cake! i totally understand what yr saying. and i can relate i have felt the way you feel. i sometimes do still feel that way. but for me i decided that i gotta do what the doc says since he told me i would prob have a heart attack by 30 if i dont get the weight off yikes!
i kno how u feel its like i have plenty people telling me yr getting "tiny" and its like ummm no i'm not so it makes u second guess yrself. and it takes yr mind longer to lose the weight than your body girl. u have to give it time but just think everyday how strong u are compared to how u were! u are amazing! i def can relate i was just sharing how i have come to deal with it. so dont feel stupid at all i'm sure there are a million others with the same concerns love u! hope this helps :welcome3: lovedc, coco, shauna, candt and anyone else i missed! |

I went for an joy jog last nite ( a run just for the fun of it) it was awesome. No ipod, gps or anything. And I guess I am not too skinny by the looks I got from the guys...lol. I passed by a glass building and I couldn't believe I was actually looking like a runner.!!!! :)

I guess I should properly introduce myself: My name is Shia, I live in Kentucky-the northern part near Cincinnati, OH-single mom (son 14), 34-have a great life. I have to lose weight because of health reasons and quite frankly big girl style is played out. I'm glad this forum was started, we needed it. I'm not looking to get down too far, I love my T&A, just want a tiny tummy. I actually love the shape of my thighs, I just don't love the fat on them. So I lift heavy weights, 4 times a week and do cardio probably 6 times a week. My favorite body part to workout are my legs-go figure.

Well sistas, I am tired today. I am at 2 days of serious workouts! Yetserdays question, what is too skinny? Idk. All of my life I have had huge hips and booty and even at my lower weights, I've never been considered too skinny. I'm really not sure what I want my goal weight to be. Right now, I just plan to lose and when I feel comfortable, I guess that will be my goal. It doesn't really matter what anyone else think as long as I'm comfy with my look. kwim?

sooo eating is on point still havent gotten back in the gym. i dont have any outdoor places to go workout like i did in stl and i hate it! summer is my best working out time cause i am outside everyday. kc is way too crime ridden lol i would be on CNN for sure. sooo i guess i just have to be patient and wait till i get a job and get paid so i can join a gym. i know i need to be exercising to lose thats how my body works. oh how i miss my big park in stl lol and my own apartment for that matter...

We're glad you joined us! I'm wishing I could be like ya'll with all this talk of having booty. I swear even now that I'm losing weight, it's all coming off the bottom. My arms still feel huge to me. I wanna focus on working them out more. My breasts are the same size. I just don't want to get all disproportionate and crazy looking. I'm getting ready to head to Essence this weekend. I'm sure I'll do a lot of walking, but I know there'll be drinking and eating so I gotta keep myself in check. I got a few outfits, and I feel good about them. I got some size 16 bottoms from Gap including a cute mini skirt. I even got a size Large skirt from Target (probably cuz I have no booty). I'm excited to be going on vacation and feeling better about my body. I've come a long way from my size 22. :) YAY! Anybody else goin to Essence? |

Sweet shauna and beaka- you can get bit of a booty by just making it muscle. This will require squats and lunges and last but not least the arc trainer set as hard as you can move it. It takes some time but it works! My *** really looks like two lil balls of muscle now. Plus my booty-challnged friend of 7 yrs started this a while back and now has one cute lil proportionate to her size. I was like wow! U go chic!

LOL @ cakebatter....I do alot of lunges, squats, deadlifts, and treadmill walking on a high incline. I have a naturally huge booty and I'm kind of glad it went down a bit but its still huge, like Serena Williams huge. I have to have the waists of my pants taken in because the waist doesn't fit. Actually I'm probably in a 16 or 18 now and afraid to try on a smaller size.

Beaka- I'm ashamed to say that I'm from New Orleans and have never been to Essence. I made to plans to go this year but didn't even realize the time is here and now.
SweetShauna- I did a strength toning dvd that looks like it defined my booty more but no loss. My just refuse to dwindle. Cake- my strength toning dvd have you doing lunges, squats and leg lifts and mine stayed the same. It may be a bit firmer but still big. Devsmama- lol. Don't feel bad. I'm in that Serena Williams Club too. Well, I wanna go get my nails done today so dh will have the kids so I can pamper myself. I plan to do another day of exercise so I can reach my goal for the week. |
