 GOOD AFTERNOON MAGNOLIAS 
Do you realize this is the first day of a new month. Yep ~ July First. A good day to set new goals. It has cooled off to 103ºs today and the weeks forecast is all about the same but up a couple degrees. We actually got a thunderstorm which dripped just a tad bit of moisture when it went through last evening. Sure rumbled loudly but didn't produce much of anything but noise.
We had pot-luck after services today followed by a baby shower. This was their 3rd baby shower and they have gotten some real nice things. In the food line I was so proud of myself but didn’t make a big deal about it for I just filled my plate with a piece of white meat chicken which I took the skin off of and one meatball ~ filling the rest of my plate with fruit that didn’t have any dressing of any sort put on it and fresh cut up veggies such as celery, baby carrots, little tomatoes, & mushrooms. The fruit consisted of blackberries, strawberries, kiwi, grapes, pineapple ~ oh so fresh and ripe and yummy. I also didn’t have any dessert of any sort pass these lips. Nada. I figure I spent only 7 points+ today for lunch and didn’t even miss eating all those yummy ooey goey looking things on the food table. Will passed up dessert also which did pleasantly surprise me which shows me he is really trying to lose. I didn’t care what others were eating just trying to be OP myself.
Will has gone to take a fellow to pick up his vehicle which broke down in a neighboring town and now has been fixed. When he gets back we are going to get coffee and I can be sipping on my sf ff latte while we are out and about the country. I have changed out of my church clothes into more comfortable and cooler attire.
DONNA FAYE Those are nice looking colorful socks. Your husband will have happy feet when wearing them. I find it interesting that you two are getting new things for your vacation. We have gone places so much that we just pack what we have and off we go. I guess we just don't go to the places that what we have isn't suitable.  We have attire to wear that we can smooze with the best of them. You can save the outfits you have gotten for this outing for the next one and be money ahead. For who would remember what you wore before. It is fun to get new outfits isn't it.
JEAN OH those poor folks that have lost everything. Some of the stuff lost is just stuff but the personal papers and pictures and family treasures saved through the years are the worst part to lose. My heart goes out to them having to start all over. Everything wiped out would be a hard pill to swallow. It would certainly be difficult to get back to exact. Re sewing: Isn't that the way of it that you do it regardless of wheather you like to or not ~ like dishes. I hate doing dishes and love my dishwasher but there is always some hand washing to do which ~ I don't like doing. I love the cooking part of meals but not the clean up part but do it regardless.
