Angela - sorry to hear about your godmother. Even though she had a good long life, you must still miss her.

Well, we had a party on Sunday so the weight did go up a tad, but it's back down again now. 10 lbs in 10 days so far!! I got back into my size 16 (US 12) jeans yesterday! Not quite into the 10s (US 6) yet though - they are still waiting in the attic. But when I got home from the hospital I couldn't even get them up over my hips, let alone fasten them, so that's pretty good. it was so nice to be abe to wear jeans instead of the baggy sweats I had been living in for the last 2 weeks.

Just hoping I don't put too much on over Christmas. We are not hosting Christmas this year so there is no excuse for me to have festive food in the house. I may indulge and get a bottle of Baileys, but that's all. I have to be careful though as I'm bfeeding - so I can only have small amounts. I had a single vodka and coke at the party on Sunday and when I fed her several hours later, she brought it up! Maybe she'll like Baileys better.

Hi there

I lnow I would prefer the Bailey's . . . so if Emily doesn't like it; ship it over the pond to me . . . TTFN

Lori, we're planning the same thing...going over on Christmas Eve and Day. So we're trying to do really good up until then. Our WW meetings are on Tuesdays, so we aren't having a meeting for two weeks. Hopefully that'll be enough time to undo whatever I do over the holiday! :) I'm hoping not to TOO overdo it, though. I'm certainly gonna try not to. But I'm trying to plan for it....as much as you can plan for something like that.

Hope everyone has a GREAT holiday! Remember the Reason for the season.

BBL,
Diana

Just a quick buzz by on Sunday. It's football and cooking day! Stayed on track yesterday, hope I can do the same today.

Hi Everyone!
I survived Christmas! We had our big family dinner on Christmas eve, with lots of eating - of course!
Then, I actually got back on track on Christmas day. I was so sick of food, it felt good to eat normally again.
I ended up losing weight this week, too - I was totally shocked.

Hope you are all doing well!

Robsia 12-28-2007 08:10 AM

Well, I weighed myself yesterday and was up 5 lbs. It sounds a lot, but last year I put on 10 lbs over the Christmas period, so it's better. Anyway, this morning, I weighed myself again and was down 3.6 of those 5 overnight!!

So if I can lose the remaining 1.4 by next Tuesday and get back to ticker I shall have officially maintained during Christmas week!!

My niece and her partner were not overly generous with the Christmas food, which is all to the good.

Hi Everyone! Hope you are having a great week prior to the New Year! It's friday - and I am happy LOL!

fiberlover 12-31-2007 08:50 PM

Happy New Year's eve everyone! Trying my best to stay on track, but the cookies keep nudging me off a bit LOL.

Happy 2008! I know this year is going to be great for all of us!

I am going to be extra vigilant now. I actually lost weight during the holidays, however - I am now at the weight where I hit my plateau from ****, which then led to my gain.
I won't feel comfortable until I am in the 160s.

Happy New Year Ladies! Wow, what a busy couple of weeks I have had. It feels good to be back at work, and getting back into the swing of things. Well, I ventured back on the scales this morning after two weeks of indulging....and yes they were up.....3 pounds:-(
I am so ready to get back on track. I'm going to join the gym tonight, and hopefully I can hit my goal weight this year. My husband and I are taking a super-inclusive vacation to Puerta Vallarta...so that is my inspiration. I hope you all had a nice holiday. Was Santa good to all of you??? I received lots of good stuff - I love opening presents, I'm like a little kid at Christmas I swear:-)
I'll keep you all posted on my progress. Chat Soon.
Angela

Angela - your trip sounds wonderful! Especially when it is 0 degrees here today brrrrrrrr.....

Doing pretty well. Get lots of exercise shoveling (and shivering!).

Hi gang . . . :grouphug:

I'm BACK . . . visit in Ontario was wonderful . . . trip home from airport in blizzard was horrendous. To top it off; somebody grabbed my luggage at Halifax airport and so I didn't get it until late yesterday evening.

Hopefully everything is settling down now and I can get my act back together and lose some weight (including the extra 5, I gained in December).:(

See you all later . . .
