I went to my 10 year reunion and had a great time. Believe me, a lot of the people who are lawyers wish they were doing something different (I know, I work with a bunch of them). I say go for it!

Well, today is my oldest baby's 15th birthday!! I am going in late to work so that we can go and get her driver's permit:yikes: Then I am letting her take the day off from her school, and come to me at mine and help out anyone who might need her help throughout the day. Tonight, my other child has a string's concert.

Yesterday, my DH was driving our only car (the one with the bad tires) and it stopped completely. Luckily, it was right near the Toyota dealer. He called me up after having it repaired to the tune of $900.00.:( We had no choice. It needed a new computer something or other. It totally wiped out our checking account. If it weren't for bad luck, we wouldn't have any luck!!

Okay, I'm just getting myself depressed---better go before I make all of you depressed!!!

Sorry to hear about the car problems! I hate to get into mine and drive it. I just know something will happen....we spent 1,100 dollars on ours right before Christmas. Oh the joys!!!

Well, I have sucked for the past four days, back on plan today!!!!! I have used feeling sorry for myself as an excuse to cram anything I want into this mouth!

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

It is a cloudy but warm day here. We are suppose to get some rain today. Our city paper is featuring our basement staircase in the paper next weekend. If you girls remember from the pics it is painted down and streaked with a brilliant blue and the stairs are white with stenciled on cobblestone. The columnist wants to get the point across that stairs can be a decorative feature. Then she is going to put in a tease for the next weekend which will feature the rest of our Tropical Paradise. It should be fun. The photographer will be coming in the next couple of days. I had my interview already with the columnist.
Another intresting thing that is happenning in our neighborhood is that thier is another movie being filmed. There is a house a few blocks away. The movie people have moved everything out of the house and redone it. They will be there a month. It is very intresting walking down to see the action. The family that live in the house has the option of leaving the house the way it has been decorated or having them redo it the way it use to be. It is a country charm house with a large porch on the front. Inside was done exceptionally well. It will be intresting to see what they decide to do. They were paid $28000 to move out for the month. Plus they were set up at a very nice hotel all expenses paid including meals. Not a bad deal for a moth vacationa nd cash to boot.
Mom will be starting radiation soon. She needs 30 treatments. She will have 5 a week. She is still having trouble balancing the thickness and thinnest of her blood. I can't believe how much she aged this year. She always looked younger than her age. She will be 69 next week. She now looks old.

Shelley best wishes to your daughter on her 15th birthday!!! Time goes by so fast. Dez has her learners now and that is scarey. Last summer when she was riding her bike she knocked off 3 mirrors off of parked cars. I am sorry to hear that your car had a boo boo. I think that our transmission needs some work too. Always something so that we don't get to comfortable with life.

Carol wow way to go for being on program for 6 days. to be on program at Easter you deserve a medal!

Sherry I think that the reunion will be fun. You can show off yout new body and it will keep you inspired to lose more knowing that you will be seeing all your school friends. Many times through this last week I had a chuckle over something that you said. Remember when you tripped over your baggy pants....not that it is funny that you got hurt but it is great that your pants are getting to big. Try dresses girl!!! You are doing great, I don't think I have ever seen you as motivated before.

Gayle it takes a lonely women to notice knotty Betty Bop! Sorry I don't know any quotes for grad but I would appreciate it if you would share some. Jason's girlfriend is graduating this year and I could use some. Any ideas what I can get her?

Sherry, YES, absolutely go to the reunion! My 20 year was a blast. Everyone had finally outgrown the cliques and we were all on an even playing field....even the doctors and lawyers!!!
This year is my 25th also, but it doesn't look like we are going to have one. That really bumbs me out since I'm 70 pounds lighter than I was at the last one!

Shelley, I'm so sorry about the car troubles. I know it's hard, but try not to get down over it. I hope your daughter has a wonderful birthday!!!!!!

I was gone yesterday. I had to take my folks to the cardiologist. It's a long trip and I always dread it because we hear the same thing......advanced heart failure, nothing we can do. Mom usually wants to stop at Red Lobster afterward and I was planning to eat some seafood, but she just didn't feel well enough to stop.

I'm going to have to tweak my eating plan a bit. I'm afraid I'm getting gout from eating so much protein. I've backed off a bit by adding in some fruit and veggies, but staying away from the starches. This is basically what I did in the beginning so I think I'll be OK. My biggest problem right now is that I'm craving sugar which is unusual for me. Hopefully, the fruit will take care of that.

Shelley - My son will be 16 in a few months...He has his permit already and it's just a little scary. I know he won't be ready to get his license when he turns 16!
