A little birdie told me that someone very, very special on this thread will be having a birthday in a few days........how many years??????? Almost a baby New Year huh????? :D

Shelley: Sad to hear that MIL could not keep quite for the holidays. Some people seem to get joy out of hurting others. Maybe if she feels that your Husband didn't deserve gifts, then she doesn't deserve having visits from you guys or the kids.

Trying to get over Christmas, it was a day filled with food, family and running in circles!!!! WHEW!!!! Now I need to stop and rest. I ended up with lots of goodies (no sexy undies like Dee) but lots of paints and supplies, a new coat and tons of other things.

Well today is the day to clear out all the wrappers and boxes from christmas.
It is also many great boxing day specials.
Best sales of the year happen on boxing day.
Larry went out and bought a orbital exerciser.
Haven't been able to try it I just hurt my back christmas eve.
Hope that everyone will come back and post even if it is just a short one.
My brother and his family will be coming today from out of province. It will be so nice to see them.
Mom developed another blood clot on the 23. The dr's were trying to get a hold of her all that day but they were out. She was suppose to go in to hospital for iv for the blood clot. Same procedure as before. They only got hold of her in the afternoon of christmas eve. She decided not to go in that day. She will go in tomorrow morning and we will see what they will do. She has increased the komidin for thinnning her blood, the bad thing about that is that it could affect her liver. She still hasn't heard back on the results of what is going on with her liver. Her counts were up so I am not sure if increasing the meds is a good thing. But what is the worst of the two evils? Well there always seems to be something going on there so I should just take it in stride. We did have a very lovely christmas and christmas eve with her.

Gayle I think that coat of your could be pretty sexy! How about wear it with out anything underneath? lol

Shelley I am proud of you for just hanging in there and not losing it when your mother in law says naughty stuff. It shows your kids that dispite what mil says you have respect.

Sherry I hope that you enjoy your time with Chris and Zack. I am sure that you must miss them.

Debbie glad that you are feeling better. It sure sounds like you had a busy christmas.

I sure hope that everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas!! I sure did.I'm kinda of glad that's it's over though.All this running has taken it's toll on me!

Today is the 1st time that I have ever been shopping the day AFTER Christmas.Mom & I spent the day together.I got lots of goodies to put up for next year....for HALF PRICE!! It was fun!! :lol:

I got lots of "Coca-Cola" stuff that I didn't have, a George Forman Delux grill (it has a bun warmer on top), set of luggage, and lots more things.I feel very blessed. I never dreamed that everyone loved me this much.

Ya'll will think this is weird, but I have never owned a pair of walking/tennis shoes.I have always bought and worn the white Walmart cheap kind.Well this year Debbie bought me a pair of Reebok walking shoes! I love them!!!!! I'm almost 43 and just got my first pair of REAL shoes!!!!

Dee^^^^^^Well we don't have "boxing day" here but I DID clear out all the paper and boxes and put things up this afternoon.I wanted to take my tree down but I promised Wayne that we would keep it up until Jan.1st...(To have good luck he says!) After Christmas I like to put things away and get my house back to normal but this year I'll just wait.I will continue to pray for your Mom.I know it must be hard for her and the family.My Mom has a damanged liver AND down in her back, so I know how you feel.I love every moment I spend with her.Again, I will pray for her.:angel:

Shelley^^^^^^I am so sorry that your MIL showed her a** again on Christmas Eve (Of all times!) Especially in front of the kids again.You're a much better person than that and she KNOWS it!!!!!! You're also a stronger person then me because I would have said something very ugly back!!! But I'm glad you didn't.I know that you didn't want to bring yourself down to HER level! Is Your FIL still around? If so, what is he like?

Sherry-Good for you on getting walking shoes!! It will make all the difference in the world! My step FIL died a couple of years ago. My DH real dad is nowhere to be found. We haven't heard from him since about 10 years ago.

Dee-I will say a mishabera tonight for you and your family. The youth group from the synagogue is having a lock-in tonight, and since I am the advisor, I will be there too. Should be loads of fun. I only hope that I can stay awake to supervise!! I have a co-advisor too, so I won't be the only adult there.

I got a great feeling pair of running shoes. The guy at the store took 1 look at my old ones and told me exactly the type I need--stability or motion control. I bought a pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS. They were $85.00, plus I got a pair on inserts for 28.00. Needless to say, I spent all my Christmas money and more!! I am going to try them out this morning. They are a full size larger than I normally wear and wider also. Hopefully I can keep all my toenails on my toes with these shoes. I could have gotten them about 20.00 less elsewhere, but now that I know the type I need, I can get them next time on the Net or at a discount store.

We are going to Larry's mom's for christmas dinner to day. Another big dinner.....oh boy I don't know if I can fit another one in, yeah right I will do my best.

Dee.....

Mom was told that she had Cirrhosis of the Liver about 11 years ago (she does not drink either). She had the "old" bypass surgery to lose weight about 20 years ago.In the blood that she received,she got Hepatitis C which in return went into Cirrhosis.Since the liver "regenerates" itself, her liver is now holding it's own.She has good days and bad days.The good news is, she has lived 5 years longer then they said she would!! :angel:

That's why I know what you're going through with your Mom.Enjoy her EVERYDAY! :)

Hi Floozies! I hope everyone had a very enjoyable Christmas!(Shelley, sorry the MIL was so insensitive. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior).

We had a very nice, relaxing time. I went shopping on the day after Christmas for the first time in about 20 years. It was kind of fun, but would have been a lot more fun if I'd had any money!:lol:

I got some new shoes, a leather purse, cologne, house shoes, and a big outdoor George Foreman grill that uses a propane tank. It is on wheels and folds up to move or for storage. I can hardly wait to use it! Oh yeah, my SIL also got me a king size zebra print throw to cuddle under when I'm reading.

I read this quote last night and thought it was very appropriate. I am going to do my best to live by it............

I am going to give it my all to make a new ending for the year coming up........one in which I am substantially smaller!;)
