Wow! What a talented bunch! I love to make cards- I do it for birthdays, X-mas, etc. Sure, they never look like they do in the craft book, but the lumps are just "extra love". Ha! I love to make simple beaded jewelry. I love sparkley projects that take only an hour or two, as my patience is limited ;) I tried crochet, but instead of blankets, I ended up with a lot of funny-shaped pot holders, and too much swearing. I think I'll stick with the earrings!

I used to sell my things for $. I owned an internet craft company. The baby #4 came along, we moved and it went bye-bye. Now it is more just for R&R. I need to use up some of the supplies I have. I think every month I should have a goal of using a certain supply up. I have 15 extra large storage bins on my screened in porch of craft supplies. Way too many. Almost obsessive. Almost!

Just wanted to pop in and tell you how nice it is to read about all you talented ladies!

I enjoy scrapbooking and making cards, but ever since I've moved to my new home......it's been put to the side. I must get back into it.

Scrapbooker here!!! I scrapbook every Tuesday evening from 6-9 at my house. I have a group of friends that come over pretty consistently and we work on our pages, have a glass of wine or two and build our friendships. It's really nice actually. PLUS... you know how you never have time to scrapbook? Well, I just put it on the calendar like it was a regular appointment and refuse to remove it. Hubby and daughter both know I'm busy Tuesday nights and that's all there is to it!! Sometimes you just have to put your foot down and make some time for yourself to keep yourself sane. I'm a much happier and nicer wife and mom for it, believe me!! :D

Another avid crafter here. My main passion is knitting and cross-stitch but I've dabbled in many others. For cross-stitch I love intricate, detailed work and like to include metallics and beads like the Lavendar and Lace and Mirabilla patterns. At the moment I'm into knitting more. Its an excellent way of getting new clothes as I drop sizes. My specialty is Arans, again the complexity appeals to me.

I'm also a cake decorator but haven't done much of this recently (too tempting).

This is the pattern I made for my bunny. work in progress. Fleece works and I used it to make a blue bunny, but though it's easier to sew than fur, it's less forgiving. I'm still trying to modify things until I get it right ^_^ There are a lot of good stuffed animal patterns online too if you look hard enough (here is a dog pattern with pics I just found and want to make, it is just about the cutest thing ever. I just hope it'd be half as cute if I made it!). But yeah, I've made bears with fleece (no pics, they're at my parents' house) and my mom's friend makes the cutest bunnies out of regular heavy cotton with lacy fabrics for clothes, she taught a craft class one time years ago and I still have the bunny I made in it.

Here's a sorta blurry photo of the dog ornament I made for my mom on the Christmas tree this year, the one for my cousin turned out better I think but I don't have a photo of it at all. This one is supposed to be a black/white border collie. ^_^

Amy~ I love Rocky Horror!!! Those turned out nice! My DH and SIL work in the theater, he's a set designer and my SIL is a wardrobe super. I can sew, but very simply. I'm in total awe of costume people in general.

leanmoomercows~ You have to look hard, but there are cool and hip crochet patterns out there! Have you see the Happy Hooker crochet book? Lots of cute stuff in there! I think a swatch afghan sounds cool! Like a quilt for yarn addicts. Lol.

Circebee: Do you sell your jewelry or give it as gifts? Or do you just wear it yourself? I've known quite a few people who make jewelry to sell it, and they make so much money! I wish I knew how.

Flower: I'd love to get into selling my crafts online, but I wouldn't have the guts. I'd be afraid someone would try and return it and say "This thing stinks!! I hated it!" and want their money back. But that sounds like it would have been great; making money doing what you love. It's more R&R for me too. 15 large storage bins isn't almost obsessive!! :dizzy:

Marti: I agree, I think these lovely talented ladies need to post pictures of their work! They all sound like they have so much to show!

KforKitty: I love knitting too; I'm not into the complex designs it sounds like you're into. But I do love doing it more for R&R. It would take me forever to knit a **** or sweater. I have a relative who can knit an entire outfit (it's actually a male's santa outfit...she makes one every year for some charity event) in a single night!!!! That is craziness to me, I'm not that fast yet. I wish I was though. It sounds like you're much more experienced than I am. Have you ever sold your knitted pieces?

Amy: That bunny is coming along great; I like the fabric a lot. And I'm a big Rocky Horror fan, so those are very, VERY much impressing me! You did a fantastic job! I also think that border collie ornament is beautiful! I could tell what kind of dog it was before I even read what you wrote. You did a brilliant job. And that dachshund plush dog is SOOO cute!!! I bookmarked that bad-boy for a rainy day project. That is adorable! I might have to try that...even if it came about HALF as nice, it would still be cute! That looks fairly simple too, so it might be good for a beginner like myself (I've honestly been sewing for years...it's just been simple project after simple project).

Zenor77: Happy Hooker crochet book? I'm going to have to look into that. I love to knit, because I love the way the knits and purls look as compared to the crocheted look. But that's only because I've found patterns that work better with knitting. I might change my opinion once I look into this book. Thank you for the recommendation, I'll have to look online and in my craft store for it. :)

When I was a struggling student (many moons ago), I did knit for a shop which sold yarn and as I said Aran sweaters were my speciality. It used to take me about two weeks to knit one. It wasn't really worth it for me in terms of what I was paid for doing these but it kept me busy.

I love doing crafty stuff, too :D Mostly sewing clothes for myself, but I do do things for others, too. I end up doing a lot of vintage-inspired clothing for myself since that's what I love the most :) I also work as a seamstress for an online swimwear company, so that's always interesting, too... I'm just really happy to see so many interesting people doing so many cool things!

I've been too busy to work on anything else lately but I think they turned out all right, considering I haven't done too much in the way of making plush toy patterns (though they are rather simplistic).

I just bought some black and white plush and will try to make one that looks like my cousin's dog with that pattern when I get a chance. the pattern makes it look so darn cute. I saw a picture of someone that made one out of brown felt with that pattern and it was really cute too.
