the circus was fantastic
We went to the Circus last night it was fantastic, the kids had an absolute ball..
The acts were fantastic the costumes were great and the show didnt bore you even for an instant.. The tent was huge so they had brought the jumping castle inside and the food stand too.. so the kids could play before it started.. and people could get warm drinks.. or hot food before the show or in the intermission. They sold mini show bags and light up toys.. my two got one of each and were happy to turn on there light toys between skits when the place went dark.. It was brilliant.. this lady ended up with over 30 hoola hoops it was unreal http://i36.tinypic.com/o6k0na.jpg the high wire act was brilliant http://i33.tinypic.com/xqe5hg.jpg i know its hard to see but this lady was juggling flaming balls upside down with her feet and hands http://i33.tinypic.com/1z5nt5y.jpg and here are the horses they were great too http://i36.tinypic.com/ir7528.jpg here is one of the cutest clowns in the place.. if only there was no counting involved in weight watchers.
grr i hate knowing it really does work and it is real food hmmmmmmmm gotta do something julia you are so motivating everytime i read that you have stuck to your points especially when you then report loses of 900grams..... gen - ani is right about the food restrictions - my ex-sister-in-law got a lapband thingy and had to go to hospital afew weeks or months later coz she almost choked on a corn chip. (but she did lose heaps of weight and used to blend up the funniest combinations of foods coz she wanted the taste so bad) (and ate a lot of oysters) (???) did not do my weightloss and favours today... and have put on weight since yesterdays weigh in - (reported to calorie king coz it asked me to weigh in) and in perth next weigh in so NEXT weigh in wont be until 2 wednesdays away - that SHALL be interesting! |
we posted at the same time amy - woohoo for cute clowns!!!! too too cute!

Circus looks cool Amy, glad you all had a great time.
Kel I gotta say, it sounds to me like you're still searching for a quick fix. I know that you know it doesn't exist mate. You've got to change your way of living, not just go on a diet because we all know that diets don't work. I didn't go to the gym last night as I ended up working late so didn't really have time. I did stick to my points though and ate really well all day. Goal for today: Stick to my points and eat well. :twirly: |
oh yeah DEFINATELY looking for a quick fix
i am in a spot right now where i definately have the will power to maintain - it is working with my house and other aspects in my life but i look at how fat i have gotten and feel like i need to do something radical so i can get back to a more manageble state i am working on that mindframe now |
Gen i agree with everythign ani said dont do it as a I give up solution.. look into it and its after affects.. after you have it you live on restricted calories.. so why not just start restricting them yourself.. and do away with the surgery?? you'll get the same result without hurting yourself and then living on very little food for the rest of your life..
Kel i love the new picture of jem.. she is so cute.. hey im glad your in maitance mode.. that is so much better then the self distruct mode you have been in for quite a long time.. the next step is weightloss mode.. :) lol woohoo.. Julia you are doing fabulous as usual with your point.. :) as for me ... im down 1.2 kilos this week :) |
AMY! You're on fire :carrot:. I'm really happy for you!!!
I sat down this morning and worked out that over the past two weeks I have averaged 1827 calories/day and only 1.1L of water a day. Not exactly bad, but not enough effort to actually lose weight either. Sometimes I delude myself because I work really hard, physically, and I think that's enough exercise. But it obviously isn't - so I need to tweak things a little bit. This week I'm going to aim for 1600 calories and 1.5L of water every day. I'm also thinking of starting walking or swimming for exercise if I can find the time, or get enough energy. Hope everyone has a great weekend :). |
Lap bands are reversible. I know I can restrict calories myself, but then I just keep putting it back on. I think it's worse for my health to regularly lose/gain 20-30kgs.

Hi all. been trying to fight my son for the computer lol.
Welcome Chineta. This bunch are fantastic. We share ups n downs n even kicks in the bum when needed. Plenty of hugs and love to. Gen I echo Ani and Amy, but in the end you do what you feel is right for you. It sounds like you have done yr research and at least yes it's reversable. I just worry about the post op recovery period. I have heard that they r times of extreme self esteem issues and pain and vomiting etc... Hope if you decide to go through eith it that you suffer not much of this. I have read everyones posts but to much has happened for me to comment on all. Amy wow love the picks. What circus was it? We had one ion town a few weeks back but didn't get there. grrrr. they were here for one day only. Me - well I thought I had been going ok with my eating but obviously not. I jumped on scales this morning and they said 73kg grrrr. However I do have george on his way out the door so maybe hopefully it is him contributing. If not, I am in serious trouble. Maybe its the bikkies I am having with my coffee. But I thought I could have a couple. Whats the point if ypou cant enjoy the occassional treat? gotta fly. Have 2 assignments due tomorrow and as I have to take bree to her MRI in the town wher normally I post them to I will finishe today and take them in personally. Think my lecturers will have a fit lol. Vonni |
Well, my 106 must have been pre-curse. Today I weighed in at 103.4. At least now I'm weighing in, I will have to face the numbers every day so maybe that will give me the required motivation to stop stuffing my face.
Also I got into the nurse practitioner program at Pitt, the university attached to my hospital (can't remember if I told you yet?), so once I get my uni ID card, I can go to the student gym which is about 2 mins from my office. I have to walk past it to get to my car, so that should make it easier. I start being on-call at 8am tomorrow... ****ting myself!! The other boys said I can call them if I need to, but arrghghhhghh!! Any problems with device, implants or explants or transplants overnight, guess who gets paged? Eek! |
Go Gen.... Thats super responsibility and you have obviously earned it, so don't be scared. lol. Wow you must be really something.
As for the gym way to go... go for it. but don't overdo it after a huge shift. vonni :) |
Welcome chilenita :welcome3: it's a great group of women here and I'm sure you'll benefit from checking in with us.
I had a TERRIBLE weekend! Went on Saturday to get some more tattooing done. I sat for just over 2 hours and that's definitely my limit. I'd taken 4 panadeine plus and that helped but at about the 2 hour mark it just started to absolutely kill and I think I started going into shock as I was trembling and my teeth were chattering! I'm really happy with the progress and I rekon one more session and the guts of the piece will be done. Unfortunately after that, good eating was the last thing on my mind so I had fish n chips for dinner and then ended up drinking quite a bit and cured my hangover yesterday with Burger King. Doh! :halfempty I'm also absolutely skint and I'm going to have to borrow some money from the float at work until I get paid next week. Will make a big cauldron of soup and that'll keep me going for the week. I won't be able to go to the gym for a few days as the tattoo on my back is pretty big and sore and I don't want to aggrivate it by jumping around so I'll be working hard at sticking to the diet. :twirly: |
