Good Morning all.
Hope everyone got some decent sleep ! I got up late and now feel tired still. I don't know if I babysit DGD today, I never really know until DD walks through door with her...(a little notice would be really nice) but I love DGD so much that I can't say much or she won't let me see her...can we say manipulative ?! another story for another time. I hear my dirty dishes hollaring my name ... I wish they would shut up ! Today is a new day & I am starting out with a nice glass of water... yay ! Sassy, I don't usually put photos online but I think I will look for some to send to you. I might only have some fall ones or few of pets. Me & DH don't really do pix, so not many of us... but plenty of DGD, & Our DD's and pets. I hope what you are doing turns out just like you want it too ! I think it is great that you are doing it. Patty, Nice to meet you. I know you won't be able to read this for a while but when you do.. it is nice to meet you . Sounds like you had a blast with the DGK's, I can only imagine. They are the greatest persons in the world ! I have a *sweet precious girl who needs to get her priorities straight*, <heavy sigh>... SOmetimes I want to help her get them straight by slapping her back into reality,,, but so far I have held that in <darn it>. Glad you'll be back soon. |

Still awake.......I know I should be sleeping......(For the new members: I work M-W nights) But I still have tonight yet and then tomorrow its back to work. :comp: Hi Trish sounds like you all are having a great time! Kelton -- Well this project will only be emailled to the Jaded Ladies participating or curious on what I'm up too, lol. Woke up to half a voice!! Now what in the world?? Crazy. Didn't do my walk yesterday as Saturday is my exercise free day......(but I really should have since I only walked 2 days last week) Eating has been good. I have always been a second helping girl...but now, I tend to either have my one serving or break up the first serving in half and eat the other half for the second helping. (Does that EVEN make sense???) :lol: My portions are staying right on is the point I'm trying to make I guess. :dizzy: Will walk tonight, today I have a lot of errands to run....getting the oil changed in the car is one of them. Sassy--I do believe that I lot of colds and illnesses are going around right now. I'm constantly cleaning up around me and washing my hands at work....but I managed to get a cold anyway darn it! Trish--Hope you have a fabulous last day w/your DGK. And great job w/staying OP even w/out your own foods around. Should feel good about that. Kelton--I'm happy to hear that you're enjoying this group. They are a bunch of great girls that's for sure! How old is your DGD? If you get her today hope you have a great time w/her. In my grocery ad it has these... Gerber's Amish Ground Chicken Burgers 16 oz for $2.99... is that good & are they good for you ? Yo Crunch Yogurt 6oz 10 for $5.00 Good for you ?? South Beach Diet Entrees 9oz to 11ozs 3 of them for $5 Good for you Or a scam food ? I just need some help. Thank you in advance. |

My DGD is just now 16 months today. She was a preemie by 2 months & stayed in NICU for **only** 2 weeks (thank you God) !! DD had severe female issues (as whole female part of family does) and was told she would never be able to have kids EVER. She was put on shots & birth control to help with her severe pain & bleeding. hAD EXTREME ISSUES ALL DURING PREGNANCY, (oops caps, sorry). Then she developed Preclampsia & was in labor the whole pregnancy. She was on BC when she got pregnant. Oh her hubby was supposed to be sterile. DGD is a Miracle baby !! She is the absolute light of my life !! Anytime I get to spend with her is an honest to God privilage and honor. I don't know what I ever did without her. She *might* be a *tiny* bit spoiled by Papaw & me... But only thru love & affection, not by buying her love. Cristina - I've seen Army and other armed service photo albums in Hobby Lobby, and think of you when I see them. About the sleep situation, I do the same thing once in awhile! Can't sleep, then I nap the next day, then I can't sleep again. Vicious circle. :dizzy: Marti - hey, I'm proud of you, too! You're doing great! Did you get your voice back? Kelton - about the foods - you might want to check and see if the chicken is all white meat. If not, it may too many calories and fat. The yogurt - I have no clue. As for the diet entrees, I think they're alright, if you check and see if there isn't too much sodium. Lots of packaged foods have a lot of additives, etc. that I'm trying to get away from, but sometime they are so convenient. Ahhh, sounds like you're as crazy about your DGD (dear granddaughter) as I am of my grands. I have 5 DGDs and 1 DGS. Like you, I don't know how I got along without them! They are so sweet, I could sop them up with a biscuit, lol. Sassy - so many of my photos were on the old computers hard drive, so I don't know if I can send you any, or not. When I tried to take a pic of a photo, the resolution was messed up, in trying to get a close up. Hey, what's going on that's strange? We wanna know! We won't think you're weird - at least, not any weirder than US, lol. Trish - good to see you back, and I look forward to hearing more on Wednesday. I love Daytona Beach! Only been there once, but it sure was fun. Sue - I didn't forget your seeds but I've just been too darn busy to send them out yet. Hope you and mom are better today. Mary Kate - how's the situation going with the extended family living with you? Jules - have you bought a teeny tiny Christmas outfit yet? I've seen some, and thought of you. He'll be here right before Christmas, right? Pink Jane - where are you? Did Mickey come and take you back to WDW?? Mindee - hope you can join us soon again. I talked to Angie on the phone yesterday. I'm back for a short spill. I got all my errands done in town and now all I want to do is...............well nothing! :D I do have some blank calenders so I may work on those. I want to make one for my hubby w/just our dogs. Another I plan to make for my parents for Christmas. That's IF I can get the motivation to be creative tonight. I got some chicken breast for my meals that I have planned for the week. Love the individually wrapped ones you get at Costco....can freeze the whole package and only grab what I need!! Perfect. I'm all for simplicity. Kelton--You're DGD sounds precious! And wow she sure is a miracle baby! Your DD must be in awe over having her! As for the food questions... I've never heard of the Amish ground chicken and I don't know about the entrees, although that price sound pretty good to me. I try to stay away from entrees for the reason Jane has stated....high in sodium. And the yogurt sounds good! I have yogurt every morning for breakfast along with toast and peanut butter w/my cup of coffee. And what ever fruit I may have on hand at the time. Banana's are a favorite (for breakfast). Wish I could help you more...... Jane--I'm keeping you in my thoughts for tomorrow!! What kind of crafts are you and the DGD's interested in doing? My niece is always wanting to do a craft and my DD was always into that kind of thing......now a craft project isn't even close to something she wants to do. At least not like it used to be. If only I could go back in time for a little bit!!! Hello to the other gals out there. Ok...I'm off to clean the bathroom. The one room I always put off but can no longer do that. My "Strange" Happenings
Hi Ladies.
I had to force myself to get up "early" because I work tomorrow night and I woke up with a bad headache too. :headache: I think its lack of caffenine, as I have not had any in days. I know that is good, but the headaches from it are killer! lol. All I've had is water. :carrot: I feel like I've been living in the bathroom though! lol. Hi Jane. Don't worry about the pictures, maybe you can get some onto your computer by the winter holidays or something, if you want. ;) Well here goes: the weird things that have been going on is things get knocked over or thrown on the floor without anybody near them, including my cat who was sitting right next to me at the time. I have this monkey that my mil gave me that I keep hanging off of our bedroom door that only falls off if the door gets closed too hard or something. DH & I and our cat was all in the living room and I heard it (it makes a noise when it falls) and I told DH to go and check it out since we all were in the living room together. He said it was sitting in front of the dryer! Our dryer is a couple feet away from our bedroom door and there is no way it could have just "fallen" there, no way! The only way it could have gotten there is if it was thrown! No windows were open or anything like that either. My DH has "seen" a ghost here. He says his name is Carl, he wears a work shirt with his name on it, that is how he knew his name. I haven't "seen" him, he only knocks things over, usually only when I'm alone, this morning was the first time it happened with DH here. I am usually the one who "sees" the ghosts, but I haven't seen him. I have seen DH's Grandma at his mom's house when we first got together and his parents were down in Tennessee and DH & I were house-sitting for them. I was alone, just gotten home from work, and was walking down the hallway to his mom and dad's bathroom when I saw DH's grandma. I've never met the woman, she was passed before DH & I had met. Anywho, when I told DH, I described her, including that she was wearing a white slip. Well I had no way of knowing, but my DH and my MIL both said that she used to wear her slip around the house in the mornings while eating breakfast so she wouldn't get any food on her dress. There is no way I would have known that and I had only seen one small picture of her at that time and she was wearing clothes. lol. I think she was just "checking me out" since I was in her house and I was "new" at that time. (MIL and FIL live in her house now) I've also seen: an Indian and DH's Step-Grandfather at my in-laws house, when we were living there with them. I also seen his grandmother a couple of times after the 1st time. One time I had seen her and at that time her cat was still alive, she was sitting in a kitchen chair, petting her cat. I told DH this and he went up a bit later to go outside to smoke and his grandma's cat was rubbing the chair I had seen her in. He came right back downstairs, telling me and was kinda freaked out. I was like, "I told ya I saw her" lol. Then when we lived in Upstate NY I saw a quaker woman, with her child and they both were really bloody and all she said to me was, "help me". Later to find out where we lived at that time, up the road there was a major massacre and a lot of quakers were massacred. I haven't "seen" anybody in a long time, infact ever since we have moved out of my in-laws house. Then strange things began happening here and my DH told me about "Carl". I am thinking of searching the town's records and seeing if there is anything on file. Maybe they had a maintenance man here or something with that name. We also had a friend that DH was in class with at our college who heard about me seeing things and wanted me to come to his house to come and walk through his house to see if I seen or felt anything. (I didn't). But like I told him, Ghosts don't just hang around all the time and sometimes they hide esp if there are strangers around. Like at my in-laws house, I didn't see them all the time, we lived there for 3 yrs so it was over that amount of time that I saw those. So that is my story. So I've always been into the Paranormal. I watch most of those haunted shows and ghost shows. Maybe I need the Ghost Hunters to come here. lol. (its a tv show, there a team of people who go to haunted places researching) I hope you all don't think I'm too looney. :crazy: lol. Have a Great Night.
