Hi all,
Boy nobody has posted on this site in a while. Guess we all all busy this holiday, I know I am.
So I am bringing this thread up so more can post. Doesn't have to be much, just let us know you are OK, we know you all our busy, but just post a quick one and let us know how your holiday season is going so far.
CJ-Glad you posted again recently and let everyone know more about what is going on in your life. I was happy to talk to when we talked on the phone, and hear for myself that you are doing great and most of all happy happy happy at last. John sounds like a great guy and when we last talked you sounded like a woman in love.
The bottom line is that you need to be happy and that is the important thing. I know you are busy and have so many changes in your life now, but post when you can and I know after the holidays things will slow down for many of us and hopefully we will all be posting more.
Jo-Glad you are posting too and you are doing good as well. Good for you joining Weight Watchers. Congrats on that 6 lb weight loss, that is a great loss in only 2 weeks.
I am still going to my WW meetings, but doing lousy and going up and down, depending what holiday function is going on. Man the holidays really kill me so much.
I was doing great till Thanksgiving and than man I just don't know what happen.
Kim-Thanks as well for helping keep our home fires burning.
That is great that you got to spend the summer with Hannah, that is one of the good things about not working.
That is good you are still in school too, that will pay off big time when you get done and graduate.
I'll bet you are getting ready for your daughters Christmas, I bet she is really excited too.
That is about all everyone, I am doing well too. We had our cute little Grandson, Tyler for almost 3 weeks, I was in heaven over having him at Grandma's.
Daughter, Tracy in the Air Force is temporary stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi, as she is training for a new job for 8 weeks. Son in law, Brett, still in Illinois had some crazy 12 hour shifts and no one to watch the little guy so we volunteered to do this. His parents in Springfield, Ohio took him almost 2 weeks than he came to our house. We had so much fun with him, watching him explore the world. We ate lots of Mc Donald's
and did other fun kid type things with the little guy. He went home when his dad came to get him last weekend and than this past weekend, Ken, myself and son, Dan traveled from Indiana to Biloxi to spend some time with Trace. We had a lot of fun, lots of casinos there, like 11 of them, between Biloxi and Gulfport too. Had some great buffets with lots of crab legs, hence the weight gain,
but it sure was worth it I thought. Can't just go there and nibble on salads can I? We also got to see Ken's New Orleans long lost cousins once again. Just called cousin Vanda, Ken's like 2nd or 3rd cousin, her Dad is Ken's Dad's cousin and she arranged a party at her Mom and Dads and everyone was there. We just went for a reunion in June and met them for the 2nd time and this is the 3rd time we have seen them and they love us and visa versa. Ken's Dad's Dad, Ken's grandfather was the only one who left New Orleans and went to the Detroit area out of 7 siblings. His great grandfather came over from Croatia to New Orleans and settled there and when we come they all want to see the Scobel family that left New Orleans and went to Detroit. So we had a great time this past weekend, had lots of great food and got to see again some great warm and wonderful people.
Take care all, talk to you later. Sassy Sharon
