  • What's your plan like? Calorie-wise and exercise? I am curious in others plan of attack

For me, I have been following calorie plan of 1350-1700 and exercise I do 5 days of HIIT @ 30 minutes and I walk/jog 4 miles in place 7 days a week.
  • I do 1200-1400 cals per day (currently, I switch it up sometimes) and try to get in 45 or so minutes of low impact exercise a day. I would do more exercising, but I have an injury that prevents it.
  • I am just starting my journey, well at the end of April I did. I signed up at the YMCA and was trying to do the elliptical until my knee started hurting. So...now I'm only swimming. I was a competitive swimmer from 6 - 18 years old...so I'm fairly good in the water and can work up a water sweat. I have had personal trainers before work with weights with me, but I can't afford that now. I could add weights in, but haven't figured out a plan on what to do and how much to do. So...for now I'm swimming and I'm trying to eat 1200 - 1400 cals per day. I'm going to be interested to see what others say.
  • I wish I knew how to swim instead of sinking like a rock lol
  • i eat about 1200-1400 calories a day, and exercise 60 min 6x a week. i'm consistently losing 2-3 pounds a week, so it works for me.

    That's awesome!
  • Well I just joined the site, and I have not yet formulated my diet/exercise plan. Since I am 5'0 I thought this post was interesting. I have just order the GoWear Fit, so I guess I will let it tell me about how many calories I should eat. As for exercise, I am really just starting out on this journey (again), and it doesnt take much for me to get tired. I guess I will just start out walking on my treadmill. I would like to aim for 30 mins a day at least 5x/wk, but I may have to split that up into 2/15 min sessions. Its not much, but its a start which is better than nothing.

Onederchic - I read your journey and saw your picture post. THAT IS AMAZING!! LOL, I am going to make you my new inspiration to try and copy!! Seriously amazing! You should definitely be so very proud of yourself!! LOL, I am proud of you and I dont even know you! I think your story is the most impressive one I have read thus far. Congrats!!
  • I am doing WW and Calorie Counting...so my point range is 24-29,my calories 1200-1400.
I need to incorporate more exercise, right now I only do the wave by the firm 3 days a week. I do try to park farther away and take the long way to get to my destinations. I was more active in May and lost 7 pounds, so I know exercise would help matters, just have to make time to do it. I would like to get to the point where i do it at least 5 days a week.

    Congrats!!

Awww, thank you so very much. Good luck with your goals. I look forward to reading and following your success here
  • I eat between 1200-1400 calories per day. I strength train for 30 minutes 3 times per week, and I walk 3 miles (outside or using Leslie Sansone DVDs), also 3 times per week, on the days I dont do strength. I dont workout at all on Sundays.
This plan has worked WONDERS for me, so far so good.
  • I eat 1200-1400 cals a day and am right at the end of C25k, which is 3 days a week. I just signed up for a water cardio class at the Y, which specifically said 'not for beginners' and I am really excited to start that.

I have been stuck on 131 for several weeks now and I am going crazy!!! My weight loss has slowed waaaaaay down.
  • I am doing Weight Watchers. I have an app on my phone that will count points and calories, and I average between 1,200 - 1,500. I also do Wii fit plus and the "OMG, is this what **** is like??" program, otherwise known as EA sports Active or Wii active.

lol I will have to google that one
  • yeah I tend to exaggerate, but it is a good work out. Just not used to it is all!
  • I just started about 4 days ago. I have cut my carbs way back. I eat way too many carbs & they are my down fall. I lost a lot 6-7 yrs ago by cutting carbs then slowly went back to eating more & more carbs. In the last few yrs I have tried other types of diets but didnt work. I would cut back on carbs & loose a couple lbs but would go right back to eating carbs again. I know carbs are my downfall & I know that I need to do this & stay with it. If I can get threw the next 2 weeks I think I will be ok.
