Good evening, ladies.
Stan had his colonoscopy yesterday afternoon and it turns out he has the worst infection the doctor has ever seen but the chance of cancer is less than 5% although they did 3 biopsies to be sure. He came home this afternoon and has several prescription antibiotics and the dreaded Flagyl (it makes a heavy metallic taste in your mouth) to take again. They'll do a scan in 2 weeks to see if things are improving. If they don't he may have to have part of his colon removed. Now that he is home, I'm just worn out so I'm going to put my feet up and do nothing tonight until I get him ready for bed. |
Good Evening, Flowers! I just noticed the time so guess I should be saying "Good Morning!" ;) I've had a "putzing around the house" kind of day after I went to get groceries this morning. Jason and family decided to come tomorrow so thought I had better come up with something besides hamburgers and hot dogs. We had sunshine early this morning and then snow showers the rest of the day. The flakes were huge and melted as soon as they hit the ground.
"Gma" -- I hope you get a good mayor this time! I know you will have fun with the Easter eggs and Thomas. I'm sorry you couldn't get the shoes you wanted. They must have been really popular to be sold out so quickly. Susan -- I'm glad Stan is home; I hope his biopsies are clean and he continues to improve. You certainly deserve to rest and relax! :) Well, it is late and I'm heading to bed. Have a nice Easter day tomorrow! Jean -- :easter2: in Iowa! |
Good morning to you all! Hope you are having a wonderful Easter holiday!
Susan: I am so glad Stan is back home and my prayers are with you as he recovers again. Believe me, I more than anyone want his infection to clear up so he won't have to have colon surgery. It would be just another thing he would have to deal with in his life and the two of you have enough to deal with. I will continue to pray for his good health to return. Jean: Hope you have fun with the kids today. I got the house cleaned yesterday and put out the plastic eggs for hunting. I got the cookies made for Thomas and am now all set for everyone to come today. Sounds like you had a long day. How is mom doing? Does she seem to be feeling any better? I frogged the cardigan I had started and started a lace tunic for myself with the peach yarn. I rarely make anything for myself and liked this sweater a lot and they have the pattern in my size so I decided to go for it. I still have all the birthday and shower gifts to get wrapped and such and should get on that before it is too late. My sil's birthday is on Friday, but I am sending her card to her and keeping her gift here until she comes for my surgery next month. She is the one that I sent the handbag to and they never picked up the package so they sent it back to me. I am not going that route again. Everyone have a spectacular day. Not too many chocolate bunnies now! Faye |
Happy Easter Evening! We had about an hour of sunshine while we were in church this morning. The stained glass windows are even more beautiful when the sun is shining. Jason and family came in time for dinner. I was smart enough to save the Easter stuff until afterwards so the kids would eat good food before the sugar rush. Zowie wanted to rock with me so I got out of cleaning up the kitchen. Worked for me!
"Gma" -- The lace tunic sounds pretty! Be sure and show us the finished product! You are smart to hang on to your sil's gift instead of mailing it. There were no chocolate bunnies here . . . I know better than that after 35 years of making Easter baskets. I should put in another load of laundry and iron a shirt for Bob to wear tomorrow. I also need to make a plan of action for the week so I can accomplish a few things. Have a marvelous Monday tomorrow! Jean -- from Iowa! |
