Warning Labels (?)
In case you need further proof that the human race is doomed because of stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods. On a Sears hairdryer: Do not use while sleeping. (and that's the only time I have to work on my hair). On a bag of Fritos: ..You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. details inside. (the shoplifter special)? On a bar of Dial soap: "Directions: Use like regular soap." (and that would be how???....) On some Swanson frozen dinners: "Serving suggestion: Defrost." (but, it's "just" a suggestion). On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom): "Do not turn upside down."(well...duh, a bit late, huh)! On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding:"Product will be hot after heating." (...and you thought????...) On packaging for a Rowenta iron: "Do not iron clothes on body." (but wouldn't this save me more time?) On Boot's Children Cough Medicine:"Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication." (We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5-year-olds with head-colds off those forklifts.) On Nytol Sleep Aid: "Warning: May cause drowsiness." (and...I'm taking this because???....) On most brands of Christmas lights: "For indoor or outdoor use only." (as opposed to...what?) On a Japanese food processor: "Not to be used for the other use." (now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious.) On Sunsbury's peanuts: "Warning: contains nuts." (talk about a news flash) On an American Airlines packet of nuts: "Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts." (Step 3: maybe, uh...fly Delta?) On a child's superman costume: "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly." I don't blame the company. I blame the parents for this one: On a Swedish chainsaw:"Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals." (...was there a lot of this happening somewhere?) |
Good one Sher!!!! Hmmm..... Japanese food processor....

Anyone making crafts this christmas for gifts? If so what are you making? I need a new project, I am bored.
DEE |
Dee, since your into wine, have you seen the wreath's that you can make using old wine corks??
|
Gayle-Ralphie's so cute!!!
|
No I haven't Gayle do you know where I can look that up on the net?
Is your wine or beer ready to go yet? You know what? I really only liked white wine before until we made this last batch of red. Red wine realy warms me up. White just doesn't do the trick. It is so freak'n cold here I need something to keep me warm when Larry is away. DEE |
Ralphie says THANK YOU for the kind words!!! I believe that Ralphie might actually be Ralphette????
Dee, if you go to ebay, do a search #1921920406 & #2076256671. This is a kit and one made up... My personal favorite is #2076771830, the crafter added pieces of grape vine and clusters of grapes. It looks like basically you start out with a straw ring/frame and start hot gluing your corks on in a pattern that you like. Looks like it might take 250-300 corks per wreath... Oh my gosh, guess I better get back to drinking!!! My first batch of wine should be ready the week before Christmas, it is only 1 gallon. The other batch I just started this week, so it will probably be ready for the New Year, it's 6 gallons worth. Now I am in search for wine bottles. I didn't realize that each batch would take up to 30 bottles!!! Steve finished out his beer, bottled it and let it rest. We could sample it last week. He LOVES it!!! I tend to go for the "weaker" tasting brews like coors or bud light. I hope everyone finds the time to post a short message and let us know how your doing!!!!!!! |
Gayle I guess if you made canadian beer it would taste a bit stronger than what you are used to. We find american beer watered down. Though I do like labatts lite or bud lite.
Thanks for the info on the wreat. I will look it up right away. Anyone else any more ideas for crafts? DEE |
Dee...........Do you cross stitch?
|
