Sassy..I am praying for your MIL and hope everything goes well.

I am just feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything right now. Life has a way of smacking us when we are already down. (or pulling the rug out from under us when we think we are UP)

Reading through these post.....love the interaction, hope to contribrute. I've been a member for awhile but just re-entered into posting and getting back into the journey of losing. I had a good week but have been slammed with a cold, stress & acknowledging that my before pics (which are current pics) are horrific. It's kind of like the first time hearing your recorded voice..."nawww, that's not what I sound like!?!"
Anyhoo, hoping to have some great progress pics to offset the before pics!

Today was totally crazy. I didn't get to sleep until 6am!!! I have no idea why I'm having so much trouble sleeping lately. It's really holding me back from everything!! I did lose 2 pounds though. I'm sure it's from starvation though. I'm never awake long enough to eat 3 meals. I need to see a doc about this..but I'm scared of being accused of being a drug addict again. :(

We were going to go the aquarium today..but by the time we were ready to go, we would've only had an hour of fun there. Totally not worth it. We went to the mall & saw Morning Glory. It was cute and pretty funny. We went to dinner at Applebees...for the Veteran's Day meal. But our stupid waitress didn't give hubs the correct menu..so he almost paid full price for his meal. But our waiter fixed it so he could have a discount.

After we came home, my computer started acting up. It froze every 5 mins!!! I pretty much lost it. I almost threw it against the wall..but hubs came in and pried it away from me. He installed a defrag program on it...and I'm on my iPad (my phone battery died).

Okay..hubs is calling me...ttfn

BTW Sassy..you'll quickly find out who I'm obsessed with on Twitter, LOL!!

FRANCIE...yes, purple! The plan was to do pink this year and daughter kept saying I think we should do purple (her favorite color). I said no, lol! But then we were at KMart, of all places and they have/had a LOT of purple decorations for the tree (Jaclyn Smith collection) and it is purdy! So daughter won out with her purple, lol. SHE was the one in a hurry to decorate and she NEVER is, EVER! We kind of switched postions this year...I am so not wanting any part of Christmas! Anyway...CONGRAT'S on the 2 pounds! Hope you can get on a regular sleep pattern...that would kill me! I have a twitter account but never really got into it and can't remember what it is lmao!

JULES...how are those sweet little grandbabies of yours? Dominic is so big! They grow so fast! Lily's new thing now is twirling...she goes around one direction and then stops and goes the other, too funny.

Well, nothing really planned for the day or weekend. Same old stuff, different day. Went for my walk this morning, 50 minutes and getting ready to do a dvd, shoot I might do 2 today if I get bored. Not watching Lily today and I really don't know what to do with myself when I don't have her to watch. Heading over to the sons later for dinner and making dessert for that later. Doing some laundry and reading...so much for my 60 book goal...I will get close but definitely won't make it unless I start adding all the kids books I have read, lol. Just had some lazy reading months. Need to add my miles for last week...since I waited this long might as well wait until Sunday and add this weeks too! Not doing so great with the eating this week. Thinking it's stress.

But on a lighter note I did get a job, woohoo! Working for my son, lol. He goes to the University and also works there doing studies on kids in Head Start and kindergarten I believe, might just be head start but they are 3-5 years of age. Wanted me to do some of the studies which entails going to the different schools and testing the kids...stuff like looking at pictures and just asking them what it is or what they see, if they know what number or letter it is etc. Anyway...with watching Lily I couldn't really do that (well, I could but then that would put J & C in a bind...seems we all are struggling a little right now) so they needed someone (two someone's, me and daughter, lol) to do the data entry and I can do that from HOME! Yay! It's something. Anyway...

Thank You for your lovely comments and I shall reply back later, but for now I have to VENT!!

Most of you know we are moving out of our current house. Well the landlord has a For Rent Sign in the Front Yard with his Phone # on it, so um people can CALL him to set up an appointment for a showing since um we are STILL LIVNG HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

Well just a little bit ago two men get out of their car and go around to MY BACKYARD poking and prodding about!!!!!!!!! :mad: WTF?! Just because there is a for rent sign in the front yard does not give you an open invitation to come looking around! You can PLAINLY see that people are STILL living here! We still have our stuff here!!!!!! Luckily DH sold his motorcycle or I would have been EXTRA P.O.ed if they were outside around it! I should have taken down their license plate # and called the cops on them! It was two men so there is no way I'm going to confront them when I am home ALONE!

OMG it makes me wanna chew out my landlord for putting the sign out there in the first place! I know he has to rent it out when we leave, but OMG!!!!!!!!!!! He has it on Craigslist, why does he need a sign too? Can't he wait to put out the sign until we are GONE?!!! Oh wow I went to Craigslist and he has the FREAKIN' ADDRESS POSTED on there!!!!!!!!!! He needs to take that off until the house is empty. He can put where it located, he does not need to put the address so people can just stop by. Well DH just called, so I told him, he wasn't happy about people just stopping by either. He's going to call and speak with the landlord.

I dunno it just makes me wanna go into SUPER PACKING MODE and get the heck out of here!!!!!!! :tantrum:

Funny how hard it is to stay angry/upset when you go work in the yard.
It is in the 70's and so pretty. I dug up a passel of irises and re-planted elsewhere. Hoping they won't look so crowded next Spring.

Trying to get the house cleaned and ready for a family card game tomorrow. Will put beef stew in the crock pot and serve with hot rolls. Then we always have tons of snacks and desserts. Never lack for food or fun. I was just thinking how dull my life would be if I didn't have my in-law family to spend time with. They are all great fun....

Sassy- I don't blame you for being upset. I bet you would have freaked out if those guys had come up and peeked in the windows. :)

Cristina- Good for you on the job. And something you can do and still watch Lily. Yay. I wondered if your DD was working or in school...and now she will work with you and DS. Yay again. She is so pretty. Keep up the good exercise. I swear if you could work out for me I could do this...lol...I go for a long time eating right, just can't get the exercise. Then I give up..grrrr.

Francie- Thanks for the hugs...I need them. Hope you can get your sleeping back on track. If I go without sleep I am no good to anyone. And if I get way too much I am worse.

ninacali-welcome to our kindergarten. As you can see we come here to chat and often vent. I have always said that having girlfriends to vent to has probably saved many marriages. :) Please come back often and tell us about yourself.

I am still feeling overwhelmed, but just NOT letting it get the best of me. Mom has 3 new meds for me to work into her schedule and show her how to use (we are both learning) Her new diagnosis is COPD. On top of all she is dealing with and all I have to do for her it just hit me hard.
Other family ups and downs..a grandson who is trying my patience, missing my son, daughter and grandson...just everything heaped up.
I will survive........

I have some GREAT NEWS!!! I dunno if you've heard..but New Kids on the Block & the Backstreet Boys are going on tour together next year. Well..after joining both fan clubs, lol...I managed to get 2 tickets to see them in NJ next June!!!!!!! :carrot: :carrot: :broccoli: :broccoli: I cannot believe it!! I'm still in shock. I've been waiting 20 years to see NKOTB!! I missed out on seeing them during their last tour because we were moving here. I've seen BSB 3x in my teenage years. But I'm mostly just excited to see NKOTB. The little 5 year old inside of me is screaming & dancing for joy. Okay..maybe the 25 year old me is doing that too, lol!!

Sue~ You snuck in there ;) What is COPD? Take things one day at a time..if anyone upsets you, well..just smack them on the side of the head. (not really..but you can pretend to). Will you be able to see your kids for the holidays??

COPD is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Mom has shortness of breath and often feels like she can not breathe at all. It gets scary at times. But she is on one inhaler 2 times a day and one once a day. Then she has an emergency one if she gets real bad. Thank goodness it hasn't gone far enough for the emergency inhaler yet. The Dr. is hoping a month of the daily inhalers will improve her situation a lot. We will see.

She also takes 5 pills in the morning and 6 at night for other ailments. Then her pills for her pain 3 times a day and another every 4 hours. So I just feel like I am always pushing pills and trying to make sure she is not running out of meds. Calling drs. for refills and calling Medco...it is just never ending. Thank goodness mom is able to do most things on her own still...but she doesn't make phone calls to drs. or for meds. because she can't hear well.
I have made file cards of all her meds. for her and I each to carry in our purse. I have made lists of when she needs re-fills and lists of dr. numbers. I am getting organized, but slowly. As I said before I/we will survive. And I am feeling better about it tonight. I just got into a grumpy place for a few days. Getting organized made it seem more doable.
I am just so thankful to have my mother here with me that I feel bad about complaining now...I know several of you would love to still have your mom and I truthfully cherish every minute with mine.

The problems with grandson and missing my kids..well this too shall pass. :)

DH emailed the landlord (current one) about the "looky loo's" yesterday and he apologized and said it was ok to go ahead and pull the For Rent Sign in the Front Yard, said no money exchanged hands yet, but he's pretty sure he's got it rented! YAY! Now he just needs to pull it off of Craigslist! So I went ahead lastnight and PULLED that sign out of the yard before I went to bed! HA HA!

SUE...lots of hugs to you! :hug: Daughter is in college...she has taken classes and classes and classes and finally decided what she wanted to do and is working towards that. She is working on her Associates in English and will go to the University next year for her Bachelors in Womens Studies and then Library School. Enjoy your Sunday with the in-laws!

SASSY...glad that is taken care of and the landlord didn't get mad. Of course I would have confronted the guys, I always do if I see something strange going on, lol especially if someone is in my yard. I like your siggy...that is so true!

Went over to the sons for dinner last night and that rice is not agreeing with my stomach today...I think they poisoned me! I'm kidding of course. It was actually good. That's twice this week he has cooked for me and I love it, lol! Heading to a Pow Wow tonight at about 7. Started today about 1 but the dancing they have during the day is boring. They do all the other different dances in the evening...even though I would rather stay home in my comfy jammies and read and watch stupid movies, lol. No exercise today...taking my break today. Not sure what the weather is supposed to be tomorrow but may go to the park for a walk. It is chilly out there today...and the wind is blowing making it colder. Went from 76 one day to 55 the next and I am not sure what it is today but it is cold!

Okay, going to go get some more reading done...take care

Sue~ It's okay to feel grumpy. I felt that way taking care of my mom sometimes. Keeping up with all the medicines & doctors is a lot of work. It's good that you're being organized. You don't have to feel bad for complaining. What you're going through is a lot..especially emotionally. We're all understanding and here for you no matter what. :hug: :hugs

Cristina~ How was the Pow Wow? Did you dance? Can I go next time? I love to dance, lol!! Although, if it's line dancing..then n/m. I can only do the electric slide, macarena, & that one cha cha dance, haha!!


So last night I lost my mind, and bought 2 more concert tickets. This time to see a band, 30 Seconds to Mars. They are playing a special NYE concert in Vegas. I bought the 1st package, which includes a meet & greet with the band. I'm so excited to finally meet the guy I've been stalking on Twitter. He's the lead singer, lol!! Look up the band if you wanna know who he is. (He's also an actor..)

OH...I actually slept last night. I tried different sleeping pills, and they worked. I didn't think they were going to. But around 4am..I dozed off. I ment to take them earlier, but lost track of time. I did wake up at 10:30 though. I stayed in bed thinking I could get in some more sleep..but one of my cats was willing me to get out of bed to feed them. I'm up so early, I have no idea what to do. And what is that bright light outside? It burned my vampire eyes. Haha!!

Okay..going to find something to do. BBL
