Sounds like a pretty good deal Vonni!

I didn't end up going to the gym last night :( I was soooo tired and also sore from Monday's session. It must have been a really good workout on Monday because I'm still sore now!

So I went home and fell asleep on the sofa at 6:30 last night, obviously needed the sleep. Food intake wasn't wonderful but not too disasterous either.

Goals for today:

1) Make good decisions in regards to what I put in my mouth.
2) Go to the gym, even if it's just for a very light workout.

:twirly:

amouse 08-18-2009 06:08 PM

I was bad yesterday.. but am going for the straight path today.. no badness at all... but at least i walked the kids to school ... lol ... so that takes care of about 100 cals of badness.... lmao .

Today is wheels day at kindy.. so that should be fun.. i must remember the camera... :) ..

after that im doing what a girl does best.... shopping.. yippee .. :) will have lunch out too im guesing.. :) but thats ok plenty of good healthy choices out there.

Vonni the gym sounds great :)

Sue im glad you feel comfortable with the jc programme .. its roughly 1200 cals a day isn't it?

Julia monday must have been a fab workout . well done to you.. :)

barbegirl71 08-18-2009 08:29 PM

I had a skinny day yesterday! You know a day where you feel like you've lost a bit of weight, your clothes feel comfortable and you walk tall!!! More please. Feeling good about yourself is half the battle won!!!

LittleKiwi 08-18-2009 08:32 PM

Check this out. I just bought this t shirt online. http://www.1-daytee.co.nz

So cool!

hi guys. been pretty good the past couple of days. definately drinking some water, about only a litre a day but thats better than what i HAVE been drinking. Yesterday to eat I had only a low fat muffin for brunch (no time for brekky lol) and a pork (lean) steak with sticky sauce (prb not that great in calories but i only had a little and it was homemade so i can control what went in) and a vegetable and basmati rice stirfy about a soup ladel full.

Today I have had a muesli bar, a bikky and dip (homebrand) and naiughty meat pie for dinner. all in all though i think calorie wise it was ok.

Renny Sue 08-19-2009 08:27 AM

Well I had my first weigh in today, after four days on the program. 1.4kg lost! So excited!

My goals for tomorrow are going to the gym.

7senuf 08-19-2009 08:51 AM

:carrot: renny sue :D

LittleKiwi 08-19-2009 04:47 PM

Congrats RennySue that's great!

I had a great day yesterday. Made good decisions with food and enjoyed a good hard workout at spin class. One track was 9 minutes long with the whole time spent out of the saddle!

Today my goals are:

1) Make good decisions with food.
2) Finalise my grocery shopping list and do my shopping after work.

:twirly:

amouse 08-19-2009 06:39 PM

FANTASTIC renny sue thats a great loss.. :)

Lila Leeds 08-20-2009 12:54 AM

Congrats Renny Sue.

I know this is going to sound awful, but as much as I have loved spending time with hubby while he is on holidays I can't wait till he goes back to work! I'm missing dieting, missing exercising, missing being in control of my eating.

He's been off for 2 weeks & I've gained a kilo and a half in that time.

Roll on Monday!

amouse 08-20-2009 02:40 AM

guess what i got some good news... i got a gym buddy :) .... and together we are goin to do 4 classes a week .:)

sunday morning body combat
monday night aqua
thursday morning aqua
friday night body jam

im seriously pumped about it i have wanted to go to the other classes but been too chicken to go on my own... so PERrrrFECT:)

Lila Leeds 08-20-2009 02:59 AM

:carrot:Good on you Amy:carrot:

I plan on hitting the gym on Tuesday - can't wait!!!

smylie 08-20-2009 07:46 AM

ok dont have time to reply to everything
julia that shirt IS cool, did you get it in green or red?
amy - woohoo to gym buddy I LOVE body pump if you can try that one, the dancing ones scare me!!
vonni - wow you been eating good - you rock - how is the gym going
RENNY SUE - 1.4KG :carrot: that is so so awesome

me i am eye of the tiger tonight i did boxing with sterling and i REALLY like it
and my "choice" to not be fat is still "working" i dont care about food it is just fuel for my body, i dont even need to avoid it AT THE MOMENT, i even bought cheese today to have in the house to add to recipes if needed or add a little bit to my salad or whatever as a treat but i know i dont need to go overboard or stupid as that IS stupid and choosing to be fat

LittleKiwi 08-20-2009 04:49 PM

Oh that website changes daily Kel, the t shirt I got is Mutton Dressed as Laminton and it's AWESOME!! I'm trying to figure out how to attach a pic!

I had a good day with food yesterday :D

Today my mouth is very sore again :(

Goal today is to make good decisions with food. I won't be going to the gym because I've got family in town for the weekend and am going out for dinner with them. The big challenge of the day will be to make good choices at dinnertime!

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. I'm working at my normal job from 9:30am until 1pm and then going straight to Christchurch's biggest stadium and working as an usher at the rugby from about 1:30pm until finish which should be around 7pm. It's my first shift at this new job and I'm really looking forward to it.

Alan 08-20-2009 05:06 PM

Alan from Adelaide

Hi, Have been on 3FC for a couple of months now, and have just found the Aussie connection.
Thought I woould say hello, and give everyone my brand of encouragement!
I am seventy...until September, when I get another year older :D ...but have managed to make it so far in reasonable shape.

Buying the right food is the answer for me. "You caint eat what you aint got" is my motto.

Keep smiling!

Alan:carrot:

amouse 08-20-2009 06:34 PM

smylie 08-20-2009 07:37 PM

teehee hi alan you can be an aussie chick! true you cant eat what you dont got, but i am (at least this week) seriously working on will power, i bought some low fat cheese yesterday at the shops!!

amy - you are less than i was last week, wow wow wow wow wow wow
and wow

julia - that shirt is so funny, i have some naughty shirt websites i buy shirts off i think i have told you the one i bought last "if a fat girl falls in the forest do all the trees laugh?"

barb - that baby is seriously seriously beautiful, not cute beautiful, so tiny and yet seems older than newborn!!!

LittleKiwi 08-20-2009 08:29 PM

Hi Alan, welcome aboard! :welcome2: I'm Julia and I'm a Kiwi who's found my home here with the Aussie chicks. Love your motto! I totally agree, having the right food in the cupboards is a big part of the battle won.

Well done Amy on another great result. You're SO CLOSE to double digits! :cheer3::cheer2:

Yeah Kel I'm stoked with my tshirt it really appeals to my sense of humour!

Welcome Alan. There's a rooster among the chicks!!!

Here's our little girlie.

LittleKiwi 08-21-2009 05:45 PM

Aww Barb she's lovely!

I had a good dinner out last night, nice and healthy. Unfortunately it was chased by a big ice cream! Doh :halfempty

Today I'm working at my normal job until 1pm and then heading to the stadium to do my first shift at my second job, ushering the crowds at the rugby.

It's going to be a full on day with lots of standing and walking around which should be good. I've got some lovely steaks defrosting and will have steak and salad for dinner tonight.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

:twirly:

7senuf 08-21-2009 09:17 PM

Barb she is so pretty. I bet she will be very spoilt.

Worked the other night and worked with midwife to deliver a baby. was awesome. but funny as we only 1 mid and another lady came in already wanting to push so we had to get another on staff asap. the bubs ended up born only 15 minutes or so apart. Ours was awesome but needed a little help to get going. so was scary for my first but awesome to have that kind of experience and i kept calm cool and collected woohoo. I've been in delivery before but more as an observer not a doer.

i have a very stuffy head cold at the moment and everything tastes like crap so i am not eating... haha prob binge though when it goes away.

Kel did you have a hair cut?

Amy you roclk going anyway to gym.

Julia hope u have an awesome time at the stadium. you'll be run off yr feet no doubt.

Welcome Alan. hgha at Barbs rooster comment.

amouse 08-22-2009 01:27 AM

the body jam class was seriously great fun... but i was the only one in the class.. lol..

but then it was probably best since i am a complete novice and she could show me what to do .

boy did i sweat.... even got a stitch near the end..

and was expecting to be very sore today but nope i am fine

Took the kids fro a 3 hour swim at the pool..... i was slower then usual i have to admit... and at one stage i got a mnor cramp... bhut other then that i was fine.. which was a nice surprise....

oh.. and this might sound odd.. but since i started aqua i have been able to just stay still and float in any position... i could make a ball of myself and still manage to float with my head and shoulders out of the water ... ... but not any more... i tried to stay still when was in the deep end with Leah and i sunk.... .... so i spose it is true what they say fat floats... and now i must have less of it... ... which must mean i have more muscle then i used too since my weight hasn't moved that much.. ..

anyway cool thing to figure out...

7senuf 08-22-2009 04:29 AM

Amy you crack me up :dizzy:

PerthChick 08-22-2009 05:00 AM

I suck at maintenance!

And I have been struggling to find my motivation, but I won't give up. This week I am going to nail all my goals and get back on track.

I have a small extension on my book deadline. I have to hand the manuscript in to the publisher in just 13 days, so I won't be here much until then but I've been popping in and reading whenever I get a chance.

No more chocolate!

Alan 08-22-2009 06:38 PM

Thanks for being so accepting girls.
To be honest, until now I hadn't give a thought to being the only male. In my last thread there was a Lawrie, and I thoughtn she was a man. Derr!;)

Since I have not yet been ejected, I guess I will enjoy being here, if you can put up with me!

You never know, with my 70 years experience (although most of the time I feel somewhere between 45 and 55) I may have something useful to say.

Let me know when you've had enough :-)

But I want a secret ballot please :D
Alan

smylie 08-23-2009 07:15 AM

ani - why is it that you suck at maintenence? which of the goals that you set yourself everyday are you NOT achieving?? no more chocolate? wont that just make you want it more and blow it when you do have it??
i think i have finally learnt and have had 2 "servings" of the cheese i bought the other day, a slice on my "benji sub" yesterday and some grated cheese on my mostly eggwhite omelette this morning.

i am SO hoping that the scales tomorrow reflect the Post Choice mindframe i am in - i am so so hoping i have lost weight but regardless i am getting fitter, i can be bothered to do more etc
today benji and i finished the major bits of the chookpen and went and bought boxing stuff, i am loving boxing with my trianer at the gym and now i can do it at home, i got the boxing bag out and dusted it off and found my gloves so now we bought some resistance pads so i can punch at benji rather than just the bag!! i cant wait - i am ROCKY hehehe

tomorrow morning weigh in!
woo hoo

and yes vonni i got a hair cut - when i am happy with it i will take a photo heheeh (it is not bad there is just a bit at the front that needs training oh and at the back)

LittleKiwi 08-23-2009 05:17 PM

Alan I'm sure you'll have lots of useful things to contribute! We're not too scary a bunch of girls and we won't turf you out on your ear :D

Sorry to hear you're not doing as well as you'd hoped Ani. It must be very distracting though having the book's deadline looming. This weight loss game takes a lot of hard work and concentration! Keep at it though mate, you'll get there eventually

Vonni it sounds like you had a great experience at your first delivery! Awesome :D

Some of my friends at work do body jam Amy and they love it. That's cool that you got to have a 1 on 1 session with the instructor :cb:

I had a good first shift at the stadium. I had 4 doors to monitor, just had to approach people and say hi, show them to their seats etc. Once the game got started I just wandered up and down, keeping an eye on the crowd. I was there for just over 5 hours, on my feet the whole time which I'm not used to so I was knackered by the end of it.

I sent the boy down to Dominos and we had pizza for tea. Not the best choice but by god, I savoured every mouthful. Next time I'll know to have something prepared before I go to work.

Today I'm feeling really tired and unmotivated. Haven't got any food prepared so will have to buy lunch which is always a bit of a pain. My goals for today are:

1) Make good decisions with my food intake.
2) Go to the gym, even if it's just for a 20 minute walk.

:twirly:

smylie 08-23-2009 05:42 PM

down 300grams - not as much as i hoped but i dont care down is down
benji will be surprised coz he was looking forward to hearing my result coz i have been so changed this week

apparently today is going to be 33 degrees or something in brissy - i am NOT looking forward to that OR summer i HATE HATE the hot

vonni - was it a little boy or girl you helped deliver?? what was his/her name?

alan are you needing to lose LOTS of weight? what are you doing?

amouse 08-23-2009 06:00 PM

julia sounds like it was a good job to do... :) so how often will you be working at the stadium???

Kel well done on the loss :) how 's the chook pen biulding going.. im guessing since it not on facebook yet you're not done... lol ??

Ani goodluck with your deadline... and dont be so hard on yourself... you dont suck.. maitaince is just tricky... and sitting and writing wouldn't be helping you know it will come off again once you have finished the writing :)

alan julia is right we don't bite .. :)

Barb she looks like a doll... she is so cute :)

Alan 08-23-2009 07:30 PM

Hello again

Its a great day here, if you like howling winds and blustery rain promised for this afternoon.
Going for a walk now with an old mate...try to do 3-4 7 km walk a week to keep my body going.
Has anyone here heard of Bowen therapy?
I tried some the other day for a shoulder that physios cant fix...and so far so good. W#ill keep you up to date!
Alan:dizzy:

LittleKiwi 08-23-2009 07:37 PM

Nope, I haven't heard of that Alan. What does it involve?

Amy I'm hoping to get work either at the stadium or any other venue maybe once a week or once a fortnight. They send me a spreadsheet once a month and I fill it out saying when I'm free and they roster me on on that basis.

Well done on losing 300g Kel that's great :D

Forgot to say before that during the weekend some b@st@rd snapped off the rear window wiper on my car  I live on a busy road and am currently having to park on the street so I guess it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. The Boy's car got sideswiped a few weeks ago and they dented the side and smashed off the side mirror.

Some people are PRICKS!

smylie 08-24-2009 02:14 AM

yes julia its like people who key cars - get a fricken life!

amy - chook pen got 'finished' last night HAD to coz they kept jumping the fence and getting into my veges but i think there i some roof work to be done still.... and am pretty sure will show it off on facebook!! we have acquired 3 different coloured milk crates in the last couple of years so those and the old catcher for the mower is their nesting place and we have 2 old knife and fork drawer inserts i am using for their scraps and their food just go to get the water sorted at the moment just using dog bowls... next time build chook house then buy chooks...

alan - please tell me more about bowen thearpy - i have a EX friend who swears by it and i always wondered what it was she has one once a month i think and would rave and rave about it

i am so annoyed - my treat for today and the only milo i was planning on having ALL week was tainted by what i think was off milk!!! :(

a part of me wonders how much i could have lost if i was dieting not changing lifestyle.... but will have to keep wondering as i want this to keep going and as i am going it can and will

barbegirl71 08-24-2009 02:48 AM

Well done on your loss Kel.

Its TOM (sorry Alan!) this week for me so not expecting great results this week.

Amy's right Ani, and you've come so far you'll find your groove again soon.

Wow Vonnni! How did you manage to deliver a baby and not get teary? I watched my girlfriend have her last one and couldn't see a thing for the tears!!!

Alan i was driving to school today in that nasty weather. I couldn't see three feet in front of me!

amouse 08-24-2009 04:23 AM

im about to go do another class body pump this time... and the gym buddy is going too i think.... im super excited... and not nervous.. though i do think this one will hurt.. since its weights and i slack in that area alot..... lol

Julia i hope that sounds very promising.. :)

Kel im glad you got the chookies under control

anyway gotta run and get ready :)

Alan 08-24-2009 07:39 AM

Keep up the good work

I have only had one treatment so far, but it is similar to a massage, except more attention is made to manipulation of certain key areas. So far it has helped to free up my movements...but I wil keep you posted. I have another on 31st in a week.
Bowen therapy has been around for 50 years plus I think, and was discovered by an Aussie...check on the net for more...I am no expert :carrot:

Anyway we are weathering a storm right now...and just as got to that point the lights went out, and three hours later I am finishing the letter!:smug:

So all you hard-working ladies, keep that weight dripping off! I know you are doing it for lots of reasons, and all of them worth the effort.

Rooster Alan :dizzy:

LittleKiwi 08-24-2009 05:03 PM

Alan that sounds really interesting. I will look it up online today :D

Kel it sounds like you're having a lot of fun with your chookies!

Yay, got another roster for the new part time job and my name appears quite a lot which is good! I'll be working one day selling programmes at Mama Mia (wonder if I'll get to see any of it??), a few more rugby games and some soccer and cricket.

More Money = :D:D:D

I am proud to report that I had an awesome day yesterday. Food choices were spot on and I ended up doing weights and a spin class at the gym :cb:

It's a beautiful day here today and I am feeling really positive and energised. Long may it last!

Goals for today:

1) Make good decisions with regards to what goes into my mouth.
2) Go to spin tonight.

:twirly:

amouse 08-24-2009 05:48 PM

the computer just ate my post :(.... waaaaah... lol

I went out in the cold wind and rain last night ( much to my husbands disgust... he didnt want me driving in the storm)

and did my first body pump class.... gotr through the whole class np and wondered why i didnt try it earlier.... .... but then i suppose that sort of class when your unfit would not be fun... ... I loved it... when it ended i wanted to go again.... but im sure my body didnt... im a little stiff this morning... ... my arms in the calss were fine but mt legs were shaking... lol...

I want to try body attack to but have to wait till next week since they run it on a wednesday morning and Leah has her first school visit in the morning.. and the parents have a meeting .. and meet the teacher.. ( who i already know and love i might add , Camerons reception teacher) so the class will wait... anyway time to make breaky... i have forgotten half the stuff i was going to say ... stupid post eating computer.. lol
