Down 1/2 lb. Better than nothing. Still eating too many carbs. I can do better.

Corinna - I love my new floor. I picked a light color Italian marble tile and it really lightened up the room. It's a new product. Very resistant to water and scratches. The tiles are 8 in. x 24 ins. and go together like tongue and groove board. I had a local company install it. https://onflooring.com/products/viny...an-slate-36250

Going to be another hot day...I need to pick stringbeans.

Corinna T 09-10-2016 09:27 PM

Yeah Renee on your success. That is great! :dancer: I am glad you had some good results this week.

I checked my scale this morning, and it said 1/2 lb up at first, and then it went to 1 lb up on my second try. LOL. I guess I am gaining weight while just standing there. Anyway, even though it shows more, I feel like I have lost some. Perhaps it is just water weight or better yet, some muscle.

I like the looks of your tile. It looks very nice. Good luck with your horse show tomorrow. I hope the heat is bearable.:crossed:

1/2 hr. evening barn chores

Meals
oatmeal with banana
graham crackers
leftover pizza

Corinna - as soon as I came home from the show, I let him rolled in the dirt! I hope the weather forecast is wrong for Sunday's show. They are calling for rain and thunderstorms. I'm not sure if I will take my horse or just go and help out. I'm not a fan of showing in the rain.

Hope Dee is ok. She hasn't posted for awhile.

Corinna T 09-13-2016 09:29 PM

Exercise:
Walked up 8 flights of stairs twice
Walked for 1 hour with dog

Meals:
Breakfast- berry drink
Lunch- bean and cheese burrito
Snack- pita chips
Dinner:- hummus, lettuce sandwich

Renee-I can just imagine him rolling around in the dirt. LOL. My pony use to do that too. I would wash and clean him up and brush him so he looked so handsome, and then as soon as I released him back into the meadow, he would roll. He was all white with a few black specks, so you can just imagine how he looked after rolling. I couldn't be too mad at him though, because I knew he was doing it to keep the flies away. I miss him.

Sounds like you have a good crop of string beans. Good healthy food.

I hope it doesn't rain. You have your big competition this weekend. I know you are looking forward to it. I am too.

I think Dee is doing okay. She posts to other threads too. Her recent posts state she had a good labor day weekend, went to the semi-annual Yoders Amish Quilt & Flea Market-Craft Show near Clare, MI, and is currently in the process of selling their home/looking for a new home to live in for good. I think she will post to our thread once again when she has more time.

Hope you have a good Wednesday.;)

Hi Kim  Glad you found us! Feel free to post your healthy living tips.

Exercise
1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores
picked tomatoes and peppers
1/2 hr. evening barn chores

Meals
oatmeal with banana
granola bar
tomato and cheese sandwich, hard boiled egg
plum
veggie tortellini casserole

Hopefully it won't rain today as we have some hay down, but we really do need rain. I have peppers to pick and freeze and carrots to dig. Think I'll wait on the carrots until we get some rain. They're easier to dig when the ground is moist. I can't believe summer is almost over. The older I get, the quicker it seems to go.

Enjoy your day!

Corinna T 09-14-2016 07:05 PM

Exercise
Walked with dog for an 1 hour
Walked 8 flights of stairs

Meals
Br-berry drink
Lu-2 slices veggie pizza
Di-hummus and pita chips, mock crab balls

Yumm, veggie tortellini casserole, yumm yumm.
I couldn't find anything very good to eat today for lunch.
I settled for some vegetable pizza that looked somewhat sparse on veggies.
Maybe tomorrow I will have a better selection.

Kim-welcome to this thread. Thanks for sharing some words of wisdom with us.

Renee3 09-15-2016 05:59 AM

Exercise
1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores
worked a horse
1/2 hr. evening barn chores

Meals
oatmeal with banana
nectarine
tomato and cheese sandwich
pretzels
italian roast beef and mixed veggies

Today is grocery shopping and baling hay. The rain missed us yesterday so we are good to go with the hay. We still have a few more fields to do. Will probably cut more next week. DH starts vacation on Sunday and I think we will take a few day trips.

Enjoy your Thursday!

Corinna T 09-15-2016 08:35 PM

Exercise
Walked with dog for an 1 hour
Walked 8 flights of stairs

Meals
Br-scrambled egg and cheese sandwich
Lu-veggie burger and onion rings
Di-mock crab balls

Renee-I hope the weather continues to be nice so you can get all that hay in the barn.
What type of day trips are you thinking of doing together with your husband? I hope
it is something fun. I hope you have a good time.

The weather is slightly cooler here. We may get a small chance of misty rain tonight.
It feels so nice outdoors. Well we had new gutters put on the house today. So the
roof and gutters are all new. Now to work on the next project of timed bathroom fan
and install a pull down ladder to the attic.

Well it is getting closer to Saturday, and that is weigh-in day. I hope we both see some
success this week. I think it will be a good week for both of us. Only time will tell. Let's
do it. :carrot:

Hope you have a good day.

Renee3 09-16-2016 08:42 AM

Exercise
1 1/2 hrs.morning barn chores
moved some hay
1/2 hr. evening barn chores

Meals
oatmeal
graham crackers
tomato and cheese sandwich
pretzels
beef chili mac and sweet corn

Corinna - yes, we got yesterdays hay in the barn. It was beautiful outside! Today is supposed to be the same. We have a bit more hay to cut. We'll probably do it next week. On Wednesday we're going to Lancaster to visit my sister and Sam's cousin. They live 3 miles apart. Not really sure what else we are doing.
The weather doesn't look too promising for the horse show on Sunday.....

Corinna T 09-16-2016 09:30 PM

Exercise:
8 flights of stairs
30 minute walk

Meals
Scrambled egg with biscuit
Banana
Vegetable Tempura
Fruit roll
Veggie Fajita

Renee-it will be nice for you both to visit with family. That's great! I hope you have a great time. If the weather is bad this weekend, I may not travel anywhere. Right now the Sunday forecast on weather.com is 50% chance of rain with thunderstorms. Rain to start at 5 AM, and then thunderstorms at 9AM running through the whole day. That doesn't sound good. I will check again later.

Tomorrow is weigh-in. I don't know how things will fair out for me. I am trying to think positive about it.....we will see.
