Hey hold your head up and another poster was right, use all this alone time to better yourself (I'm going to get a little tough love here, but remember it's all love) take the energy you're putting into feeling out and down and channel it into jogging, or walking or learning to crochet and go to school! Trust me, when you start making changes for yourself, then the friends, social life and boyfriend will follow. But you can't do all of those things until you work on you. Trust me, in highschool I was the quintessential fat girl loner but when I learned (in college) that being fat didn't make me a pariah, I got out there and I'm just now deciding to lose weight. Sure, I feel like knocking some poundage off will make me a little hotter and a little more awesome, but I already am hot and awesome, this is just icing on the cake. Keep smiling and remember: we're all just works in progress.

The tip from luckymommy is a great one. If you like dogs and can provide a good home for one, head to the shelter! A dog can make an absolutely wonderful friend. I've struggled with depression off and on for years. At my absolute lowest when I didn't even want to get out of bed, I had NO CHOICE. My dog depended on me and only me to get my butt out of bed and take care of him EVERY DAY, no matter how I was feeling. You will always have a perfect exercise companion that is ready and waiting for a walk around the block. A great friend that doesn't care at all what you look like as long as you are always gentle and kind to them. Since you are living with your Mom right now, you should talk to her and see what she thinks about adding a dog to the family. Regardless of what you decide, hang in there. Life is full of ups and downs. The downs can be heartbreaking, but the ups are simply incredible.
PS: Puppies can be difficult especially since you are a bit low on energy right now. If you've never owned a dog before get one at least 1-2 years old. Good luck!! |
