We put the tree up tonight---still needs more lights though-----i have a bunch of presents wrapped===first time EVER to have anything done this early=----that's what you get for being stuck inside with ROIDS-----man i am tired now---nite nite
|
Poor Bagzie, our comrade in cowdom, fallen by the dreaded Roids. Have you ever discussed them w/ your Dr.? I once had to sit thru a detailed description by one of DH's friends about his roid surgery. For some reason he thought I wanted to know all about it. :o
I have most of my shopping done. I spent the weekend doing it, so my house and the rest of my life is in a shambles. I made the mistake of going with a friend on saturday. Big mistake. All I managed to get done was 1 gift, lunch and sore feet. I carried a bunch of my friend's gifts though. So on sunday I did power shopping. No friends, no husband, comfie shoes and a wad of cash. Kiwi, thank goodness your DH is ok, sorry that your Explorer is smashed up. Can it be fixed or are they talking total? It seems it doesn't take much for insurance co's to total them out anymore. The problem w/ a new thread is that with my impaired intellectual ability I have a hard time remembering what we were talking about. :dizzy: |
Big honking migraine. blah and ouch. Can hardly wait for school concert tonight :headache:
Don't know yet whether the Explorer will be totalled. It was a lot of damage -- we went down to the garage yesterday afternoon to see it in the daylight. The cop at the scene estimated $4000 damage, so that wouldn't total it, but I'll bet it's much more. By the way, Bagz, my Saab hasn't moved for 2 years  The only way DH could smash that up would be to run into it with the plow! Come to think of it, he has been a bit of a disaster lately; maybe that's next. Oh, and there was a lot of ice on the road when he spun out. I hate ice. Our whole driveway is ice now. Well, DD went to school. She's a tough kid. I ran after her up the driveway this morning with sudafed and a bottle of water  I almost died from that -- lord, I'm seriously out of shape! Hey, give me a break, my driveway is uphill and almost the length of a football field. I'm measuring it tomorrow. I'm probably wrong. It's probably 50 feet or something. Sheesh, I'm such a wimp. I haven't received my exercise tape package yet. Just wait. Bagz, you're such a good cowie. I want to remember to dig out some jackets we don't use anymore for the Coats for Kids box at the store. I usually do a charity gift thing every year, but I haven't seen any in town. I'm actually done shopping except for a short list I'm going to finish probably Wednesday. I don't have to wrap much until I get to NC, so I may actually be able to concentrate on packing and finishing my cards! Right now I'm listening to the Benedictine Monks chanting. It's sort of soothing to my poor head. Kiwi |
Ppl are really bugging me lately!!!Not you ppl, of course. Just ppl of the 3-D persuasion. I woke up this morning to DH griping about his socks. "All I ask is that I have a lousy pair of socks clean" was the direct quote. I don't care that he apologized all over himself - I ain't talkin' to that man until I thaw out and that might be springtime. I actually have nightmares about laundry - I do laundry for 5 adult ppl. I work full time (well I'm here 8 hrs a day, just not always working), I cook, I clean, I take care of every little detail of that man's life. I told him "believe me, you ask for a h*ll of a lot more than clean socks."
Sorry. I just had to rant. :fr: |
You know, it's only fun to rant when you cows come and commiserate with me. ;)
I've caught your headache, Kiwi. Did your DD dazzle you w/ her performance? |
Poor Wabby!
I am a laundry pile washout myself. I can't deal. I thought I was caught up enough to maybe only do a couple of loads this week before we left on vacation. Wrong. DH needs underwear, jeans, shirts. I need sweaters washed. It will take forever. Meanwhile all I want to do is sleep.
DD did well in her concert. The band sounded really awesome and the chorus was very good too. God I'm boring. So, maybe if you didn't do anything but wash his socks for a month or so, he might wise up, eh? That would be a fun experiment. "Why's the refrigerator empty?" "I had to wash your socks" "How come you weren't at work today?" "I had to wash your socks" Ta. I have nothing to say. Kiwi |
And you actually went on a cruise with the guy, Wabby? Cut him off, I say! For a couple of days at least.
If men only knew how hideous sock washing is. Actually, it's not the washing, it's the sorting and folding into little bundles, isn't it? I seem to be coming down with something but it's been in the coming down with stage for too many days now. Can't really tell what it's going to blossom into. Just in time for Christmas. Yay. Off to bed. Hope your migraine's better, Kiwi! Is Peachy already on the boat? Why hasn't she contacted us from the Tiki Lounge? |
i used to have major **** about sox---now i put ALLLLLLLLLLL the sox in a laundry basket---UN-sorted---If anyone wants a pair,he or she must dig around and come up with a pair-----now i mostly buy just the white sports sox which are of course UNI-sex=-----all of you are getting or being SICK!!! that is because the stressed out women are in charge of CHRISTMAS!!!! that is what causes migraines, roids and lethargy-----in short,MEN cause them remember---MENopause,MENstural cycle, blah blah blah,i am boring.---Kiwi--when do you head out????i forgot to say---we have a MaRDENS in Calais tooooo
|
I love your idea, Kiwi. What's for dinner? I don't know, I'm sorting socks. You can't walk through the house, but the socks are white, bright, and clean.
I have almost your method, Bagzie. Everyone's but mine are matched up and stored in a plastic bin in the laundry room. I like the idea of letting them match up their own socks. DH apologized a million times and also went to the store and bought himself a bag o' socks. He's trying to weazle his way back into my good graces. I kind of like this. He made coffee this morning and brought me a cup. He said "here's your coffee" I said "thank-you, you know a cup of coffee is all I ask." ;) Geez, Bagzie, and you say that you're boring. All I can talk about is socks. Poor Sugar P. What a lousy time to be coming down with a bug. The Dr. called with my surgery date to have my gallbladder yanked out. Jan. 6th. I wonder how many other organs I could do without? This may be a new weight loss method. |
Isn't January 6th Epiphany?
What could that have to do with Wabby's gall bladder? I bet there's some deep-seated meaning there. Or else it's the day after the doctor gets back from his ski holiday in Aspen!:dizzy:
Feeling much better. Still can't figure out which part of me is broke, though. I think it's the sinuses, as usual. Got *all* my cards written and will send tomorrow! Yay. World record for me. I usually do it in January. |
I can't find my sox either and I wash them myself. Dom't you have one of those laundry services that will come to the house and pick up the sox? Sorta like an old-timey diaper service. I think they have them in big cities.
I leave in two days. today I came home from work, crawled into the bed with my clothes still on and fell right asleep. It was about 3:30 pm. I hope I'm awake during the cruise. Bagzie, sweetipie, I called the post office and they said they'd see what they can do. I haven't received cards from anyone. I haven't mailed any either but that's different. |
thank you peachers----i am so excited for your trip!!!! i will accept a postcard from the ship in lieu of a Christmas Card----i need to see something warrrrrrrrrmmmmm----it is freeeeeeeeeeeezing up here in the tundra.good night sweet cows.
|
Peachy, you still live on Swordfish Avenue, don't you? I hope I sent my card to the right address.
If you get sick in the cruise, one of those handsome doctors will look after you, just like on Love Boat. Get this: went to the post office today to send all the cards and letters and wanted to send a big picture book to adorable nephew in Vancouver. The chick at the counter weighs the thing and says "That'll be 28 Euros, please!" THAT'S 28 US BUCKS!!!!  To send a kids' book. Thanks, but no thanks - it's going to sit around here until nephew comes to visit. He'll probably be 18 by then.:dizzy:  Also: ds6 comes home from school last week and says "Here, we get a free class picture because they lost my portrait." I say "Whaddya mean they 'lost' it? Where is it?" He says, "Mrs. N. says it wasn't with all the other pictures she got." Geeeeeez! Why does this always happen to us? I went to talk to Mrs. N. today and made her promise to ask all the other teachers to look one more time. You have to treat these people like preschoolers to get results. Apparently some other teacher got a whole bunch of class pictures from Mrs. N.'s class so the photographer probably screwed up at our expense. Nothing *ever* works at this school. It's like a curse. And I want that picture of my babyyyyyyyyyyyy because he looks so cute with three teeth missing on the top. Enough complaining. I'm off to bake fruitcake. Not the kind you have to leave for 6 weeks. The kind you can eat the same day. With NO peel. I hate peel. Got another present for dh - a mini paper shredder to destroy his top secret documents. How exciting.:^: |
Hi ladies,
Remember me, I posted a while back asking if I could join your circle...:D I started reading your threads everyday and you ladies crack me up.. you are all so funny.... I can just picture you all..... The story about the socks..when I had all the boys home.. and I have 5 of them.. plus hubby, I got so mad about socks.. nobody ever had any no matter how often I did laundry, and I did it like 4 times a day... anyway, I finally just threw them all in a large wicker basket and made them make their own matches... now that it's just dh and myself, youngest is off at college, I still put his in a smaller basket up in our bedroom, they are matched up though...it's just easier than packing them into a drawer...:) I donot really believe you are all slobs... and I enjoy reading the do to list of one of you gals... my sister and I used to do that all the time... share our lists of things to do with each other.. didn't make us do them any faster, but helped us see what we had to do... and reminded each other of things we'd forgotten.. Anyway, I just had to say hi this morning.. the sun is shining here in Michigan and its 39 degrees and no snow.... though we may get a few flurries tomorrow.. but I am just full of the christmas spirit, I finally got it.. and wanted to post. I gather some of you are in Canada.....and have snow... well do us a favor,, and keep it...LOL my ds#2 who lives in Calif. now is coming home tomorrow and he wants snow... but no one else does... :s: Well, hope you all have a very Merry Holiday...and hope you don't mind my posting.. Dahlia |
Honk..Snort
I have what Sugar has. I think my sinuses are doing some kind of slow death spiral. I feel crappé. I am on my last load of laundry prior to packing. Of course I should be actually packing.
Dahlia, post away, we love to talk to normal people  Oh yeah, I should actually send those Christmas cards to people, not just address the envelopes, huh? Darn. Guess you'll be getting your card after your cruise, Peachpot. Have a wonderful time. I'll wave from the plane. I'm totally bummed out about your ds's missing picture, Sugar. Would you like me to come over and look for it? I would be so mad if that happened, although I have to say that this year is the first one in a long time that DD's school picture didn't have some weird expression. It's actually very good. Would you believe that people outbid me on those bras?? :yikes: And you thought nobody would buy bras in an auction. I raised my bid at the last minute and got one of them. Goodie for me. We had Christmas for just us last night (after my marathon shopping trip to the "big city"--which nearly killed me :faint: ). We got DD a featherbed. She loooooooooooovvvveeeeessssss it. I got a new TV for the kitchen, a nice little 13" one. I've always had one in there, but it doesn't work right. You have to bang on it to get a picture. Now I can watch HGTV and cook at the same time. Or I can argue with the news commentators while washing dishes. Or something. Need to do something to further this packing enterprise. Ta Kiwi |
Kiwi, I don't understand the feather bed concept. What do you use for sheets? Does the feather bed go under your sheets, or do you sleep on it sans sheets. If so, how do you clean it? Please explain. I got my DD a down comforter. It was a close out at TJ Maxx. It's a queen size Fieldcrest and it was only $59. What a score. Then I found the perfect duvet cover for her. It was on sale for only $39!!!! It is plum velvet, w/ 2 shams to match. This was my big score of the Christmas shopping season. :cb:
Hey Dahlia, I do remember you. How are you? I'm so impressed that you raised 5 boys and lived to tell the tale. Thank you for believing that I'm not really a slob. I always tell ppl that when they come to my house, I tell them that I'm neat and tidy, it's just that I live with messie ppl. I still have not done my Christmas cards - you all may be getting New Years cards. Or Valentines. ;) And yet here I sit at my computer, not getting anything done. I baked cookies last night. 3 different kinds. I've only eaten 3 of them. Are you impressed? I am. Sugar, bummer about DS's pictures. Don't they realize how valuable those are to us moms?? Kiwi, can't you just buy bras at brasrus.com? I couldn't stand the suspense if I had to bid for them. Besides, I always get the same brand and same style. That's why I decided I want surgery. They discontinued my bras and I can't take the humiliation of trying to find a new style. Bye, Peaches!!! Have fun and relax and rest. I wish I could go with you. |
Why I Am Not Getting Any Christmas Cards from Canadians
By Peaches They are all using wrong addresses. Yes, Sugar, I live there but I don't get mail there. At all. The mailbox is taped shut. This happened when I spent all my time at Herbie's. Really ... I thought everyone knew enough to check with Kiwi before mailing anything. But it was sweet of you to try. Tomorrow morning, we drive away. (What does Dahlia mean that we're not slobs? Are we too subtle?) Here's my mom complaint for the week. DS goes camping with scouts. Scout men can't or won't go so it get shortened from two nights to one night. Scout man who is all for going is stressed. One other guy goes but still it's stressful having a bunch of kids around acting like kids. DS is standing around doing nothing as is his way. Man tells DS to help somebody do something. DS looks and deduces that no one needs help.Everyone is doing fine. DS goes to a thingie that two guys take down/put up together and wait with his hands in his pockets. Man loses temper and says mean things like "Do you only move at one speed?" Etc. Snatches things from DS's hands once DS tries to get in gear. DS hears him say to another boy "Are you stupid or what?" Fortunately, he did not say this to DS. I report all to scoutmaster who is wonderful and who says he'll look into it. Scoutmaster gets back to me in a few days that man is a good man and was stressed and how we all snap under pressure. I guess. It sounds reasonable. I should relax, right? Just that DS is only single-parent kid there and I feel there's a disadvantage in not having a dad to punch somebody in the nose if they single you out. See youse later. Peaches |
Oy, me too dum 2 live
I used the shark fin soup avenue address too. Fortunately, I have procrastinated long enough about sending cards out that I still have it.
That guy is definitely a meanie, Peachie. Very bad for kids' morale. DD had a teacher like that once. I used to hear the woman screaming at her kids in the hall, calling them stupid (back when I used to work in the liberry). The deal with the featherbeds is this (and it took me years to figure it out -- DD has wanted one for a long time!) -- you put it on top of your mattress, then you put a sheet over it. I suppose a lot of sheets wouldn't fit very well, but then again a lot of sheets would. The featherbed itself has to have a protective cover too. The cover I bought is cotton with apparently a very high thread count -- it almost looks like sateen. So hopefully with the cover being washable and having a sheet over it, the featherbed will never have to be cleaned :crossed: Wabbit, I have to admit I laughed when you said you made 3 kinds of cookies and have only eaten 3 of them. All I could think was you made 3 kinds, you ate 3 kinds. 3 whole batches. I'm so brain dead. I am getting really sick. Sinus, sore throat, headache, achey face. I'm going to be a mess, aren't I? Anybody have any suggestions on how not to die on the airplane? Oh, in case you were wondering, we're leaving tomorrow. I'm thinking a bottle of water, a big wad of kleenex and some decongestants. I've been sucking on Coldeez all day. To no avail. Ta Kiwi |
Hmmm, so my card to Peaches will be returned to sender? I really did send one! I can't keep track. So, Peachy, are you sans mail now?
Kiwi, I also am glad your dh is safe and sound. That sounds like exactly the sort of thing that would happen to us. I sent out cards complete with obnoxious letter bragging about how wonderful my kids are. No pictures though. We ran out of time. I'm maintaining my current level of fatness, which is amazing, considering I've eaten nothing but cookies for a week now. Back to crocheting. Oh yeah, and work, too. |
Bye sweeties!!! And Cherry, it's ok. When the card comes back just ask Kiwi where to send it. In the future, you should all remember that Kiwi is an excellent record keeper and take advantage of that gift.
*kiss* *kiss* *kiss* You'll all have flowers waiting in my room, right?:balloons: |
Have a lovely lovely time
Peacherino.
I am leaving in less than an hour. And it's raining up here in icicle-land. I hope that doesn't mean ice on the runway  I just have one more thing to say -- Bagz is the most wonderful creative delightful Bagziewagzie in the world! And she knows my address!  Kiwi |
It's probably too late, but 'bye Peaches and Kiwi!! Have fun.
Do the rest of us feel like kids that got left behind when our parents went out, or what? I still have one more shopping excursion to go on, then I'm done. Overdone. We have an open house tonight, an open house tomorrow night, a brunch sunday am, an open house sunday eve. Tomorrow morning my 2 sisters and I are taking my mom to www.bonnevilleresort.com for a mineral bath & wrap, and a massage. Would anyone else like to go?;) |
Hello from
sunny North Carolina! What a change from Maine. I'm going around barefoot, and most of the time, it's too darn hot in this house! I am at my sister's house, I'm still sick, real sick--just a really bad cold, I guess. The flights down here were pretty much of a nightmare because I was so congested, although we didn't lose any luggage and we were only an hour late :dizzy: .
Tomorrow we're going to see Santa!! Yay!! Maybe he'll let me sit in his lap. Yeah. Everyone have a wunnerful Christmas. That spa day sounds like heaven on earth, Wabbit. I want to go! :chockiss: :chockiss: :chockiss: Kiwi |
Hi Kiwi! I'm so happy they have the internet in North Carolina!!;) I'm sorry your plane trip was miserable. I always get on the plane feeling fine, but I always catch a bug by the time I get off. All that recycled air in an enclosed area w/ sick ppl like you!!!! The hotsprings resort was wonderful. Next time I want to go and use their pool and whirlpool and then get a massage. The place is absolutely beeeeeutiful. Very rustic, w/ a huge 3 story stone fireplace, cozy sofas, a crackling fire. I wish I were wealthy. I'd go visit there at least once a week.
We had fun at all the Christmas parties this weekend, although it did make me a little envious of everybodys big beautiful homes. Even DH's baby sister has a beautiful new home. Unfortunately, I'm sure my family could have a new house looking just like the old house in no time at all. We're in the home stretch now, girls. Almost Christmas. :D |
Yes, I know--I have been feeling guilty since the moment I realized I was getting sick. How can I get on a plane, knowing I'm sick and no doubt contagious, not to mention how miserable it will make me? How can I go around in public, breathing nasty germs out? How I can I go visit my pregnant sis, the kids, my parents et al, knowing I'm probably going make some of them sick? And furthermore, how could I NOT? So here I am. All I do is wash my hands incessantly. The only person I'm sure I have infected is the old lady who insisted on shaking hands with me right after I blew my nose and before I had a chance to wash. (Honestly, my skin is practically coming off, I'm washing so much  )
Also I can identify with your parade of homes. My little sister's house is lovely, spacious (her boys' clothes closet is twice the size of dh's and mine), clean and nicely decorated. I can't do that, never will. If we get into a new house next year, I don't know how I'm going to keep it from becoming a shack, but I hope I can figure it out. Almost through wrapping presents! Not done sending out cards, but I'm getting there. Kiwi |
Good morning ladies,
Just want to wish everyone a blessed Christmas... enjoy the next two days and have fun with your families... Dahlia |
Well, girls, my house is a tip. TG we are not having any company. My mom is coming over, but other than that, it's just us. We were going to go to the big family shindig, but the SIL who is having it invited all but one person in the family. Who does things like that on Christmas? Anyway, we politely declined using my mom as an excuse. Which she is, really. She's pretty bad. She's on hospice now. We could have gone, but the reason no one is fighting with us is that we don't participate in things like that.
I got Wabby's card, it is gorgeous. What good looking kids, and parents. She is not fat enough and I will send her Gyros to fatten her up. I also got Cherry's card with the letter, I LOVE those. I know everyone says that they are corny, but I love to get them. BAgzie, THANKS!!!!!!! Since I am so behind, you supplied my MAIN Christmas display. In truth I've done nothing. I would go through the long boring litany of how horrible the last couple of weeks have been, but I'm too tired. Suffice to say that when Santa came on the fire truck this year, my son couldn't immediately go to the street because he was throwing up in the front yard. Kiwi I have your cold. I am concerned about you flying. Be careful of your ears. Everyone is exposed to colds every day. Either their resistance is low and they get it or not. If it wasn't you it would be someone else. I'm so sorry you guys, but there has to be a list. I dreamed this morning that my kids came in at 7am on christmas and wondered why they didn't have any presents. I should move.......I'll do my list on the next message. BTW...isn't Sissy rude for not making sure she had a satellite hook-up so she could keep in touch with us? |
Ok, here is is..... I don't have a decent book on tape. I may be forced to finally listen to "the Sum of all Fears" which my friend Greg left for me over a year ago. I'm not exactly a Clancy girl, but I'll try.
1. shift wash(It's only taken me a half hour, but I'm about to start) done 2. unload dw ok 3. load dwok 4. clear counterok 5. clear kitchen table...dd baked cookies last night ok 6. kitchen floor ok 7. make stuffing ok 8. put in turkey...oh did I tell you I'm on for a turkey dinner tonight ok 9. do steps displayok 10. do kitchen display. ok in allthese years, have you ever seen me do all 10? I told you I haven't even decorated. What a holiday loser I am this year. I'll be back with a progress report. I'm sure you'll all hang on your computer until I get here. |
Merry Christmas, Cows!!
So sweet of everyone to check in. Peachy has an excuse, I suppose, but I'm sure that if there's a way, she'll find it.
It's the afternoon of Christmas Eve - that's when Santa comes to my part of the world. But not for another three hours or so. That's why my kids are running around screaming. Actually, they are trying to watch "Pipi Longstocking in Tika-Tuka Land" to while away the hours, but it's not working all that well. Freezing rain everywhere, streets are like a skating rink, traffic advisory has warned people not to drive which means...ta da...the ils won't be at our place this afternoon (I will say just a very small yahoo and hallelujah at this point) Ahh...I can stay in my jammies all day if I want and just slap dinner on the table. No, of course I'll be getting all dolled up and creating a feast. We have to go to the ils anyway tomorrow to eat a goose and get more loot for the kids, so all is not lost. So sorry about your mom, Lushy. You are so dedicated. Enjoy your quiet Christmas at home and thanks for *the list*. Hey Kiwi! Maybe you'll find Frappe when you're down there. Check the after Christma sales. Maybe she's right across the street. Don't feel guilty for being sick. I'm sure you didn't infect anyone. My mystery ailment seems to be be going away. Just when you think you're about to croak, you get better, eh? Maybe the sun will do you good. Wabby! I'm sure you're spacious villa is just gorgeous the way it is. I'm afraid to even let people in to our little hovel. It's gotten a bit better over the years, but it's far from beautiful. Oh well, we do what we can, right? Merry Christmas to you too, Dahlia! Hope you enjoy the holidays. Off to wrap more gifts! |
next list:
1. make sure kids have decent clothes to wear tonight ok 2. have a cup of coffee ok 3. get a shower and get dressed decently ok 4. find out what time church is 10 PM 5. put away all the boxes full of what should be christmas displays oh well, better next year 6. set tableok 7. go to store and buy christmas ornaments for kids...since I forgot ok, got Disney since we were there this year 8. clean up turkey mess dd did it 9. relax and quit yelling at everyone I did take a nap but I'm still yelling 10. have eggnog good idea, I'll go do that now. |
HELLO DARLING COWS!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! i am ordering flowers from coast to coast for all the people who sent me gifts in the mail and i am WAY too lazy to reciprocate!!!!how easy is that---although they kind of ragged me out for calling so late!!! now that i hear about lushie's troubles i would feel guilty sending my display pictures-----fortunately i went to someone's home on the weekend who had such gorgeous stuff i felt i had onlh created the Ticky tacky Palace at my place.ANYWAY!!!!happy holidays to you all and to all a BIG FAT FEAST!!!! [in truth we are all a little down around here without George, but we are doing our best to rally around sis and kiddies and the kids really are doing well----they still are big santa fans as they are three, five and eight SOOOOOOOOOOO god bless us,everyone!! i am hoping to catch the really old Scrooge that is a musical---anyone know if it has a different name like maybe ' a christmas carol'---all i know is---its' rate old!!! xoxoxoxo
|
Well, it didn't stop you from tormenting me, did it? Your pics were gorgeous, darling. I have to say, this dump doesn't look half bad. When I came back in after going out I noticed that the displays I did do look nice. The family room is undone and the outside is minimal, but I'm not ashamed of the rest of the house. (except the kids rooms, which are horrid)
Here's my next list: 1. get turkey out. done 2. put pot and turnips in done 3. cook beans overdone 4. get cabbage ready done 5. get corn readydone 6. do rolls done 7. shift wash (yes, even on Christmas eve) dpme 8. watch Charlie Brown with the kids done 9. Stop yelling at everyone for sitting around while I run around like a nut. well, 9 out of 10 ain't bad. 10. feel sorry for self and Kiwi who are suffering mightily with colds. poor us Unlike nice Kiwi, I don't feel guilty at all. So there. |
Oh Kiwi, don't feel guilty- I was just kidding you! There's germs floating all over the place this time of year. The only way to avoid it is to quit breathing, and that wouldn't be a good idea. Enjoy your family and the warm weather.
Lush, you are my idol. I think I should post a list too, maybe I'd get something done. I've just been wandering around the house today feeling overwhelmed. Here's my list, then I'll be back. I'm sure you'll all be interested. 1. Put load of wash in, so we can take showers with towels tommorrow am. -done 2. Unload dishwasher.-done 3. Load dishwasher & clean off counters.-done 4. Clean toilets & wipe down bathroom counters. 5. Sweep kitchen. 6. Do a coat & shoe pickup. 7. Clean out nasty food from fridge.-done 4 out of 7 is better than my usual odds. I may even get to the other 3 yet. I just wanted to get back here to tell you all that I wish that your Christmas is merry and bright. Our group is headed up to my Mom & Dad's for food, drink & gift giving in a bit. Lush, I'm so sorry to hear that your mom is not doing well. I'll be thinking of you. Merry Christmas, Bagzie, Lush, Kiwi, Sugar P, Peaches, Cherry, Frappe and Muffie where ever you are, Brattie and Dahlia. God bless us every one. |
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I am the last one up tonight; I was cutting up the celery and onions for the stuffing. I am an expert chopper, y'know. I actually went to church with my parents and my sis and her family. No, the church was not hit by lightening or anything. :p I am feeling a little better today, off and on. Maybe only in comparison to my poor kid -- she woke up in the night to throw up and has been throwing up most of the day. No idea what the problem is, most likely stomach flu I guess, because now that she has stopped throwing up for a while, she has a fever. Poor thing has been laid out all day, not able to do a thing. We even went over my parents' house (they live 5 minutes away) and opened a present each, but she couldn't go :( . Of course she couldn't eat any dinner; I don't know if she'll even feel up to opening presents in the morning. We're dropping like flies around here! With my sister pregnant, we all expected to help out a lot, but it hasn't worked out that way. DH, however, has been doing a lot of dishes:s:! Racking up those brownie points. He even spent a few hours alone with my parents this afternoon! So anyway, here's to a healthier new year for all of us. Has anyone else been eating too much? :nono: Don't lie! :nose: We took my sis and BIL out for dinner last night, as if we were like food deprived this time of year or something  , and stuffed ourselves silly on lovely gourmet yummies. I had filet mignon  I am a big :ink: Well, gotta go check on my little sweetum and go to bed so Santa can come visit. Everybody have a good day! Best wishes to your mom, Lush. Kiwi |
