How is everyone doing today? Have the storms quit? We heard this morning that Southern Illinois was hit quite heavily last night, including one death in my home county (Massac) and another one in nearby Pulaski County.

Oooohh, Dee--This is the first I've heard about Southern Ill. getting hit. Dang!! My sister lives in Mounds--I guess I need to get in touch with her and make sure she's OK.

Cheryl, I hope your sister is okay. My cousin in Paducah wasn't home, but I talked to another cousin in Metropolis. Massac County was heavily damaged, particularly in the country area. At least 8 families that I went to church with etc. have major damage, including total loss of their homes. One person has not found his mobile home. It's gone! Please pray for these and the others throughout the midwest.

Debbie & Sherry: when are you going to Florida? Also, do you know when training camp starts? I'm thinking now that I'll wait until then to come down. I'm sure it's not much more than 2 months away. I can't believe how fast time moves after retirement.

Dee, called my sis last night. She said they're fine. I think she said they were in Carbondale when the storm hit. It's scary when the people you love are that close to disaster!! Looks like it's not over yet, either. Maybe it won't be as bad this go-round. We can hope & pray!!

Sorry I haven't posted much this week.I've been kinda down this week.I'll share my "fear" with ya'll. Tuesday I went to the Gyno doctor for my yearly pap-smear.When he did the breast exam, he felt a lump.He kinda got upset with me when I told him that I never do them at home.To make a long story short, I'm going Monday for my mamogram.He told me not to worry too much that it was probably just a cyst. But he's also concerned because both my Grandmother & Aunt died from breast cancer.Since it does run in my family, that concerns & worries me.

Doni, Happy 15th! My dh and I will be celebrating our 15th in August.

Sherry, I'm sending some positive thoughts your way about your mammogram. I know what you mean about exams, I've never been good about it either.

I have been op since our camping trip. I'm glad that I have been able to get right back the two times I have gone off plan. I will do it again Memorial weekend too because we are camping. (the devil's playground!) I'm kind of thinking that this is the way that I will be all the time because I don't want to feel deprived all the time.

So what is everyone doing for Mother's Day? I'm going to the spa on Saturday (courtesy of my dh) to have a jacuzzi milk and lavender bath, massage and foot fantasy (foot massage and pedicure) I can't wait!!! But to tell you the truth, I just love getting the cards and gifts that my kids make at school every year...gets me all choked up.

Sherry-You are in my prayers. I'm sure everything will be fine!! I never check myself either. I was supposed to have a mamogram this year, but every year my gyn. tells me to, I seem to let it go by. It doesn't cost anything with the school insurance, it is just something I forget to do. Anyway, I am sending positive notes your way!!
