Good luck for your evaluation Vonni, I hope it goes well :crossed:

Yesterday was really good. The only unnecessary things that I ate all day was 3 mandarins and a fruit stringy thing as a snack after dinner.

I had a good workout at the gym - did weights followed by 40 minutes cardio. I was bored as **** during my cardio so did 10 minutes jogging, 10 minutes walking, 10 minutes cross trainer and another 10 minutes walking. That helped to relieve the boredom a bit.

Goals for today are to eat well and have another good session at the gym.

Good on you Julia, you've foun your focus again. How's the boy going?

I feel really bloated so I weighed myself this morning and have gained 1.8kg. This sucks!

PerthChick 06-09-2009 11:10 PM

Another ordinary day for me yesterday - but today is better so far.

I need to remind myself of the reasons why I wanted to lose weight, and why it's important to keep it off. Even just gaining a few kilos I have noticed a difference to my energy and motivation - and I'm not feeling very good about this, or very proud of what I have done.

So today's meals are planned, and I am trying to force myself to drink water. It's cold, I don't feel thirsty… and it's a struggle to drink a litre, let alone two! But I will do my best.

7senuf 06-10-2009 04:11 AM

Ani I agree with the difficulty drinking water in the cold weather. It's bloody freezing here.

I passed my evaluations today.... phew. We had 9 units and I got 100% on 6 of them, and 1 wrong on the other three each. We had to get 80% to pass. Gen you would prob be familiar with it - It is NRP designed by the American Academy of paediatrics and American Heart Assocciation. We have to do an update every couple of years but ideally every year... just like adult CPR refresher courses.

Barb what a stinker gaining. Same here but not sure how much cause george. Better weigh in next week prob i hope.

smylie 06-10-2009 05:24 AM

WOOHOO VONNI :carrot: you rock congrats on passing your evaluations

barb - putting on sucks - and i think i am going to this week.... i have not stuck to the plan today or last night! i always get this way after a good loss!

julia - yeah how is the boy going??

ani - i think you will lose the little bit of weight you just put on quickly coz it hasnt had a chance to settle in yet.... i think the longer the weight has been there the harder it is to shift! you can do it and when you get back to work and back in the closest thing you have to a routine you will be smokin!

Vonni well done - that's awesome, especially if you didn't have much time to study! I have to do my ACLS next week - need it for work and before I start clinicals with school.

I start my monthly fatty boombah classes next week, so that should be interesting.

I am considering taking a year out of study. Unfortunately because certain courses are only offered certain terms, and there are prerequ's for many of them, I can't just skip a term. Much as I don't want to delay graduation by a year, it would be nice to cut out some of my stress at the moment, and I wouldn't have to worry about missing exams etc if I need to go home.

One of my kitties was sick but she got some antibiotics and she's much better now and running around like a total loon. It's nice to have someone around the house to talk to (yes, I'm starting to talk to the pets...!). I have a few prospective roommates lined up to come check the place out on Saturday - hopefully I find a nice, non-crazy one. Luckily I think Ani already took all the nutbags.

Mum got pretty sick after her chemo last week, and she said she wasn't going to do it anymore, which was hard. I can't blame her, but obviously I selfishly want her to do whatever gives her another 5 minutes. Luckily she got better after a couple of bad days, and now she is back to normal and sounds good. She even went and bought a new couch, which I told her was optimistic!!

Try not to stress too much Ani, you'll get your mojo back. I think that once you're back at work and have more structure in your day you might find it all a bit easier.

Vonni, well done on your exam results! :cp:

Gen I'm sorry to hear that your mum wasn't well. I hope that she's feeling better and in more of a fighting mood

Weighed in last night and am down 500g :woohoo:

Everything's going really well with The Boy. He came over and cooked me dinner last night which was divine but unfortunately the sort of meal only a person who has no weight problems would cook ... pasta with creamy sauce and garlic bread. I didn't eat tooooo much of it but god it was delicious! :dizzy:

Other than that meal, food intake yesterday was really good. I also did a spin class at the gym which damn near killed me. My quads are ACHING today!

No gym for me last night, I was too tired and too sore so I went home and had a chicken salad for dinner then went with my shopping list and did a big grocery shop.

And I stuck to my list!!

Today my goals are to 1) Eat well and 2) Go to the gym after work.

julia --- i LOVE it when you stick to the list you feel so so disaplined! did you meal plan before you left??? i am really getting stuck into that and NOT buying anything i dont intend to use before next payday

vonni - i saw your photos on facebook - WOW, just wondering does matt and the rest of your family know you want to lose weight?? do they know what your plan of attack is so they can properly support you??? stevie seems the type to tell you off if she knows what you want and sees you going astray..... just a thought.... oh and i reckon lukas would be a great motivator.... perhaps use all their quirks to YOUR advantage...??

barbegirl71 06-11-2009 07:41 PM

My beautiful little man said to me yesterday, "Mum are you having another baby or are you just fat?" What a wonderful way to start the day!

I've gained 1.6k this week. I really hate this ride! :(
