ChopperChick355 03-22-2009 10:44 AM

Well Good Morning Chickies.....

I came down with the flu Friday night and spend pretty much all of the weee morning until about 2pm yesterday in the restroom :( DH left early in the morning never even heard him leave, I finally walked outside about 3 and it was gorgeous so I sucked it up and got on the motocycle, didn't last long only about 35 minutes, then I had to come home really wasn't feeling any better....

Needless to say I did not get day 6 done so I will be doing Day 6 today....Actually maybe later this evening to give me time to get back to par :)

Mandy hope you are feeling better soon

Tammy that is great that you had a refrigerator to donate to someone that really needs it :)

Well not much going on this week but Saturday is our Abate Bike Show and Swap Meet in Sioux Falls so we will be going to that, plus we also bowl in a tournament Sat. and Sun. in Sioux Falls so we will just spend the night - YAY a night get away :)

Well talk to you later

It was a GEORGOUS day today! We rode to a little hole in the wall town to their motorcycle shop. Between my shoulders were burning when we went through the hills. I thought the Dyna would cure that..... but evidentally it was not the sportster that caused it like everyone thought. I wonder if it is just tension or if it is the helmet being to heavy or what? I am going to try to take Ibuprofen before the next ride to see if that helps. It was so nice outside.

CC, I hate you were sick. I hate knowing it is pretty outside and I don't feel well enough to ride. Mandy...... did you give CC a virus?

I have not worked out all weekend. Dang, I needed to. I will get back OP tomorrow.

Have a good night.

ladyrider72472 03-22-2009 08:18 PM

Holly, evidentally we have the same skin tone.... one step away from Albino  I am tanning this year b/c of the trip to Vegas.... and I don't want Wayne to marry an albino..... but I will be debating next year whether or not to hit the tanning beds. I will be 36 then and I need to take better care of my skin. I did not start tanning until my mid 20s..... but still, I am so fair skinned. I have been tanning my face, but as I get older I see a few lines, so after May..... I know I won't be tanning the face anymore.

I hope the Bananna Boat works for you. I found some "tan extender" for $4 at WM. I have been using it for a few days and it is good for the dry skin. When I first started tanning Bananna Boat made some really good lotion for extending your tan.... but of course like everything else, WM stopped carrying it.

I have to shower before Rock of Love Bus..... (that is my brain rot for the week). I know it is a stupid show.... and they are all nasty for swapping spit with each other...... but I am sucked into it.

Tammy

ChopperChick355 03-23-2009 10:36 AM

Good Monday Morning Ladies

Well I am finally feeling much better today, so needless to say I did not get any exercise in yesterday either, but I am back full force today ;)

Tanning, I do tan a little before vacations but never my face I always cover it with a towel, I tan really quick and easy. I believe before we went to Cancun in Feb I started tanning 3 times a week for 5-6 minutes each, I knew I would be getting some sun in Cancun of which I did and actually we got back Feb 11th and I still have my wrist band line showing. All Inclusive you have to wear a plastic wrist band and you can still see the tan lines :dizzy:

Tammy burning between shoulders you know when I really tense up I will feel that burn there to, but when I realize that it is starting then I tell myself to relax and when I relax my shoulders it does let up somewhat. I have not wore a helmet for years because they are heavy so that could be adding to the tensing up. When you just ride around town are you tensed up? If not do you feel that burn between your shoulders then? Just questions and suggestions...

Well girls I am off to get my stuff done so that I can get my 30 DS done plus my extra 3 miles for Great Strides

Have a Great Day

ladyrider72472 03-23-2009 11:10 AM

CC: Glad you are feeling better.

Mandy, how about you?

I don't feel the burn in town......so I think it is more stress.

I would love to shed the helmet, but I wear it as an example to my youngest son.... however if I am by myself or just going somewhere in town I don't wear one. BUT, I have to wear one to work...... I work for a neurosurgeon.... he would have a COW if I did not wear one.

Thanks for the advise.

willow650 03-23-2009 11:23 AM

I am feeling some what better. I still have a cough and my muscles very very fatigued. I just loaded the DW and it wore me out. On an upside, today was weigh in for the Biggest Loser challenge here on the board and I am 25lbs down with 15 more to go. 160 is just a guesstimate of what I want I might want to be at goal. I think I might want to get to 150. Whatever will get me to a size 8 to maybe a 6.

ChopperChick355 03-23-2009 07:58 PM

Good Evening

Tammy I bet it is stress from tensing up. I do the same sometimes and like I said when I feel myself doing that I just make myself relax my shoulders and it does let up.

Mandy 25 lbs down that is AWESOME!!!! My goal is also 160 right now and I will see if I want it to be more once I get there.

I did get my exercise in today - Day 6 and also 3 miles on treadmil, thunderstorms and rain outside today so had to keep it indoors

Talk to you later have a great night

VermontMom 03-23-2009 08:48 PM

Good evening chicks!! sorry I wasn't on this morning, our internet access was kaput for a while.

CChick I am glad you are better! and it's kewl that we are on the exact same day as 30DS. I think it is doing me good, BUT I am just out of control on eating. I keep telling myself I'll snap out of it but I haven't yet.

I do know one thing, I get SOOO angry at my boss for not allowing me to have a lunch time. When I get hungry, that's when any smart choices go to ****. And eating standing up, hiding in the corner but having to put it down as soon as a customer comes up, just sux. And it hurts my stomach to eat standing up, and cramming it down in less than 4 minutes :( I have 23 days until I am done there for the season. And that's total days; if I count actual days to work it's only 15 or 16. I CAN DO THAT.

Mandy, I am glad you are feeling somewhat better too :)

ladyrider, I know you said that you're ok in town..but could it be the position of your bars? lots of people swap out their bars for different styles, or keep the bars but add risers. Just a vague suggestion :D

haha, I can imagine your boss having a complete cow if you rode helmetless. However, I wonder if he would be willing to accept the stats and facts, that with the proliferation of SUVs and light truck vehicles on the road, any collisions are much more deadly due to blunt force trauma to the midsection of motorcyclists, and wearing a helmet does nothing to help that. OH MY there I am on my soapbox again

Today I did Day 6 Level 1 of 30DS, but nothing after that; I have been doing something additional each day but just didn't today.

OH Ladyrider, the $1 Banana Boat foam was a disaster  because it must be outdated or something; I pushed the dispenser, expecting the foam; and LIQUID came bubbling and spurting out!!! BROWN runny liquid, all over the sink and my palm and running down my wrist  what a mess. Maybe I can use it on my legs, but stand in the shower so it's easier to clean up! Ya get what you pay for, right

ChopperChick355 03-24-2009 09:02 AM

Good Morning just wanted to stop in before I leave for the day. I am having a managers meeting today so not alot of time this morning will do my exercise this afternoon after work

Holly that is great like what 15-16 days of worky, worky then you are off for a little retreat before going to FUN JOB!!!!!

ladyrider72472 03-24-2009 09:49 AM

Holly, I bet after your work is over and you have a rest that the weight is going to fall off you. I know how hard it is eating standing up in between customers b/c I used to work in fast food many years ago and it was hard. You CANNOT eat healthy like that...... I mean you can eat like veggie sticks or something, but most people are more apt to take a sandwhich or something like that. I think you are doing awesome just maintaining in the stress you are going through..... besides you are cooped up for the winter and it is almost over! Woo Hoo!

I guess I will just have to go to the tanning bed since the Bananna Boat discovery did not work. Does this mean I have to be the next to experiment and take the risk of turning orange..... since you did it this time?

Mandy, I bet in no time you will be back on top of things....... and, Congrats on losing so much weight. You truly look great.

CC: I miss manager's meetings...... NOT!

Next week is my trip to New Orleans. I am trying to be under 200 by then (winning the bet). I am going to stop teetering on the weekends. Anyway, my reward for that is to get the pig off my avitar and put a pic of me on my bike on there. I figure after N.O. I am going to lose another 5 before we go to Vegas in May. That will give me a little lead way in Vegas. I don't want to go over 200 EVER AGAIN when I am under it. I plan to do a lot of walking in Vegas and N.O.

Wayne wants to camp out a few nights on our Vegas trip...... I have not camped in YEARS. He said if I could not do it we would just leave the tent and find a motel. I know this is going to sound stupid, but where would we camp? Just pitch a tent on the side of the road-- or are there places for this? I hate to sound like a blonde....but I have not traveled like this before.

Sorry for the long post. Gotta get to work. Have a good one.

haha!! Well maybe the Banana Boat foam DOES work, if one doesn't buy it from a Dollar Store   Regarding tanning, I think I have said somewhere that I never tan my face in the beds, I rely on what I naturally get from the sun (even though I do use alot of sunscreen) and a big believer in makeup on face for color, bronzers, stains, etc.

We will be loving seeing a pic of you and your bike as your avatar!! Wow, N.O. next week. And it will be warm enough? I am so encased in cold up here it's hard to imagine.

hmm, camping...first, Do you have an air mattress, cause that is what I truly HAVE to have with a sleeping bag and a tent for being able to actually sleep. Second, I actually don't know where people on the road camp...I would think that you need to do a little internet research ahead of time, and look along your proposed route and see if there are State parks that could accomodate you, or commercial campgrounds? It would be a shame to find a nice area, then wake up to Farmer Brown shooting a 12 gauge of buckshot into your tent

speaking of blonde, I got a much shorter haircut today(well, at least an inch and a half off) and lightened up some more :D I can just feel my IQ slipping, haha!!

Oh, I realize that I (we, counting CChick) are actually on Day 8 of 30DS. I did my part this morning, then went out for haircut and groceries; now I want to do something else this afternoon. I haven't done a Cathe workout for a week; I'd like to see if I can feel improvements.

talk at cha's later! and LadyRider, don't apologize for long posts, I love to read about everyone!!!

ChopperChick355 03-24-2009 04:38 PM

Hey guys meeting is over and it went great! I truly am a FUN Boss :) I believe because I am totally down to earth;) I only crack the whip when and if needed.... No all 10 managers know what I expect of them and I know where their struggles are so that I can be around for them in those areas. :)

Camping is great fun but I agree gotta have air mattress, they do pack up easily and you can buy a blower up thingy that runs on batteries to air it up. On the way to Vegas there will be lots of campgrounds with actual showers for morning when you get up and all, as Holly stated look it up online, you will find lots of KOA's and probably locally owned campgrounds as well.

Tammy wow New Orleans already, wish I was going on vacation even if it is work related, the ride would be awesome.... I am to jealous:p
Can't wait to see your new avatar with pic!!!

Yep got day 8 done of 30 Day Shred today -- YAY;)

Holly you got new hair cut and lightened, I am about ready to get mine cut again but I was really trying to grow out a little more then getting a perm but my grey hair is really coming out and thing I should probably color real soon....

Does anyone color their own hair? If so what brand of hair color do you use?

Well better get going I need to get my 3 miles in yet today as well so back to exericising it is, talk to ya later

VermontMom 03-24-2009 06:23 PM

Good evening chicks :) CChick, I wish you owned the store where I work!!!! 'nuff said :D

I feel sooo good that I haven't had a big evil cookie today, because there just aren't any around here  Back to work tomorrow, I (sigh) shall try again to stick to my guns!

And this afternoon I did do a Cathe dvd, her Circuit Max, which is the alternating cardio and strength, and her abwork, so that's an extra 50+ minutes. Which is just what I need to take care of the extra calories I've been having.

Gray hair...there are many things I wish I could have inherited from my mom, such as her nice legs, her big boobs (on a small frame! come to think of it, my mom was a hottie back in the day  ) BUT she started graying in her early 30's (probably from us kids ) and I am soooo lucky in the respect that I have seen maybe five grays so far, in my venerable 48 years. Or maybe my stylist is cleverly concealing each one in blondeness. Whatever! As long as I don't see them! :smug:
