now i am trying canada again,but i forget how to make print larger AND colourful and all that------------ i need a new lesson Kahtilinga and paeches {latin spelling}

Wabby 05-16-2003 01:32 PM

Let's see if this will workand what's wrong with regular font, and regular black print. It's easy on us oldster's eyes. Gosh, that color didn't look like Oregon Rain to me.

I don't know if he was really as dumb as Joey, but I had to give him credit for coming into a business w/ a bunch of hardworking blue collar type guys and say "I want to get into modeling, I don't want a job where I have to work hard." That really takes the man berries, doesn't it? Your team is losing because they have a really bad name for a sports team, Bagzie. Everyone knows senators can't ever work together as a team.

DH is leaving all day on saturday to go fishing. He didn't invite me and I didn't ask. Actually I could use the free day.

Hey! Look at me! I started a weight loss journal. I'm sure it will make all the difference!!!According to my computer this is the color of weight loss

Kiwonk 05-16-2003 02:56 PM

Way to go!

I've already read your journal, Wabbit, and commented.

So Bagz, here's what you can do: Hit the quote button on my message and then take a look at the box that you write in, because that is where you can tell what people typed for html stuff.

For instance, this is my favorite "real" color.

And this is pretty big, eh?

And this is what happens when you put in some random place name; you never know what color that will be until you try it.

And most importantly, don't forget to
close
your html
tags!!

Html is just good clean fun, eh?

I'm stuffed

Just got back from dinner at our friends' place. They made potato pancakes and you all know how fatty they are. 3 days worth of points down the tube

Three cheers to Wabby and Bagz for getting the colour thing! Remember when we couldn't even make a simple paragraph? (colour=margarita)

Off to wead Wabby's journal.

Lush 05-16-2003 04:35 PM

i'm going to read wabby's journal. i'm not interesyed in making colors. as a disablrf typist, i can't partake in such frivolity

Kiwonk 05-16-2003 05:03 PM

I like the margarita color

Darling_Peaches 05-17-2003 08:06 AM

and what is your point?

Would someone please sit at the puter all today and cheer me on. The realtor is bringing someone to look at this place this afternoon and YOU KNOW it's a mess. Color=fatso

Ok, here's a cute story about MEEE. I volunteer at ds's school library once a week. An adorable girl who works in there told me she'd miss me and ds's lunches! His lunches? I asked if she was eating his lunches. No, she said, he eats them but he pulls out these wonderful sandwiches with perfect cheese, deli meat, lettuce and whole wheat bread and my friend and I drool. So I told her I'd make her one the next day.

DS told me they loved the sandwich and the friend said, "Your mom is a genius in the kitchen." Isn't that cute???? My sandwiches are most impressive than I thought. Color=skinny

Sorry, can't. I'm sick. I'm going to bed. Now, if you had been up all night and asked me to hang around and cheer you up, I could have done that. I didn't sleep a wink.

How adorable. You are the only person they know who can make a sandwich out of actual food. You should be very proud.

Darling_Peaches 05-17-2003 10:50 AM

Damnnnnn. Here it is Saturday and I'm having a day of cleaning up and wearing my fav clothes which is tee shirt and undies when KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK the landlandy is here in the kitchen. Seems she's hired some tractors to go over the property and wanted to let me know. But she's still here and so are they. Can't even pop out the back door in undies anymore. Day is ruined.

Darling_Peaches 05-17-2003 02:16 PM

I think I'm doing pretty good in spite of the fact that I have no support. Kiwi is asleep; Lush is at a soccer game;Wabby is in the garden; Bagz is shopping in the US for new margie ware; and Sugar is doing whatever it is she does at whatever time it is where she is.

I finally found the vacuum. It was in the fourth place I looked. I considered that a good omen. The house is vacuumed except the bedrooms and I'm doing nothing to ds's bedroom. The laundry is done and the dishes and the floors are visible. The rugs are moved. The cats are hiding. What else should I do???? Where is that List Maker Woman?????

SugP 05-17-2003 02:26 PM

If I had known that Peaches was going to be hanging around here in her undies all day, I would have posted sooner. What a sweet sandwich story! No one ever compliments my sandwiches. :p

We went for afternoon tea and dinner at some friends, one of whom is dh's ex girlfriend from about 100 years ago. She talks non-stop all the time and squeezes herself into outfits that are two sizes two small. That's why he picked me. She has her own dh now to push around :s:

Get well soon, Keeeweeee! Nothing serious, I hope.

Darling_Peaches 05-17-2003 03:14 PM

He picked you because your clothes fit??? Is that the secret???? Oh my. Should I lose weight or buy fatter clothes?

Now, I 'm going to go wash off surfaces in the bathroom.

Please post more Sugar!!! Tell me about the tea.Was it British? We don't have teas here.

Kiwonk 05-17-2003 03:43 PM

I'm here! {cough} Thanks, Sugar, I guess I'll live. I had to miss my nephew's graduation, which I was really looking forward to because we were going out to a restaurant called The Chocolate Grill afterward! Doesn't that sound divine? I slept instead.

Peaches is being so good, and industrious. Did you have to put pants on? What a shame.

I should go make a stab at laundry. I have a strange twitch in my left thumb. It amuses DD to no end.

bye
Kiwi

SugP 05-17-2003 04:44 PM

Yes, well-fitting clothes will get you everywhere. If you're a size 12, don't wear a 10 or you'll never get a man. Or something.

It was just regular tea. We also had ice cream, lemon cake and cream puffs. Hamburgers for dinner. I'll be pulling out my size 14s tomorrow. We were all talking about insomnia and they gave me some herbal tea to try. I just drank a cup and am waiting to pass out in front of the computer.

Kiwonk 05-17-2003 06:53 PM

Hey, where'd Peaches go? I'm back here to entertain and she ain't been here!

I hope the herbal tea works, Sugar. Be sure to tell me tomorrow. I'm going to need all the help I can get once I actually toddle off to NC to visit my lil nephews and soon-to-be-niece. I am so used to staying up half the night, sleeping fitfully for a few hours, getting up to make dd's lunch and eat breakfast, and then sleeping a few more hours during the day. If I have to get up at the crack dawn and go all day with 2 little smiling tornadoes, I will be needing an awful lot more sleep.

Guess what I did since I last posted? I started my lasagna garden! No, I'm not growing lasagna -- it's a layering method of creating a garden bed when none grew before. I soaked a load of newspapers and layered them onto the spot. If I have any energy tomorrow, I will rake up all the leaves I can find and pile them on top of the papers. Rest of the layers will have to wait until post-baby visit. I wonder if I'll ever plant anything.

I'm pooped.

Kiwonk 05-17-2003 06:56 PM

Hey, I just noticed -- 12 votes up there! Where are all these people? Come on, speak up!

Lush 05-17-2003 07:50 PM

pliase explain lasagna garden/

Kiwonk 05-17-2003 10:15 PM

I love it when you say pliase

I bought the book Lasagna Gardening after seeing it at the Flower Show last month. It looks like the ultimate lazy person's guide to gardening, so that's for me. Here's the website

I'm copying some of DD's cds so I'll have good music in the car when I go to NC. If I ever go. Right now it's Dave Matthews

kiwi

SugP 05-18-2003 01:44 AM

Whatever a lasagne garden is, it certainly sounds delicious! (colour=lots of garlic)

Our neighbours, who are in their 50s, have their two-year-old twin granddaughters and their 7 yr old step-granddaughter staying with them today and tomorrow. They'll be exhausted.

Darling_Peaches 05-18-2003 08:59 AM

Here is my complaint list:(color - paprika)I DID NOT PUT THAT FACE IN TEXT !!!!!!!!! I PROTEST FACE INVASION

Have headache from dehydration
Spent day yesterday getting ready for realtor and potential buyers and they didn't come
Landlady is bringing over someone to look at house today who realtor says is not qualifed to buy
Told landlady I suggest she not bring over people who can't buy but she doesn't want to hurt their feelings
Realtor says this non-qualifed person is someone from school where landlady works
Realtor says she talked to non-qualified person and N-Q person called landlady by wrong name indicating nothing positive like friends or smart
Was mean to someone on internet last night and not sure I should've been (but it was an arrogant, pompous, bragging, overbearing male)
Boss scolded me the other day for two things 1) He can't read and thought something wasn't in story that was in first sentence (had to underline it for him to actually believe me) and 2) I left something out of a story that he thinks ought to be there
Hair is ugly
Weigh 141 (cannot eat ANYTHING and not gain weight) Body is cruel.
Have to pick up Ds from camping soon. He's into a phase of not wanting to leave house because he has so little time left here. Hardly supportive.
Don't have man in life
Don't have lasagna garden.
Don't have soulmate.
(color-alaska)

Now will go take shower and spend day dreading return of landlady with N-Q person. Landlady believes realtor not acting quickly enough so she's dragging people in with hopes of lassoing one. Realtor thinks landlady should let her do the job. Landylady hired enthusiastic man with tractor-thing and his wife with riding lawnmower and had them go over property yesterday. They spent hour going near my car. Two acres of land to choose from but felt like clearing around my car first. When I moved it, it was covered with debris. Idiot man said "I'm being careful but this thing slings." Wouldn't sling from other side of property. (color-deeppurple)

Ice the Realtor!!!!! "Torch the House" and other cheery thoughts---------------- :D :D :D

Kiwonk 05-18-2003 02:30 PM

(color=sunburn) It is hot here! DD has been out sunbathing. What a change!

Talked to my sister today -- she's still pregnant, poor kid. And she has a cold, just like mine. I haven't decided when to head out to NC. Maybe I'll take the bus/train.

Y'know, you oughta put spaces before and after your parentheses, Miss Peachfuzz, then you wouldn't look so sad. :dizzy: Your landlord sounds like a real piece of work. Good grief. I'm glad I don't have a landlord. Of course if I did have a landlord, I wouldn't have chunks missing out of my ceiling and floor in the kitchen, nor would I have bats or a leaky roof. But that's neither here nor there. Don'tcha love that phrase? "That's neither here nor there" Covers so much.

I'm going to go look at train schedules.

Lush 05-18-2003 08:25 PM

do you think that anyone who names herself "cool mom" could possibly be?

Darling_Peaches 05-18-2003 08:35 PM

Wasn't that Muffie's original name? Is all that blank space for us to take notes in?

Kiwonk 05-19-2003 02:55 AM

Does Lush have a cat? My cat likes to sit on the Enter key. But her favorite button is the one with the Windows symbol on it. I guess it has something to do with her love of sleeping on Windowsills....

Muffie was coolmomto2 or something, but not here.

I can't decide whether to drive or take the train.

No offense to Muffie or any other coolmoms, but I agree with you Lush. Much like people who call themselves sexy. Even if you previously thought they were cool, or sexy, saying it negates it.

That said, I'm totally uncool.

There!!if i add FATTtt onto the end does that work for you????my sis in law wants to join ww's---------i told her i would go with her----------- i can't belive i am still on this bandwagon,---everytime i try i quit--------but i am so sick of weighing ONE HUNDERRRRRRRRRRD AND SIXXXXXXXXXXTEEEEEEEEEEE POUNDS-------ONLY A LIGHWEIGHT CHAMPION IN THE RING!!!-----but here,mIss Bagzzy on the Block looks like a tank------------ can i do it this time or NOT??????????-------kiwi---take the train, let someone else do the driving----you can read, drink coffee and sleep

Darling_Peaches 05-19-2003 08:09 AM

Does anyone here use CallWave?

I too am uncool and unsexy and unneat. The landlady did not return with the N-Q people. Don't know why. Her dh called and told my ds they weren't coming at that time. My house looks MUCH cleaner and nicer and I'm more in the mood to move.

However, I feel very unsupported by ds who keeps noticing things that are gone (have to throw stuff out) and acting put out.

Lush does not have a cat. Only a little white dogger.

I agree about the train. Sounds funner.

Ok. Bye.

Lush 05-19-2003 10:35 AM

the daily show was very funny, it's a shame you had better things to do. now i'll force myself to do financial stuff.

Lush 05-19-2003 10:55 AM

i have done yucky financial stuff. i will now address my car after shifting the wash.

Lush 05-19-2003 10:58 AM
