Good afternoon. We didn't do much yesterday except to go to Red Lobster. There was a commercial on and Jack said it looked so good so we got ready and went about 1:30 I think. We came home and watched part of the ballgame but the pitcher got hurt and the bullpen really mucked it up so we turned it off.

I am very stressed about the hurricane and the two tropical storms behind it but nothing we can do about it. The worst that will happen land wise is we have to cancel our day trip to Miami and that it rains the whole time we are in FL. I am more concerned as far as the cruise goes with the tropical storms and how they will develop. I told Jack we are taking cheese and pb crackers with us on board the ship just in case. lol On top of that, there is a family in a condo down two from us and they are pigs!!! The impact of that is three nights ago I got up and went to the bathroom at 1:30 AM , was on the toilet and a rat!!! tried to jump on my leg out of no where! I screamed and it took off. I made Jack get up and bait and turn on the electric trap we bought. We haven't seen any evidence like droppings or food bags ripped and such and it hasn't been back. I have griped to management and to a board member but nothing has been done except to threaten fines for people who don't keep their trash in lidded containers. It is the bad thing about living in attached housing and especially with a bunch of renters!!! So, I am a mess as I am really rodent phobic. I make Jack turn on the lights in the laundry, bathroom and pantry before he goes to bed and I turn on a couple fans to make noise besides. What a mess.

Jean: Oh I sure hope Beth gets to feeling better! Strep throat is the pits. Sounds like you had a lovely day Sunday. I saw your "new" church pictuare that Jason posted. You looked great! I got the giggles of Bob rushing you down the aisle. I saw where Floridians have cleaned the stores out of water. At least the governor had brains and is evacuating the Keys instead of waiting.

Good Evening! My day started early since I was in charge of getting the church money to the bank today. I wanted to be in and out before the church office before it opened at 9, as I had to return the deposit receipts for the accountant. I made the gift shop deposit, stopped to pay for altar flowers next Sunday, dropped Bob's suit off at the cleaners, and then stopped by the hospital to drop off checks. I have had a pain in a leg, just to the side and below the knee for over a week. It doesn't hurt when I walk but is sore to the touch. Usually by evening it is worse so today decided to have it checked. The doctor didn't think it was anything serious but sent me for x-rays. The hospital wasn't busy so I was in and out in less than a half hour. The nurse called an hour later and the x-rays didn't show anything. "Take ibuprofen as needed." When we were in Sioux City Sunday I bought an iPad cover which turned out to be the wrong size. I had two weeks to return it but Bob wanted to stop by Menards and SAMs so drove over this afternoon. We got a gift card from a wine store so made a stop there. Beth had been there for a business wine tasting party and recommended a couple she thought we would like. I have prescriptions to pick up tomorrow and our two cruise couples are taking us out to eat tomorrow night for our anniversary.

"Gma," you and Jack have been in my thoughts since Irma hit the news. I sure hope it blows itself out before your cruise is set to sale. :crossed: How in the world did the rat get into your condo, but worse yet, where did he go? That would make me a wreck! A mouse I can handle, a rat not. If it were a snake I would be long gone for sure. I hope by now he's in the trap! Inconsiderate neighbors are the worst! Kolby got sick yesterday with a fever and aching all over. Beth felt well enough to go to work today, not sure if she took him to the doctor today. She spent all weekend on the couch with the dog.
