Hello Floozies!!!!!!!!

Welcome again to Donna, our newest little chick!!!!!

BTW: Where the heck did Lisa & Jeanne run off to????? I knew we would scare them away!!!!!

Well, Sunday was so warm, just the right temp. to start my outdoor pond digging!!!!! Yes, its true!!! I have wanted a little pond for years, so I am starting now so by spring it should be finished. Dear hubby is helping me with the pond and a stone walkway. I never knew that inches could become so loooooooong when trying to dig to the bottom of the thing! Anyways, Monday hit and we had snow & wind!!!!!!!! Tuesdays here and it looks like the sun is wanting to shine...... might get a little bit more digging in today! Do any of you have an outdoor pond? They call it water gardening and I am trying to learn as much as I can about creating and maintaining one. Any info will be appreciated!

Dieting basically has SUCKED over the past week! Back on plan today!!!!!

I hope everyone has a great day!

Welcome Donna!!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day!!! The weather has turned off cold here too. Even talking of some more White stuff later in the week.

Gayle...Your watering garden sounds wonderful. You are so talented. Hopefully the weather will permit you to finish it soon.

Lisa.....Hope we didn't run you off. Come on back, we just act crazy most of the time...LOL.

Jeanne...How are you doing? Hope you will post soon, we care!!

Got to run now, I'm off work today for a doctor's appointment. I'll post more later.

Default Almost Paradise

ALMOST PARADISE

On Saturday February 1 my beloved husband, my best friend, hosted my tropical 40th birthday bash. It was the best party of my life!

After sunset Larry went out in his rolled up jeans, snappy pina colada shirt, sunglasses and sandals onto the snowy driveway to spark up the Tahiti torches and ice candles. It looked like a runway; bright enough to land any plane. It was the beginning of a balmy trip out of this polar winter.
Desiree dressed in a tan straw skirt and brown firm coconuts and Nichole with her backless orange halter and sarong greeted the beach party guests. The young beauties peeled away the heavy jackets and sent them to Jason the photo guy wearing his corona hat, flaming red and orange shirt and shorts. He shot their pics and prepared them to party. Exotic Ashley with her blue and white flowers and sunny yellow tee escorted the guests into a tropical paradise captivating guest with calypso music. I in my flashy orange and red dress greeted everyone with a hug and a corona with lime.
Blue moomoo’s, straw hats, pink flowered shirts, orange toes, bikini tees, and snazzy sandals, all dressed and ready to party in a tropical setting. Watch out for those Gecko’s on the ceiling! Jokes, stories and vacation memories recounted.
As the dry ice whispered it’s way out of the fountain across the grass and cobble stone path, our steel drummer Clyde played into the night. His sidekick Susie entertained us with stories from Trinidad. Larry and mom danced to Yellow Roses of Texas, while Amigo our pekinese performed tricks.
It was a dieter’s paradise, shrimp rings, taco salad, veggies and dip, torengos and salsa, with of course more coronas. That was the beginnings of an endless supply of appetizers.
Tropical babes served trays of spicy chicken wings, Mexican confetti pinwheels, zesty beef nachos washed down by some rum punch.
Well, before I knew it the birthday song was played and this great looking lady with sexy legs, and young stud served up key lime pie and coffee.
As the evening came to a close, I realized how privileged I am to have so many wonderful friends and a special family that could attend my celebration. And many more wonderful amigas that would have like to attend but could not. Gracious Amigos.

Adios my friends. Adios.

I did not run off. Unfortunately, my cable modem did!!! Well it didn't run off, just pooped out on us!! And I haven't been to work since last Wednesday. I wanted to post then, but sadly we lost a co-worker in a freak accident and my night was taken up by doing paperwork and the like after we took care of him. His family removed him from life-support on Friday once they were all able to be at his side. It was heart breaking but I did get the honor of taking care of him during his last moments and he was a wonderful man. He'll be missed by a lot of people.

School has started and it seems to be quite overwhelming at times but I look forward to having the skills.

Dee happy BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!

Sherry, are you feeling better? I sure hope so. I miss your snowman avatar. We got 1/2' of snow last night, and no school for us today. I was happy actually to not have to get up at 5:30 this morning to get our 12 year old off to school.

Well time to get some more work done and put the finishing touches on my homework.

There seems to be a lot of sorrow these days. "lisavemt", I am sure you're feeling sad about your co-worker. Except for a few "cliques", our office wasn't that close, but did seem to band together with tragedy. I can imagine how it would be if co-workers truly liked each other.

Today I watched the Columbia memorial. That was very emotional. I'm not a Bush fan, but he did a positive job with his speech. The pain is the children's eyes won't be forgotten soon. It was reported that one of the little ones had said the day the shuttle was launched. "I lost my daddy". Oh my.

Hi Ya'll

What a week this has been so far!! Whew...I'm already worn out! There is so much sickness in my School. We are behind in the office from doing our work because we have spent 2 days calling Parents to pick up sick kids.Stomach ache, head ache and fevers! This virus is really going around. We sent home 65 kids yesterday & today!! Poor little ones.

I made an appointment for the Dr. for tomorrow at 3:00.Maybe she can give me something temporary for my depressed moods.

Donna*****Again.... WELCOME! I do hope that you will continue to post with us.Did you get a chance to read our Bios and get to know us a little better? I'm looking forward to getting to know you too!

Vicki*****'ve been thinking a lot about you.I hope that you're doing ok.I know that it will take time but please remember that we're here for you.

Shelley***** I read that you're down to one car.Does this mean that they couldn't fix your car? I bet that is a bummer! I hate having to depend on someone to take me somewhere. Hope all is well with you. PLEASE,PLEASE give us the scoop on the confrontation with MIL!!!! I'm about to die to hear about it!!

Jennelle*****How is your School? Any sickness there? Are you still OP? Have you lost anymore weight? I know that you're busy too but please try to stop in and say hi.I miss your post.

Thanks for that Sherry and Dee. I have a food mover I'm no longer using, would you be interested in it? and the books that go with it also? Let me know.

I know all about that flu virus going around, our 5yo got it Friday. After talking to parents yesterday, I know why. One mom let her VERY SICK son attend school on Friday afternoon, so he could participate in the "p" picnic the kindergarten classes were holding. Sheesh.

Ok time for more homework...yay! I can't wait for school to be over with!

Lisa: Silly girl...classes just started!!! Sending prayers out your way for the co-workers family. I am sure that work will not be the same....it was nice that you could help him and be with him during the last moments.

Sher: I was on paxil for awhile. Maybe it will work for you. I fight mild bouts of depression and anxiety. Good luck with the doc!!! BTW: Allison is once again in full swing!!!!

For some reason, I can't view the pic Deb....

I hope everyone is well!!!!

Hi everyone!

Thanks SO much for the warm welcome! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

I haven't had a chance to get caught up with regular or the bio thread, so after work today I'll do so. I'll also post my bio as well.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Dee: THANKS for the pics!!!!! Looks like everyone had a blast!!! I looked for "gecko mamma" but she must not have been there. I also want a coconut bra like Dez was wearing! I will tell you later why! I just mentioned it last night to Steve.
