Good morning all. I am sitting here watching “Father Knows Best.” Boy the character Betty was sure a snot. I need to get my motor running to get some more work done.

I fixed beef stew in the oven last night and had never done that before. I did start it on top of the stove, browning the meat and such. I make mine in a gravy. Got rave reviews from hubby so guess that’s all that matters.

Jack put out our old tray tables at the end of the garage as I purchased new marble topped ones as the old wooden ones were getting rickety. Jack says he figures they’ll be gone before the trash pick up tomorrow. He says the neighborhood thinks we have good junk. lol It is true. We put stuff out for the trash and it gets scooped up before trash guys get here.

Jean: I was talking to my friend about social security and people trying to live on just it. As I told you before, when Jack filed 3 months early, I guess he went over the $49,000 cap allowed. Now instead of taking back the one payment a little at a time, (he filed 3 yrs ago,) they informed us last month they were keeping a whole payment. Now what would we have done if we lived on his SS only? Wonder what that old gal thought he’d done? I mean, that’s why you have insurance. If I kept the heat even at 70 it would be too hot upstairs at night. We can’t do much about insulating this place better either. I hope Beth feels better soon. I have heard the flu is wicked this year.

Well I need to get a move on.

Good Afternoon! It is a very foggy damp day in my neighborhood today. We have lost a lot of snow the last couple days; just in time for the big storm predicted for tomorrow. It is supposed to blow 45/50 mph with 5/6” of snow. The weathermen have been talking about it since last weekend. This morning I went back to have the prescription checked in my new glasses and they put the old bifocal prescription in! No wonder trying to read was blurry unless I had my nose next to the page! So since I didn’t like the frames very much I picked out different frames. They will replace the lenses free since it was their mistake and I will either get a credit or pay the difference in the frames. I had lunch bunch then finished with checking in greeting cards putting them in the display rack for the gift shop. I have bell practice in an hour, then I am home for tomorrow, Friday, and the weekend!

Sandy, I really like raisin bagels, even better with cream cheese, but our bakery rarely has them. I got the shivers just reading about your thermostat settings. I think it has something to do with age! We went to Ian’s game last night and now we have to pay because it is high school. The mom asked if we were “seniors” and smarty pants Bob asks how old do we have to be. The gal replied, “55,” and Bob said that was so long ago he forgot what it was like. I just pretend like I don’t know him sometimes. Ian even made a basket which he doesn’t get a chance to do very often. They won by 30 some points. These kids make three pointers and make it look so easy. Beth is feeling better and said she thinks she will live to tell the tale. There are three kinds of influenza, A, B, and C with C being the least “feeling miserable” so I assume A is the worst.

“Gma,” I think the guy slammed the door on the van and that’s when the window broke. She was really mad! Whatever my social security raise is, I will still get the same amount as before because Medicare went up. I hate trying to keep up with insurance, investments, etc. I’m so thankful Bob knows all about that stuff. Jason does too but Beth will ask questions because Will has no clue and neither does his dad even though he thinks he does. Amanda had her second surgery today; hope the doctor got it right this time! I think I would let him know I was not happy, but that is my age talking I guess. Beth did say she felt so much better than a week ago but still not 100%. She hasn’t had a good nights sleep yet.

I have a load of undies to fold and put away so better keep moving. Enjoy the rest of your day!
