Joy - I'm sorry that I'm trying your patience. Believe me....I really want to achieve my 10% goal today, and I'm trying!! Prelim weigh in yesterday showed I was the same...but I'm hoping today's scale will be kinder. Heaven knows I've been working my arse off, staying OP to get the weight off.

Go, Shad, diyana, fra!! :flow1: Ah shucks, fra, I don't think piano takes any more discipline than any other instrument. It does take concentration to try to play it well and it's so easy to lose a day or two and really hear the difference but..like I said...I think that goes for any instrument. Thanks though. Day 20 is complete. Today I raced around the town and ran up steps and down steps and tried to catch trains that were uncatchable. I sure got my time in today.

I did complete the challenge. Just couldn't get into the thread yesterday for one reason or another. So I am about to start a new one which is:
The same one - at least thirty minutes of non stop fast walking but this time 2 legs of the trip will be running - or at least my version of running. I've completed todays trip so day one is done. Actually I have no idea how I am going to complete this one. It will need some thought. Since I have 3 hours of travel to get to and from work and then at least 9 hours at work. It will be dark when I leave and dark when I get back, but I may just have to bite the bullet and walk the streets in the dark. |

day 17/21 training everyday for pushups 0 pauses used day 17/21 training everyday for a handstand 1 pause used I'm almost at the end and I'm seeing an improvement on the pushups.. I am able to go lower and lower.. the handstand bit as you know is much more complicated.. but I'm thinking, it may get a bit easier if I lose the extra kilos of fat.. muscles are useful, but fat makes balancing muuuch harder.. I saw that with upright balance; once I got more muscles in my legs and less fat everywhere, balancing improved dramatically. So... uh, also! Girls, reading all your challenges inspires me to do more, so informally, out of challenge, I have been decluttering, power walking, training abs, and reading more! |
Shad - Congrats on completing your challenge and starting the new one right up. Running, huh? Wow! I'm very impressed! Every time I talked with my doc and PT about slowly beginning a running program, they advised against it because of my back. So I applaud you, running :queen: :cp: :cp:

Guess I am going to have to rethink this one. The walking is easy, but trying to find a space to run is going to be the killer. I can walk from Roma Street to Milton - 1.5Km and back. That's no hassle, but I can't run it with a handbag and lunch etc. So I will just continue with the walk for the time being.
