Carol - pop your calories up to 1500 for a few days and see what happens. Sounds like your metabolism just needs a little shake up.

Shelley - I must have neglected to mention it....I have a job teaching 5th/6th grade language and reading. I will have 5th graders in the mornings and 6th graders in the afternoon (or vice-versa). It's at a tiny K-6 school (about 350 students) in a rural community about 20 miles south of my house. I sign my contract on Wednesday.

Aloha Floozies!
We are back to reality again...wow, what a fantastic vacation. Maui was absolutely gorgeous and the whole family had a blast. Some of the highlights were snorkeling at Molokini Crater and Honolua Bay, seeing the sea turtles next to our boat, swimming in fresh water pools with waterfalls, seeing the sunset over Mount Haleakala, the luau at the Hyatt (my son loved the fire sword dancer and my daughter loved the princess), hula lessons, lei making, mai tais, Hula Pie (hot fudge, vanilla ice cream, chocolate crust with macademia nuts!), Maui chips, macadamia nuts, portugese sausage, Mama's Fish House (great fresh fish), beautiful flowers, beautiful scenery, black sand and red sand beaches, lots of shopping, etc., etc.
Looks like the board has been busy for the last week and I have 158 emails, yikes...probably most of them about Viagra!
I did scan the photo thread...it was fun to see what everyone looks like. I'll try and post a photo of our Maui trip when I get a chance.
Sherry and Debbie, have a great vacation!
I hope all of you are well. I guess I'm back to square one tomorrow...I don't even want to weigh myself for awhile.
I guess I need to change my screen name now!
Take care, all! I'll be looking to you for lots of support to get back on track!

Gee Vacation time is over, starting tomorrow..
Went to Tampa Bay to see Mom & Dad with my sister and my daughter.
My sister invited her son and a friend and my daughter invited her gr/friend so we were a big group. The weather started out bad but by Monday it was beautiful.
For my birthday we had cake with my parents. My mom really looks good since they changed her meds. For those that may not have known she had a stroke last year. She is in a nursing home and i hate every minute that she is there.
Overall we had a good time but you never know how bizarre some people can be till you go on vacation with them.

More later....Have a good evening all.

I'M BACKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!

I'm back home & you guys have to put up with me until Friday, then we leave again until Monday.

I ended up having so much fun!!!! Ate more then I should of, drank WAY more then I should of, but it was really fun! We worked about 4 hours per day, then had the rest of the day and night to enjoy the concert. It started Thursday and went until Sunday of non-stop country music and a variety of artist. In fact, I had a offer to get back stage passes and meet Keith Urban!!! But can you believe I turned it down???!!!! It would of made us run about four more hours getting home and I'm tired!

Jeanne: So happy your back and you had fun!

I'll post more tomorrow, I just downloaded my email and I have 202 messages!

LOVE YA!!!!! Gayle

Gayle-I'm so relieved that you had a good time, and I'm so glad you're back.

Vickster-My bro lives in Tampa. We are going there on July 26th to celebrate my parents 80th birthdays. I lived there 30 years ago. It has gotten way too big!! I do enjoy going back though to see the old town.

I was better yesterday with my eating. No candy at all. My weight is up to almost 132, but I know it will go back down. The hazards of being an everyday weigher. I am going to try my running again today. It has been so darn hard lately. Do you think I'm getting menopausal? I've never had this problem with running before. On the WW boards, they say it could be the humidity. It's probably just me and the few pounds I've put on!!

I'm taking Becky this morning to buy a cell phone. Now that she is making money she can afford to get one. She will be getting a prepaid phone card type that rolls over monthly. That's what I have.

Patty is at my bro's house in NY right now. I can't wait until she returns and I hear the banter of sister versus sister! I do miss her!

Talk to everyone later. Gotta get ready to go out running.

Fully alive
Live the life that you've been given. Live it fully, generously and enthusiastically in each and every moment. Fulfillment is not hidden from you in some secret, mysterious place. It is right there in front of you the moment you are ready to see it and to live it.
There are so many things of which you are capable, you could not even list them all. Instead of making that list, make use of some of those magnificent capabilities and make a life that is filled with richness.

If you were fully appreciative of just one tenth of your blessings, it would cause you to spring to life with such exuberance that nothing would stop you. Consider for a moment what it truly means to be you, here, now. Think about the abundance of powerful, positive options that are available to you this very moment.

Then stand up tall, step forward and live. Live this day for everything its worth and immerse yourself in the joy of being fully alive.

Hugs
Carol

Still maintaining 172. Can't seem to get below that. But I will keep trying. Have a great OP day

Jeanne and Gayle.....WELCOME HOME, WE MISSED YOU!!!!!!!!
I can hardly wait to see some pix!

Jennelle, CONGRATULATIONS ON THE JOB!!!!! I must have missed that somewhere along the way. It sounds like the perfect situation.

Shelley, I started South Beach this morning. I'll let you know how it goes! I'm sure Patty will have many interesting stories to tell!

Carol, your posts are so motivating. Keep up the good work!

Vicki, I'm so glad you had a nice vacation. Bizarre huh? Sounds like some interesting stories there! hahaha

Dee, TDee, Doni, Cheryl, I hope you all had a nice weekend!

We were going to take a long weekend and go to Branson, but I'm so broke I can't even pay attention! So, we'll just lounge around and maybe take the canoes out on a float trip down the Buffalo River.

Ben called Friday night to tell us he would be leaving at 4:00 a.m. today on a TDY(Temporary Duty) He is heading to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to meet up with Vice-President Cheney and will be traveling with him for 8 days. His next assignment will be with the President in New York and Chicago. After that, he may go to Hondurus. His dog is cross trained for drugs as well as bombs and they may have a drug assignment there. I'm not too crazy about that last part, but that's just the mom in me!

Take care all!

Doni - Welcome back! You are so right about having to take care of yourself first! And it sounds like your dad needs a firm kick in the pants!

Shelley - It might be the air quality. We've had ozone warnings here on and off for the past week or so. If the air quality's bad, it's going to affect how you run. Go to weather.com and get your local forecast. It should show you what the air quality is.

Doni, I'm so sorry things have been rough for you. Hopefully things will look up soon and get back to normal. Take care of yourself!!!

Well, this has been one of THOSE mornings. My great aunt died this morning. She was in her 90's. I have a distant cousin who has a 2 year old granddaughter. The mother and father are not married. While the baby was visiting at her father's house, someone beat her so badly that she died. The police are looking for the father and his new girlfriend. Now, I consider myself a lady, so I won't even say out loud what I think should be done to the murderer of this child, but I'm sure you can all come up with ideas of your own. How could ANYONE harm a child... I will never understand.

Well, enough bad news, let's hear something good from everyone!

Ramona-How horrible!! Those people should be hung by their toenails!! I am so sorry about your great aunt. Are you going to attend the funeral?

Doni-Sorry you haven't been well. It's very nice to hear from you though!

Jennelle-I'll go check that out as soon as I finish this post.

Carol-As always, thanks for your motivation!

Thanks Shelley. It will be a short graveside service. My dad will be conducting the service. My dad is an only child and he has one aunt still living. When she passes, there will be no one left on his side of the family. I guess that is when you realize how quickly life goes by.
