Wow did we have rain and wind last night! This morning we had icy roads and I had a 7 a.m. meeting. But I made it in safely with no issues.

From my AM weight (I weigh myself every morning) I am tracking for a loss at TOPS tomorrow night. It should somewhere around a 3-4 lb loss.

Anne: All I can say about the Hep C is Praise the Lord! and I have a feeling that the all will be well with the other scan. I'm surprised that the tech told you what she was looking at but then...our God works is mysterious ways.

Ceejay: You are getting great workouts in! Isn't it amazing how great they make you feel? I feel so good these days. Goes to show what even a 30 min workout can do to make you feel good, plus eating better. I have only made small changes and the difference is huge.

Laura: I'm glad BF's colonoscopy went well and is over with. I hope things go well with move day.

Shad: Have I missed the date for your hysterectomy? I want to put it on my calendar so I don't forget it.

Happy: How was tai chi? I think I saw something on FB that you did two steps? It does look like people are moving in slow motion when they do tai chi. I have always thought it would be something I would like to learn..it is on the "bucket list" to take a class in it sometime.

I better get back to work. Since I have been here since 7 am. (and I got up at 4:15 to get ready for work and to get here a bit before 7 so I wasn't late to the meeting, I feel like it should be 1 p.m.!

Good morning ladies,

Sorry I didn't get here yesterday. Phone calls and junk going on with the thrift shop I had to handle before I left for my shift. It's dead there now - we mostly sat and tidied up things. But people are getting really sloppy with money and closing so it makes for a big mess for me to keep straight. I have a finance meeting in an hour at the library so this will be a short post. It's cold and snowy out - not conditions to be out in but I have yoga and tai chi and several meetings from now through Saturday. I am glad DH is my Uber driver!

Tai Chi was great. There are 108 "forms" (moves, postures) in Tai Chi. We are doing 8 of them. It's a whole program that is put together specifically for older people and balance. I found a great you tube video that will help me practice in between sessions. It's really gentle movements that is almost like a slow motion choreographed dance. All are designed to improve balance and core strength. I would totally recommend it.

Susie - you are really dropping the weight fast with this low fat program. keep it up! We're really getting into treacherous weather now - I hate going out too.

Annie - sorry you are sleepy today - that's the pits. I LOVE the show This Is Us. Surprisingly, even DH started to watch it but he was still catching up on binge watching so I watched last night by myself. Loved your fire hydrant remark - I'm filing that for future use  Ouch on the arm bruise!!! Funny how we can get such big bruises and not know where they came from. Meadow's wound seems to be healing ok even with the busted stitches - thanks for asking. I'm keeping an eye on it. AMAZING amazing news on your Hep-C. The power of prayers and positive thinking. Stay healthy

Ceejay - thank you for the kind words for Meadow. She only barfed once last night, I hope that means she is calming down and her blood sugar is also. Trying to keep her calm. I would hope very much that as you ease into retirement and a more peaceful life, that one of the benefits you will see is a drop in blood pressure, illnesses and medications. Amazing what stress does to us.

Laura - good luck with the move. Hope it's an opportunity to also do some culling and reorganizing.

Shad - I think if you use the orange immediately after freezing it might be salvageable for juice but once 24 hours pass = they get really yucky. But thanks for the experiment! How is the painting coming along? Does the paint really dry when it's humid and hot like it is by you? Watch - just because you want dry weather you will get rain  Maybe you'll be on to something :D

Ok girls, sorry to cut this short but I want to make sure I dry off from my shower before I head outside or I may start to creak like my deck boards from the excess moisture when I hit the almost zero temps outside.

Have a good day everyone.

Laura705 01-11-2017 01:09 PM

Morning all. Decided I’m not going to spend much time this morning doing move stuff. I’ll do it in the afternoon.

Ceejay
I’m only moving two cubicles over, and so is the admin. We'll both be right outside the boss’s office. Ugh. Nope, not a promotion. == Sorry to hear that your infection still isn’t gone. Good you didn’t cancel the appointment with your doctor. Sounds like the clinic got into a lot more than just your infection – I’d certainly rather leave those other issues to be discussed with my doctor (BP, EKG, etc). == Congrats on the good BP readings. == Glad the shot has helped your toe pain. == Goodonya (as Shad would say) for the exercise you’re doing!! :D

Annie
Sounds like great news concerning the hep c!! Now I hope the official read on the liver scan is just as positive. == So glad to hear that the arm pain was a big bruise and not a heart thing! == Hope you perk up a bit as the day goes on (usually the opposite happens) OR you find a quiet spot to get a nap. Such a struggle getting through the day with inadequate sleep. == Re the tiny houses – yeh, I would never want to have to go up a ladder to get to a sleeping loft, and some of them are so small you can’t even sit up in the bed without hitting your head. So claustrophobic! Nope, no way, no how. == I hope Sassy’s bladder infection is gone even though you took her off the meds for it. Poor baby.

Susie
Yes, it was extremely windy by us yesterday all day, and it’s still somewhat windy today. I’m glad you were able to have a safe commute.== CONGRATS on the big WL at TOPS last Thursday!! :) Looks like you’re headed for another great week – YGG!!! :cheer: == Re the art for the bedroom – nope, it’s not up yet. It’s much larger than what we had up there in the past and we’ll have to have two hooks on the wall, or preferably, attach a wire hanger to the canvas’s framework and hang it from a single hook.

Happy
The Tai Chi class sounds great. I imagine the slow movements certainly help develop the balance.== I’ve heard good things about the show “This is Us”, I might have to catch up on it.== I’m glad Meadow’s incision is healing in spite of the stitches coming undone. == Re my move – I’ve gotten rid of some items, but not all that much. As long as I have room for everything, I have little motivation to purge it. In my work, I deal with issues from the past, so I hesitate to dispose of a lot of certain items, especially when the issues pre-date the era of electronic files and documents only exist in paper form. == What a bummer about all those oranges getting frozen. :( I’d feel bad about that too. == I’ve re-donated several items I’ve purchased from a thrift shop and then realized they didn’t fit right or I just changed my mind about them. At least they get to sell it twice and make more money, LOL. == How did the start of the WL challenge go the other day?

Shad
I like the very light grays – e.g., dove gray. It will look nice against white trim. Gray is considered a neutral I guess, so any pops of accent color will probably work. == A pergola sounds great, but I’m thinking of the kind that don’t have a roof, just the beam structure. But the shade from the roof and a fan sounds like just the thing to keep cool but still be outdoors. How about a misting system too?? :D == Thanks for the information re patching the wall. I’ve done small patching many times with drywall mud/”spackle” (a brand name of patching compound), but not the type that require a piece of wallboard. I guess I’m not sure what to do if there’s no stud nearby to which the drywall patch can be screwed. Well I guess I do know – nail a piece of wood to whatever stud is nearby. I just seems like it would be awkward to be hammering in a small-ish opening. Oh well. It will be a learning experience. Now to jump right on that when bf goes out to watch football playoff games, LOL.
==
Update since it seems I haven’t posted since Friday. Friday night I removed all the ornaments from the Christmas tree.

Saturday I had my hair appointment. (Susie – no change to my ‘do or color, but I did have more taken off than just a trim because my hair seemed too long.) Bf and I went to my mom’s and put in the other bifold door on my mom’s closet, made some adjustments and that was done. We took her out to the pharmacy for her flu shot (better late than never!) and then to lunch.

Sunday morning I made cranberry bread, adding about twice as many cranberries as called for. Yum! We watched the dvd “Don’t Think Twice” which was about an improve comedy troupe. It was'nt as good as I thought it would be. Sort of depressing, actually, because it makes one realize how little of a chance someone in that “profession” has to be successful, like making it onto a show like “Saturday Night Live”. Otherwise, you make a pittance and you always have a day job that pays the bills.

Already reported on Monday.

Yesterday evening we got the rest of the Christmas décor put away. After dinner I watched a little tv and then did some reading while cuddled up in my snuggy. It didn’t take long for me to get warm and then drowsy. Of course I put my book aside, turned off the lamp, fully reclined my end of the sofa, and promptly fell asleep for at least 2 hours. That was nice.

Tonight’s Pilates. That’s it for me. Time to get this posted.

Shad 01-11-2017 06:41 PM

Morning all,
Another sunshiney day in the great south east. We could do with rain but nothing is looking likely until Monday. I did some painting this morning but it has now got too hot to carry on so I am inside now and having breakfast - stewed apricots with pomegranate and whole protein yoghurt. Yum. Now drinking my coffee and chatting on here.

Annie - love the fire hydrant analogy.
As for the scans - they often seem to display something that is later disputed. Just look at the scans and ultrasounds that I have had. Each one displayed different information. They are not always right.
It will be great if you don't have HepC. We can all celebrate a victory :woo:
Not sure if you can get rid of cirrhosis of the liver, but you can certainly live with it.
Sorry also to hear about Sassy not being well again. Hope she comes right soon.
Nephews birthday party was really just a family dinner. He was 25. We had a nice dinner of roast chicken and roast lamb with roasted potatoes and pumpkin and some peas. I took apple crumble for dessert and there was plenty of bread and some lasagne as well. We feasted happily.

Ceejay - all doctors seem to have different ideas about what may be wrong with us. The younger ones seem to be hellbent on sending us for scans and tests which may or may not tell anybody anything specific.

Susie - Hope you get a good loss again at TOPS tonight. You certainly seem to be doing things right at the moment. Keep on keeping on.
My operation date is set for 24th January. That's probably your 23rd since we are some 17 hours ahead of you on the world clock.

Laura - hope you are happily settled in your new cube now. Always amazes me how long it takes the IT people to come around and shift things technical.
Round here we cover the pergola to make an open air space without the sun. The fan is my thought, haven't divulged that to the DS2 yet. Might do so as he will be wanting to put conduit into one of the joins in the roofing stuff. Right now I need to get on top of the painting because they will be lifting the roof onto the rafters this afternoon.
As for plugging up holes in walls with plasterboard and no studs available, takes a bit more work but is easy enough - let's face men can do it so it has to be easy. I attach one or more slats of timber (not the big stuff - just 1x2 or something similar) to the plasterboard to be inserted in the hole. You can use screws or glue or both. The ends of the timber must be visible top and bottom as they are to be glued to the original wall. I usually have about 2-3 inches. You then tie pieces of string around the timber bits and put glue on the timber slats. Insert carefully the plaster and timber piece into the hole (generally sideways or any other way you can get it to fit in) and manoeuvre it into place. Twist and pull the strings to get the glue to attach to the inside wall and ensure the whole thing is tight against the wall. When the glue is dry, you can screw the timber backing to the wallboards, cut off the strings and then plaster in the normal way.

Happy - I did Tai Chi classes many years ago. I did enjoy it. It is so graceful when done right. Don't expect to get it right straight off tho'.
Hope you get the shop stuff done right and proper soon. Sounds like some training is necessary. Even charity places have to report their finances and they need to be right.

I guess that is about it for the time being. Can't think of much else and time is getting along again and there are things to do and places to go. We need some more fruit and vegetables and I daresay I will find something else we need between now and the shopping trip. So see you later, I'd better go shower and clean up before tackling the kitchen and dining room. Such is life.

happy2bme 01-11-2017 10:32 PM

Good evenin' to yahs,

Had a surprisingly good meeting with the finance group from the shelter. Lots of good ideas and discussion. Afterwards DH and I went out with our friend to lunch. I opted for the chicken dumpling soup (house favorite) instead of fries and ketchup with my tuna melt. Ate the soup and half sandwich for lunch, finished the other half with a cup of tomato soup for dinner. I am doing ok on only one soda a day - drinking tea and water other times. Was plugging my food and exercise into My Fitness Pal again. I guess if I count net carbs, I am on plan. We'll see what Monday's weigh in looks like. I am doing mindful eating - thinking about what I am eating. But darn, that toast the tuna melt was on was sooo good. Yoga started back up again today. We had a small class - many people were out travelling. We have a man in our class. He shed 70 pounds and is still a big tall guy and said he needs to lose more. Kinda the odd duck out but I give anyone credit for attending. The other 3 ladies are in my Tai Chi class and were all confused with the moves - mostly can't remember them. I was in better shape because I found a video I can follow so I gave them a 10 minute refresher course before class. We were all laughing, including the yoga teacher. But not the new man. There were a few moments when the yoga was hard (like getting down to the floor and up again) but I reminded myself that at the beginning of class that it's going to be hard because I am weak and I need to focus on getting stronger, not thinking how this is tough. And I remembered my "chose your hard" from my profile here.

Came home and Meadow had barfed all over the kitchen floor. I am wrapping my head around accepting the fact that her diabetes has advanced too far and her days are very numbered. Like you with Coal Laura, this is tearing my heart out. She still looks at me with those big eyes of hers and sits pretty for a brushing. I am trying to make her last days very comfortable, while still hoping for a miracle.

Shad - can you get pumpkin year round? Or do you call many kinds of squash pumpkin? Ooops - just looked it up. What we call butternut squash you might call pumpkin also. Reason I ask is that I am finding more and more tasty recipes for roasted pumpkin but we can only get it about one month out of the year (October). Butternut squash we can get for a good part of the year. I like the idea of the fan on the pergola - will keep the bugs at bay and provide a nice breeze. You're right about not getting the Tai Chi moves straight up. that's for sure but it does reinforce the need to practice a few times a week to get the muscle memory moves in one's head. I do think it will be a good thing. I'm glad you liked it when you practiced it.

Laura - I highly recommend the show "This Is Us". It's a good drama, had good writing and I was thinking about it's appeal to me the other day. I think and this sounds sappy... the main characters are young and in love, and maybe there is just a bit of past nostalgia about that. I like the show in a way that I liked Downton Abbey. It just grabbed me like a good book.

Darn it. Nina just came up from downstairs and leaped on to my computer. I swEAR SHE WON'T LET ME TYPE. sHE JUST TRIED TO SUBMIT MY POST.

happy2bme 01-11-2017 10:40 PM

first thing she does when she climbs up here is turn my caps lock on.

Ok, back to my post. Laura - I was talking to my sister last night and she was saying how awfully strong the wind gusts were yesterday. And the driving rain that did not let up. Not sure what's worse - calm winds and snow and cold or driving rain and high winds! Did not realize that your job involved a lot of historical archiving. In that case I'd be hesitant to delete/toss/shred anything either! Yum - cranberry bread. How do you make it - a more dense sourdough type or just a basic white bread with cranberries? Our bakery makes one with walnuts and cranberries which is heaven. Never thought to make my own.

Annie - I hope you were able to make it an early night tonight and get some catch up sleep.

I see it was rather windy out your way too Ceejay - how many rocks did you stuff in your pocket?

Kitty is intent on fighting with me for control of the keyboard so I'm going to post this and bid you all a good night.

Looking forward to our cooking classes resuming tomorrow night although it's going to be frightfully cold out. We went to lunch today and the chef and his wife were having lunch at the table next to us so we got to chat a bit. He promised us the best food yet from the classes so far and that's a pretty lofty goal as his stuff is the bomb! Good night everyone...

Good thing I copied this as she got up and deleted my page. Hah- I outsmarted her!

Morning/evening all...

The Fibroscan came back with "It suggest only mild scarring. This is in contradiction to the findings of the CT scan which suggested cirrhosis which is severe scarring." So now I am scheduled for a liver biopsy on January 26. Sharing surgery week with SHAD. It is outpatient, Samantha is on board to assist. Here goes $$ for 2017 and paying off yet another deductible of 5000K. Just getting the last of 2016 down to a decent balance of 1300 bucks. Hmmm, I see two payment in my near future. bleh. Well maybe 2018 will be a better year, bah. Or maybe....... Anyway let's look at the undetectable Hep C and here is to undetectable in two months with the follow up testing. Oh, more $$. Definitely need a gofundme page. Yes as I worry about EVERYTHING, this is very stressful to me. Testing, results, money, all of it. Hard to stay positive. Yet I have so much to be grateful for and I am such a brat.

Dinner, unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, folded towels and started the dress clothes. Sam finished the dress clothes, hanging mine not drying and drying Cs. She took the trash bin to the curb and collected all the trash in the house, took it to the bin also. She also cleaned the filters in the vacuum and ran the vacuum. I went to bed at 8 and was asleep by 8:30, not a bad night's sleep considering my day. Looking forward to a 3 day weekend. Monday is a company holiday for us, MLK day. Martin Luther King for those that do not recognize the initials. Remember banks closed and no mail on Monday.

I am holding my own on the WL challenge with my co-worker. Staying the same and she has lost 2 lbs so far. I better get with it or I will be out 20$ come March 31st. Evenings are bad for me. Bleh.

Will come back for personals as I almost lost this post to Jenny Craig ad. Fat fingered my mouse. LOL

annie175 01-12-2017 08:30 AM

Just realized my pun in my prior post...fat fingering the Jenny Craig ad...bah

HAPPY...it makes me sad to read about Meadow. I feel like all the pets we 3FC have are all our pets. Still thinking about LAURA's Coal too. Makes it hard to get another pet when we know they will go before us. Somehow, like childbirth, God let's us forget the pain and we do it again, otherwise we would be a one child ever, one pet ever household. Nice to have lunch with your Chef. Cooking class, I would love to do that. Need you here to push me. Let us know what goodies you got to eat/make in class. YUM. I could pass on the tuna melt but a ham/cheese melt sounds yummy about now. Funny the man in TC class didn't find you women humorous, go figure. Have fun in class tonight or last night?

SHADDIE...The pergola definitely needs a fan considering how hot it gets down there. Better break it to DS before he gets too far along. Amazing all the things you know how to do. You can have all of our rain, we have even had thunderstorms here including power outages. Very strange for January in Indiana. Thank God it is not snow. C wouldn't have enough bread in the stores to cover it. haha. It is 61 today but temps are supposed to drop to 26 tonight which means probably a bit of freezing rain/snow for the drive home this evening. Great!

LAURA....love cranberry bread, and especially orange cranberry bread. My SIL let me taste her orange cranberry muffin from McDonalds. Surprisingly it was fabulous. I will not be buying one as the calories are too high for me. We all must be on the same basic hair schedules. Sam colored my hair last night and getting it trimmed on Friday night. A nice warm toasty nap sounds good about now.

SUSIE...how did WI go at TOPS?

CEEG...great numbers on the BP. Yes, best to stick with you own doctor rather than the clinic docs. Tests, tests and more tests. Convinced they get a bonus if they refer people to testing.

Hello to the rest of ya's. Hugs

Laura705 01-12-2017 11:26 AM

Morning all. Yesterday was that miserable rain and wind (wish I could send the rain over to Shad), and this morning we had sleet. I put the spikey things onto my boots for the walk to the train station because the dusting of snow covered the wet sidewalks that had iced up.

Happy
So sad to hear about Meadow. It’s so heartbreaking to see our beloved pets suffer with the breakdown of their health. I know you’ll make her time left as comfortable as you can. == It’s probably a good thing for your yoga classmates to also be your Tai Chi classmates – you can motivate each other. Good you have a video to help you practice in between classes. I know I should do more Pilates between classes, but I would at least need a list of the moves or a video to remind me of them. Though if I spent a few minutes jotting down the ones that come to mind, I'm sure it would probably be more than I thought I could come up with, especially since I’ve taken the classes so many times. == My cranberry bread is a quick bread, so it’s cake-like, and has orange juice, orange zest, and pecans in it. Recipe from the America’s Test Kitchen people. == So what’s the theme of your next cooking class? I would like to take another cooking class, but the community education classes that the school district offers probably still use the same instructor we had for the knife skills class we took a few years back. She drove bf and I batty with her annoying speech habit of starting off everything she said with “Welcome to….” I guess we just need to find another source for classes.

Annie
Tests, tests and more tests. Positive outcomes, yes, but too bad they can’t be positive after one test and not a multitude. (Agree - they must get a bonus or commission for ordering them.) Well, it’s good you’re healthy so you can continue to work and pay for all those tests… just better invest in something that will help you reduce or counteract that stress over finances – massages, Tai chi class, a zen garden…or learn to love fishing like C does, haha. ===Nice to have a 3-day weekend coming up – enjoy. :) I don’t have one coming up until President’s Day, Feb. 15th.

Shad
Yes, settled in my cube. Happily… that remains to be seen. My computer is in the same position, but the layout is reversed in terms of the file cabinets, mini closet, etc.so that will drive me batty for a bit until I get accustomed to it. == Your pergola is coming along – that’ll be so nice on those hot days (thank you for reminding us what those are like, haha). Better get the fan figured into the construction plan!! == LOLOL, yes, of course, if a man can do the drywall work, we could certainly be successful at it. And we’re probably more patient with it too. The method you suggested for a wallboard patch sounds much less awkward than trying to hammer a smallish piece of wood into a stud somewhere inside the wall. I’ll have to get bf to show me how to use his power drill/screwdriver, but I suppose he’ll give me trouble about the fact that I want to re-do the work he already did, and he’ll grudgingly insist that he do the work himself because that’s been his job around the house. I guess if the job gets done – properly - it doesn’t matter who does it….== I like your images of Happy’s cat. :)

==

I’m still awaiting the real results of my mammo. I received a letter stating I needed to go back for an ultrasound, but I was warned to expect that, but ignore it because they need my old films to fully evaluate the current mammo. I did get on the phone and confirmed they didn’t have the old films yet, and learned that they are having trouble getting them because the previous mammo center I used was sold by my gyno practice to the local hospital and it’s hard to get in contact with anyone with disconnected phone numbers, etc. So I called my old gyno doc’s office and got another number and passed it along. We’ll see if that works.

It was a miserable night for weather, but I got myself to Pilates class anyways. I enjoyed the class, and I have some sore abs this morning to show for it.

Tonight after work I’ll pick up a find from one of my fb garage sale groups – a stockpot with a strainer insert. I don’t really need the stockpot itself, but I've been wanting an insert for when we cook pasta. It would be nice if the insert fits into my own stockpot, but if not, I’ll use this one that I’m buying. A side benefit would be if the base of the pot I’m buying is larger in circumference than mine because it'll work better with our stove burners. Our “power burner” ring is very large so the flame when set on high will go around the side of the pot and waste the heat. Well, that’s what bf does... I tend to use the other burners so that doesn’t happen. But it would be nice to use the power burner to heat up large pots of water more quickly.

I also want to finally get the Key West lodging squared away tonight!

Okay, that’s it. Off to post.

annie175 01-12-2017 01:47 PM

Oh and on the show This is Us, the guy that plays Mandy Moore's husband is "Jess" from Gilmore Girls. FYI anyone who is interested.

annie175 01-13-2017 07:30 AM

Expected ice storms here in Indy this weekend, hopefully they will fall south of a line of I70, giving us somewhat of a break. We shall see on that. I have heard 3 different forecasts on different stations.

happy2bme 01-13-2017 08:24 AM

Morning all,

Minus 22 degrees out there. Again I question my sanity taking an early morning class. I called yesterday and after alot of running around they finally called me back and said yes, they are still planning on having the class. Will you hold the class tomorrow despite the intense cold???? That's not a hard question folks - instructor talks to program director. 3 sentences max - easy peasy decision. Should be but not. I really don't want to go out but I have a nagging voice that says don't give up. And I have a meeting at the thrift shop afterwards so I am reluctantly going out.

Yesterday's cooking class was fun. He taught us to make creme brulee which is more touchy than I thought because of the custard. We also had a coffee dusted perch which was better than I thought. Ahi tuna which DH gobbled up, a chicken and rice dish, zucchini cakes (to give an example of crab cakes, veggie cakes, etc), jerk shrimp and some side dishes like broccoli slaw, and a twist on traditional cabbage slaw. 7 people in class and we got full portions so we were both quite full when we walked out of there. He is having a session on soups in the town an hour away from here the end of the month. I want to go, DH is not keen on the nighttime 2 hour round trip drive.

Quick check in here for me as I have to get in the shower and wash off the hot tub chemicals and have enough time to reasonably dry off before I head out.

Annie - be very careful this weekend. I saw the graphics about the winter storm on the weather channel. Hopefully you can spent the weekend at home safe and sound. I'm glad you got better news on your liver tests although I hear you on the horrendous out of pocket costs. If it's any consolation, after careful calculations I have discovered it's either a pay me now or pay me later thing - ie. high premiums up front each month and a lower deductible or take a risk on lower premiums but if you have to have any medical work, then you get punched in the stomach on the upfront deductible. Going to cost me another $6,000 when I decide to do my other knee but no way would I jam both surgeries in one year. They ain't kidding when they said medical costs are killing us. :(

Ok kids, time's a tickin' will check back with the rest of you in a bit. Take care.

annie175 01-13-2017 08:55 AM

shuwee, bathroom issues. It is an either/or situation, either I go like crazy or don't go at all. bleh. So far I am losing (not weight either) on the WL challenge. I am staying the same but must say I have not tried very hard and is unacceptable. My friend has lost 3 lbs so far. Our official WI is not till Tuesday the 17th. Hopefully I will get my sh*t together <--- no pun intended, this weekend. Charging up my fitbit and will try to get as many steps in as my ankle will let me. No excuses. Wish I had the energy of Jacob, Royce or Bruno! lol

OMGosh HAPPY....how did you eat all that wonderful food? I definitely would have brought some of it home with me. It all sounds delish! I would drive the 2 hour trip for a soup class. Soup is one of my favorites. Yum. Yes, my insurance is work insurance. No choice on the ductible much. I have the lowest deductible and more premium cost insurance. I keep thinking I am grateful for insurance regardless of the cost as it could cost a lot more out of pocket if I didn't have insurance. I really like my liver specialist. His nurse is very blunt and kind of a smart A. In person she is ok however on the phone and email she is a bit rude. May have to take her down a notch. Don't get me fired up nursie poo. Minus 22 out is not worth me going out or YOU EITHER SISTER. That is awful. Not much planned this weekend for me. Hopefully I can make it to my Sat morn meeting but not going to push it. If it is too bad out I won't go.

LAURA...after having to go back on a couple of my mammograms the next time I went I told the tech to do it right and be thorough as I did not want to get a call to come back. Lo and behold I did not have to go back. Took her time? Just lucky? Don't know. Try it. lol. All moved into your new cubicle. Work seems the same tho, right? lol.

Hello to all, stay warm/cool and let's try to be healthy. Fake it till you make it???

Love and Hugs

Morning
It's a bad day to be outside. Freezing rain but I don't think it's on the roads just the trees and power lines. Supposed to last till Sunday. Ugh. I'd like to go to the gym but I don't think I will better safe than sorry.
I was told that my back splash tiles were in. Not sure when they be installed. Probably next week.

Annie
Ughh on all these test and biopsy. Wishing you the best. I'm glad your daughter is helping with the work load at home. My sister and I are having a "get fit" challenge. She actually joined a gym last week and is going regularly. He gym has a walking track too

Happy
I couldn't live that far north. I'm getting the Missouri taste of winter here and it's enough. My bones are cold just thinking about a -22 degree temperature.

Laura
I love fresh baked cranberry bread, banana bread etc. I have some blueberry muffins that I need to bake.

Shad
I wish that you could send us some of the heat. Will be keeping you and Annie in my thoughts and sending you good vibes.
