Hi everyone,

Sorry I've been MIA for awhile. Just have a lot going on in my life, and haven't taken the time to worry about my weight.

I'm still unemployed, still looking for a job, still in school. Can't complain much about not working since I had the summer off with my daughter. That was great and something I probably will not get again anytime soon one I get back into the workforce (unless I win the lottery--which means I would have to play it first).

I will post again later when I have the chance to catch up and read everyone else's posts.

Kim

I just want to check in real quick here. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and in case I don't make it back in here, I hope you all have a great and wonderful Christmas!!!

Things are going pretty ok for me .. still working on my divorce (nothing settled yet) so I can move on with my new life with John - which is going great! I've never been happier!

I promise I will start posting more once I am more settled - just so many things to do and now so many new people (and grandkids) in my life right now. But I think of you all a lot and my intentions are good so I WILL be back!

Thanks for the welcome back JO ... Hope to hear from ya all soon.

Love, CJ

Default Hey Everyone!

Hi all,
Boy nobody has posted on this site in a while. Guess we all all busy this holiday, I know I am. So I am bringing this thread up so more can post. Doesn't have to be much, just let us know you are OK, we know you all our busy, but just post a quick one and let us know how your holiday season is going so far.

CJ-Glad you posted again recently and let everyone know more about what is going on in your life. I was happy to talk to when we talked on the phone, and hear for myself that you are doing great and most of all happy happy happy at last. John sounds like a great guy and when we last talked you sounded like a woman in love. The bottom line is that you need to be happy and that is the important thing. I know you are busy and have so many changes in your life now, but post when you can and I know after the holidays things will slow down for many of us and hopefully we will all be posting more.

Jo-Glad you are posting too and you are doing good as well. Good for you joining Weight Watchers. Congrats on that 6 lb weight loss, that is a great loss in only 2 weeks. I am still going to my WW meetings, but doing lousy and going up and down, depending what holiday function is going on. Man the holidays really kill me so much. I was doing great till Thanksgiving and than man I just don't know what happen.

Kim-Thanks as well for helping keep our home fires burning. That is great that you got to spend the summer with Hannah, that is one of the good things about not working. That is good you are still in school too, that will pay off big time when you get done and graduate. I'll bet you are getting ready for your daughters Christmas, I bet she is really excited too.

That is about all everyone, I am doing well too. We had our cute little Grandson, Tyler for almost 3 weeks, I was in heaven over having him at Grandma's. Daughter, Tracy in the Air Force is temporary stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi, as she is training for a new job for 8 weeks. Son in law, Brett, still in Illinois had some crazy 12 hour shifts and no one to watch the little guy so we volunteered to do this. His parents in Springfield, Ohio took him almost 2 weeks than he came to our house. We had so much fun with him, watching him explore the world. We ate lots of Mc Donald's and did other fun kid type things with the little guy. He went home when his dad came to get him last weekend and than this past weekend, Ken, myself and son, Dan traveled from Indiana to Biloxi to spend some time with Trace. We had a lot of fun, lots of casinos there, like 11 of them, between Biloxi and Gulfport too. Had some great buffets with lots of crab legs, hence the weight gain, but it sure was worth it I thought. Can't just go there and nibble on salads can I? We also got to see Ken's New Orleans long lost cousins once again. Just called cousin Vanda, Ken's like 2nd or 3rd cousin, her Dad is Ken's Dad's cousin and she arranged a party at her Mom and Dads and everyone was there. We just went for a reunion in June and met them for the 2nd time and this is the 3rd time we have seen them and they love us and visa versa. Ken's Dad's Dad, Ken's grandfather was the only one who left New Orleans and went to the Detroit area out of 7 siblings. His great grandfather came over from Croatia to New Orleans and settled there and when we come they all want to see the Scobel family that left New Orleans and went to Detroit. So we had a great time this past weekend, had lots of great food and got to see again some great warm and wonderful people.

Take care all, talk to you later. Sassy Sharon

Hey all! Just popping in quick to say howdy. I'm officially down 10.6 lbs since I went back to WW. It seems so much harder to do this time around. But I'm going to keep with it. I just have to!

So I thought I'd come in here and wish you all a very merry and a happy and prosperous and all those other good wishes. I'm at work now and my 'net connection is sooooooo sloooooooow but it's really quiet here so I'm taking my time posting. I have to work today, tomorrow and half a day on Christmas Eve. Yuck. But, hey, I'm getting paid to sit here and play solitaire.

Going to visit the family over the weekend after Christmas. It'll be the first big family gathering since we lost my dad over the summer. Hopefully, it'll go OK. My mom's doing pretty well, all things considered. Rich's mom spent this past weekend with us, stopping her drive from North Carolina up to visit family in Massachusetts. She drives all over, all the time, just her and the dog, God Bless Her!

Anyway, I really do have a little bit of work to do here so I'd better get to it. BTW, I'd like to suggest we restart this thread in January as our New Year's Thin Wannabee's thread. What do you all say? Just a suggestion.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season. I'll be talking to you again soon!

Jo.

Just popping my head in to say hi and I haven't forgotten about y'all.

With the new year coming up, I'm going to hopefully get back on program and work on my weight. I'm surprised I haven't gained a lot more than I have by being lazy and not working, but I haven't gained that much. Not sure how much, just going by my clothes being a little tighter than they used to be.

Anyway, just stopped in the say hi
