Good morning all. We too, got right into the voting, though I forgot my reading glasses. I stepped up to the machine and it said "large print" so there you go, I was safe! I sure hope the people in this country can live with what they have done. There is going to be less money in their pockets that is for sure. It is over and done with and we move on to the next thing, I guess.
Susan: Sounds like a good Thanksgiving plan. I love grilled cheese and tomato soup, like to dunk it! lol You will have a lovely time. Thanksgiving is all about being thankful and I know that there is much sorrow not having your sweet Stan with you, but I know you are thankful his suffering has come to an end and thankful you have good friends to be with you and you with them. All your good buddies are here at the site to give you encouragement if you get a bit down!
Jean: I have leaves everywhere and they need to be blown out to the corner for the landscapers to bag and clean up, but I keep waiting for them all to fall off so I don't have to do it twice. I have one tree but it has a ton of leaves on it. I may just have to tackle it next week though as it is getting the better of me. I wore myself out cleaning stuff yesterday. I dragged the two shelving units upstairs and ended up having to stack them so no seating, but that was ok. I just put the cushions in the cupboard and they can be used to take to the ballpark or something. I did the cleaning and was pleasantly surprised by the handheld shower and how easy it was to rinse the tiles off. Jack did a good job too, no leaks! I threw all my sweaters into the spare room (I must have 100 of the things, sheesh) and will work on them this morning then set about and cleaned out all three under the sink cupboards, plus both drawers and moved all the stuff into the hall linen closet that was holding my sweaters. I had enough room to put all the cleaning supplies too, so I moved the old towels under the sink. We use those for dying my hair and clean ups and paints and stuff. So once again that is all neat. I still have a ways to go, but it will all get done eventually.
Maggie: You know, Maggie, if more friends and family would stick together in times of trouble, this country wouldn't need all their social programs, which were never intended to be used like they are anyway. I have always said it is the reponsibility of your family and extended family, friends, and church to help when the chips are down, but folks don't go to church like they used to and with the way the world is, more bickering then helping seems to occur. The Bible set up a good plan that we don't follow. Christ said for us to give not only our shirt, but our coat too, but we barely give a button. I point back to me as much as anyone else, but I do help out my family when I have the money or resources to do so and that includes the outer relatives.
I think we are in for another warm day around here as the house is pretty comfortable and not needed heat nor ac to keep it so. It will lower the bills anyway.
Well, I want to check the results on the bazillion city referendums we had. Take care and have a great day today!
