Not to mention Hairy Lee. My kids love them.

Made a bit of progress in things I was actually supposed to be doing. Parents' night tonight at school. Will drag dh along for reinforcement.

wanker...now that's a good word!

I go back to work today

I have a lovely group of fourth graders just for the afternoon. It will be nice. I think I'm going to go to curves afterward...at least I hope to. My shoulder is doing great. I don't know what I did, but all of a sudden, it seems much better.

Sugar, was that an insult to me? Hairy???? Do they have copycat Herb and Butter...is it really cheaper than buying the ricearoni?

I could be wrong, but I don't think Letty is the vintage type.

See? Everyone figured out hudda.

Robert Frost makes sense...more than Orson Bean.

I never read marriage or self-help books. I think that when I feel bad it is because a.) something bad has happened, b.)I ate sugar or c.)I'm pmsing.

Tonight is the first night of real homework. I dread this....but I didn't eat sugar and I'm not pmsing, so I should be fine.

OK, I'm going to go sausage myself into a pair of size 16 pants and hope I can find a tunic to cover the bulges. Then I'll waddle off to work. XO, L

Sug, thanks for mentioning Flylady, of course I had to go figure out what that was about. Why is she called the Flylady, do you know?

choose.

katrinabgood 09-08-2003 01:43 PM

multiple choice

a. she can fly
b. she's a terrible housekeeper
c. she's easy as all get out
d. she enjoys fly fishing

Wabby 09-08-2003 06:41 PM

Geez. I take the weekend off and look what happens..... I can't even begin to comment on the hudda that's been flying thick and heavy here all weekend. I need hipwaders to get through all the hudda.

Lush, your shoulder feels better because your Doc threatened surgery. It has amazing healing properties.

MMmmm. Pumpkin pie is my very favorite. You can eat several pieces of pumpkin pie before you feel ill. You can't eat several pieces of chocolate cream or pecan pie without feeling icky. You can pick up pumpkin pie and eat it without a plate or a fork. If you do have a fork, you can cut little pieces of pumpkin pie off, and eat little tidbits, without really admitting to yourself that you are eating pie. Pumpkin pie is good with whipped cream, or cool whip, or vanilla ice cream. mmmmmm. pumpkin. pie.

Cowpernia 09-08-2003 06:57 PM

I am impressed with wabby's deep understanding of pumpkin pie. She has put a lot of thought into this. A+ on research and presentation.

A+ also to Bagz for her lively pie prose. We can include it in our book. Or ... if the book doesn't get off the ground ... make a tract out of it and hand it out to anorexics.

Kat ... they are pink. Kittens are not pink. C- to you.

D to Lush. As always.

Hi!

I used to surf this board years ago, I never posted, because I thought you were mean. Now, I notice that you allow new people. You seem to be really, really nice. May I join?

Cowpernia 09-08-2003 09:03 PM

We are really really nice as you observed, gn, but I'm not sure we can accept new members right now. Would you like to be on our waiting list?

Kiwonk 09-08-2003 09:09 PM

I love Potato Potato

I think a certain Cowpie and I decided it was neither Orson Bean ( ) nor Robert Frost, but Tom Wolfe (Thomas Wolfe?) that said you couldn't go home again. But neither of us want to look it up, do we?

I can't think any deep thoughts because I'm busy listening to Weebl and Bob. And Hairy Lee. I may never do anything else.

gnabthn, my advice is to get a name with the proper amount of vowels and an avatar that doesn't feature man boobs.

Kiwi

choosewell 09-08-2003 09:12 PM

I didn't know you didn't allow new members! Sorry. OK, that's fine. I'll get back in line. Although now I guess I have to get behind gnb, or I'll be taking cuts. This is mortifying. I should have asked.

You did seem pretty nice, but I understand the unlimited limitations associated with cyberspace.

Look what happens when I'm outside sweeping the sidewalk. Those activity points were definitely NOT worth this.

Next time I bring pie..
Poos-Well

Kiwonk 09-08-2003 09:19 PM

Choosey, you have the requisite number of vowels in your name. You are in, pending probation.

Cowpernia 09-08-2003 09:29 PM

what kind of pie?

choosewell 09-08-2003 09:35 PM

Pumpkin appears popular (alliteratively speaking).

How about Margarita Pie, which is probably a real pie, but I'm thinking a pie plate of nachos served with margaritas would be nice. Maybe on a Friday that would be a good pie.

I'm open to suggestions. I'm very suggestive, as a matter of fact. Which used to get in my trouble when I was Young and Cute. Now that I'm Old and Fat no one seems open to suggestive remarks, or even blatant prodding.

Except when I mention PIE!!!!!!
