Good Afternoon, Flowers! It's a "cold" 59 degrees, raining, and windy in my corner of the world today. A good day to be inside; my furnace has been running off and on! I worked in the hospital gift shop this morning. I caught up on a lot of my magazines and left them there for others to read, and sold a greeting card. "They" can't decide if they are going to close the gift shop and turn it into the chapel or keep it going. The hospital employees are all against putting the chapel there because it is close to the coffee shop, front doors that open automatically, the registration desk, and the ER. It's like Grand Central Station during the week and pretty busy on weekends sometimes. Meanwhile the buyers missed going to market and the items for sale are the same every day now. I understand that there is some restlessness going on in regards to the administrator, so he may be the problem.
My "good" next door neighbors have listed their house for sale. They are older and their two adult children with families live down in the Des Moines area, so want them to move down there before something happens to one or the other. They are really the only neighbors that we are close to so will hate to seem them move. We are also concerned as to what might move in. They have a finished basement, a double garage, and 3/4 bedrooms -- plenty of room for multiple families to move into.
"Gma" -- Isn't there someone in charge of your management that you could see about the pool before the end of the month meeting? It seems like if they trusted you with a key once they would/should again. I hope there is a video of Jackson on his ATV for his first ride.
Susan -- It sounds like your owners' association has a smart management team working for you. There were always life guards at the pool when we rented our condo. You got a lot of good fruit buys! Do you keep them in the "green" bags, or do you eat them fast enough that they don't spoil?
Maggie -- You will have the tiny gain gone by next weigh-in. We have three other doctors in our clinic; one is a woman who is a lesbian (not that I care), one goes to our church and was the president of the school board -- the type who will ask where I got my medical degree if I question him at all, and the last one lives in our old neighborhood and we used to go Christmas caroling together with a Bible study group that the wives were in. I've been to all of them at one time or another, but just didn't like them as well as my own doctor who left. The new guy is coming highly recommended so thought I would give him a try and see how it goes. I could always switch to the other clinic, but have heard "stories" about various doctors over there too. I had to laugh at your liking hot food; "mo hotta, mo betta!" When Amanda makes chili she has to make two batches -- a hot one for Jason and a milder one for the kids and her.
My dryer is buzzing so need to change loads. Have a nice "rest of the day" and do something nice for yourselves!
Jean -- from Iowa!
