Good morning to you all. I lost my whole post. I don't know what is going on with the stupid computer this morning. It is pouring rain and thundering and lightening here today.
Jean: The neat thing about Lands' End is they will replace anything anytime. I had a strap break after about a year of owning a pair of sandals, they sent me a replacement and even a free return label to return the old ones. What a nice honor for the teacher. I wonder if your paper has an online resource. I would love to see a picture of you all in the t-shirts. I am going to try and get out and finish up Easter stuff today. I have to get a couple things for Jackson and ship them and get T's grass and basket. I had J's stuff shipped directly to him in gift boxes and it will get there on Monday. It wasn't supposed to be shipped out until Monday so he will get them a bit early. I just have to pu T's stuff all in a basket and I am done with his. I haven't heard back from his mom what they are planning for Easter yet though. Not much else exciting here. I guess I best get some chores done this morning. Have a great weekend! Faye |
Good Afternoon, Flowers! It's a cloudy, windy, cold day in my corner of the world. No rain nor snow so that is good. We made a quick trip up to the lake to remove MIL's old spring and mattress set from the next door shed so the plumbers can get inside to work on a bathroom. Well, the snowplow plowed to the end of the blacktop which is the place right before our's and the drifts were too high to get anywhere near the shed, let alone our place. :( It was a nice ride anyway. We stopped at a new grocery store coming home and I had a great time shopping. :cb: Also ran into the Penney's store to replace my stud earrings that I put someplace stupid and can't find after turning everything upside down looking.
I've got laundry going and need to sort through old magazines and catalogs. "Mom" has been losing weight and kind of taking side steps when she first gets up to walk. I'm worried about her, but know that she isn't in pain. She meows when I walk by her to let me know she is still around. If we sit down she's on our lap asap. "Gma" -- I'm not sure what we are doing for Easter either. I have a feeling I may end up with a housefull of hungry eaters which is ok. I probably can't talk fast enough to get them here early enough to go to church with us though. There are several older people who knew our kids when they were little and enjoy seeing them as adults with their own children. I put the kids' Easter things in colorful paper bags rather than baskets. Every other year I get them buckets and shovels, for the lake, and put their loot in them. I know the local paper is online but will have to check the website for sure. We have 2 papers and I don't know which one was taking the picture. Our yearbook teacher was taking the main picture to send online to the teacher. Anita was scheduled for another round of chemo this week so we haven't heard from her via email. I know she feels pretty bad for a few days afterwards and the doctors were trying to change some of the meds to help with that. Hope you all have a nice "rest of the day!" Good evening, ladies! Another nice day here - up in the 60's. Rain during the night and then it should be nicer tomorrow, but much cooler.
Got the grocery shopping done today so I won't have to go out again tomorrow. Doing some laundry now. |
Good morning to you all. It is cooler this morning, but not cold. It still looks pretty rainy. A bad thunderstorm chased me home from my errands yesterday, but went west and south instead of east and south so bypassed us pretty much. It supposedly had hail and such so I was trying to get home to keep the car from getting pinged.
I finished up all the Easter stuff and got Jackson's in a box to go to the post office today. I do my postage online then just take it and dump it in the parcel bin. It is better than standing in line. I always send stuff priority so it only takes a couple days to get there and can do it all online. You are supposed to have the option of the mailman picking it up when he delivers, but I have tried it twice and the nitwit didn't pick it up either time so I just do it myself now. I ended up getting Jackson his plush "peeps" a couple teething rings, a box of teething cookies I remember his dad used to like and a "I love My Grandma" bib. I couldn't find a Grandpa one and I looked through all the bibs, they had auntie, sister, and brother, but no Grandpa. He should get his two outfits tomorrow. I almost didn't have room for all the junk I bought Thomas. I got all the candy at the commissary so I kept seeing stuff and picking it up. The nice thing about the commissary is they stock really good quality candy. I got him a solid bunny that is Russell Stovers and solid tiny foil bunnies that are Russell Stovers for the same or less than the crappy hollow ones are at Walmart. I bought a bag of plastic eggs with different Willie Wonka candy in them and they had a surprise golden egg (these were actually to use for egg hunts.) Well I thought the golden egg would have something like cute tiny toys or something like you get in gumball machines. It had a tiny packet it one sweet tart in it! Phooey, I tossed it away and put $10 in the egg! I always buy him whatever fancy pants m and m cylinder they put out for the year too. Well, Jack is downstairs taking aspirin so it is either a headache or his hips or knees hurt so I guess I better get him some breakfast. Have a good Sunday. Faye |
Good Morning, Flowers! I've been to early church, the grocery store for a couple of things I forgot yesterday, put a roast on the stove, have a load of laundry, going, changed clothes, and I'm on my way to read the Sunday paper. Bob is singing at 2nd service so will be late getting home. They did two pieces, as they usually do, but for one song they had three additional people reading parts for an Easter story. It gave me goose bumps and the church was dead silence after they finished. It was awesome.
Susan -- It's a good day to stay home here too! "Gma" -- I'd say your boys will have a great time with their Easter goodies! :bunny: It sounds like Atlanta got hit pretty bad by the tornado/wind/rain weather. I'm not ready for tornado weather but we are practicing the drill at school. I hope Jack is feeling better. It's cloudy, cold, and windy so I am staying inside today! I think "Mom" is feeling better because she ate some chicken, slept all night with us, and has been up and down the stairs a few times. Hope you all enjoy your day doing whatever it is you are doing. :D Jean -- :bunny2: in Iowa! |
