrinkles yet, but am getting an old lady neck that drives me nuts! Can you do anything to make up for the bad grade on your test? Angie - glad things are working out for you. I had to laugh when I read your post, because their "alone time" is what brought on her labor! Hope you aren't in too much pain! Michelle - Hope your DH's back is feeling better. Neal was hospitalized with his a few years ago, and I know what big babies men are when they are in pain. The baby's pic will be at the local hospitals web site in a couple of days, and then I will give you guys the link. Yes, this baby is a little sis to the twins. They got to see her just a few minutes after she was born, and were amazed with her and the site of all of them together brought me to tears. Well, I'll be busy with the twins while Dale is at the hospital with Mary. I am worn out from all the stress of yesterday - although the birth went fine, all kinds of things run through your mind at the time. The house needs cleaned but I don't see that happening today, lol. Take care and I'll talk to you tomorrow. Jana |
Congrats Grandma! I could just imagine getting teary seeing all your grandbabies together,,,,
I have hardly any pain,,,more or less what Mary is feeling now too. But what I am is overwhelmed with all that I have to learn in this store...OMG its nuts! And I can't stop buying new clothes...so far, 2 shirts 2 pants, tights and a bracelet. And I have my eye on a few other things...geesh! Anyways better get to bed, tomorrow is our Thanksgiving, and feel so bad that I have to work, in fact DH has to too. So we are going to do the turkey thing on Wed. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who is celebrating. Angie |
Congratulations Jana-
You need to post some pictures!! Well, I got my test back in Acct. and I flunked it. But I'm determined to do much better on the next one. I will be meeting with some tutors to help me figure out what I'm not getting. I've been doing pretty good with being OP. For the most part anyway. I can't say that I've been perfect. My quantities are good, my choices are not. I will have to sit myself down and give myself a long lecture as to why I'm not concentrating on my eating like I want too. I think with all that's going on around here, I'm extremely stressed. But that shouldn't be any excuse. I'm always coming up with excuses and that has got to stop!!! My next weigh in is next Saturday. I hope to see something good going on there. Must work out!!!! Ok... I need to go study. Take Care Marti |
Hi ladies,
Angie - happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Have a good time! Will you be visiting with family? Marti - I think you will do better on the next act. test, especially with the help of a tutor. YAY for you doing pretty good with being OP. :cp: WHERE IS EVERYONE ELSE WHO CONSIDERS THEMSELVES A JADED LADY??? Come on, gals, lets don't let this thread dwindle down, okay? I have only a minute to say hi! Things are hectic but I took the day to go shopping since Dale is home with Mary today. There were sales everywhere, but I didn't find much that was on my list for Christmas. :( I just checked the hospital link, and they STILL don't have Caylin's pic on there yet, but I will let you know when it is up. TTFN, Jana |
Hello girls-
I thought I would pop in to see how you're all doing. Jana- how is that baby doing? It only seem not too long ago that I had my DD, and now she's 9!! Angie- How you doing? I went over some of the past post to see what it was that you had surgery for... didn't find it. Sounds like you're doing ok though...Glad for that. I got an e-mail from a friend the other day. Her mother had a heart attack last Thursday. Apparently she was having some pains of some kind and my friend just told her to get in the car because she was taking her to the hospital, and her mother was making a fuss. Well it turned out they had to do some surgery and her heart stopped during it!! If my friend hadn't been so persistant.......she's ok now, still in ICU, but she came out of it. Now she needs to change her lifestyle and get healthier. How scary that must have been. Makes you put things in a different light. Try to improve in our health to where we can lead a long and happy life you know what I mean? On to something more cheerful. Over the weekend my grandmother had some family over so me and my daughter went over there, (my daughter had never met these family members) and they were asking her what she wanted to be when she grew up. She blurted out "I'm going to be famous" ; Not I "want" to be, but "I'm GOING to be"...Then she tells of her plans to move to New York when she is out of school, she wants to act, write, and sing. I sat there with my mouth open thinking "WOW" Then she proceeds to talk about how she will live comfortably to where she can support me and James and her dad when we're older. Now how is that for an answer to a simple question???:D Now Jhanai never got that type of personality by watching me! I'm a shy, still not knowing what I want to do when I grow up, kind of gal!! But I am proud of her determination and drive she has at such a young age. She will definately do something important in her life,,, I can feel it. Ok ladies, I best be going. I feel the need to nap, but it's to late in the evening, if I were to lay down, I wouldn't get back up!! Take care Marti |
Here is the link for Caylin's picture: go to Web Babies, then click on Caylin Dale Paris.
http://www.gshvin.org/ She looks just like her daddy! Jana |
Hi ladies,
Marti - wow! You must be really proud of your daughter! She sounds like she knows what she wants and will get it for sure. It is sweet that she wants to take care of you and James when you get old. My kids will probably slap me in a nursing home ASAP, lol. I did it, ladies, I bought a digital camera. It is a Sony 3.2 pixal and I don't have a clue how to use it yet. I'm going to read the book while the batteries are charging. Any general advice? Our Walmart has the machine to take the smart card in and print pics at a real good price. I've been told that is cheaper than printing your own when you consider the price of ink and special paper. Do you agree? Anyway, wish me luck with it.... Better go. TTFN, Jana |
Woo Hoo!
I'M BAACCCKKKK!!! Hey everyone! I haven't posted in like 60 days! OMG- my puter died! There was no way I could replace it. Did I mention that I live on a teacher's salary? Nuf said! My sweet little BIL finally drove down and fixed the dang thing for me. :D Yipee!
Looks like I have missed a lot of excitement since I was out of commission. Congrats on the baby, Jana! I saw the picture and you have a cutie on your hands! I will have to get busy and read some of the posts that I have missed. I have been spending every weekend at our place in the hills. It's hunting season, you know. ;) DH hasn't been able to get a deer yet, but so far the guys have only been able to use crossbows. Muzzleloading starts this week, so maybe he will have better luck. I love venison. We are also getting a horse! :cb: Do any of you guys have one? Are they a lot of trouble? If so, this is gonna be DH's pet! lol I love horses and I have always wanted one. If the poor dear can hold me up, I may have buns of steel after a few months! :nose: K- maybe not! Well gonna get in bed now. See y'all later! |
Angie- what happened? Why did you have surgery?!? I hope you are doing o.k. I will remember you in my prayers. Night.
|
Welcome back Kayecee!!!
So glad to hear it was only a computer issue and that you yourself are ok!! We had a woman posting here that had a hurricane hit her area (she wasn't around when it happened) and she had planned to post when she got the chance, when she got back home. Haven't heard from her yet. So welcome back girl!! Jana- the baby is beautiful. Of coarse, I couldn't stop at just one picture, I had to look at more. They are so cuddly!! I think I should go into the field of working with babies..... just go in there and just hold them and cuddle!! I wish I could give you advice on the camera. I myself, am trying to figure out how to use mine. James has shown me what to do many times, but I don't use it enough to remember!! Ok, girls, I've got to get ready for school. Take Care Marti |
Congratulations Jana!!!!!!!
She is ADORABLE!!! Im sorry ladies, I dont have time to write alot right now. Ill be back tonight! Michelle |
Hi ladies,
Kaycee - OMG! Welcome back!!!! (I was worried about you - check back at the mid-to late August threads!) Anyway, so glad your computer is all better. Weekends in the hills sound so nice. We don;t have horses out here in the boonies, but some of our neighbors do. They require daily care and can get expensive, but are so much fun. Marti - I looked at all the sweet babies, too! Do you go to school everyday? So far I love the camera, and found out how to take and print pics but that's all. Elle - Thanks for the kind words about Caylin. New babies look kind of like aliens until they fill out a little! Even the smallest clothes are too big for her. My day has been spent so far goofing around withthe camera and trying to get pics sent to the baby's other grandma in Texas. Maybe I will just get a CD made at walmart since I know how to do that, lol. Be good! Jana |
Hi Ladies, I'm Baaaaack!
WOW, so much going on since last I posted, where to start?
CONGRATULATION'S Grandma Jana! Caylin is adorable! And what a pretty name. How do her big sisters like having a baby sister? WTG on getting the camera and have fun with it. Angie, glad to hear your surgery went well and HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and your family! Seems kind of odd saying that when ours is a little over a month away. I did a double take when I saw the mention of Thanksgiving. Also, CONGRAT'S on getting the job! OMG Kaycee! So very glad to see you back and that is was indeed just a computer problem. We definitely have missed you. Marti, sorry to hear about your friends mother, that is scary and it does make you think about things. Glad she pulled through and is fine. Your DD sounds very mature for 9, you must be so proud. I love her name Jhanai, such a pretty name. I know you will ace your next test. I always hated accounting and barely scraped by, so getting a tutor is a good idea. I almost had to take it last fall but they changed everything the second semester so I got away with that. I did take a business math class. Sending you some good vibes. :goodvibes: :goodvibes: Well, as for me between the allergies, the back going out and my shoulder and arm I haven't done so well as far as keeping up with the exercise. I gained a few pounds but think I have lost a pound or two this week. I am slowing getting back on track. Not a lot I can or want to do when I am feeling like crap. My arm and shoulder were actually fine till I went to the dr to get that darn shot, it has been hurting since. Anyway, my body got used to exercising, went from 5-6 days a week to almost nothing and it is aching from not exercising. I am better and once I go back and get that ibuprofin (sp?) I will be better, that and another trip to the chiro. Anyway :blah: :blah: :blah: I hope everyone has had a great day. DH took a day off from work today (a much needed break!) and we spent the whole day together. It was so nice. I can't remember the last time we did that. We had a date night once a week and I can't remember the last time we did that. Poor man works so hard. I better get off this thing before I get started again! I am going to see the babies again, they are all cuties! :bb: Take care ladies and HI to Kat, Carree and anyone else I missed. |
Hello girlies-
Jana- yes, I do go to school everyday. Two classes a day. Not too bad. Should be doing better than what I'm doing. But it's getting better. I got an A on my Business English Exam. And I'm feeling good about taking the Word 2000 exam tomorrow. It's just that Accounting class I worry about. I've already registered for next term. Looks more complicated than this!! :fr: Kayecee- How you doing? So glad to see you're back. Horses.... I've never owned a horse. My friend back in high school had one though, it was the first and last time I rode on one. We went bareback riding up her road, I was behind her since I had no idea what to do.... and the horse got spooked and started bucking... just a little.. and we started laughing and laughing... we couldn't stop and the more we laughed the more the horse bucked, which didn't help any....then I slid right off the horses butt!!! I sat on the ground laughing when all of a sudden I bursted up and started running towards the house, my friend thought I was hurt and yelled for me.....I turned and said "I was laughing so hard I peed my pants, gotta change!!" She started laughing some more... that's my experience with a horse!!:o Michelle-I hope you get caught up with everything. Like to hear how you're doing. Angie- How are feeling?? Good I hope. How is everyone doing with being OP? I don't feel like I'm doing well at all... I think with school, and my grandmother, and a bunch of other doodly going on in my life, I've been not concentrating on it very well!! I have got to pull my head out of the clouds and concentrate on me!! Well, I've gotta to do some last minute studying for my exam tomorrow. You all take care Marti Cristie- You posted while I was typing!! Always good to hear from you!!!! |
Hey Y'all!
Well, I hope everyone had a good day. I had duty today and I am beat! :tired: Overall, though, no blood + no deaths = good day. :sunny:
Janna- Are you gonna post some more pictures if you can figure it all out? BTW my little girl has the same name but we spell it Kayelin- it is a combo of my middle name (Kaye) and my BIL's middle name (Lin). Her first name is Vallory and that is what we call her. DH and I are big on family names. My daddy, brother, and father-in-law's first name was James so we hit all bases and Landon's (DS) first name is Jaymes. (We spelled it a little differently.) We got a lot of good gifts cuz we were able to tell each one that we named the kid after them. LOL  I missed some of the threads, so is this your son's or daughter's baby? Marti- I can feel for you. I got my BSE in education 15 years ago then went back to school a few years ago to get my certification in a reading program. Tough year! :faint: I was glad to get it over with, then, dumb me, I signed up last week to get my National Certification. I wouldn't go back next year, but this means a $5000 raise.  I can kill myself for one measley year to get that kind of raise. (I won't have to pay for the training, so it is an even better deal!) How much longer do you have to go? :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes BTW I loved the horse story! Too funny! Angie- Hope you are feeling better. Yeah, the Thanksgiving day thing kinda wierded me out too! :fr: I thought I was looking at last year's thread or something and had to check the date four times. Cristi- I'm jealous. What does your DH do? Mine finishes concrete.... his free time is in the winter and since I teach mine is in the summer. It is kind of tough for us to schedule vacations. :dizzy: What did y'all do- or should I ask? :smoking: *snicker* Hey to anyone else I missed. I'm glad you gals remembered me. I may not get to post for a couple of days. My Avon order will be in tomorrow and it will take me a while to sort everything out. I will also spend a while packing everything for the our excursion to the hills for the weekend. Hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow. :lucky: Night all! |
Hey ladies...
Hope everythings good for you all. Angie...sounds like surgery went well. Im glad to hear your not in any pain. And Happy Thanksgiving by the way! I wish I could be home to celebrate it with my family. But nooo....I have to wait until next month! I know what you mean about the training. When I started my last job, I had to do tow weeks of training at the Seattle store, plus 4 days in California at the head office. I left with a butt load of paper and training material. Its good that you get to enjoy the perks of the job. Im sure all those new clothes make it all worthwhile. Jana...Yayyy! She got a digital camera. Hubby and I just bought a little cheapie one too. I needed it to get all my junk listed on ebay. But it has been used for one or two pics of the dogs too! So, how's the baby doing? Is she home now? How are the twins settling into sisterhood? She is such a little cutie...but youre right..there were a few on there that looked like little aliens. Marti...OP you ask??? Personally not doing that well. I havent been to the gym in ages. Eating has been ok. Im not perfect by far, but Im not gorging on junkfood. So Im kind of maintaining. I havent weighed myself in ages, and dont plan to! Not until I get back to the gym. Im sorry to hear that you flunked the test. Getting a tutor is a great idea, and Im sure it will make a world of difference. Good luck on the next one!! Can I get Jhanai's autograph now, maybe I can sell it on ebay in 20 years and make a fortune!!! Kaycee...good to see you! No horse advice for you. The biggest animal I ever owned was a German Shepherd. Are you shopping around for one, or have you found one? Owning a horse sounds like alot of fun, but alot of work. Keep us updated. Christie..nice to see you to! If it makes you feel any better, I havent been to the gym either, and I have no medical excuses. Are you able to go now? I just like to keep in mind that it not like Im NEVER going back....just not right this second. Well, the hubby is still hurtin pretty bad, and making life rough around here. He gets mad when he cant do things fast enough, so his temper is flaring. I help him as much as I can, but just generally try to stay out of his way. I hope that doesnt sound bad. Im just getting frustrated with his temper tantrums. He finally has an appt with the doc that did his last surgery, and is getting an MRI tomorrow. My little ebay and amazon business is running full force, and doing better than I expected. I listed a book for $3.99, and it sold for $41!!! I listed two other sets of books by the same author, one at $33.99 and the other ar $29.99. One went for $138, and the other for $178!!!!!! Also sold a box set of Beatles CDs for $225. So...cant say that Im not earning my keep this month!!!! Im am definintely hooked. Well ladies..gotta get some housecleaning done. Ive been neglecting it, and have to climb Mount Washmore once again. If Im not back soon, send in search and rescue! Take care of yourselves.... Michelle |
